السلام عليك يا سيد الساجدين

assalaamo a’layka yaasayyedas saajedeena

Peace be on you, O leader of Those who prostrate!

السلام عليك يا زين العابدين

assalaamo a’layka yaa zainal aabedeena

Peace be on you, O prestige of Worshipping ones!

السلام عليك يا حليف الحسرات

assalaamo a’layka yaa halifal hasaraat

Peace be on you, O participant Of unhappiness and sadness!

السلام عليك يا ذا الثفنات

assalaamo a’layka yaa zassafanaat

Peace be on you, O the Imam, Who got sores on spots which Touched during sijda!

السلام عليك يا صاحب العبرات

assalaamo a’layka yaa saahebal a’braate..

Peace be on you, O one who Wept and mourned!

السلام عليك يا أسير الكربات

assalaamo a’layka yaa aseeral korobaat..

Peace be on you, one who was Captive of hardships!

السلام عليك يا أعظم آل العباء

assalaamo a’layka yaa aadama aalil e’baae

Peace be on you, O one from The great worshippers!

السلام عليك يا ابن خامس أصحابأهل الكساء

assalaamo a’layka yabna khaamese ahlil kesaae..

Peace be on you , O the son of The fifth of the people of the Cloak (Husayn)

السلام عليك يا ابن سيد الشهداء

assalaamo a’layka yabna sayyedish shohadaae

Peace be on you, O son of the Leader of the martyrs!

السلام عليك يا عماد الأتقياء

assalaamo a’layka yaa e’maadal atqeyaae

Peace be on you , O support of Pious ones!

السلام عليك ورحمة الله وبركاته

assalaamo a’layka wa rahmatullaahe wa barakaatohu..

Peace be on you, and Allah’s Blessings and bounties on you!

لسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ العَابِدِينَ,

lsalamu alayka ya zayna alabidina,

Peace be upon you, O adornment of the worshippers.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا زَيْنَ المُتَهَجِّدِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya zayna almutahajidina,

Peace be upon you, O adornment of those who pray in the night.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ المُتَّقِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya aimama almutaqina,

Peace be upon you, O leader of the God-fearing.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا دُرَّةَ الصَّالِحِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya durata alsaalihina,

Peace be upon you, O precious pearl of the righteous.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ المُسْلِمِينَ

alsalamu alayka ya walia almuslimina

Peace be upon you, O guardian of the Muslims.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِ النَّاظِرِينَ العَارِفِينَ

alsalamu alayka ya qurata ayni alnaazirina alarifina

Peace be upon you, O delight of the eyes of the beholding gnostics.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلَفَ السَّابِقِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya khalafa alsaabiqina,

Peace be upon you, O successor of the predecessors.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ الوَصِيِّينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya wasia alwasiiyna,

Peace be upon you, O successor of the successors.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَازِنَ وَصَايَا المُرْسَلِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya khazina wasaya almursalina,

Peace be upon you, O treasurer of the bequests of the messengers.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ضَوْءَ المُسْتَوْحِشِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya dawa almustawhishina,

Peace be upon you, O light of those who are forlorn.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ المُجْتَهِدِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya nura almujtahidina,

Peace be upon you, O light of the diligent strivers.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سِرَاجَ المُرْتَاضِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya siraja almurtadina,

Peace be upon you, O lamp of the ascetics.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ذُخْرَ المُتَعَبِّدِينَ السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ العَالَمِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya dhukhra almutaabidina alsalamu alayka ya misbaha alalamina,

Peace be upon you, O treasure of the devoted worshippers. Peace be upon you, O lamp of all the worlds.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ العِلْمِ,

alsalamu alayka ya safinata alilmi,

Peace be upon you, O ark of knowledge.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَكِينَةَ الحِلْمِ,

alsalamu alayka ya sakinata alhilmi,

Peace be upon you, O tranquility of forbearance.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِيزَانَ القَصَاصِ,

alsalamu alayka ya mizana alqasasi,

Peace be upon you, O balance of retribution.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَفِينَةَ الخَلاصِ,

alsalamu alayka ya safinata alkhalasi,

Peace be upon you, O ark of salvation.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَحْرَ النَّدَى,

alsalamu alayka ya bahra alnaday,

Peace be upon you, O ocean of generosity.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ بَدْرَ الدُّجَى,

alsalamu alayka badra aldujay,

Peace be upon you, O full moon in the darkness.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الأَوَّاهُ الحَلِيمُ,

alsalamu alayka aayuha alaawaahu alhalimu,

Peace be upon you, O the sighing, the forbearing.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُهَا الصَّابِرُ الحَكِيمُ,

alsalamu alayka aayuha alsaabiru alhakimu,

Peace be upon you, O the patient, the wise.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَئِيسَ البَكَّائِينِ,

alsalamu alayka ya rayiysa albakaayiyni,

Peace be upon you, O chief of those who weep.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ المُؤْمِنِينَ,

alsalamu alayka ya misbaha almuminina,

Peace be upon you, O lamp of the believers.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمِّدٍ,

alsalamu alayka ya mawlaya ya aaba muhamidi,

Peace be upon you, O my master, O Abu Muhammad.

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ حُجَّةُ اللَّهِ,

aashhadu aanaka hujatu allahi,

I bear witness that you are the proof of Allah.

وَابْنُ حُجَّتِهِ,

wabnu hujatihi,

And the son of His proof.

وَأَبُو حُجَجِهِ وَابْنُ أَمِينِهِ,

waabu hujajihi wabnu aaminihi,

And the father of His proofs, and the son of His trustee.

وَأَبُو أُمَنَائِهِ,

waabu aumanayihi,

And the father of His trustees.

وَأَنَّكَ نَاصَحْتَ فِي عِبَادَةِ رَبِّكَ,

waanaka nasahta fi ibadati rabika,

And that you were sincere in the worship of your Lord.

وَسَارَعْتَ فِي مَرْضَاتِهِ,

wasarata fi mardatihi,

And you hastened toward His pleasure.

وَخَيَّبْتَ أَعْدَاءَهُ,

wakhayabta aadaahu,

And you disappointed His enemies.

وَسَرَرْتَ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ,

wasararta aawliaahu,

And you delighted His friends.

أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ عَبَدْتَ اللَّهَ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِهِ,

aashhadu aanaka qad abadta allaha haqa ibadatihi,

I bear witness that you worshipped Allah with the worship He truly deserves.

وَاتَّقَيْتَهُ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ,

wataqaytahu haqa tuqatihi,

And you feared Him with the fear He truly deserves.

وَأَطَعْتَهُ حَقَّ طَاعَتِهِ حَتَّى أَتَاكَ اليَقِينُ,

waatatahu haqa taatihi hatay aataka alyaqinu,

And you obeyed Him with the obedience He truly deserves, until certainty came to you.

فَعَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلايَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ التَّحِيَّةِ,

faalayka ya mawlaya ya bna rasuli allahi aafdalu altahiati,

Upon you, O my master, O son of the Messenger of Allah, be the finest of greetings.

وَالسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.

walsalamu alayka warahmatu allahi wabarakatuhu.

And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا اِمَامَ الْہُدیٰ

aalsalaamu alayka ya aimama aludy

Peace be upon you, O leader of guidance.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا بَدَرَالدُّجیٰ

aalsalaamu alayka ya badaraldujy

Peace be upon you, O full moon of the darkness.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا کَہْفَ التُّقیٰ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا قَائِدَ اَہْلِ التَّقْویٰ

aalsalaamu alayka ya kafa altuqy aalsalaamu alayka ya qayida aali altaqwy

Peace be upon you, O refuge of the God-fearing. Peace be upon you, O guide of the people of piety.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا بَاقِرَ عَلْمِ النَّبِیِّیْنَ

aalsalaamu alayka ya baqira almi alnabiyiyna

Peace be upon you, O one who reveals the knowledge of the prophets.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَیْکَ یَا زَیْنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِیْنَ

aalsalaamu alayka ya zayna alsamwti walaardiyna

Peace be upon you, O adornment of the heavens and the earths.

اَللّٰہُمَّ کَمَا جَعَلْتَہٗ عَلَماً لِعِبَادِکَ وَ مُسْتَوْدَعاً لِحِلْمِکَ وَ مُتَرْجِماً لِوَحْیِکَ

aalluma kama jaalta alamaa liibadika wa mustawdaaa lihilmika wa mutarjimaa liwahyika

O Allah, just as You made him a banner for Your servants, and a repository of Your forbearance, and an interpreter of Your revelation,

فَصَلِّ عَلَیْہِ اَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلیٰ اَحَدٍ مِّنْ ذُرِّیَّۃِ اَنْبِیَائِکَ وَ اَصْفِیَائِکَ وَ رُسُلِکَ وَ اُمَنَائِکَ یَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

fasali alayi aafdala ma salayta aly aahadi min dhuriyai aanbiyayika wa aasfiyayika wa rusulika wa aumanayika ya raba alalamiyna

then send blessings upon him with the most excellent blessings that You have ever sent upon any of the progeny of Your prophets and Your chosen ones and Your messengers and Your trustees, O Lord of the worlds.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyi ibni alhusayni

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon `Ali the son of al-Husayn

سَيِّدِ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ

sayyidi al`abidina

the chief of worshippers

ٱلَّذِي ٱسْتَخْلَصْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ

alladhi istakhlastahu linafsika

whom You have purely dedicated to Yourself

وَجَعَلْتَ مِنْهُ ائِمَّةَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ

wa ja`alta minhu a'immata alhuda

and brought forth from him the Leaders of True Guidance

ٱلَّذِينَ يَهْدُونَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَبِهِ يَعْدِلُونَ

alladhina yahduna bilhaqqi wa bihi ya`diluna

who guide to the truth and judge with it.

ٱخْتَرْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ

ikhtartahu linafsika

You have chosen him for Yourself,

وَطَهَّرْتَهُ مِنَ ٱلرِّجْسِ

wa tahhartahu min alrrijsi

purified him against filth,

وَٱصْطَفَيْتَهُ وَجَعَلْتَهُ هَادِياً مَهْدِيّاً

wastafaytahu wa ja`altahu hadiyan mahdiyyan

selected him, and made him guide and well-guided.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ

allahumma salli `alayhi

O Allah, send blessings upon him

افْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ احَدٍ

afdala ma sallayta `ala ahadin

with the most excellent blessings that You have ever sent upon any

مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ انْبِيَاءِكَ

min dhurriyyati anbiya'ika

of Your Prophets' offspring

حَتَّىٰ تَبْلُغَ بِهِ مَا تَقَرُّ بِهِ عَيْنُهُ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

hatta tablugha bihi ma taqarru bihi `aynuhu fi alddunya wal-akhirati

so that these blessings raise him to what delights his eye in this world and the Hereafter.

إِنَّكَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

innaka `azizun hakimun

You are verily Almighty and Wise.
