Dua after Azan

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ‏ اَسْاَلُكَ بِاِقْبَالِ نَهَارِكَ وَ اِدْبَارِ لَيْلِكَ وَ حُضُوْرِ صَلَوَاتِكَ وَ اَصْوَاتِ دُعَآئِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَنْ تَتُوْبَ عَلَيَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ.

allaahumma innee as-aloka be-iqbaale nahaareka wa idbaare layleka wa hozoore salawaateka wa aswaate do-a’aa-eka an tosalleya a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin wa an tatooba a’layya innaka antat tawwaabur raheem.

O Allah! I ask You on behalf of Your morning and Your night, and the voice of Your callers that You send Blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and that You forgive me as You are the Forgiver, the Merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اقَدِّمُ إِلَيْكَ مُحَمَّداً

allahumma inni uqaddimu ilayka muhammadan

O Allah, I submit Muhammad,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

may Allah bless him and his Household,

بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَتِي

bayna yaday hajati

to You before mentioning my needs,

وَاتَوَجَّهُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ

wa atawajjahu bihi ilayka

and I turn to You in his name;

فَٱجْعَلْنِي بِهِ وَجْيهاً عِنْدَكَ

faj`alni bihi wajihan `indaka

so, (please) make me of high regard with You

فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

fi alddunya wal-akhirati

in this world and the Hereafter,

وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa min almuqarrabina

and of those drawn near to You,

وَٱجْعَلْ صَلاَتِي بِهِ مَقْبُولَةً

waj`al salati bihi maqbulatan

and (please) decide, in his name, my prayer to be admitted,

وَذَنْبِي بِهِ مَغْفُوراً

wa dhanbi bihi maghfuran

my sin to be forgiven,

وَدُعَائِي بِهِ مُسْتَجَاباً

wa du`a'i bihi mustajaban

and my supplication to be responded.

إِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

innaka anta alghafuru alrrahimu

You are verily the All-forgiving, the All-merciful.

.سجدت لك خاضِعا خاشِعا ذَليلا

Sajadto laka Khazein Khashia Zaleel

I prostrate to you in humility & abjectness

اللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ قَلْبِي بَارّاً

allahumma ij`al qalbi barran

O Allah, (please) make my heart dutiful,

وَعَيْشِي قَارّاً

wa `ayshi qarran

my livelihood delightful,

وَرِزْقِي دَارّاً

wa rizqi darran

my sustenance profuse,

وَٱجْعَلْ لِي عِنْدَ قَبْرِ رَسُولِكَ

waj`al li `inda qabri rasulika

and make for me at the tomb of Your Messenger,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

may Allah bless him and his Household,

مُسْتَقَرّاً وَقَرَاراً

mustaqarran wa qararan

an abode and a dwelling.

اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ تَوَجَّهْتُ

allahumma ilayka tawajjahtu

O Allah, to You have I turned my face,

وَمَرْضَاتَكَ طَلَبْتُ

wa mardataka talabtu

Your pleasure have I sought,

وَثَوَابَكَ ٱبْتَغَيْتُ

wa thawabaka ibtaghaytu

for Your reward have I desired,

وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ

wa bika amantu

in You do I believe,

وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ

wa `alayka tawakkaltu

and on You do I rely.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱفْتَحْ مَسَامِعَ قَلْبِي لِذِكْرِكَ

waftah masami`a qalbi lidhikrika

open the ears of my hearts to remembering You,

وَثَبِّتْنِي عَلَىٰ دِينِكَ وَدِينِ نَبِيِّكَ

wa thabbitni `ala dinika wa dini nabiyyika

make me stand firmly on the religion of You and Your Prophet,

وَلاَ تُزِغْ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنِي

wa la tuzigh qalbi ba`da idh hadaytani

make not my hearts to deviate after You have guided me aright,

وَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً

wa hab li min ladunka rahmatan

and grant me from You mercy.

إِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

innaka anta alwahhabu

Surely, You are the most liberal Giver.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي تَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma inni atawajjahu ilayka bimuhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, I turn my face towards You in the name of Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household,

وَاقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَلَوَاتِي

wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday salawati

present them before You before I begin my prayers,

وَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِمْ إِلَيْكَ

wa ataqarrabu bihim ilayka

and seek nearness to You in their names.

فَٱجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيهاً

faj`alni bihim wajihan

So, in their names, (please) make me of high regard with You

فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

fi alddunya wal-akhirati

in this world and the Hereafter

وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa min almuqarrabina

and of those drawn near to You.

مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ

mananta `alayya bima`rifatihim

You have endued me with the great favor of making me know them;

فَٱخْتِم لِي بِطَاعَتِهِمْ

fakhtim li bita`atihim

so, (please) seal my life with obedience to them,

وَمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ وَوِلاَيَتِهِمْ

wa ma`rifatihim wa wilayatihim

recognition of them, and loyalty to them,

فَإِنَّهَا ٱلسَّعَادَةُ

fa'innaha alssa`adatu

because this is the true happiness.

وَٱخْتِمْ لِي بِهَا

wakhtim li biha

Therefore, (please) seal my life with these things,

فَإِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

fa'innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

for You have power over all things.

اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّآمَّةِ وَ الصَّلَاةِ الْقَآئِمَةِ بَلِّغْ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ الدَّرَجَةَ وَ الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَ الْفَضْلَ وَ الْفَضِيلَةَ

allaahumma rabba haazehid da’watit taam-mate was salaatil qaaa-emate balligh mohammadan sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehid darajata wal waseelata wal fazla wal fazeelata

O Allah! Lord of this perfect supplication and established prayer, assign to Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his progeny, the rank, right of mediation, excellence, and advantage.

بِاللهِ اَسْتَفْتِحُ وَ بِاللهِ اَسْتَنْجِحُ وَ بِـمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اَتَوَجَّهُ.

bil-laahe astafteho wa bil-laahe astanjeho wa be-mohammadin rasoolil laahe wa aale mohammadin atawajjaho.

With Allah do I commence, from Allah do I seek success, and in the name of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his progeny, do I turn my face (towards Allah).

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ عِنْدَكَ وَجِيْهًا فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ.‏

allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin waj a’lnee behim i’ndaka wajeehan fid dunyaa wal aakherate wa menal moqarrabeen.

O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, and, in their names, make me worthy of regard in this world and in the Hereafter, and of those drawn near to You.0

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma ij`alni ma`a muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) make me with Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household

فِي كُلِّ عَافِيَةٍ وَبَلاَءٍ

fi kulli `afiyatin wa bala'in

in every item of wellbeing and tribulation

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

waj`alni ma`a muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

and make me with Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household

فِي كُلِّ مَثْوىًٰ وَمُنْقَلَبٍ

fi kulli mathwan wa munqalabin

in every place of returning and place of rest.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَاهُمْ

allahumma ij`al mahyaya mahyahum

O Allah, (please) make me live their lives

وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَهُمْ

wa mamati mamatahum

and die their death,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي ٱلْمَوَاطِنِ كُلِّهَا

waj`alni ma`ahum fi almawatini kulliha

include me with them in all situations,

وَلاَ تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ

wa la tufarriq bayni wa baynahum

and do not depart me from them.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

Verily, You have power over all things.

اَللَّهُمَّ لاَ تُؤْيِسْنِي مِنْ رَوْحِكَ

allahumma la tu'yisni min rawhika

O Allah, (please) do not make me despair of Your soothing mercy,

وَلاَ تُقَنِّطْنِي مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

wa la tuqannitni min rahmatika

do not make me lose hope of Your mercy,

وَلاَ تُؤْمِنِّي مَكْرَكَ

wa la tu'minni makraka

and do not make me feel secure against Your plans,

فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَامَنُ مَكْرَ ٱللَّهِ إِلاَّ ٱلْقَوْمُ ٱلْخَاسِرُونَ

fa'innahu la ya'manu makra allahi illa alqawmu alkhasiruna

for none feels secure against Allah’s plans except the losing people.

اللَّهُمَّ انْتَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبِينُ

allahumma anta almaliku alhaqqu almubinu

O Allah, You are verily the King and the Manifest Truth.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاََّ انْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ

la ilaha illa anta subhanaka

There is no god save You. All glory be to You.

إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي

inni zalamtu nafsi

I have wronged myself;

فَٱغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي

faghfir li dhanbi

so, (please) forgive my sin.

إِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ انْتَ

innahu la yaghfiru aldhdhunuba illa anta

Verily, none can forgive sins save You.

لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ

labbayka wa sa`dayka

Here I am responding to You and here I am trying to please You.

وَٱلْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ

walkhayru fi yadayka

All goodness is at Your Hand.

وَٱلشَّرُّ لَيْسَ إِلَيْكَ

walshsharru laysa ilayka

Evil is never ascribed to You.

وَٱلْمَهْدِيُّ مَنْ هَدَيْتَ

walmahdiyyu man hadayta

A true guided is he whom You guide.

عَبْدُكَ وَٱبْنُ عَبْدَيْكَ

`abduka wabnu `abdayka

I, Your servant and the son of Your two servants,

ذَلِيلٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

dhalilun bayna yadayka

am standing in submission before You,

مِنْكَ وَبِكَ وَلَكَ وَإِلَيْكَ

minka wa bika wa laka wa ilayka

and I am from You, through You, to You, and for You.

لاَ مَلْجَا وَلاَ مَنْجَىٰ

la malja'a wa la manja

There is neither haven nor shelter

وَلاَ مَفَرَّ مِنْكَ إِلاََّ إِلَيْكَ

wa la mafarra minka illa ilayka

nor escape from You except with You.

سُبْحَانَكَ وَحَنَانَيْكَ

subhanaka wa hananayka

All glory be to You; I am seeking Your kindness.

تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ

tabarakta wa ta`alayta

Blessed You are and Exalted You are.

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّ ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

subhanaka rabba albayti alharami

All glory be to You, O Lord of the Sacred House.

وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلارْضَ

wajjahtu wajhiya lilladhi fatara alssamawati wal-arda

I have turned myself to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth,

عَالِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَادَةِ

`alimi alghaybi walshshahadati

the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed,

حَنِيفاً مُسْلِماً

hanifan musliman

[and I am] upright and Muslim

وَمَا انَا مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

wa ma ana min almushrikina

and I am not of the polytheists.

إِنَّ صَلاَتِي وَنُسُكِي

inna salati wa nusuki

Surely, my prayer, my sacrifice,

وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي

wa mahyaya wa mamati

my life, and my death

لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

lillahi rabbi al`alamina

are (all) for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ

la sharika lahu

No associate has He;

وَبِذٰلِكَ امِرْتُ

wa bidhalika umirtu

and this am I commanded,

وَانَا مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

wa ana min almuslimina

and I am of those who submit.

وجھت وجھی للذی فطر السماوات و الارض حنیفا مسلما (I have turned towards one who created the heavens and the Earth while I surrender before him and worship him)

Hasan bin Rashid said: "I say it in the same way".

«على ملّة إبراهيم ودين محمّد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ومنهاج عليّ بن أبي طالب عليه السلام والإيتمام بآل محمّد حنيفاً مسلماً وما أنا من المشركين» .

(I have faith upon the nation of Ibrahim and the religion of Mohammad and the path of Ali bin Abi Talib, and I offer my prayers accepting the leadership of Mohammad’s Progeny, while I worship and surrender before Allah, without ascribing any partner to Him).

وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذي فَطَرَ السَّماواتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنيفاً مُسْلِماً عَلى مِلَّةِ إِبْراهيمَ وَدينِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُدى أَميرِالْمُؤْمِنينَ وَما أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكينَ ، إِنَّ صَلاتي وَنُسُكي وَمَحْيايَ وَمَماتي للَّهِِ رَبِّ الْعالَمينَ، لا شَريكَ لَهُ وَبِذلِكَ اُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمينَ . أَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْني مِنَ الْمُسْلِمينَ ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ السَّميعِ الْعَليمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ الرَّجيمِ ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ .

“I have directed my face towards the one who created the Heavens and the Earth while I am a worshipper who surrenders before Him, I have faith upon the nation of Ibrahim and the religion of Mohammad and the guidance of the Commander of the faithful, indeed my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. No partner has He, and this I have been commanded, and I am the first (among You) of the Muslims. O’ Allah, regard me among the Muslims, I seek refuge in Allah, the Hearer, the Knower, from Satan, the expelled, in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.”

And recite Suratul Hamd after it.[1]

اعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

a`udhu bilalshshaytani alrrajimi

I pray Allah’s protection from Satan, the accursed.

الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ‏ الْعَالَمِينَ

alḥamdu lillāhi rabbil ʿālamīn

All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds.

كَذٰلِكَ اللهُ رَبِّي

kadhālikal lāhu rabbi

Such is Allah my Lord, or.

كَذٰلِكَ اللهُ رَبُّـنَا

kadhālikal lāhu rabbunā

Such is Allah our Lord.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

subhana rabbiya al`azimi wa bihamdihi

All glory be to my Lord, the All-great, and in praiseof Him.

سَمِعَ ٱللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ

sami`a allahu liman hamidahu

May Allah listen to him who praises Him.

اسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَاتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allahu rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I implore Allah, my Lord, for forgiveness and I repent to Him.

بِحَوْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ اقُومُ وَاقْعُدُ

bihawli allah wa quwwatihi aqumu wa aq`udu

With the might of Allah and with His power, I stand up and sit down.

كَذٰلِكَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّي

kadhalika allahu rabbi

Such is Allah, my Lord.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

alḥamdu lillāh

…or he should say:

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَ خَیْـرُ الْأَسْمَاءِ لِلّٰهِ

bismil lāhi wa billāhi wal ḥamdu lillāhi wa khayrul asmāʾi lillāh

In the name of Allah and by Allah. All praise is for Allah and the best names belong to Allah.

وَ تَـقَبَّلْ شَفَاعَتَهُ وَ ارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ

wa taqabbal shafāʿatahu war faʿ darajatah<

And accept his intercession* and elevate his rank (referring the Holy Prophet)

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ رَبِّي وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَیْهِ

astaghfirul lāha rabbī wa atūbu ilayh ..or..

I seek the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I repent to Him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي

allāhummagh fir lī

O Allah! Forgive me.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ رَبِّي وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ.

Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa Atuubu Ilayh.

I seek forgiveness of Allah my Lord and I turn to Him

یَا خَیْـرَ الْمَسْـــــــئُولِینَ وَ یَا خـَـــیْـرَ الْمُعْطِینَ، اُرْزُقْنِي وَ ارْزُقْ عِیَاِلي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ، فَإِنَّكَ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِیمِ

yā khayral masʾūlīn wa yā khayral muʿṭīn, urzuqnī war zuq ʿiyālī min faḍlik, faʾinnaka dhūl faḍlil ʿaẓīm

O the Best of those who are Asked, and O the Best Giver! Grant me sustenance and grant my family sustenance with Your grace, for indeed, You are the Possessor of Great Grace;

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِٱللَّهِ

bismillahi wa billahi

In the Name of Allah (I begin) and in Allah (I trust).

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

walhamdu lillahi

All praise be to Allah.

وَخَيْرُ ٱلاسْمَاءِ لِلَّهِ

wa khayru al-asma'i lillahi

The most excellent names be to Allah.

اشْهَدُ انْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ

ashhadu an la ilaha illa allahu

I bear witness that there is no god save Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ رَكَعْتُ

allahumma laka raka`tu

O Allah, to You alone have I genuflected,

وَلَكَ اسْلَمْتُ

wa laka aslamtu

to You alone have I submitted,

وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ

wa bika amantu

in You have I believed,

وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ

wa `alayka tawakkaltu

and in You have I put my trust.

وَانْتَ رَبِّي

wa anta rabbi

And You are my Lord.

خَشَعَ لَكَ سَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي

khasha`a laka sam`i wa basari

Revering to You are my hearing, my sight,

وَشَعْرِي وَبَشَرِي

wa sha`ri wa bashari

my hair, my skin,

وَلَحْمِي وَدَمِي

wa lahmi wa dami

my flesh, my blood,

وَمُخِّي وَعَصَبِي وَعِظَامِي

wa mukhkhi wa `asabi wa `izami

my brain, my nerve, my bones,

وَمَا اقَلَّتْهُ قَدَمَايَ

wa ma aqallat-hu qadamaya

and whatever is borne by my two feet.

غَيْرَ مُسْتَنْكِفٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَحْسِرٍ

ghayra mustankifin wa la mustakbirin wa la mustahsir

I am neither disdaining, nor arrogant, nor regretful.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ

allahumma laka sajadtu

O Allah, to You (alone) do I prostrate,

وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ

wa bika amantu

in You do I have faith,

وَلَكَ اسْلَمْتُ

wa laka aslamtu

to You do I submit,

وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ

wa `alayka tawakkaltu

in You do I put trust,

وَانْتَ رَبِّي

wa anta rabbi

and You are my Lord.

سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ

sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu

My face is prostrating the One Who has created it

وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ

wa shaqqa sam`ahu wa basarahu

and split its hearing and sight.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

alhamdu lillahi rabbi al`alamina

All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

تَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ احْسَنُ ٱلْخَالِقِينَ

tabaraka allahu ahsanu alkhaliqina

Blessed be Allah, the most excellent of all creators.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَا

allahumma ighfir lana warhamna

O Allah, (please) forgive us, have mercy upon us,

وَعَافِنَا وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا

wa `afina wa`fu `anna

endue us with wellbeing, and pardon us

فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

fi alddunya wal-akhirati

in this world and in the Hereafter.

إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

Verily, You have power over all things.

اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ كَانَ اصْبَحَ وَلَهُ ثِقَةٌ اوْ رَجَاءٌ غَيْرُكَ

allahumma man kana asbaha wa lahu thiqatun aw raja'un ghayruka

O Allah, if there is any one who begins his day by putting his trust and his hope in any one other than

فَانْتَ ثِقَتِي وَرَجَائِي

fa'anta thiqati wa raja'i

then You (alone) is my trust and my hope.

يَا اجْوَدَ مَنْ سُئِلَ

ya ajwada man su'ila

O most magnanimous of all those who may be besought!

وَيَا ارْحَمَ مَنِ ٱسْتُرْحِمَ

wa ya arhama man isturhima

O most merciful of all those whose mercy may be prayed!

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(Please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱرْحَمْ ضَعْفِي وَمَسْكَنَتِي

warham da`fi wa maskanati

have mercy upon my weakness, neediness,

وَقِلَّةَ حِيلَتِي

wa qillata hilati

and lack of solution,

وَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِٱلْجَنَّةِ طَوْلاًَ مِنْكَ

wamnun `alayya biljannati tawlan minka

bestow upon me with Paradise out of Your favoring,

وَفُكَّ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa fukka raqabati min alnnari

set my neck free from Hellfire,

وَعَافِنِي فِي نَفْسِي

wa `afini fi nafsi

and endue me with wellbeing in my self

وَفِي جَمِيعِ امُورِي

wa fi jami`i umuri

and in all of my affairs,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا ارْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy

لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul Halimul Karim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Forbearing and Generous

لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Most High and

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ

Subhaanallaahi Rabbis Samaawaatis Sab'

Glory be to Allah, Who is the Sustainer of the seven heavens and of the seven earth

وَ رَبِّ الاَرْضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ

wa Rabbil ‘Arzinas Sab'

And Who is the Sustainer of all the things

وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَ

wa maa fihinna wa maa baynahunna

in them, and between them,

رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

wa Rabbul 'Arshil ‘Azim

And Who is the Lord of the great ‘Arsh

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Wal Hamdul lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalamin

And all praise for Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds.
