Aamal of 23rd of Ramadan

يَا رَبَّ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَجَاعِلَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

ya rabba laylatil qadri wa ja'ilaha khayran min alfi shahr

O Lord of the Night of Qadr, who made it better than a thousand months,

وَرَبَّ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْجِبَالِ وَالْبِحَارِ وَالظُّلَمِ وَالْأَنْوَارِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ

wa rabbal layli wan nahari wal jibali wal bihari waz zulami wal anwari wal ardi was sama'

Lord of the night and the day, the mountains and the seas, the darkness and the light, the earth and the sky,

يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ

ya bari'u ya musawwiru

O Originator, O Designer,

يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ

ya hannanu ya mannanu

O Affectionate, O Gracious,

يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا قَيُّومُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا بَدِيعُ

ya Allahu ya Rahmanu ya Allahu ya Qayyumu ya Allahu ya Badi'u

O Allah, O Beneficent, O Allah, O Everlasting, O Allah, O Originator,

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ لَكَ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ وَالْأَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْآلَاءُ

ya Allahu ya Allahu ya Allahu lakal asma'ul husna wal amthalul 'ulya wal kibriya'u wal ala'

O Allah, O Allah, O Allah — to You belong the Beautiful Names, the highest examples, greatness and bounties.

أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

as'aluka an tusalliya 'ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad

I ask You to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِي فِي هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِي السُّعَدَاءِ

wa an taj'ala ismi fi hadhihil laylati fis su'ada'

and to place my name in this night among the fortunate,

وَرُوحِي مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ

wa ruhi ma'ash shuhada'

and my soul among the martyrs,

وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ

wa ihsani fi 'illiyyin

and my good deeds in the book of the virtuous (Illiyyeen),

وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً

wa isa'ati maghfurah

and my evil deeds forgiven,

وَأَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِينًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi

and to grant me a certainty that fills my heart with joy,

وَإِيمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي

wa imanan yudh-hibush shakka 'anni

and a faith that removes doubt from me,

وَتُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

wa turdiyani bima qasamta li

and to make me content with what You have apportioned for me.

وَآتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ

wa atina fid dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban naril hariq

Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the burning Fire.

وَارْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ وَالْإِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْبَةَ

warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka war raghbata ilayka wal inabata wat tawbah

Grant me in it Your remembrance, gratitude to You, desire for You, turning to You, and repentance,

وَالتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ

wat tawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu Muhammadan wa ala Muhammadin 'alayhimus salam

and success in what You have granted Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, peace be upon them.

اَللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي فِيهِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ

Allahumma ighsilni fihi minadh dhunub

O Allah, on this day, wash away my sins,

وَطَهِّرْنِي فِيهِ مِنَ الْعُيُوبِ

wa tahhirni fihi minal 'uyub

purify me from all flaws,

وَامْتَحِنْ قَلْبِي فِيهِ بِتَقْوَى الْقُلُوبِ

wamtahin qalbi fihi bitaqwal qulub

examine my heart with the piety of the hearts,

يَا مُقِيلَ عَثَرَاتِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ

ya muqila 'atharatil mudhnibin

O One who overlooks the shortcomings of the sinners.
