بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the Name of God, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَيْرِ الْأَسْمَاءِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْآخِرَةِ وَ الْأُولَى وَ رَبِّ الْأَرْضِ وَ السَّمَاءِ

In the Name of God – the best of the Names. In the Name of the Lord of the Hereafter and this world, Lord of the earth and the heavens.

ذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ كَيْدُ الْأَعْدَاءِ وَ بِهَا تُدْفَعُ كُلُّ الْأَسْوَاءِ وَ بِالْقَسَمِ بِهَا يُكْفَى مَنِ اسْتَكْفَى

The Name with which the plots of the enemies will not be effective, with which all evil is fended off, and with which anyone who asks will be taken care of.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ خَالِقُهُ وَ بَارِئُ كُلِّ مَخْلُوقٍ وَ رَازِقُهُ

O' my God! You are the Lord and Creator of all things. You are the Initiator and Provider for all creators

وَ مُحْصِي كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ وَ عَالِمُهُ، وَ كَافِي كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ وَ قَاصِمُهُ

You count all things and know about them. You destroy all the rebellious oppressors

وَ مُعِينُ كُلِّ مُتَوَكِّلٍ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَاصِمُهُ وَ بِرُّ كُلِّ مَخْلُوقٍ وَ رَاحِمُهُ

You help all who rely on You and help them. You are kind and merciful to all creatures

لَيْسَ لَكَ ضِدٌّ فَيُعَانِدُكَ [فيعادك‌] وَ لَا نِدٌّ فَيُقَاوِمُكَ وَ لَا شَبِيهٌ فَيُعَادِلُكَ

There is none to oppose You. There is none to insist before You. There is none comparable to You

تَعَالَيْتَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً

You are Exalted and Great beyond all this

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ اعْتَصَمْتُ وَ اسْتَقَمْتُ وَ إِلَيْكَ تَوَجَّهْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ اعْتَمَدْتُ

O' my God! I seek protection in You and direct my attention to You. I depend upon You.

يَا خَيْرَ عَاصِمٍ وَ أَكْرَمَ رَاحِمٍ وَ أَحْكَمَ حَاكِمٍ وَ أَعْلَمَ عَالِمٍ

O the best Protector, the Kindest Merciful, the Wisest Ruler and Most Knowlegeable Scholar!

مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِكَ عَصَمْتَهُ وَ مَنِ اسْتَرْحَمَكَ رَحِمْتَهُ

You protect whoever seeks Your Protection. You are merciful to whoever seeks Your Mercy

وَ مَنِ اسْتَكْفَاكَ كَفَيْتَهُ وَ مَنْ تَوَكَّلَ [عَلَيْكَ‌] أَمِنْتَهُ وَ هَدَيْتَهُ

You suffice whoever seeks sufficiency. You secure and guide whoever relies upon You

سَمْعاً لِقَوْلِكَ يَا رَبِّ وَ طَاعَةً لِأَمْرِكَ [بِأَمْرِكَ‌]

O Lord! I hear and obey Your Orders

اللَّهُمَّ أَقُولُ وَ بِتَوْفِيقِكَ أَقُولُ وَ عَلَى كِفَايَتِكَ أَعُولُ

O my God! I speak with Your Success, I trust in Your Sufficiency

وَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ أَطُولُ وَ بِكَ أَسْتَكْفِي وَ أَصُولُ‌

I bestow by Your Power, I seek sufficiency from You.

فَاكْفِنِي اللَّهُمَّ وَ أَنْقِذْنِي وَ تَوَلَّنِي وَ اعْصِمْنِي وَ عَافِنِي وَ امْنَعْ مِنِّي وَ خُذْ لِي وَ كُنْ لِي بِعَيْنِكَ وَ لَا تَكُنْ عَلَيَّ

O my God! Please suffice for me, save me, protect me, give me well-being, defend me, and take care of me

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَ إِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَ إِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

My Lord! You are my Nourisher! In You I have placed my trust, and to You do I turn in repentance, and to You is (our) Final Goal

وَ أَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

And You have Power over all things.

شُكْراً لِلَّهِ

shukran lillah

Thanks be to Allah.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bi'anna laka alhamda

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of that all praise be to You,

وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ

wahdaka la sharika laka

alone, without having any partner,

وَأَنَّكَ وَاحِدٌ أَحَدٌ صَمَدٌ

wa annaka wahidun ahadun samadun

and that You are One, One and Only, and eternally Besought of all;

لَمْ تَلِدْ وَلَمْ تُولَدْ

lam talid wa lam tulad

You beget not nor are You begotten,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ

wa lam yakun laka kufwan ahadun

and there is none like You;

وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ

wa anna muhammadan `abduka wa rasuluka

and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

salawatuka `alayhi wa alihi

Your blessings be upon him and his Household.

يَا مَنْ هُوَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي شَأْنٍ

ya man huwa kulla yawmin fi sha'nin

O He Who is in a state every day!

كَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ أَنْ تَفَضَّلْتَ عَلَيَّ

kama kana min sha'nika an tafaddalta `alayya

Just as You decided to confer upon me with Your favor

بِأَنْ جَعَلْتَنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ إِجَابَتِكَ

bi'an ja`altani min ahli ijabatika

when You included me with those to whom You responded,

وَأَهْلِ دِينِكَ

wa ahli dinika

the company of Your religion,

وَأَهْلِ دَعْوَتِكَ

wa ahli da`watika

and the company of those who pray You,

وَوَفَّقْتَنِي لِذٰلِكَ فِي مُبْتَدَءِ خَلْقِي

wa waffaqtani lidhalika fi mubtada'i khalqi

You had led me to this in the beginning of Your creation of me

تَفَضُّلاً مِنْكَ وَكَرَماً وَجُوداً

tafaddulan minka wa karaman wa judan

as a sign of Your favoring, generosity, and magnanimity.

ثُمَّ أَرْدَفْتَ ٱلْفَضْلَ فَضْلاًَ

thumma ardafta alfadla fadlan

Then, You followed the favor with another favor,

وَٱلْجُودَ جُوداً

waljuda judan

the magnanimity with another magnanimity,

وَٱلْكَرَمَ كَرَماً

walkarama karaman

and the generosity with another generosity,

رَأْفَةً مِنْكَ وَرَحْمَةً

ra'fatan minka wa rahmatan

on account of Your kindness and mercy,

إِلَىٰ أَنْ جَدَّدْتَ ذٰلِكَ ٱلْعَهْدَ لِي تَجْدِيداً

ila an jaddadta dhalika al`ahda li tajdidan

so You renewed all that for me over again

بَعْدَ تَجدِيدِكَ خَلْقِي

ba`da tajdidika khalqi

after You renewed my creation

وَكُنْتُ نَسْياً مَنْسِيّاً

wa kuntu nasyan mansiyyan

while I was a thing quite forgotten,

نَاسِياً سَاهِياً غَافِلاً

nasiyan sahiyan ghafilan

oblivious, unmindful, and heedless.

فَأَتْمَمْتَ نِعْمَتَكَ

fa'atmamta ni`mataka

So, You completed Your grace

بِأَنْ ذَكَّرْتَنِي ذٰلِكَ

bi'an dhakkartani dhalika

when You made me remember that,

وَمَنَنْتَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ

wa mananta bihi `alayya

bestowed this favor upon me,

وَهَدَيْتَنِي لَهُ

wa hadaytani lahu

and guided me to it.

فَليَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ

falyakun min sha'nika

So, (please) may one of Your decisions,

يَا إِلٰهِي وَسَيِّدِي وَمَولاَيَ

ya ilahi wa sayyidi wa mawlaya

O my God, Master, and Sustainer,

أَنْ تُتِمَّ لِي ذٰلِكَ وَلاَ تَسْلُبْنيهِ

an tutimma li dhalika wa la taslubnihi

be that You perfect this for me and never deprive me of it

حَتَّىٰ تَتَوَفَّانِي عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ

hatta tatawaffani `ala dhalika

until You cause me to die on this faith

وَأَنْتَ عَنِّي رَاضٍ

wa anta `anni radin

and You are pleased with me.

فَإِنَّكَ أَحَقُّ ٱلْمُنعِمِينَ

fa'innaka ahaqqu almun`imina

For, verily, You are the worthiest Benefactor

أَنْ تُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَكَ عَلَيَّ

an tutimma ni`mataka `alayya

of perfecting Your grace for me.

اَللَّهُمَّ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا

allahumma sami`na wa ata`na

O Allah, we have listened, obeyed,

وَأَجَبْنَا دَاعِيَكَ بِمَنِّكَ

wa ajabna da`iyaka bimannika

and answered Your call on account of Your favor to us.

فَلَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ

falaka alhamdu

So, all praise be to You.

غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا

ghufranaka rabbana

Your forgiveness, O our Lord, we seek

وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

wa ilayka almasiru

and to You is the return.

آمَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ

amanna billahi wahdahu

We believe in Allah, alone;

لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ

la sharika lahu

there is no partner with Him,

وَبِرَسُولِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa birasulihi muhammadin

and (we believe) in His Messenger, Muhammad,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household,

وَصَدَّقْنَا وَأَجَبْنَا دَاعِيَ ٱللَّهِ

wa saddaqna wa ajabna da`iya allahi

we trust and respond to the caller of Allah,

وَٱتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فِي مُوَالاَةِ مَوْلاَنَا

wattaba`na alrrasula fi muwalati mawlana

we followed the Messenger as regards the loyalty to our master,

وَمَوْلَىٰ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa mawla almu'minina

and the master of the believers,

أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

amiri almu'minina

the commander of the believers,

عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ

`aliyyi bni abi talibin

`Ali, the son of Abu-Talib,

عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَخِي رَسُولِهِ

`abdi allahi wa akhi rasulihi

Allah’s servant and His Messenger’s brother,

وَٱلصِّدِّيقِ ٱلأَكْبَرِ

walssiddiqi al'akbari

the grandest veracious,

وَٱلْحُجَّةِ عَلَىٰ بَرِيَّتِهِ

walhujjati `ala bariyyatihi

the claim on His creation,

ٱلْمُؤَيِّدِ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ

almu'ayyidi bihi nabiyyahu

by him, He supported His Prophet

وَدِينَهُ ٱلْحَقَّ ٱلْمُبِينَ

wa dinahu alhaqqa almubina

and His religion, the manifest true.

عَلَماً لِدِينِ ٱللَّهِ

`alaman lidini allahi

(We believe in him as) the sign of Allah’s religion,

وَخَازِناً لِعِلْمِهِ

wa khazinan li`ilmihi

the keeper of His knowledge,

وَعَيْبَةَ غَيْبِ ٱللَّهِ

wa `aybata ghaybi allahi

the container of Allah’s unseen affairs,

وَمَوْضِعَ سِرِّ ٱللَّهِ

wa mawdi`a sirri allahi

the carrier of Allah’s secrets,

وَأَمِينَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِهِ

wa amina allahi `ala khalqihi

the trustee of Allah on His creatures,

وَشَاهِدَهُ فِي بَرِيَّتِهِ

wa shahidahu fi bariyyatihi

and His witness on His created beings.

اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِياً

allahumma rabbana innana sami`na munadiyan

O Allah, O our Lord, surely, we have heard a preacher

يُنَادِي لِلإِيـمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوٱ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا

yunadi lil'imani an aminu birabbikum fa'amanna

calling to the faith, saying, “Believe in your Lord.” So, we did believe.

رَبَّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا

rabbana faghfir lana dhunubana

Our Lord! Forgive us therefore our faults,

وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا

wa kaffir `anna sayyi'atina

cover our evil deeds,

وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلأَبْرَارِ

wa tawaffana ma`a al'abrari

and make us die with the righteous ones.

رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ

rabbana wa atina ma wa`adtana `ala rusulika

Our Lord! And grant us what You have promised us by Your messengers;

وَلاَ تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ

wa la tukhzina yawma alqiyamati

and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection.

إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

innaka la tukhlifu almi`ada

Surely, You do not fail to perform the promise.

فَإِنَّا يَا رَبَّنَا بِمَنِّكَ وَلُطْفِكَ

fa'inna ya rabbana bimannika wa lutfika

Because we, O our Lord, on account of Your grace and kindness,

أَجَبْنَا دَاعِيَكَ

ajabna da`iyaka

responded to Your caller

وَٱتَّبَعْنَا ٱلرَّسُولَ وَصَدَّقْنَاهُ

wattaba`na alrrasula wa saddaqnahu

followed the Messenger, believed him,

وَصَدَّقْنَا مَوْلَىٰ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa saddqna mawla almu'minina

trusted the Master of the Believers,

وَكَفَرْنَا بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّاغُوتِ

wa kafarna biljibti walttaghuti

and denied the idols (Jibt) and false deities (Taghut).

فَوَلِّنَا مَا تَوَلَّيْنَا

fawallina ma tawallayna

So, (please) join us with those whom we chose to join

وَٱحْشُرْنَا مَعَ أَئِمَّتِنَا

wahshurna ma`a a'immatina

and put us in the group of our Imams,

فَإِنَّا بِهِمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ مُوقِنُونَ

fa'inna bihim mu'minuna muqinuna

for we do believe in them with absolute belief,

وَلَهُمْ مُسَلِّمُونَ

wa lahum musallimuna

and to them we do submit.

آمَنَّا بِسِرِّهِمْ وَعَلاَنِيَتِهِمْ

amanna bisirrihim wa `alaniyatihim

We believe in their secret and open affairs,

وَشَاهِدِهِمْ وَغَائِبِهِمْ

wa shahidihim wa gha'ibihim

their present and their absent ones,

وَحَيِّهِمْ وَمَيِّتِهِمْ

wa hayyihim wa mayyitihim

and their living and their dead ones.

وَرَضِينَا بِهِمْ أَئِمَّةً

wa radina bihim a'immatan

We consent to them as our imams,

وَقَادَةً وَسَادَةً

wa qadatan wa sadatan

leaders, and chiefs.

وَحَسْبُنَا بِهِمْ

wa hasbuna bihim

And we stop at them

بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ ٱللَّهِ دُونَ خَلْقِهِ

baynana wa bayna allahi duna khalqihi

in all of our affairs with Allah, excluding all other creatures of Him.

لاَ نَبْتَغِي بِهِمْ بَدَلاً

la nabtaghi bihim badalan

We do not seek any substitutes of them,

وَلاَ نَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ وَلِيجَةً

wa la nattakhidhu min dunihim walijatan

and we do not betake ourselves any friends other than them.

وَبَرِئْنَا إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ

wa bari'na ila allahi

We, before Allah, disapprove

مِنْ كُلِّ مَنْ نَصَبَ لَهُمْ حَرْباً

min kulli man nasaba lahum harban

all those who made war with them,

مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلإِنْسِ

min aljinn wal'insi

from jinn and men,

مِنَ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ

min al'awwalina wal'akhirina

from the past and the coming generations.

وَكَفَرْنَا بِٱلْجِبْتِ وَٱلطَّاغُوتِ

wa kafarna biljibti walttaghuti

We deny the idols, the false deities,

وَٱلأَوْثَانِ ٱلأَرْبَعَةِ

wal-awthani al'arba`ati

the four pagans,

وَأَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَأَتْبَاعِهِمْ

wa ashya`ihim wa atba`ihim

their partisans, their followers,

وَكُلِّ مَنْ وَالاَهُمْ

wa kulli man walahum

and all those who support them

مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلإِنْسِ

min aljinni wal'insi

from jinn and human beings

مِنْ أَوَّلِ ٱلدَّهْرِ إِلَىٰ آخِرِهِ

min awwali alddahri ila akhirihi

from the first of time to the last of it.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نُشْهِدُكَ

allahumma inna nushhiduka

O Allah, we call You to witness

أَنَّا نَدِينُ بِمَا دَانَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدٌ وَآلُ مُحَمَّدٍ

annaa nadinu bima dana bihi muhammadun wa alu muhammadin

that we profess all that professed by Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ

salla allahu `alayhi wa `alayhim

Allah’s blessings be upon him and them.

وَقَوْلُنَا مَا قَالُوٱ

wa qawluna ma qalwa

We say only that which they say

وَدِينُنَا مَا دَانُوٱ بِهِ

wa dinuna ma danu bihi

and we believe in only that in which they believe.

مَا قَالُوٱ بِهِ قُلْنَا

ma qalu bihi qulna

What they say is our saying,

وَمَا دَانُوٱ بِهِ دِنَّا

wa ma danu bihi dinna

what they profess is what we profess,

وَمَا أَنْكَرُوٱ أَنْكَرْنَا

wa ma ankaru ankarna

what they reject is what we reject,

وَمَنْ وَالَوْٱ وَالَيْنَا

wa man walaw walayna

those to whom they adhere are they to whom we adhere,

وَمَنْ عَادَوْٱ عَادَيْنَا

wa man `adaw `adayna

those whom they oppose are they whom we oppose,

وَمَنْ لَعَنُوٱ لَعَنَّا

wa man la`anu la`anna

those whom they curse are they whom we curse,

وَمَنْ تَبَرَّؤُٱ مِنهُ تَبَرَّأْنَا مِنْهُ

wa man tabarra'u minhu tabarra'na minhu

those whom they condemn are they whom we condemn,

وَمَنْ تَرَحَّمُوٱ عَلَيْهِ تَرَحَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ

wa man tarahhamu `alayhi tarahhamna `alayhi

and those to whom they pray for mercy are they to whom we pray for mercy.

آمَنَّا وَسَلَّمْنَا

amanna wa sallamna

We believe in, submit to,

وَرَضِينَا وَٱتَّبَعْنَا مَوَالِيَنَا

wa radina wattaba`na mawaliyana

accept, and follow our masters,

صَلَوَاتُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ

salawatu allahi `alayhim

Allah’s blessings be upon them.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَتِمِّمْ لَنَا ذٰلِكَ وَلاَ تَسْلُبْنَاهُ

allahumma fatammim lana dhalika wa la taslubnahu

O Allah, so, perfect this for us and do not deprive us of it.

وَٱجْعَلْهُ مُسْتَقِرّاً ثَابِتاً عِنْدَنَا

waj`alhu mustaqirran thabitan `indana

Make it well-established and fixed with us

وَلاَ تَجْعَلْهُ مُسْتَعَاراً

wa la taj`alhu musta`aran

and do not make it temporal (belief).

وَأَحْيِنَا مَا أَحْيَيْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ

wa ahyina ma ahyaytana `alayhi

Make us live on it (no matter how long You will make us to live)

وَأَمِتْنَا إِذَا أَمَتَّنَا عَلَيْهِ

wa amitna idha amattana `alayhi

and cause us to die on it (when You decide to terminate our lives).

آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَئِمَّتُنَا

alu muhammadin a'immatuna

Muhammad’s Household are our Imams;

فَبِهِمْ نَأْتَمُّ

fabihim na'tammu

so, we follow them

وَإِيَّاهُمْ نُوَالِي

wa iyyahum nuwali

and act loyally to them.

وَعَدُوَّهُمْ عَدُوَّ ٱللَّهِ نُعَادِي

wa `aduwwahum `aduwwa allahi nu`adi

We oppose their enemy, the enemy of Allah;

فَٱجْعَلْنَا مَعَهُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

faj`alna ma`ahum fi alddunya wal'akhirati

so, (please) include us with them in this world and the Hereafter,

وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa min almuqarrabina

and make us of those drawn near (to You),

فَإِنَّا بِذٰلِكَ رَاضُونَ

fa'inna bidhalika raduna

for we are satisfied with that.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

الحَمْدُ للهِ

All praise be to Allah.

شُكْراً للهِ

Thanks be to Allah.

رَبَّنا إِنَّنا سَمِعْنا مُنادِياً يُنادِي لِلْإِيمانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا

rabana ainana samina munadiaa yunadi lilaiymani aan aminua birabikum famanaa

Our Lord! we have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye in the Lord,' and we have believed.

رَبَّنا فَاغْفِرْ لَنا ذُنُوبَنا وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئاتِنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْأَبْرارِ

rabana faghfir lana dhunubana wa kafir anaa sayiyatina wa tawafana maa alaabrari

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous

رَبَّنا وَ آتِنا ما وَعَدْتَنا عَلى‌ رُسُلِكَ وَ لا تُخْزِنا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ إِنَّكَ لا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ

rabana wa atina ma waadtana aly rusulika wa la tukhzina yawma alqiamati ainaka la tukhlifu almiada

Our Lord! Grant us what You didst promise unto us through Your apostles, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For You never break Your promise.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ وَ كَفَى بِكَ شَهِيداً

allahuma ainiy aushhiduka wa kafay bika shahidaa

O' my God! I take You as witness. You suffice as a witness for me

وَ أُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَ سُكَّانَ سَمَاوَاتِكَ وَ أَرْضِكَ

wa aushhidu malayikataka wa hamalata arshika wa sukaana samawatika wa aardika

I take Your angels, the carriers of Your Throne, the controllers of Your heavens and earth as witnesses

بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْمَعْبُودُ الَّذِي لَيْسَ مِنْ لَدُنْ عَرْشِكَ إِلَى قَرَارِ أَرْضِكَ‌

biaanaka aanta allahu aladhi la ailaha ailaa aanta almabudu aladhi laysa min ladun arshika ailay qarari aardika

that You are God and there are no Gods but You

مَعْبُودٌ يُعْبَدُ سِوَاكَ إِلَّا بَاطِلٌ مُضْمَحِلٌّ غَيْرَ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ

mabudu yubadu siwaka ailaa batilu mudmahilu ghayra wajhika alkarimi

You are the one besides whose Noble Face none is worshipped!

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الْمَعْبُودُ لَا مَعْبُودَ سِوَاكَ تَعَالَيْتَ عَمَّا يَقُولُ الظَّالِمُونَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً

la ailaha ailaa aanta almabudu la mabuda siwaka taalayta amaa yaqulu alzaalimuna uluaa kabiraa

There is no God but You! O' He who is Worshipped and there is no one else to worship but You. You are Sublime and You are high indeed are You exalted above what the evil-doers say! "Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!"

وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُكَ وَ رَسُولُكَ

wa aashhadu aana muhamadaa abduka wa rasuluka

And I bear witness that Muhammad is Your Servant and Your Prophet.

وَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ وَلِيُّهُمْ وَ مَوْلَاهُمْ وَ مَوْلَايَ

wa aashhadu aana aliaa aamiru almuminina wa waliuhum wa mawlahum wa mawlaya

I witness that Ali is the Commander of the Faithful. He is their friend, and master and he is my master.

رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا النِّدَاءَ وَ صَدَّقْنَا الْمُنَادِيَ رَسُولَكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

rabana ainana samina alnidaa wa sadaqna almunadia rasulaka salay allahu alayhi wa alihi

O' our Lord! We heard the call and acknowledge the caller who is Your Prophet (God's blessings be upon him and his family).

إِذْ نَادَى نِدَاءً عَنْكَ بِالَّذِي أَمَرْتَهُ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ عَنْكَ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مُوَالاةِ وَلِيِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

aidh naday nidaa anka bialadhi aamartahu aan yubaligha anka ma aanzalta ailayhi min mualati walii almuminina

He called based on Your Order and declared the mastery of the Commander of the Faithful.

وَ حَذَّرْتُهُ وَ أَنْذَرْتَهُ إِنْ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ أَنْ تَسْخَطَ عَلَيْهِ

wa hadhartuhu wa aandhartahu ain lam yablugh aan taskhata alayhi

about which You had admonished him that You would be angry with him if he does not deliver this message

وَ أَنَّهُ إِذَا بَلَّغَ رِسَالَتَكَ [رِسَالاتِكَ‌] عَصَمْتَهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَنَادَى مُبَلِّغاً وَحْيَكَ وَ رِسَالاتِكَ

wa aanahu aidha balagha risalataka [risalatika] asamtahu mina alnaasi fanaday mubalighaa wahyaka wa risalatika

and that You will protect him from the people if he does. So he delivered this message and declared,

أَلَا مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ وَ مَنْ كُنْتُ وَلِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ وَلِيُّهُ وَ مَنْ كُنْتُ نَبِيَّهُ فَعَلِيٌّ أَمِيرُهُ

aala man kuntu mawlahu faaliu mawlahu wa man kuntu waliahu faaliu waliuhu wa man kuntu nabiahu faaliu aamiruhu

Whoever I am the Master of, Ali is the Master of. Whoever I am the Guardian of, Ali is the Guardian of! Whoever I am the Prophet of, Ali is the Commander of!

رَبَّنَا قَدْ أَجَبْنَا دَاعِيَكَ النَّذِيرَ الْمُنْذِرَ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدَكَ الَّذِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ

rabana qad aajabna daiaka alnadhira almundhira muhamadaa abdaka aladhi aanamta alayhi

O our Lord! We positively respond to the call of Muhammad - the conveyor of good tidings, the warner, Your servant whom You blessed

وَ جَعَلْتَهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ

wa jaaltahu mathalaa libani aisrayiyla

and established as an example for the Children of Israel

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا وَ اتَّبَعْنَا مَوْلَانَا وَ وَلِيَّنَا وَ هَادِيَنَا وَ دَاعِيَنَا وَ دَاعِيَ الْأَنَامِ

rabana amanaa wa atabana mawlana wa waliana wa hadiana wa daiana wa daia alaanami

O' our Lord! We believe and follow our master, our guardian, our guide, the one who invites us and invites the people

وَ صِرَاطَكَ السَّوِيَّ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ وَ مَحَجَّتَكَ الْبَيْضَاءَ وَ سَبِيلَكَ الدَّاعِيَ إِلَيْكَ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ هُوَ وَ مَنِ اتَّبَعَهُ

wa sirataka alsawia almustaqima wa mahajataka albaydaa wa sabilaka aldaaia ailayka alay basirati hua wa mani atabaahu

and in Your Straight Path, Your Bright Path through which he and his followers call us to You

وَ سُبْحانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ‌ بِوَلَايَتِهِ وَ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَ بِاتِّخَاذِ الْوَلَائِجِ مِنْ دُونِهِ

wa subhana allahi amaa yushrikuna biwalayatihi wa biaamri rabihim wa biatikhadhi alwalayiji min dunihi

Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! Some doubt his Mastery and Order of their Lord by finding associates other than him

فَاشْهَدْ يَا إِلَهِي أَنَّ الْإِمَامَ الْهَادِيَ الْمُرْشِدَ الرَّشِيدَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

fashhad ya ailahi aana alaimama alhadia almurshida alrashida alia bna aabi talibi salawatu allahi alayhi aamiru almuminina

O' my God! Please bear witness that Ali ibn Abi Talib (God's blessing be upon him) is the Divine Leader – the guide, the guider and the guided

الَّذِي ذَكَرْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ قُلْتَ‌ وَ إِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتابِ لَدَيْنا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ‌

aladhi dhakartahu fi kitabika qulta wa ainahu fi aumi alkitabi ladayna laaliu hakimu

about whom You said the following in Your Book, "And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom."

اللَّهُمَّ فَأَنَا نَشْهَدُ بِأَنَّهُ عَبْدُكَ الْهَادِي مِنْ بَعْدِ نَبِيِّكَ النَّذِيرُ الْمُنْذِرُ وَ الصِّرَاطُ الْمُسْتَقِيمُ

allahuma faana nashhadu biaanahu abduka alhadi min badi nabiika alnadhiru almundhiru wa alsiratu almustaqimu

O' my God! We bear witness that he is Your Guiding Servant after Your Prophet – the conveyor of good tidings, the warner, the right path

وَ إِمَامُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ قَائِدُ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِينَ وَ حُجَّتُكَ الْبَالِغَةُ وَ لِسَانُكَ الْمُعَبِّرُ عَنْكَ فِي خَلْقِكَ

wa aimamu almuminina wa qayidu alghuri almuhajalina wa hujatuka albalighatu wa lisanuka almuabiru anka fi khalqika

and the Divine Leader of the believers, leader of those with white-foreheads, Your Clear Proof, Your Speaking Tongue to the people on Your Behalf

وَ الْقَائِمُ بِالْقِسْطِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّكَ وَ دَيَّانُ دِينِكَ وَ خَازِنُ عِلْمِكَ وَ عَيْبَةُ وَحْيِكَ

wa alqayimu bialqisti bada nabiika wa dayaanu dinika wa khazinu ilmika wa aybatu wahyika

one standing firm on justice after Your Prophet who propagates Your Religion, the Treasure of Your Knowledge, the seat of Your Revelations

وَ عَبْدُكَ وَ أَمِينُكَ الْمَأْمُونُ الْمَأْخُوذُ مِيثَاقُهُ مَعَ مِيثَاقِكَ وَ مِيثَاقِ رُسُلِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa abduka wa aaminuka almamunu almakhudhu mithaquhu maa mithaqika wa mithaqi rusulika min khalqika

Your Servant, Your Trusted One, who has made a covenant when You took covenant from Your Messengers

وَ بَرِيَّتِكَ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَ الْإِخْلَاصِ بِالْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

wa bariatika bialshahadati wa alaikhlasi bialwahdaniati biaanaka aanta allahu la ailaha ailaa aanta

witnessing to and sincere in his belief of Your Oneness. For You are God, There is no God but You

وَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدُكَ وَ رَسُولُكَ وَ عَلِيٌّ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ جَعَلْتَ الْإِقْرَارَ بِوَلَايَتِهِ تَمَامَ تَوْحِيدِكَ

wa muhamadu abduka wa rasuluka wa aliu aamiru almuminina wa jaalta alaiqrara biwalayatihi tamama tawhidika

Muhammad is Your Servant and Prophet. And Ali is the Commander of the Faithful. You established confessing to His Mastery as the perfection of belief in Your Oneness

وَ الْإِخْلَاصَ لَكَ بِوَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ وَ إِكْمَالَ دِينِكَ وَ تَمَامَ نِعْمَتِكَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ

wa alaikhlasa laka biwahdaniatika wa aikmala dinika wa tamama nimatika alay jamii khalqika

and sincerity for you and the completion of Your Religion and the perfection of Your Blessings for all Your creatures

فَقُلْتَ وَ قَوْلُكَ الْحَقُ‌ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَ أَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَ رَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلامَ‌ دِيناً

faqulta wa qawluka alhaqu alyawma aakmaltu lakum dinakum wa aatmamtu alaykum nimati wa raditu lakumu alaislama dinaa

You said the following and whatever you say is right. "This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion."

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا مَنَنْتَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْإِخْلَاصِ لَكَ بِوَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ

falaka alhamdu alay ma mananta bihi alayna mina alaikhlasi laka biwahdaniatika

Praise belongs to You for Your Favor upon us in sincere utterance of Your Oneness

وَ جُدْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِمُوَالاةِ وَلِيِّكَ الْهَادِي مِنْ بَعْدِ نَبِيِّكَ النَّذِيرِ الْمُنْذِرِ

wa judta alayna bimualati waliika alhadi min badi nabiika alnadhiri almundhiri

and the Mastery of Your Friend upon us after Your Prophet - the one who gives good tidings, the one who warns

وَ رَضِيتَ لَنَا الْإِسْلَامَ دِيناً بِمَوْلَانَا وَ أَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا نِعْمَتَكَ بِالَّذِي جَدَّدْتَ لَنَا عَهْدَكَ وَ مِيثَاقَكَ وَ ذَكَّرْتَنَا ذَلِكَ

wa radita lana alaislama dinaa bimawlana wa aatmamta alayna nimataka bialadhi jadadta lana ahdaka wa mithaqaka wa dhakartana dhalika

You were pleased with Islam as our Religion due to our master, and perfected Your Blessings with the renewal of Your Promise and Covenant, and its reminder

وَ جَعَلْتَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ لِعَهْدِكَ وَ مِيثَاقِكَ وَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْوَفَاءِ بِذَلِكَ

wa jaaltana min aahli alaikhlasi wa altasdiqi liahdika wa mithaqika wa min aahli alwafai bidhalika

Let us be amongst the sincere ones who acknowledge Your Promise and Covenant, who adhere to this

وَ لَمْ تَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ النَّاكِثِينَ وَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ الْجَاحِدِينَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

wa lam tajalna mina alnaakithina wa almukadhibina aladhina yukadhibuna aljahidina biawmi aldiyni

and do not let us be amongst the deserters and those who refute the Day of Judgment

وَ لَمْ تَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُغَيِّرِينَ وَ الْمُبَدِّلِينَ وَ الْمُنْحَرِفِينَ [وَ الْمُحَرِّفِينَ‌] وَ الْمُبَتِّكِينَ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ

wa lam tajalna mina almughayirina wa almubadilina wa almunharifina [wa almuharifina] wa almubatikina adhana alaanami

Do not place us amongst those who change and manipulate things, who cut the ears of the animals,

وَ الْمُغَيِّرِينَ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ وَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ‌ اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطانُ فَأَنْساهُمْ ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ‌ وَ صَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ

wa almughayirina khalqa allahi wa mina aladhina astahwadha alayhimu alshaytanu faansahum dhikra allahi wa sadahum ani alsabili wa alsirati almustaqimi

change Gods Creation who have been overcome by Satan, have forgotten Gods Remembrance and have deviated from the Right Path.

اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنِ الْجَاحِدِينَ وَ النَّاكِثِينَ وَ الْمُغَيِّرِينَ وَ الْمُبَدِّلِينَ وَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ‌ الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ‌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ

allahuma alani aljahidina wa alnaakithina wa almughayirina wa almubadilina wa almukadhibina aladhina yukadhibuna biawmi aldiyni mina alaawalina wa alakhirina

O' my God! Please damn those who deny God, the deserters, the ones who change, the liars and those who refute - those who lie about the Resurrection Day from the first and the last generations.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى نِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيْنَا بِالَّذِي هَدَيْتَنَا إِلَى مُوَالاةِ وُلَاةِ أَمْرِكَ مِنْ بَعْدِ نَبِيِّكَ

allahuma laka alhamdu alay nimatika alayna bialadhi hadaytana ailay mualati wulati aamrika min badi nabiika

O' my God! Praise belongs to You over Your Blessings to us that which You guided us towards friendship with those in charge of Your Affairs after Your Prophet

وَ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْهَادِينَ الَّذِينَ جَعَلْتَهُمْ أَرْكَاناً لِتَوْحِيدِكَ وَ أَعْلَامَ الْهُدَى وَ مَنَارَ التَّقْوَى وَ الْعُرْوَةَ الْوُثْقَى

wa alaayimati alhadina aladhina jaaltahum aarkanaa litawhidika wa aalama alhuday wa manara altaqway wa alurwata alwuthqay

and the guiding Divine Leaders whom You established as the pillars of the profession of Your Unity, signs of true guidance, pillars of virtue, the most trustworthy strong-holds

وَ كَمَالَ دِينِكَ وَ تَمَامَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَ مَنْ بِهِمْ وَ بِمُوَالاتِهِمْ رَضِيتَ لَنَا الْإِسْلَامَ دِيناً

wa kamala dinika wa tamama nimatika wa man bihim wa bimualatihim radita lana alaislama dinaa

the perfection of Your Religion, the completion of Your Blessings, those by whom and through whose Mastery You chose Islam as our religion.

رَبَّنَا فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ آمَنَّا بِكَ وَ صَدَّقْنَا نَبِيَّكَ الرَّسُولَ النَّذِيرَ الْمُنْذِرَ

rabana falaka alhamdu amanaa bika wa sadaqna nabiaka alrasula alnadhira almundhira

O' our Lord! Praise belongs to You. We believe in You and we certify Your Prophet – the Messenger, the one who gives good tidings, the one who warns.

وَ اتَّبَعْنَا الْهَادِيَ مِنْ بَعْدِ النَّذِيرِ الْمُنْذِرِ وَالَيْنَا وَلِيَّهُمْ وَ عَادَيْنَا عَدُوَّهُمْ

wa atabana alhadia min badi alnadhiri almundhiri walayna waliahum wa adayna aduahum

We follow the guides after the one who gives good tidings, the one who warns. We shall be friends with their friends and enemy of their enemies

وَ بَرِئْنَا مِنَ الْجَاحِدِينَ وَ النَّاكِثِينَ وَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

wa barina mina aljahidina wa alnaakithina wa almukadhibina biawmi aldiyni

Please separate us from those who deny God, the deserters and those who refute the Day of the Judgment.

اللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ يَا صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ يَا مَنْ‌ لا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ

allahuma fakama kana min shanika ya sadiqa alwadi ya man la yukhlifu almiada

O' my God! O' Truthful in promise! O' He who never breaks His Promise.

يَا مَنْ هُوَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي شَأْنٍ أَنْ أَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا نِعْمَتَكَ بِمُوَالاةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ الْمَسْئُولِ عَنْهُمْ عِبَادُكَ

ya man hua kula yawmi fi shani aan aatmamta alayna nimataka bimualati aawliayika almasyuwli anhum ibaduka

O' He who shines in Splendour every day! It was You who completed Your Blessings for us by the Mastery of Your Friends - those to whom Your Servants are responsible,

فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ‌ ثُمَّ لَتُسْئَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ‌ وَ قُلْتَ‌ وَ قِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْؤُلُونَ‌

fainaka qulta thuma latusyaluna yawmayidhi ani alnaimi wa qulta wa qifuhum ainahum maswuluna

since You have said, "Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!)." and said, "But stop them, for they must be asked:"

وَ مَنَنْتَ بِشَهَادَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ لَكَ بِوَلَايَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ الْهُدَاةِ مِنْ بَعْدِ النَّذِيرِ الْمُنْذِرِ السِّرَاجِ الْمُنِيرِ

wa mananta bishahadati alaikhlasi laka biwalayati aawliayika alhudati min badi alnadhiri almundhiri alsiraji almuniri

You Favoured with sincere testimony to the Mastery of Your Friends who are the ones who give good tidings, the ones who warn, and the luminous lanterns.

وَ أَكْمَلْتَ لَنَا الدِّينَ بِمُوَالاتِهِمْ وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ عَدُوِّهِمْ وَ أَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا النِّعَمَ بِالَّذِي جَدَّدْتَ لَنَا عَهْدَكَ

wa aakmalta lana aldiyna bimualatihim wa albaraati min aduihim wa aatmamta alayna alniama bialadhi jadadta lana ahdaka

You perfected the Religion by their Mastery and disowning their enemies.

وَ ذَكَّرْتَنَا مِيثَاقَكَ الْمَأْخُوذَ مِنَّا فِي ابْتِدَاءِ [مُبْتَدَإِ] خَلْقِكَ إِيَّانَا

wa dhakartana mithaqaka almakhudha minaa fi abtidai [mubtadai] khalqika aiyaana

You perfected the Blessings for us by renewing their Covenant and by reminding us of our testimony in the beginning of Creation.

وَ جَعَلْتَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِجَابَةِ وَ ذَكَّرْتَنَا الْعَهْدَ وَ الْمِيثَاقَ وَ لَمْ تُنْسِنَا ذِكْرَكَ

wa jaaltana min aahli alaijabati wa dhakartana alahda wa almithaqa wa lam tunsina dhikraka

You let us be of those who answer in the positive, and reminded us about our promise and covenant, and did not let us forget it

فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ‌ وَ إِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلى‌ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قالُوا بَلى‌ شَهِدْنا بِمَنِّكَ

fainaka qulta wa aidh aakhadha rabuka min bani adama min zuhurihim dhuriyatahum wa aashhadahum aly aanfusihim aalastu birabikum qalua baly shahidna bimanika

and said, "When Your Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!"We bear witness to Your Favor

بِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبُّنَا وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدَكَ وَ رَسُولَكَ نَبِيُّنَا

biaanaka aanta allahu la ailaha ailaa aanta rabuna wa aana muhamadaa abdaka wa rasulaka nabiuna

that You are God. There are no Gods but You. You are our Lord and Your Servant and Prophet Muhammad is our Prophet.

وَ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيُّنَا وَ مَوْلَانَا

wa aana aliaa aamira almuminina waliuna wa mawlana

We bear witness that the Commander of the Faithful Ali is our Guardian and Master.

وَ شَهِدْنَا بِالْوَلَايَةِ لِوَلِيِّنَا وَ مَوْلَانَا مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ مِنْ صُلْبِ وَلِيِّنَا وَ مَوْلَانَا

wa shahidna bialwalayati liwaliina wa mawlana min dhuriyati nabiika min sulbi waliina wa mawlana

We bear witness to the Mastery of our Master and our Guardian from the progeny of Your Prophet, and from the lineage of our Master -

عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَبْدِكَ الَّذِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ وَ جَعَلْتَهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْكَ عَلِيّاً حَكِيماً

alii bni aabi talibi aamiri almuminina abdika aladhi aanamta alayhi wa jaaltahu fi aumi alkitabi ladayka aliaa hakimaa

the Commander of the Faithful Ali ibn Abi Talib - who is Your Servant whom You blessed! You established him as Knowing and Wise in the Mother of the Book that is near You

وَ جَعَلْتَهُ آيَةً لِنَبِيِّكَ وَ آيَةً مِنْ آيَاتِكَ الْكُبْرَى

wa jaaltahu ayata linabiika wa ayata min ayatika alkubray

and established him as a sign for Your Prophet and as one of the main signs

وَ الَنَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ‌ الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ‌

wa alanabai alazimi aladhi hum fihi mukhtalifuna

He is the great news about whom many people had differences

وَ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي هُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ وَ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَسْئُولُونَ

wa alnabai alazimi aladhi hum anhu muriduna wa anhu yawma alqiamati masyuwluna

He is that great news from which they turned their faces away and about which they shall be questioned on the Resurrection Day

وَ تَمَامَ نِعْمَتِكَ الَّتِي عَنْهَا يُسْأَلُ عِبَادُكَ إِذْ هُمْ مَوْقُوفُونَ وَ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ مَسْئُولُونَ

wa tamama nimatika alati anha yusaalu ibaduka aidh hum mawqufuna wa ani alnaimi masyuwluna

He is the Perfection of Your Blessings for whom Your Servants shall be stopped and questioned.

اللَّهُمَّ وَ كَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ مَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِالْهِدَايَةِ إِلَى مَعْرِفَتِهِمْ فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ

allahuma wa kama kana min shanika ma aanamta alayna bialhidayati ailay marifatihim falyakun min shanika

O' my God! As You honored us with the blessing of being guided to their recognition, please honor us

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ تُبَارِكَ لَنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هَذَا الَّذِي ذَكَّرْتَنَا فِيهِ عَهْدَكَ وَ مِيثَاقَكَ

aan tusaliya alay muhamadi wa ali muhamadi wa aan tubarika lana fi yawmina hadha aladhi dhakartana fihi ahdaka wa mithaqaka

and bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny, bless us on this day in which You reminded us of Your Promise and Your Covenant! Please complete our religion and perfect Your Blessings for us.

وَ أَكْمَلْتَ لَنَا دِينَنَا وَ أَتْمَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا نِعْمَتَكَ وَ جَعَلْتَنَا بِنِعْمَتِكَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِجَابَةِ وَ الْإِخْلَاصِ بِوَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ

wa aakmalta lana dinana wa aatmamta alayna nimataka wa jaaltana binimatika min aahli alaijabati wa alaikhlasi biwahdaniatika

Please let us be amongst those whose prayers are answered and are sincere in their belief to Your Oneness,

وَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِيمَانِ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ بِوَلَايَةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ وَ أَعْدَاءِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ الْجَاحِدِينَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

wa min aahli alaiymani wa altasdiqi biwalayati aawliayika wa albaraati min aadayika wa aadai aawliayika aljahidina almukadhibina biawmi aldiyni

and those with true faith, acknowledsging the Mastery of Your Friends, and disowning Your enemies, the enemies of Your Friends, those who deny God and thos who refute the Day of the Judgment

فَأَسْأَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ تَمَامَ مَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا وَ لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعَانِدِينَ وَ لَا تُلْحِقْنَا بِالْمُكَذِّبِينَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

faasaaluka ya rabi tamama ma aanamta alayna wa la tajalna mina almuanidina wa la tulhiqna bialmukadhibina biawmi aldiyni

O' Lord! I ask You for the perfection of the Blessings which You have granted us. Please do not let us be amongst those who oppose and do not let us join those who refute the Day of the Judgment

وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً

wa ajal lana qadama sidqi maa almutaqina wa ajal lana min ladunka rahmata

Please let us take a true step along with the virtous ones. Please grant us mercy from Your own Presence

وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَاماً إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ يَوْمَ يُدْعَى كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ

wa ajal lana min almutaqina aimamaa ailay yawmi aldiyni yawma yuday kulu aunasi biaimamihim

and let us have a leader from the pious people until the Judgment Day - the day on which all the people are called along with their leaders

وَ اجْعَلْنَا فِي ظِلِّ الْقَوْمِ الْمُتَّقِينَ الْهُدَاةِ بَعْدَ النَّذِيرِ الْمُنْذِرِ وَ الْبَشِيرِ الْأَئِمَّةِ الدُّعَاةِ إِلَى الْهُدَى

wa ajalna fi zili alqawmi almutaqina alhudati bada alnadhiri almundhiri wa albashiri alaayimati alduati ailay alhuday

And place us in the shade of the pious people – the guides after the conveyor of good tidings, the warners, the Divine Leaders who invite to guidance

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الدُّعَاةِ إِلَى النَّارِ وَ هُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ‌ مِنَ الْمَقْبُوحِينَ‌

wa la tajalna mina almukadhibina alduati ailay alnaari wa hum yawma alqiamati wa aawliawuhum mina almaqbuhina

Please do not let us be amongst the liars who invite towards the Fire and are disgraced along with their friends on the Resurrection Day

رَبَّنَا فَاحْشُرْنَا فِي زُمْرَةِ الْهَادِي الْمَهْدِيِّ

rabana fahshurna fi zumrati alhadi almahdii

O our Lord! Please resurrect us amongst those who are guided

وَ أَحْيِنَا مَا أَحْيَيْتَنَا عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ بِعَهْدِكَ وَ مِيثَاقِكَ الْمَأْخُوذِ مِنَّا عَلَى مُوَالاةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ

wa aahyina ma aahyaytana alay alwafai biahdika wa mithaqika almakhudhi minaa alay mualati aawliayika

and resurrect us when You do so faithfulness to Your Pledge and the Covenat taken from us regarding friendship with Your Trustees

وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ وَ النَّاكِثِينَ بِمِيثَاقِكَ وَ تَوَفَّنَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ

wa albaraati min aadayika almukadhibina biawmi aldiyni wa alnaakithina bimithaqika wa tawafana alay dhalika

and disowning from Your enemies who refute the Day of Judgment, and the deserters of Your Covenant, and let us die in this way.

وَ اجْعَلْ لَنَا مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا وَ أَثْبِتْ لَنَا قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْهِجْرَةِ إِلَيْهِمْ

wa ajal lana maa alrasuli sabilaa wa aathbit lana qadama sidqi fi alhijrati ailayhim

Please keep us on the path of the Messenger and please firmly establish our true steps in immigration to them

وَ اجْعَلْ مَحْيَانَا خَيْرَ الْمَحْيَا وَ مَمَاتَنَا خَيْرَ الْمَمَاتِ وَ مُنْقَلَبَنَا خَيْرَ الْمُنْقَلَبِ عَلَى مُوَالاةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ

wa ajal mahyana khayra almahya wa mamatana khayra almamati wa munqalabana khayra almunqalabi alay mualati aawliayika

Please let our lives be the best lives and let our deaths be the best deaths and let our transformations be the best transformations- in love for Your Friends

وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ حَتَّى تَتَوَفَّانَا وَ أَنْتَ عَنَّا رَاضٍ قَدْ أَوْجَبْتَ لَنَا الْخُلُودُ فِي جَنَّتِك‌ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

wa albaraati min aadayika hatay tatawafaana wa aanta anaa radi qad aawjabta lana alkhuludu fi janatik birahmatika

and disowning from Your Enemies until You take away our lives with You pleased with us: And make our entry into Paradise a sure thing out of Your Mercy

وَ الْمَثْوَى فِي جِوَارِكَ وَ الْإِنَابَةَ إِلَى دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ‌ لا يَمَسُّنا فِيها نَصَبٌ وَ لا يَمَسُّنا فِيها لُغُوبٌ

wa almathway fi jiwarika wa alainabata ailay dari almuqamati min fadlika la yamasuna fiha nasabu wa la yamasuna fiha lughubu

and let us reside by You and turn to the House of Permanence out of Your Nobility! without and hardship or strenuous efforts theirs

‌ رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَمَرْتَنَا بِطَاعَةِ وُلَاةِ أَمْرِكَ وَ أَمَرْتَنَا أَنْ نَكُونَ مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ

rabana ainaka aamartana bitaati wulati aamrika wa aamartana aan nakuna maa alsaadiqina

O Our Lord! You ordered us to obey him and obey those in charge of Your Affairs.

فَقُلْتَ‌ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ‌

faqulta aatiua allaha wa aatiua alrasula wa auwli alaamri minkum

You ordered us and said, "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you."

وَ قُلْتَ‌ يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَ كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ‌

wa qulta ya aayuha aladhina amanua ataqua allaha wa kunua maa alsaadiqina

You also said, "O' ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed)."

رَبَّنَا سَمِعْنَا وَ أَطَعْنَا رَبَّنَا ثَبِّتْ أَقْدامَنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْأَبْرارِ مُسْلِمِينَ مُسَلِّمِينَ مُصَدِّقِينَ لِأَوْلِيَائِكَ

rabana samina wa aatana rabana thabit aaqdamana wa tawafana maa alaabrari muslimina musalimina musadiqina liaawliayika

Our Lord! We hear and obey. Our Lord! Please firmly establish our steps amd take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous as true Muslims who acknowledge Your Friends

وَ لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنا وَ هَبْ لَنا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ‌

wa la tuzigh qulubana bada aidh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmata ainaka aanta alwahaabu

Our Lord! "(they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after You have guided us, but grant us mercy from Your own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure."

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِكَ وَ صَدَّقْنَا نَبِيَّكَ وَ وَالَيْنَا وَلِيَّكَ وَ الْأَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ بَعْدِ نَبِيِّكَ وَ وَلِيَّكَ مَوْلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ

rabana amanaa bika wa sadaqna nabiaka wa walayna waliaka wa alaawliaa min badi nabiika wa waliaka mawlay almuminina alia bna aabi talibi salawatu allahi alayhi

O our Lord! We believe in You and we acknowledge Your Prophet: Your Friend and those after Your Prophet are our Guardians. And Your Friend is the master of the believers Ali ibn Abi Talib (God's blessing be upon him) -

وَ الْإِمَامَ الْهَادِيَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الرَّسُولِ النَّذِيرِ الْمُنْذِرِ السِّرَاجِ الْمُنِيرِ

wa alaimama alhadia min badi alrasuli alnadhiri almundhiri alsiraji almuniri

-the Divine Leader –the guide after the Prophet - the conveyor of good tidings, the warner, and the luminous lantern

رَبَّنَا فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ أَنْ جَعَلْتَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْوَفَاءِ بِعَهْدِكَ بِمَنِّكَ عَلَيْنَا وَ لُطْفِكَ لَنَا

rabana fakama kana min shanika aan jaaltana min aahli alwafai biahdika bimanika alayna wa lutfika lana

O our Lord! You have let us be faithful to Your Pledge by Your Favor and Kindness to us.

فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَ تُكَفِّرَ عَنَّا سَيِّئاتِنا وَ تَوَفَّنا مَعَ الْأَبْرارِ

falyakun min shanika aan taghfira lana dhunubana wa tukafira anaa sayiyatina wa tawafana maa alaabrari

So please "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, blot out from us our iniquities, and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous

رَبَّنا وَ آتِنا ما وَعَدْتَنا عَلى‌ رُسُلِكَ وَ لا تُخْزِنا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ إِنَّكَ لا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعادَ

rabana wa atina ma waadtana aly rusulika wa la tukhzina yawma alqiamati ainaka la tukhlifu almiada

Our Lord! Grant us what You didst promise unto us through Your apostles, and save us from shame on the Day of Judgment: For You never breakest Your promise."

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِكَ وَ وَفَيْنَا بِعَهْدِكَ وَ صَدَّقْنَا رُسُلَكَ وَ اتَّبَعْنَا وُلَاةَ الْأَمْرِ مِنْ بَعْدِ رُسُلِكَ

rabana amanaa bika wa wafayna biahdika wa sadaqna rusulaka wa atabana wulata alaamri min badi rusulika

O‟ our Lord! We believe in You, we are loyal to Your pledge and we acknowledge Your Prophet. We follow those in charge of the affairs after Your Prophet

وَ وَالَيْنَا أَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ عَادَيْنَا أَعْدَاءَكَ‌ فَاكْتُبْنا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

wa walayna aawliaaka wa adayna aadaaka faktubna maa alshaahidina

we shall be friends with Your Friends and we shall oppose Your enemies. Please then write us down amongst those who bear witness

‌ وَ احْشُرْنَا مَعَ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَاةِ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّسُولِ الْبَشِيرِ النَّذِيرِ

wa ahshurna maa alaayimati alhudati min ali muhamadi alrasuli albashiri alnadhiri

And resurrect us along with the Leaders to Guidance from the Progeny of Prophet Muhammad - the conveyor of good tidings, the warner

آمَنَّا يَا رَبِّ بِسِرِّهِمْ وَ عَلَانِيَتِهِمْ وَ شَاهِدِهِمْ وَ غَائِبِهِمْ وَ مَشَاهِدِهِمْ وَ بِحَيِّهِمْ وَ مَيِّتِهِمْ

amanaa ya rabi bisirihim wa alaniatihim wa shahidihim wa ghayibihim wa mashahidihim wa bihayihim wa mayitihim

O' Lord! We believe in them private or public, present or absent, living or dead!

وَ رَضِينَا بِهِمْ أَئِمَّةً وَ سَادَةً وَ قَادَةً لَا نَبْتَغِي بِهِمْ بَدَلًا وَ لَا نَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ وَلَائِجَ أَبَداً

wa radina bihim aayimata wa sadata wa qadata la nabtaghi bihim badalaa wa la natakhidhu min dunihim walayija aabadaa

We are pleased with them as our Divine Leaders and Masters. We shall never seek anyone but them, and shall not take any confidants but them.

رَبَّنَا فَأَحْيِنَا مَا أَحْيَيْتَنَا عَلَى مُوَالاتِهِمْ وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِهِمْ وَ التَّسْلِيمِ لَهُمْ وَ الرَّدِّ إِلَيْهِمْ

rabana faahyina ma aahyaytana alay mualatihim wa albaraati min aadayihim wa altaslimi lahum wa alradi ailayhim

O' our Lord! Please let us live with their love, disowning their enemies, and submission to and obedience to them

وَ تَوَفَّنَا إِذَا تَوَفَّيْتَنَا عَلَى الْوَفَاءِ لَكَ وَ لَهُمْ بِالْعَهْدِ وَ الْمِيثَاقِ

wa tawafana aidha tawafaytana alay alwafai laka wa lahum bialahdi wa almithaqi

Please let us die in a state of loyalty to them in promise and covenant for You

وَ الْمُوَالاةِ لَهُمْ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ وَ التَّسْلِيمِ لَهُمْ غَيْرَ جَاحِدِينَ وَ لَا نَاكِثِينَ وَ لَا مُكَذِّبِينَ

wa almualati lahum wa altasdiqi wa altaslimi lahum ghayra jahidina wa la nakithina wa la mukadhibina

love for them, certifying and submitting to them - not those who deny God, the deserters and those who refute

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِالْحَقِّ الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهُ عِنْدَهُمْ وَ بِالَّذِي فَضَّلْتَهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ جَمِيعاً

allahuma ainiy aasaaluka bialhaqi aladhi jaaltahu indahum wa bialadhi fadaltahum alay alalamina jamiaa

O' my God! I ask You by the right that You put near them, and made them superior to all the people of the world.

أَنْ تُبَارِكَ لَنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هَذَا الَّذِي أَكْرَمْتَنَا فِيهِ بِالْوَفَاءِ لِعَهْدِكَ الَّذِي عَهِدْتَ إِلَيْنَا

aan tubarika lana fi yawmina hadha aladhi aakramtana fihi bialwafai liahdika aladhi ahidta ailayna

Please bless us on this day in which You honored us by acting upon Your Promise

وَ الْمِيثَاقِ الَّذِي وَاثَقْتَنَا بِهِ مِنْ مُوَالاةِ أَوْلِيَائِكَ وَ الْبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكَ

wa almithaqi aladhi wathaqtana bihi min mualati aawliayika wa albaraati min aadayika

and the Covenat to love Your Friends and dissociate from Your Enemies

وَ تَمُنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِنِعْمَتِكَ وَ تَجْعَلَهُ عِنْدَنَا مُسْتَقَرّاً ثَابِتاً وَ لَا تَسْلُبْنَاهُ أَبَداً وَ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ عِنْدَنَا مُسْتَوْدَعاً

wa tamuna alayna binimatika wa tajalahu indana mustaqaraa thabitaa wa la taslubnahu aabadaa wa la tajalhu indana mustawdaaa

And favor us by granting us Your Bounties. Please make it a place of sojourn for us, and never take it away and do not let it be a place of departure for us

فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ‌ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَ مُسْتَوْدَعٌ‌ فَاجْعَلْهُ مُسْتَقَرّاً ثَابِتاً

fainaka qulta famustaqaru wa mustawdau fajalhu mustaqaraa thabitaa

as you said, "here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure." And let it be firmly established

وَ ارْزُقْنَا نَصْرَ دِينِكَ مَعَ وَلِيٍّ هَادٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ قَائِماً رَشِيداً هَادِياً مَهْدِيّاً مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ إِلَى الْهُدَى

wa arzuqna nasra dinika maa walii hadi min aahli bayti nabiika qayimaa rashidaa hadiaa mahdiaa mina aldalalati ailay alhuday

O' God! Please bless us with the victory of Your Religion with the guide from the Progeny of Your Prophet who shall rise to direct us out of deviation

وَ اجْعَلْنَا تَحْتَ رَايَتِهِ وَ فِي زُمْرَتِهِ شُهَدَاءَ صَادِقِينَ مَقْتُولِينَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ وَ عَلَى نُصْرَةِ دِينِكَ

wa ajalna tahta rayatihi wa fi zumratihi shuhadaa sadiqina maqbulina fi sabilika wa alay nusrati dinika

Please put us under his flag and include us amongst the true martyrs killed in Your Path and in aiding Your Religion.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bihaqqi muhammadin nabiyyika

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad, Your Prophet,

وَعَلِيٍّ وَلِيِّكَ

wa `aliyyin waliyyika

in the name of `Ali, Your Representative (wali),

وَٱلشَّأْنِ وَٱلْقَدْرِ ٱلَّذِي خَصَصْتْهُمَا بِه دُونَ خَلقِكَ

walshsha'ni walqadri alladhi khasastahuma bihi duna khalqika

and in the name of the stature and standing that You have given exclusively to them rather than Your other creatures,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa `aliyyin

to send blessings to Muhammad and `Ali

وَأَنْ تَبْدَأَ بِهِمَا فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ عَاجِلٍ

wa an tabda'a bihima fi kulli khayrin `ajilin

and begin with both of them in any immediate item of goodness.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلْقَادَةِ

al'a'immati alqadati

the Imams, the leaders,

وَٱلدُّعَاةِ ٱلسَّادَةِ

walddu`ati alssadati

the promulgators (to You), the masters,

وَٱلنُّجُومِ ٱلزَّاهِرَةِ

walnnujumi alzzahirati

the shining stars,

وَٱلأَعْلاَمِ ٱلْبَاهِرَةِ

wal'a`lami albahirati

the splendid signs,

وَسَاسَةِ ٱلْعِبَادِ

wa sasati al`ibadi

the governors of the servants (of You),

وَأَرْكَانِ ٱلْبِلاَدِ

wa arkani albiladi

the pillars of the countries,

وَٱلنَّاقَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلَةِ

walnnaqati almursalati

the (like of the) she-camel that was sent by You,

وَٱلسَّفِينَةِ ٱلنَّاجيَةِ

walssafinati alnnajiyati

and the ark that saves (from sinking in straying off from the right path)

ٱلْجَارِيَةِ فِي ٱلْلُّجَجِ ٱلْغَامِرَةِ

aljariyati fi allujaji alghamirati

and runs peacefully in the depths of oceans.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

خُزَّانِ عِلْمِكَ

khuzzani `ilmika

the keepers of Your knowledge,

وَأَرْكَانِ تَوْحِيدِكَ

wa arkani tawhidika

the pillars of the professing of Your Oneness,

وَدَعَائِمِ دِينِكَ

wa da`a'imi dinika

the supports of Your religion,

وَمَعَادِنِ كَرَامَتِكَ

wa ma`adini karamatika

the cores of Your honoring,

وَصِفْوَتِكَ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِكَ

wa safwatika min bariyyatika

the choicest among Your creatures,

وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa khiyaratika min khalqika

the best of Your beings,

الأَتْقِيَاءِ ٱلأَنْقِيَاءِ

al'atqiya'i al'anqiya'i

the pious, the pure,

ٱلنُّجَبَاءِ ٱلأَبْرَارِ

alnnujaba'i al'abrari

the outstanding, the virtuous,

وَٱلْبَابِ ٱلْمُبْتَلَىٰ بِهِ ٱلنَّاسُ

walbabi almubtala bihi alnnasu

and the door that is decided as trial for people—

مَنْ أَتَاهُ نَجَىٰ

man atahu naja

he who comes through it shall be saved

وَمَنْ أَبَاهُ هَوَىٰ

wa man abahu hawa

but he who rejects it shall fail indeed.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

أَهْلِ ٱلذِّكْرِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَمَرْتَ بِمَسْأَلَتِهِمْ

ahli aldhdhikri alladhina amarta bimas'alatihim

the People of the Reminder whom You have ordered us to ask (when we do not know),

وَذَوِي ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ ٱلَّذينَ أَمَرْتَ بِمَوَدَّتِهِمْ

wa dhawi alqurba alladhina amarta bimawaddatihim

the near relatives (of the Holy Prophet) whom You have ordered us to love,

وَفَرَضْتَ حَقَّهُمْ

wa faradta haqqahum

whose rights You have made incumbent (upon us),

وَجَعَلْتَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ مَعَادَ مَنِ ٱقْتَصَّ آثَارَهُمْ

wa ja`alta aljannata ma`ada man iqtassa atharahum

and whom You have decided Paradise as the reward of whoever follows their patterns.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا أَمَرُوٱ بِطَاعَتِكَ

kama amaru bita`atika

as they instructed (us) to obey You,

وَنَهَوْٱ عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِكَ

wa nahaw `an ma`siyatika

warned (us) against disobeying You,

وَدَلُّوٱ عِبَادَكَ عَلَىٰ وَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ

wa dallu `ibadaka `ala wahdaniyyatika

and led Your servants to Your Oneness.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma inni as'aluka bihaqqi muhammadin

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad;

نَبِيِّكَ وَنَجِيبِكَ

nabiyyika wa najibika

Your Prophet, Your superior servant,

وَصَفْوَتِكَ وَأَمِينِكَ

wa safwatika wa aminika

Your choice, Your trusted one,

وَرَسُولِكَ إِلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ

wa rasulika ila khalqika

Your messenger to Your creatures;

وَبِحَقِّ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa bihaqqi amiri almu'minina

and (I beseech You) in the name of the Commander of the Believers (Amir al-Mu'minin),

وَيَعْسُوبِ ٱلدِّينِ

wa ya`subi alddini

the chief of the religion,

وَقَائِدِ ٱلْغُرِّ ٱلْمُحَجَّلِينَ

wa qa'idi alghurri almuhajjalina

the leader of the white-faced and marked on the foreheads,

ٱلْوَصِيِّ ٱلْوَفِيِّ

alwasiyyi alwafiyyi

the faithful, the loyal,

وَٱلصِّدِّيقِ ٱلأَكْبَرِ

walssiddiqi al'akbari

the greatest veracious,

وَٱلْفَارُوقِ بَيْنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَٱلْبَاطِلِ

walfaruqi bayna alhaqqi walbatili

the distinguisher between the right and the wrong,

وَٱلشَّاهِدِ لَكَ

walshshahidi laka

the witness for You,

وَٱلدَّالِّ عَلَيْكَ

walddalli `alayka

the guide to You,

وَٱلصَّادِعِ بِأَمْرِكَ

walssadi`i bi'amrika

the expounder of what You have commanded,

وَٱلْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِكَ

walmujahidi fi sabilika

the striver in Your way,

لَمْ تَأْخُذْهُ فِيكَ لَوْمَةُ لاَئِمٍ

lam ta'khudhhu fika lawmatu la'imin

and who never listened to any word of blame for Your sake;

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(I beseech You) to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي فِي هٰذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ

wa an taj`alani fi hadha alyawmi

to include me on this day

ٱلَّذِي عَقَدْتَ فِيهِ لِوَلِيِّكَ ٱلْعَهْدَ فِي أَعْنَاقِ خَلْقِكَ

alladhi `aqadta fihi liwaliyyika al`ahda fi a`naqi khalqika

on which You established the pledge to Your Representative in the necks of Your servants

وَأَكْمَلْتَ لَهُمُ ٱلدِّينَ

wa akmalta lahum alddina

and You thus perfected the religion for them,

مِنَ ٱلْعَارِفِينَ بِحُرْمَتِهِ

min al`arifina bihurmatihi

(to include me) with those who recognize the actual sanctity of him

وَٱلْمُقِرِّينَ بِفَضْلِهِ

walmuqirrina bifadlihi

and those who acknowledge his precedence,

مِنْ عُتَقَائِكَ وَطُلَقَائِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

min `utaqa'ika wa tulaqa'ika min alnnari

and to include me with those whom You decide to release from Hellfire.

وَلاَ تُشْمِتْ بِي حَاسِدِي ٱلنِّعَمِ

wa la tushmit bi hasidi alnni`ami

(Please) do not let those who envy the bounties (that You confer upon certain persons) rejoice at my misfortunes.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا جَعَلْتَهُ عِيدَكَ ٱلأَكْبَرَ

allahumma fakama ja`altahu `idaka al'akbara

O Allah, as You have made this day Your greatest feast day,

وَسَمَّيْتَهُ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ يَوْمَ ٱلْعَهْدِ ٱلْمَعْهُودِ

wa sammaytahu fi alssama'i yawma al`ahdi alma`hudi

You have named it “the Day of the Promised Covenant” in the heavens,

وَفِي ٱلأَرْضِ يَوْمَ ٱلْمِيثَاقِ ٱلْمَأْخُوذِ وَٱلْجَمْعِ ٱلْمَسْؤُولِ

wa fi al'ardi yawma almithaqi alma'khudhi waljam`i almas'uli

and You have named it “the Day of the Exacted Covenant and the Witnessed Crowd” in the earth,

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَقْرِرْ بِهِ عُيُونَنَا

wa aqrir bihi `uyunana

give us delight of our eyes through him,

وَٱجْمَعْ بِهِ شَمْلَنَا

wajma` bihi shamlana

reunify us through him,

وَلاَ تُضِلَّنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا

wa la tudillana ba`da idh hadaytana

do not mislead us after You have guided us to the right path,

وَٱجْعَلْنَا لأَنْعُمِكَ مِنَ ٱلشَّاكِرِينَ

waj`alna li'an`umika min alshshakirina

and make us of those who thank Your bounties.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي عَرَّفَنَا فَضْلَ هٰذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ

alhamdu lillahi alladhi `arrafana fadla hadha alyawmi

All praise be to Allah Who has made us recognize the merit of this day,

وَبَصَّرَنَا حُرْمَتَهُ

wa bassarana hurmatahu

attracted our attentions to its sanctity,

وَكَرَّمَنَا بِهِ

wa karramana bihi

honored us on it,

وَشَرَّفَنَا بِمَعْرِفَتِهِ

wa sharrafana bima`rifatihi

ennobled us through our recognition of it,

وَهَدَانَا بِنُورِهِ

wa hadana binurihi

and guided us through its light.

يَا رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ

ya rasula allahi

O Messenger of Allah!

يَا أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنينَ

ya amira almu'minina

O Commander of the Believers!

عَلَيْكُمَا وَعَلَىٰ عِتْرَتِكُمَا

`alaykuma wa `ala `itratikuma

Upon you, your household,

وَعَلَىٰ مُحِبِّيكُمَا مِنِّي أَفْضَلُ ٱلسَّلاَمِ

wa `ala muhibbikuma minni afdalu alssalami

and your followers be the most excellent peace

مَا بَقِيَ ٱللَّيْلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ

ma baqiya allaylu walnnaharu

so long as night and day endure.

وَبِكُمَا أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمَا

wa bikuma atawajjahu ila allahi rabbi wa rabbikuma

Through you both do I direct toward Allah, my Lord and Your Lord,

فِي نَجَاحِ طَلِبَتِي

fi najahi talibti

(and I beseech Him) to respond to my requests,

وَقَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِي

wa qada'i hawa'iji

settle my needs,

وَتَيْسِيرِ أُمُورِي

wa taysiri umuri

and make easy all my affairs.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma inni as'aluka bihaqqi muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَأَنْ تَلْعَنَ مَنْ جَحَدَ حَقَّ هٰذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ

wa an tal`ana man jahada haqqa hadha alyawmi

and curse whoever denies the holiness of this day

وَأَنْكَرَ حُرْمَتَهُ

wa ankara hurmatahu

and denies its sanctity;

فَصَدَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِكَ لإِطْفَاءِ نُورِكَ

fasadda `an sabilika li'itfa'i nurika

thus, he hindered from Your way intending to extinguish Your light,

فَأَبَىٰ ٱللَّهُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ

fa'aba allahu illa an yutimma nurahu

but Allah will not consent save to perfect His light.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma farrij `an ahli bayti muhammadin nabiyyika

O Allah, (please do) relieve misfortunes from the Household of Muhammad, Your Prophet

وَٱكْشِفْ عَنْهُمْ وَبِهِمْ عَنِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلْكُرُبَاتِ

wakshif `anhum wa bihim `an almu'minina alkurubati

and relieve the anguishes of them and of the believers through them.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱمْلأِ ٱلأَرْضَ بِهِمْ عَدْلاًَ

allahumma imla' al'arda bihim `adlan

O Allah, (please do) fill the earth with justice through them

كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْماً وَجُوْراً

kama muli'at zulman wa jawran

just as it has been full with injustice and unfairness,

وَ أَنْجِز لَهُمْ مَا وَعَدْتَهُمْ

wa anjiz lahum ma wa`adtahum

and (please do) fulfill Your promise to them,

إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

innaka la tukhlifu almi`ada

for You surely do not break Your promises.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُتَمَسِّكِينَ

alhamdu lillahi alladhi ja`alana min almutamassikina

Praise be to Allah Who has blessed us to be among those who cling and hold

بِوِلاَيَةِ امِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلائِمَّةِ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

biwilayati amiri almu'minina wal'a'immati `alayhim alssalamu

to the divinely commissioned leadership and authority of Amir al- Mu'minin and all the Imams, peace be upon them all.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي اكْرَمَنَا بِهٰذَا ٱلْيَوْمِ

alhamdu lillahi alladhi akramana bihadha alyawmi

All praise be to Allah Who has honored us with this day

وَجَعَلَنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُوفِينَ بِعَهْدِهِ إِلَيْنَا

wa ja`alana min almufina bi`ahdihi ilayna

and included us with those who have fulfilled their promise to Him

وَميثَاقِهِ ٱلَّذِي وَاثَقَنَا بِهِ

wa mithaqihi alladhi wathaqana bihi

and their covenant made with Him;

مِنْ وِلاَيَةِ وُلاَةِ امْرِهِ

min wilayati wulati amrihi

that is the loyalty to His representatives

وَٱلْقَوَّامِ بِقِسْطِهِ

walquwwami biqistihi

and the establishers of His justice.

وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْجَاحِدينَ

wa lam yaj`alna min aljahidina

He has not made us of the deniers

وَٱلْمُكَذِّبينَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينَ

walmukadhdhibina biyawmi alddini

and rejecters of the Judgment Day.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ كَمَالَ دِينِهِ

alhamdu lillahi alladhi ja`ala kamala dinihi

All praise be to Allah Who has made the perfection of His religion

وَتَمَامَ نِعْمَتِهِ

wa tamama ni`matihi

and the completion of His grace

بِوِلاَيَةِ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤمِنِينَ

biwilayati amiri almu'minina

in the leadership of the Commander of the Believers,

عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

`aliyyi bni abi talibin `alayhi alssalamu

`Ali the son of Abu-Talib, peace be upon him.

واخَيْتُكَ فِي ٱللَّهِ

akhaytuka fillahi

I declare my brotherhood with you for the sake of Allah,

وَصَافَيْتُكَ فِي ٱللَّهِ

wa safaytuka fillahi

I establish friendly terms with you for the sake of Allah,

وَصَافَحْتُكَ فِي ٱللَّهِ

wa safahtuka fillahi

I shake hands with you for the sake of Allah,

وَعَاهَدْتُ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ

wa `ahadtu allaha wa mala'ikatahu

I promise Allah, His angels,

وَكُتُبَهُ وَرُسُلَهُ

wa kutubahu wa rusulahu

His Books, His Messengers,

وَانْبِيَاءَهُ وَٱلائِمَّةَ ٱلْمَعْصُومِينَ

wa anbiya'ahu wala'immata alma`sumina

His Prophets, and the Infallible Imams,

عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

`alayhim alssalamu

peace be upon them,

عَلَىٰ انِّي إِنْ كُنْتُ مِنْ اهْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَٱلشَّفَاعَةِ

`ala anni in kuntu min ahli aljannati walshshafa`ati

that if I will be an inhabitant of Paradise, allowed to intercede for others,

وَاذِنَ لِي بِانْ ادْخُلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ

wa udhina li bi'an adkhula aljannata

and if I will be allowed Paradise,

لاَ ادْخُلُهَا إِلاَّ وَانْتَ مَعِي

la adkhuluha illa wa anta ma`i

I will not enter it unless you accompany me therein.

قَبِلْتُ

qabilt(u)

I agree

اسْقَطْتُ عَنْكَ جَمِيعَ حُقُوقِ ٱلاخُوَّةِ

asqattu `anka jami`a huquqi al'ukhuwwati

I thus release you from all the duties of fraternity

مَا خَلاَ ٱلشَّفَاعَةَ وَٱلدُّعَاءَ وَٱلزِّيَارَةَ

ma khala alshshafa`ata walddu`a'a walzziyarata

except intercession, supplication, and visiting the tombs of the Infallibles.
