Aamal of 19th Night of Ramadan

اللّهُمّ وَفّرْ فِيهِ حَظّي مِنْ بَرَكَاتِهِ،

allahumma wa ffr fihi hazzy min barakatihi

O Allah: on this day, (please) save me a share of its blessings;

وَسَهّلْ سَبِيلِي إِلَى خَيْرَاتِهِ،

wa sahhl sabili ila khayratihi

And make easy my way to the obtainment of its goodness;

وَلا تَحْرِمْنِي قَبُولَ حَسَنَاتِهِ،

wa la tahrimny qabula hasanatihi

And do not deprive me of Your approval of the good deeds (that I do on this day);

يَا هَادِياً إِلَى الحَقّ المُبِينِ.

ya hadiyan ila alhaqq almubini

O He Who guides to the evident truth.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَمُوتُ

Glory be to Him who shall not perish.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يَزُولُ مُلْكُهُ

Glory be to Him whose Dominion does not end.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا تَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ خَافِيَةٌ

Glory be to Him from whom the hiding are not hidden!

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا تَسْقُطُ وَرَقَةٌ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُها [بِعِلْمِهِ‌]

Glory be to Him without whose knowledge even a leaf does not fall!

وَ لا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُماتِ الْأَرْضِ وَ لا رَطْبٍ

Not a grain grows in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry

وَ لا يابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتابٍ مُبِينٍ‌ [يَعْلَمُهُ وَ قَدَّرَهُ‌] إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِ وَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ فَسُبْحَانَهُ

but it is noted in a Clear Book and only with His Knowledge and Power.

سُبْحَانَهُ سُبْحَانَهُ سُبْحَانَهُ سُبْحَانَهُ سُبْحَانَهُ سُبْحَانَهُ

Glory be to Him! Glory be to Him! Glory be to Him! Glory be to Him! Glory be to Him Glory be to Him!

مَا أَعْظَمَ شَأْنَهُ وَ أَجَلَّ سُلْطَانَهُ

How Great is His Loftiness, and how Majestic is His Authority!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ

O‟ my God! Please bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as)

[وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عُتَقَائِكَ وَ سُعَدَاءِ خَلْقِكَ بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ‌].

and let us be amongst the freed ones and of Your Prosperous creatures by Your Forgiveness as You are All-Forgiving, Merciful!”

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ يَا مَنْ‌ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُ‌ يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ

O Allah, O He whose word is the truth on the day the trumpet is blown,

عالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ

Knower of the unseen and the witnessed,

وَ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْعَلِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ

and He is Allah, the All-Knowing, the Well-Acquainted.

فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَ جَاعِلُ اللَّيْلِ‌ سَكَناً

The splitter of dawn, and He who made the night a rest

وَ الشَّمْسَ وَ الْقَمَرَ حُسْباناً

and the sun and the moon for reckoning.

ذلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ‌

That is the determination of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

يَا مَنْ حَرَّمَ‌ الْفَواحِشَ ما ظَهَرَ مِنْها

O He who has forbidden indecencies, what is apparent of them

وَ ما بَطَنَ وَ الْإِثْمَ وَ الْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِ‌

and what is concealed, and sin and oppression without right.

يَا مَنْ‌ خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ‌ ...

O He who created the heavens and the earth ...

يَا مَنْ‌ لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَ الْأَمْرُ

O He to whom belongs the creation and the command.

تَبارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعالَمِينَ‌

Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

يَا مَنْ تَجَلَّى لِلْجَبَلِ فَ جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا

O He who manifested to the mountain and made it level.

أَسْأَلُكَ اللَّهُمَّ بِمَا نَاجَيْتُكَ بِهِ مِنْ مِدْحَتِكَ

I ask You, O Allah, by praising You and by calling upon You with the praises

وَ دَعَوْتُكَ بِهِ أَنْ تَرْزُقَنِي الْقَبُولَ

that I have narrated to You, to grant me acceptance

وَ الرَّحْمَةَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَ فِيمَا قَبْلَهُ وَ فِيمَا بَعْدَهُ

and mercy on this day, before it, and after it.

وَ تَجْعَلَ عَمَلِي صَالِحاً مَقْبُولًا رَاضِياً زَاكِياً

And make my deeds righteous, accepted, pleasing, pure,

تُبَيِّضُ بِهِ وَجْهِي وَ تُكْرِمُ بِهِ مَنْزِلَتِي

to whiten my face, to honor my station,

وَ تُحْسِنُ بِهِ مَثْوَايَ وَ تُتِمُّ بِهِ نُورِي [فَوْزِي‌]

to beautify my abode, to complete my light (or my victory),

وَ تُلَقِّنِّي بِهِ حُجَّتِي وَ تُعْطِينِي بِهِ مَسْأَلَتِي

to teach me my argument, to grant me my request,

وَ تَشْفِي بِهِ نَفْسِي وَ تَنْصُرُنِي عَلَى عَدُوِّي

to heal my soul, to support me against my enemy,

وَ تَجْمَعُ بِهِ شَمْلِي وَ تَلُمُّ بِهِ شَعْثِي

to unite my affair, to mend my disorder,

وَ تَرُدُّ بِهِ إِلْفِي وَ تُصْلِحُ بِهِ أَمْرِي

to return my lost, to rectify my matter,

وَ تَرْفَعُ بِهِ شَهَادَتِي وَ تُزَكِّي بِهِ عَمَلِي

to elevate my testimony, to purify my action,

وَ تُلْهِمُنِي بِهِ رُشْدِي

to inspire me with guidance,

وَ تَعْصِمُنِي بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

to protect me from all evils in this world and the hereafter,

وَ تَرْزُقُنِي بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَ تَفُكُّ بِهِ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النَّارِ

to grant me Paradise, and to free my neck from the Fire.

إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Indeed, You are capable of all things,

وَ هُوَ عَلَيْكَ نَزْرٌ وَ عِنْدَكَ حَقِيرٌ يَسِيرٌ

and it is trivial and insignificant in Your presence.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful,

وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ.

and may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّكَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Wahdaka lā sharīka laka wa anna Muḥammadan ‘abduka wa rasūluk

O Allah, I ask You because You are Allah, there is no god but You.

وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُكَ وَ رَسُولُكَ

Wa annaka wāḥidun aḥadun ṣamadun lam yalid wa lam yūlad

You are One, without a partner, and Muhammad is Your servant and messenger.

وَ أَنَّكَ وَاحِدٌ أَحَدٌ صَمَدٌ لَمْ تَلِدْ وَ لَمْ تُولَدْ

Wa lam yakun laka kufuwan aḥad

And You are One, Absolute, Eternal; You neither beget nor are begotten.

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَكَ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ

Wa annaka wāḥidun jawādun mājidun raḥmānun raḥīmun māliku al-dunyā wa al-ākhirah

And there is none equal to You.

وَ أَنَّكَ وَاحِدٌ جَوَادٌ مَاجِدٌ رَحْمَانُ رَحِيمٌ مَالِكُ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

Taqḍī mā tashā’u wa taḥkumu mā turīd

And You are One, Generous, Glorious, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, the Master of this world and the Hereafter.

تَقْضِي مَا تَشَاءُ وَ تَحْكُمُ مَا تُرِيدُ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

You decree what You will and judge as You wish.

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa an tuwaffiqanī li laylati al-qadri fatu‘tiqanī fīhā mina al-nār

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَ أَنْ تُوَفِّقَنِي لِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَتُعْتِقَنِي فِيهَا مِنَ النَّارِ

Wa tastajība lī fīhā ṣāliḥa al-du‘ā’

And grant me success in the Night of Decree and free me from the Fire in it.

وَ تَسْتَجِيبَ لِي فِيهَا صَالِحَ الدُّعَاءِ

Wa tarzuqanī al-ḥajja ilā baytika al-ḥarām

And answer my righteous supplication in it.

وَ تَرْزُقَنِي الْحَجَّ إِلَى بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

Fī ‘āmī hādhā wa fī kulli ‘āmin abadan mā abqaytanī

And grant me the pilgrimage to Your Sacred House.

فِي عَامِي هَذَا وَ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ أَبَداً مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

Wa ziyārata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa ālih

This year and every year as long as You keep me alive.

وَ زِيَارَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

Wa taj‘ala dhālika maqbūlan mabrūran

And the visitation of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.

وَ تَجْعَلَ ذَلِكَ مَقْبُولًا مَبْرُوراً

Fī sa‘ati rizqin minka wa dawāmi ‘āfiyatika

And make it accepted and virtuous.

فِي سَعَةِ رِزْقٍ مِنْكَ وَ دَوَامِ عَافِيَتِكَ

Wa munqalabin karīmin innaka ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr

With abundant provision from You and lasting well-being.

وَ مُنْقَلَبٍ كَرِيمٍ‌ إِنَّكَ‌ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Allāhumma waj‘alnī mina al-maḥfūẓīna fī anfusihim wa adyānihim wa ahālihīm wa awlādihim wa amwālihim

And an honorable return, for indeed, You have power over all things.

اللَّهُمَّ وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمَحْفُوظِينَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ أَدْيَانِهِمْ وَ أَهَالِيهِمْ وَ أَوْلَادِهِمْ وَ أَمْوَالِهِمْ

Wa taj‘ala mutaqabbalan fī yusrin minka wa ‘āfiyah

O Allah, make me among those who are protected in themselves, their faith, their families, their children, and their wealth.

وَ تَجْعَلَ مُتَقَبَّلًا فِي يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَ عَافِيَةٍ

Wa fī ṣiḥḥatin min jismī wa salāmatin min badanī

And make my deeds accepted with ease and well-being from You.

وَ فِي صِحَّةٍ مِنْ جِسْمِي وَ سَلَامَةٍ مِنْ بَدَنِي

Wa ikhlāṣin min qalbī wa sa‘atin min dhāti yadī

And in good health of my body and safety of my being.

وَ إِخْلَاصٍ مِنْ قَلْبِي وَ سَعَةٍ مِنْ ذَاتِ يَدِي

Wa quwwatin ‘alā jamī‘i amrī

And sincerity in my heart and abundance in my provision.

وَ قُوَّةٍ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَمْرِي

Allāhumma innī as’aluka an taqḍiya ‘annī daynī

And strength in all my affairs.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَ عَنِّي دَيْنِي

Wa tu’addiya ‘annī amānatī

O Allah, I ask You to settle my debts.

وَ تُؤَدِّيَ عَنِّي أَمَانَتِي

Wa an takhtima lī ‘amalī bimā yurḍīka ‘annī yā Rabb al-‘ālamīn

And fulfill my trusts on my behalf.

وَ أَنْ تَخْتِمَ لِي عَمَلِي بِمَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنِّي يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Allāhumma innī minka aṭlub wa iyyāka as’al wa ‘alayka atawakkal

And to conclude my deeds with what pleases You, O Lord of the worlds.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي مِنْكَ أَطْلُبُ وَ إِيَّاكَ أَسْأَلُ وَ عَلَيْكَ أَتَوَكَّلُ

Fa’anjīḥ ṭalibatī wa a‘ṭinī mas’alatī

O Allah, from You I seek, and from You I ask, and upon You I rely.

فَأَنْجِحْ طَلِبَتِي وَ أَعْطِنِي مَسْأَلَتِي

Wa lā tukhayyib rajā’ī wa lā taruddani khā’iban wa lā maqbūḥan

So grant success to my request and fulfill my need.

وَ لَا تُخَيِّبْ رَجَائِي وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِي خَائِباً وَ لَا مَقْبُوحاً

Bi raḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn

And do not disappoint my hope, nor return me empty-handed or rejected.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Allāhumma innī as’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa as’aluka raḥmataka wa riḍwānaka wa ‘afwaka wa ‘āfiyataka wa maghfirataka

O Allah, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ رَحْمَتَكَ وَ رِضْوَانَكَ وَ عَفْوَكَ وَ عَافِيَتَكَ وَ مَغْفِرَتَكَ

Wa as’aluka an taghfira lī dhanbī wa taḥuṭṭa ‘annī wizrī

And I ask You for Your mercy, pleasure, pardon, well-being, and forgiveness.

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي وَ تَحُطَّ عَنِّي وِزْرِي

Wa ta‘fū ‘an sayyi’atī

And I ask You to forgive my sins and remove my burdens.

وَ تَعْفُوَ عَنْ سَيِّئَتِي

Wa tu‘īnani ‘alā ghaḍḍi baṣarī wa ḥifẓi farjī

And to pardon my misdeeds.

وَ تُعِينَنِي عَلَى غَضِّ بَصَرِي وَ حِفْظِ فَرْجِي

Wa ‘alā al-kaffi min maḥārimika wa al-‘amali bi ṭā‘atika

And aid me in lowering my gaze and protecting my chastity.

وَ عَلَى الْكَفِّ مِنْ مَحَارِمِكَ وَ الْعَمَلِ بِطَاعَتِكَ

Wa al-tarki limā yaskhuṭuk

And in refraining from what You have forbidden and acting in Your obedience.

وَ التَّرْكِ لِمَا يَسْخَطُكَ

Wa as’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

And in avoiding what displeases You.

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa an taj‘ala wafātī qatlan fī sabīlika ma‘a awliyā’ika

And I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ وَفَاتِي قَتْلًا فِي سَبِيلِكَ مَعَ أَوْلِيَائِكَ

Taḥta rāyat al-ḥaqqi min ahli bayti nabiyyika Muḥammadin bni ‘Abdillāh

And to grant me martyrdom in Your path alongside Your friends.

تَحْتَ رَايَةِ الْحَقِّ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

Muqbilan fī dhālika ‘alā ‘aduwwika ghayra mudbir

Under the banner of truth from the household of Your Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah.

مُقْبِلًا فِي ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ

Wa taj‘alani mimman taqtulu bihi a‘dā’aka wa a‘dā’a āli rasūlika

Facing Your enemy in battle, never turning away.

وَ تَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ تَقْتُلُ بِهِ أَعْدَاءَكَ وَ أَعْدَاءَ آلِ رَسُولِكَ

Allāhumma innī as’aluka an tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

And make me among those through whom You destroy Your enemies and the enemies of the family of Your Messenger.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa an taj‘ala lī ma‘a al-rasūli sabīlan wa wasīlatan ilā ṭā‘atika wa marḍātika

O Allah, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِي مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا وَ وَسِيلَةً إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ وَ مَرْضَاتِكَ

Ḥasbī Allāhu wa ni‘ma al-wakīl wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāhi al-‘aliyyi al-‘aẓīm

And grant me a path and means to Your obedience and pleasure with the Messenger.

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ‌ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ‌ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs; there is no power or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.

- لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ فِي مُلْكِهِ وَ لَا مُنَازِعَ لَهُ فِي قُدْرَتِهِ

“There is no God but God. There are no partners for Him in His Kingdom. There are none to challenge His Power.

أَحْصَى كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَدَداً وَ خَلَقَهُ وَ جَعَلَ لَهُ أَمَداً [حَدّاً] فَكُلُّ مَا يُرَى وَ مَا لَا يُرَى‌ هالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ

He counts all things in number, creates them and sets a pre-defined period for them. And all the seen and the unseen will be destroyed except His Face!

لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ‌

To Him belongs the Decree and to Him is the return!

وَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي قَهَرَ كُلَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ بِجَبَرُوتِهِ وَ اسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهِ بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَ مَلَكَهُ بِعِزَّتِهِ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً.

Glory be to Him which has overcome everything by His Omnipotence, and has mastered them by His Power, and rules them by His Might!

سُبْحَانَ خَالِقِي وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئاً الَّذِي كَفَلَنِي بِرَحْمَتِهِ وَ غَذَّانِي بِنِعْمَتِهِ وَ فَسَحَ لِي فِي عَطِيَّتِهِ وَ مَنَّ عَلَيَّ بِهِدَايَتِهِ بِمَا أَلْهَمَنِي مِنْ وَحْدَانِيَّتِهِ وَ التَّصْدِيقِ بِأَنْبِيَائِهِ وَ حَامِلِي رِسَالَتِهِ وَ بِكُتُبِهِ الْمُنْزَلَةِ عَلَى بَرِيَّتِهِ الْمُوجِبَةِ لِحُجَّتِهِ

Glory be to my Creator while I was not nothing, supported me with His Mercy, fed me with His Blessings, extended His Bestowals on me, and favored me with His Guidance by inspiring me regarding His Oneness, acknowledging His Prophets (as) who carried His Message, and His Book revealed to the people as Proof to them.

الَّذِي لَمْ يَخْذُلْنِي بِجُحُودٍ وَ لَمْ يُسَلِّمْنِي إِلَى عَنُودٍ وَ جَعَلَ مِنْ أَكَارِمِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَرُومَتِي وَ مِنْ أَفَاضِلِهِمْ نَبْعَتِي وَ لِخَاتَمِهِمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ عَوْنَتِي

He is the God who did not question me for disbelief, and did not leave me to the enemies. He let me be of the descendants of the noblest of the Prophets (as) and helped me with the Seal of the Prophets (as).

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُذَلِّلْ مِنِّي مَا أَعْزَزْتَ وَ لَا تَضَعْنِي بَعْدَ أَنْ رَفَعْتَ وَ لَا تَخْذُلْنِي بَعْدَ أَنْ نَصَرْتَ وَ اطْوِ فِي مَطَاوِي

O‟ my God! Please do not debase me after You honor me, do not lower my rank after You raise it, and do not leave me helpless after You give me victory.

هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ ذُنُوبِي مَغْفُورَةً وَ أَدْعِيَتِي مَسْمُوعَةً وَ قُرُبَاتِي مَقْبُولَةً فَ إِنَّكَ عَلى‌ كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ

Please during this night forgive my sins, hear my prayers, and accept my deeds as indeed You have Power over all things. Please bestow blessings on the Prophet Muhammad and his Progeny(as) and may His peace be on them plentifully.”
