Dua Akhasi Sifatik

Significance of this Dua — It is a small but very compact dua'a. The reciter asks for every thing he needs in this world, and will be in need of on the day of judgment. All pious religious scholars recite this dua'a at the time of tawaf of Ka-bah. The power of this dua'a is that you can have your complete needs in one dua'a :

لٰهِيْ بِاَخَصِّ صِفَاتِكَ

illahi bi akhasi sifatika,

O Allah, in the name of your most special attributes,

وَ بِعِزِّ جَلَالِكَ وَ بِاَعْظَمِ اَسْمَآئِكَ

wa bi eezi jalalika, wa bi adhamati asmaika,

in the name of the dignity of your exalted majesty, in the name of the greatness of your names,

وَ بِعِصْمَةِ اَنْبِيَآئِكَ وَ بِنُوْرِ اَوْلِيَآئِكَ

wa bi ismati an biyaika, wa bi noori auliyaika,

in the name of the purity of your prophets, in the name of the light of your chosen representatives,

وَ بِدَمِ شُهْدَآئِكَ وَ بِمِدَادِ عُلَمَآئِكَ

wa bi d'ami shuhadaika, wa bi midadi ulamaika,

in the name of the blood shed by the martyrs in your cause, in the name of the ink used by the scholars of your purpose and plan,

وَ بِدُعَآءِ صُلَحَآئِكَ وَ بِمُنَاجَاتِ فُقَرَآئِكَ

wa bi dua'ai sulahaika, wa bi munajati fukaraika,

in the name of the prayers of the righteous and in the name of the invocations made by your servants leaving in resignation and asceticism,

نَسْئَلُكَ زِيَادَةً فِيْ الْعِلْمِ

nas aluka ziyadatan fil ilm,

We beseech you for continuous addition in knowledge,

وَصِحَّةً فِيْ الْجِسْمِ

wa sihatan fil jism,

freedom from sickness in the body,

وَ طُوْلاً فِيْ الْعُمْرِ فِيْ طَاعَتِكَ

wa tulan fil umr fi ta'atika,

long duration of life spent in your obedience

وَ سِعَةً فِيْ الرِّزْقِ

wa sa'atan fi rizk,

abundance in the means of livelihood,

وَ تَوْبَةً قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ

wa taubatan kablal maut,

divine guidance to turn repentant unto you, before death,

وَ رَاحَةً عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَ مَغْفِرَةً بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ

wa rahatan indal maut, wa maghfiratan ba'adal maut,

freedom from pain at the time of death, protection after death,

وَ نُوْرًا فِيْ

wa nooran fil kabri,

light in the grave,

الْقَبْرِ وَ نَجَاةً مِّنَ النَّارِ وَ دُخْوْلًا فِيْ الْجَنَّةِ

wa najatan mina naari, wa dukhulan fil janati,

escape from the hell, entry into the paradise

وَ عَافِيَةً مِنْ كُلِّ بَلَآءِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ

wa afiyatan min kuli balaai dunya, wa adhabil akhirati,

and safety from all the evils of the world and from the chastisement in the hereafter,

بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ.

bihaki muhamadin wa ahli batihi tayibina tahiriynal ma'asumina.

in the name and for the sake of Muhammad and his pure, purified and infallible progeny.
