Imam al-Sadiq (`a) is reported to have said in this regard: You may put your hand on the ailed organ and say:
1بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ
In the Name of Allah.

You may then rub the ailed organ with your hand and repeat the following evil-repelling prayer (`udhah) seven times:
2أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ ٱللَّهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s almightiness,

وَأَعُوذُ بِقُدْرَةِ ٱللَّهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s omnipotence,
- 4
وَأَعُوذُ بِجَلاَلِ ٱللَّهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s majesty,
- 5
وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَةِ ٱللَّهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s greatness,
- 6
وَأَعُوذُ بِجَمْعِ ٱللَّهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s wholeness,
- 7
وَأَعُوذُ بِرَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
I pray for the protection of Allah’s Messenger, may Allah’s blessings be upon him and hisHousehold,
- 8
وَأَعُوذُ بِأَسْمَاءِ ٱللَّهِ
and I pray for the protection of Allah’s Names
- 9
مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَحْذَرُ
against the evil of what I concern
- 10
وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي
and the evil of what I fear for myself.
