Dua for fending of Grief & Fear

1

يَا أَبْصَرَ ٱلنَّاظِرِينَ

O best seer of all those who can see,

2

وَيَا أَسْمَعَ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ

O best hearer of all those who can hear,

3

وَيَا أَسْرَعَ ٱلْحَاسِبِينَ

O swiftest of those who settle account,

4

وَيَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

and O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

5

اللَّهُ رَبِّي لاَ أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً

Allah is my Lord; I never associate any thing to Him.

6

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ

I put my trust in the Ever-living Who never dies.

7

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدَ

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of (the fact) that to You is all praise;

8

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ ٱلْمَنَّانُ

there is no god save You, the All-donor,

9

بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ

the excellent originator of the heavens and the earth,

10

ذُو ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

and the Lord of majesty and honor

11

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

12

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِي مِمَّا أَنَا فِيهِ فَرَجاً وَمَخْرَجاً

and to prepare for me a relief and way out from what I am in. After that, the caravan came and took Prophet Joseph out of the well, as the Holy Qur'an has related.

13

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ لاَ يَكْفِي مِنْكَ أَحَدٌ

O Allah, nothing can ever save from You

14

وَأَنْتَ تَكْفِي مِنْ كُلِّ أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

while You alone can save from any of Your creatures;

15

فَٱكْفِنِي…

so, save me from…

16

يَا كَافِياً مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

O He Who saves from all things

17

وَلاَ يَكْفِي مِنْكَ شَيْءٌ

while nothing can ever save from You

18

فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَٱلأَرْضِ

neither in the heavens nor on the earth,

19

ٱكْفِنِي مَا أَهَمَّنِي مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

(please) save me from what has distressed me, be it a this-worldly or a otherworldly affair,

20

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

and send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.

21

بِٱللَّهِ أَسْتَفْتِحُ

With Allah do I commence,

22

وَبِٱللَّهِ أَسْتَنْجِحُ

from Allah do I seek success,

23

وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَتَوَجَّهُ

and in the name of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household, do I turn my face (towards Allah).

24

اَللَّهُمَّ ذَلِّلْ لِي صُعُوبَتَهُ

O Allah, (please) make easy for me the difficulty of this matter

25

وَسَهِّلْ لِي حُزُونَتَهُ

and facilitate for me its complication,

26

فَإِنَّكَ تَمْحُو مَا تَشَاءُ وَتُثْبِتُ

for You verily efface what You will and establish (what You will)

27

وَعِنْدَكَ أُمُّ ٱلْكِتَابِ

and with You is the source of ordinance.

28

حَسْبِيَ ٱللَّهُ

Sufficient to me is Allah.

29

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

There is no god but Him.

30

عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ

In Him do I trust

31

وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعظِيمِ

and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.

32

وَأَمْتَنِعُ بِحَوْلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقُوَّتِهِ

I take shelter in Allah’s might and power

33

مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ وَقُوَّتِهِمْ

against their might and power.

34

وَأَمْتَنِعُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ

I take shelter in the Lord of the dawn

35

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

against the evil of what He has created.

36

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ

There is neither might nor power except with Allah.

37

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

38

وَٱغْفِرْ لِي وَٱرْحَمْنِي

forgive me, have mercy upon me,

39

وَزَكِّ عَمَلِي وَيَسِّرْ مُنْقَلَبِي

multiply my (good) deed, make easy my place of return,

40

وَٱهْدِ قَلْبِي وَآمِنْ خَوْفِي

guide my heart, secure my fear,

41

وَعَافِنِي فِي عُمْرِي كُلِّهِ

grant me wellbeing throughout my whole lifetime,

42

وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي وَٱغْفِرْ خَطَايَايَ

admit my plea, forgive my wrongdoings,

43

وَبَيِّضْ وَجْهِي وَٱعْصِمْنِي فِي دِينِي

whiten my face, preserve me with regard to my faith,

44

وَسَهِّلْ مَطْلَبِي وَوَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِي

make easy for me to attain my aim, and expand Your sustenance to me,

45

فَإِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ

for I am too weak to do that.

46

وَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّءِ مَا عِنْدِي

(Please) overlook the evil I have done

47

بِحُسْنِ مَا عِنْدَكَ

in the name of the good You always do,

48

وَلاَ تَفْجَعْنِي بِنَفْسِي

do not make me suffer from the loss of myself,

49

وَلاَ تَفْجَعْ لِي حَمِيماً

and do not make me suffer from the loss of one I intimately love.

50

وَهَبْ لِي يَا إِلٰهِي لَحْظَةً مِنْ لَحَظَاتِكَ

(Please) grant me, O my God, one of Your glances

51

تَكْشِفُ بِهَا عَنِّي جَمِيعَ مَا بِهِ ابْتَلَيْتَنِي

through which You may relieve me from all what You have tested me through

52

وَتَرُدُّ بِهَا عَلَيَّ مَا هُوَ أَحْسَنُ عَادَتِكَ عِنْدِي

and through which You may endue me again with the best of Your usual bestowals to me,

53

فَقَدْ ضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتِي وَقَلَّتْ حِيلَتِي

for my power has decreased, my plans have failed,

54

وَٱنْقَطَعَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ رَجَائِي

and my hope in Your creatures have lost

55

وَلَمْ يَبْقَ إِلاَّ رَجَاؤُكَ وَتَوَكُّلِي عَلَيْكَ

and nothing remained except my hope in You and my trust in You.

56

وَقُدْرَتُكَ عَلَيَّ يَا رَبِّ أَنْ تَرْحَمَنِي وَتُعَافِيَنِي

Your power, O my Lord, to have mercy upon me and to grant me wellbeing

57

كَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ تُعَذِّبَنِي وَتَبْتَلِيَنِي

is the same as Your power to chastise and afflict me.

58

إِلٰهِي ذِكْرُ عَوَائِدِكَ يُؤْنِسُنِي

O my God, my remembrance of Your conferrals entertains me

59

وَٱلرَّجَاءُ لإِنْعَامِكَ يُقَوِّينِي

and my expectation of Your favors strengthens me.

60

وَلَمْ أَخْلُ مِنْ نِعَمِكَ مُنْذُ خَلَقْتَنِي

I have never done without Your favors since You created me.

61

فَأَنْتَ رَبِّي وَسَيِّدِي

So, You are my lord, my master,

62

وَمَفْزَعِي وَمَلْجَأِي

my shelter, my haven,

63

وَٱلْحَافِظُ لِي وَٱلذَّابُّ عَنِّي

my protector, my defender,

64

وَٱلرَّحِيمُ بِي وَٱلْمُتَكَفِّلُ بِرِزْقِي

the merciful to me, the guarantor of my sustenance,

65

وَفِي قَضَائِكَ وَقُدْرَتِكَ كُلُّ مَا أَنَا فِيهِ

and whatever I am in is under Your decree and authority.

66

فَلْيَكُنْ يَا سَيِّدِي وَمَوْلاَيَ

So, O my master and cherisher,

67

فِيمَا قَضَيْتَ وَقَدَّرْتَ وَحَتَمْتَ

within Your decrees, decisions, and inevitable commands,

68

تَعْجِيلُ خَلاَصِي مِمَّا أَنَا فِيهِ جَمِيعِهِ

(please) decide on my salvation from all that which I am suffering

69

وَٱلْعَافِيَةُ لِي

and on granting me wellbeing,

70

فَإِنِّي لاَ أَجِدُ لِدَفْعِ ذٰلِكَ أَحَداً غَيْرَكَ

for I cannot find any one who can do all that except You

71

وَلاَ أَعْتَمِدُ فِيهِ إِلاَّ عَلَيْكَ

and I trust in none save You.

72

فَكُنْ يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

O Lord of majesty and honor,

73

عِنْدَ أَحْسَنِ ظَنِّي بِكَ وَرَجَائِي لَكَ

(please) act according to the good idea I have about You and according to the hope I have in You,

74

وَٱرْحَمْ تَضَرُّعِي وَٱسْتِكَانَتِي وَضَعْفَ رُكْنِي

have mercy on my earnest humbleness, my submission, and the weakness of my support,

75

وَٱمْنُنْ بِذٰلِكَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ دَاعٍ دَعَاكَ

and endue me, as well as all suppliants that supplicate You, with all of that.

76

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

77

وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

May Allah bless Muhammad and his Household.

78

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِٱللَّهِ

In the Name of Allah (I begin), in Allah (I trust),

79

وَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ

from Allah (I derive power), to Allah (I resort),

80

وَفِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ

in the way of Allah (I proceed),

81

وَعَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ

and on the principles of Allah’s Messenger (I advance),

82

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

may Allah bless him and his Household.

83

اَللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي

O Allah, to You have I submitted myself,

84

وَإِلَيْكَ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي

towards You have I turned my face,

85

وَإِلَيْكَ أَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي

to You have I commended my cause,

86

وَإِلَيْكَ فَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي

and with You have I entrusted my affairs.

87

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱحْفَظْنِي بِحِفْظِ ٱلإِيـمَانِ

O Allah, (please) safeguard me with the safeguard of faith

88

مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي

before me, behind me,

89

وَعَنْ يَمِينِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي

to my right side, to my left side,

90

وَمِنْ فَوْقِي وَمِنْ تَحْتِي وَمَا قِبَلِي

above me, beneath me, and in front of me,

91

وَٱدْفَعْ عَنِّي بِحَوْ لِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ

and defend me with Your might and power,

92

فَإِنَّهُ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِكَ

since there is neither might nor power except with You.

93

يَا كَائِناً قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

O He Who existed before all things!

94

وَيَا مُكَوِّنَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

O He Who composed all things!

95

وَيَا بَاقِياً بَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

O He Who shall survive after all things!

96

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ…

(Please) bless Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household and…

97

يَا مَنْ يَكْفِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

O He Who saves from all things

98

وَلاَ يَكْفِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ

but nothing can ever save from Him,

99

ٱكْفِنِي مَا أَهَمَّنِي

(please) save me from what has distressed me.

100

يَا مَوْضِعَ كُلِّ شَكْوَىٰ

O target of all complaints!

101

وَيَا سَامِعَ كُلِّ نَجْوَىٰ

O hearer of all confidential talks!

102

وَيَا شَاهِدَ كُلِّ مََلإٍ

O witness of all gatherings!

103

وَيَا عَالِمَ كُلِّ خَفِيَّةٍ

O knower of all hidden things!

104

وَيَا دَافِعَ مَا يَشَاءُ مِنْ بَلِيَّةٍ

O repelling of whatever tribulation You will to repel!

105

يَا خَلِيلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

O friend of Abraham!

106

وَيَا نَجِيَّ مُوسَىٰ

O talker to Moses!

107

وَيَا مُصْطَفِيَ مُحَمَّدٍ

O chooser of Muhammad,

108

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

may Allah bless him and his Household!

109

أَدْعُوكَ دُعَاءَ مَنِ ٱشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهُ

I supplicate You with the supplication of one whose indigence is extreme,

110

وَقَلَّتْ حِيلَتُهُ

whose stratagem has failed,

111

وَضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتُهُ

and whose ability has fallen short;

112

دُعَاءَ ٱلْغَرِيبِ ٱلْغَرِيقِ ٱلْمُضْطَرِّ

the supplication of one who is stranger, drowned, distressed;

113

ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَجِدُ لِكَشْفِ مَا هُوَ فِيهِ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

one who has no one at all to relieve him from what he is suffering save You,

114

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

115

يَا فَارِجَ ٱلْهَمِّ

O Reliever of distress

116

وَيَا كَاشِفَ ٱلْغَمِّ

and Remover of agony!

117

يَا رَحْمٰنَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ وَرَحِيمَهُمَا

O Beneficent and Merciful of this world and the Hereafter,

118

فَرِّجْ هَمِّي

(please) relieve my distress

119

وَٱكْشِفْ غَمِّي

and remove my agony.

120

يَا اللَّهُ ٱلْوَاحِدُ

O Allah Who is the One,

121

ٱلأَحَدُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

the One and Only, and the eternally besought of all;

122

ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

Who begets not nor was begotten

123

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ

and there is none comparable unto Him,

124

ٱعْصِمْنِي وَطَهِّرْنِي

(please) protect me, purify me,

125

وَٱذْهَبْ بِبَلِيَّتِي

and eliminate my tribulation.

126

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ

O He Who is ever-living! O He Who is self-subsisting!

127

يَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

O He save Whom there is no god!

128

بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ

In the name of Your mercy do I seek aid;

129

فَٱكْفِنِي مَا أَهَمَّنِي

so, (please) save me from what has distressed me

130

وَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَىٰ نَفْسِي

and do not refer me to myself.

131

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ

O Allah, I beseech You

132

بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيٍّ

in the name of Muhammad and `Ali,

133

فَإِنَّ لَهُمَا عِنْدَكَ شَأْناً مِنَ ٱلشَّأْنِ

for they both enjoy a remarkable standing with You

134

وَقَدْراً مِنَ ٱلْقَدْرِ

and a significant status;

135

فَبِحَقِّ ذٰلِكَ ٱلشَّأْنِ

so, (I beseech You) in the name of this standing

136

وَبِحَقِّ ذٰلِكَ ٱلْقَدْرِ

and in the name of this status

137

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَنْ…

(please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and…

138

اَللَّهُمَّ بِحَقِّ عَلِيٍّ عِنْدَكَ ٱغْفِرْ لِعَلِيٍّ.

O Allah, (I beseech You) in the name of `Ali’s standing with You, (please) forgive `Ali.

139

فقلت يا رسول الله : ما هذا؟ فقال : أو أحد أكرم منك عليه فأستشفع به اليه

Surprisingly, I said to him, “O Allah’s Messenger, what kind of supplication is this?” He (s) answered, “Can I find any other person who is dearer to Allah than you are so that I can beseech Him in his name?”

140

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

141

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْكَ بِهِمْ،

O God, I turn to You through the mediation of Muhammad and Progeny of Muhammad

142

وَ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ بِحَقِّهِمُ الْعَظِیْمِ،

and I adjure by that right of theirs,

143

الَّذِيْ لَا يَعْلَمُ كُنْهَهٗ سِوَاكَ،

whose reality is not known to anyone, except You.

144

وَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهٗ عِنْدَكَ عَظِيْمٌ،

And I adjure by the rights of those,

145

وَ بِاَسْمَائِكَ الْحُسْنٰى وَ كَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّاتِ الَّتِيْ اَمَرْتَنِيْ اَنْ اَدْعُوَكَ بِهَا،

whose right is great in your view and I adjure by your beautiful names and the perfect words through which You have commanded us to supplicate.

146

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيْمِ الَّذِيْ اَمَرْتَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ - ؑ - اَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِهِ الطَّيْرَ فَاَجَابَتْهُ.

And I adjure You by that name through which You commanded Ibrahim Khaleel to call the dead birds.

147

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيْمِ الَّذِيْ قُلْتَ لِلنَّارِكُوْنِيْ بَرْدًا وَ سَلَامًا عَلٰى‏ اِبْراهِيْمَ فَكَانَتْ،

And by that great name, which You blew on fire and made it cool and safe.

148

وَ بِاَحَبِّ اَسْمَائِكَ اِلَيْكَ، وَ اَشْرَفِهَا عِنْدَكَ،

And by your most loved, noble and great names,

149

وَ اَعْظَمِهَا لَدَيْكَ وَ اَسْرَعِهَا اِجَابَةً، وَ اَنْجَحِهَا طَلِبَةً،

through which supplication is accepted immediately and needs are fulfilled

150

وَ بِمَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهٗ وَ مُسْتَحِقُّهٗ وَ مُسْتَوْجِبُهٗ.

and which You are deserving of and owner of.

151

وَ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ، وَ اَرْغَبُ اِلَيْكَ،

I seek mediation to You, I am attentive to You and I seek your help.

152

وَ اَتَصَدَّقُ مِنْكَ،

And I seek bestowal and favor;

153

وَ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ اَسْتَمْنِحُكَ،

and I am a petitioner;

154

وَ اَتَضَرَّعُ اِلَيْكَ،

and I am humble

155

وَ اَخْضَعُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ،

and sincere before You,

156

وَ اَخْشَعُ لَكَ وَ اُقِرُّ لَكَ بِسُوْءِ صَنِيْعَتِي،

and I confess to my evil deeds .

157

وَ اَتَمَلَّقُكَ وَ اُلِحُّ عَلَيْكَ.

and I insist and persist before You

158

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكُتُبِكَ الَّتِيْ اَنْزَلْتَهَا عَلٰى اَنْبِيَائِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ،

I adjure by your Books that You revealed on the prophets and messengers

159

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ،

(your blessings and mercy be on them all).

160

مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْاِنْجِيْلِ وَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ،

That is Taurat, Injeel and the great Quran

161

مِنْ اَوَّلِهَا اِلٰى آخِرِهَا،

from its beginning till its end.

162

فَاِنَّ فِيْهَا اسْمَكَ الْاَعْظَمَ،

As it contains your great name and your beautiful names,

163

وَ بِمَا فِيْهَا مِنْ اَسْمَائِكَ الْعُظْمٰى اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ،

through which I seek your proximity.

164

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ،

I beseech You to bless Muhammad and progeny of Muhammad and remove their grief and sorrow and through their intercession,

165

وَ اَنْ تُفَرِّجَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ وَ تَجْعَلَ فَرَجِيْ مَقْرُوْنًا بِفَرَجِهِمْ،

remove my grief and sorrow as well,

166

(وَ تُقَدِّمَهُمْ فِيْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ) وَ تَبْدَاَ بِهِمْ فِيْهِ،

and keep them at the forefront in every good,

167

وَ تَفْتَحَ اَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ لِدُعَائِيْ فِيْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ،

and begin this only with them and today open the gates of heavens for my supplications

168

وَ تَاْذَنَ فِيْ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَ هٰذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ بِفَرَجِيْ،

and today and tonight command peace for me

169

وَ اِعْطَائِيْ سُؤْلِيْ وَ اَمَلِیْ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْاٰخِرَةِ،

and fulfillment of all my demands as

170

فَقَدْ مَسَّنِيَ الْفَقْرُ،

poverty has besieged me

171

وَ نَالَنِي الضُّرُّ،

and difficulties surround me.

172

وَ سَلَّمَتْنِي الْخَصَاصَةُ وَ اَلْجَاَتْنِيْ الْحَاجَةُ،

Needs have turned me over to You and needs have made me a refugee.

173

وَ تَوَسَّمْتُ بِالذِّلَّةِ،

Humiliation has targeted

174

وَ غَلَبَتْنِي الْمَسْكَنَةُ،

and poverty had overpowered,

175

وَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيَّ الْكَلِمَةُ،

and your word is proved true

176

وَ اَحَاطَتْ بِيَ الْخَطِيْئَةُ،

and mistakes have surrounded me.

177

وَ هٰذَا الْوَقْتُ الَّذِيْ وَعَدْتَ اَوْلِيَاءَكَ فِيْهِ الْاِجَابَةَ.

This is the time, when You promised acceptance to your friends.

178

فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ،

bless Muhammad and progeny of Muhammad

179

وَ امْسَحْ مَا بِيْ بِيَمِيْنِكَ الشَّافِيَةِ،

and remove my difficulties through your curative hands

180

وَ انْظُرْ اِلَيَّ بِعَيْنِكَ الرَّاحِمَةِ،

and look upon me with mercy

181

وَ اَدْخِلْنِيْ فِيْ رَحْمَتِكَ الْوَاسِعَةِ،

and admit me in your wide mercy.

182

وَ اَقْبِلْ اِلَيَّ بِوَجْهِكَ الَّذِيْ اِذَا اَقْبَلْتَ بِهٖ عَلٰى اَسِيْرٍ فَكَكْتَهٗ،

Turn your towards me, which if it is turned to the prisoner, he is freed.

183

وَ عَلٰى ضَالٍّ هَدَيْتَهٗ،

And if it is turned to the misguided, he becomes guided.

184

وَ عَلٰى جَائِزٍ اَدَّيْتَهٗ وَ عَلٰى فَقِیْرٍ اَغْنَيْتَهٗ،

And if it is turned to the perplexed, he is freed from perplexity. And if it is turned to the destitute, he becomes affluent.

185

وَ عَلٰى ضَعِيْفٍ قَوَّيْتَهٗ،

If it is turned to the weak, he becomes strong.

186

وَ عَلٰى خَائِفٍ اٰمَنْتَهٗ،

If it is turned to the fearful, he is granted security.

187

وَ لَا تُخْلِنِيْ لِقَاءَ عَدُوِّكَ وَ عَدُوِّيْ،

O God, allow my and your enemy to meet me,

188

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْاِكْرَامِ.

O owner of might and majesty.

189

يَا مَنْ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَيْفَ هُوَ،

O One, whose reality, position

190

وَ حَيْثُ هُوَ وَ قُدْرَتَهٗ اِلَّا هُوَ،

and power is not known to anyone,except Him

191

يَا مَنْ سَدَّ الْهَوَاءَ بِالسَّمَاءِ،

O One, who has confined the atmosphere by the sky

192

وَ كَبَسَ الْاَرْضَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ،

and placed the earth on water

193

وَ اخْتَارَ لِنَفْسِهٖ اَحْسَنَ الْاَسْمَاءِ.

and chose the best names for Himself.

194

يَا مَنْ سَمّٰى نَفْسَهٗ بِالْاِسْمِ الَّذِيْ بِهٖ تَقْضِيْ حَاجَةَ كُلِّ طَالِبٍ يَدْعُوْهُ بِهٖ.

O that God, who adopted for Himself every that name through which He fulfills the needs of all those, who pray through them.

195

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِذٰلِكَ الْاِسْمِ،

I beseech You through the mediation of your names

196

فَلَا شَفِيْعَ اَقْوٰى لِيْ مِنْهُ،

as I have no intercessor stronger than this.

197

وَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ (اَسْاَلُكَ) اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

And I adjure You by the right of Muhammad and progeny of Muhammad that You bless Muhammad and progeny of Muhammad

198

وَ اَنْ تَقْضِيَ لِيْ حَوَائِجِيْ،

and fulfill all my pleas.

199

وَ تُسْمِعَ مُحَمَّدًا وَ عَلِيًّا وَ فَاطِمَةَ،

And make my plea reach upto His Eminence Muhammad, Ali Fatima

200

وَ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ وَ عَلِيًّا وَ مُحَمَّدًا،

Hassan Hussain Ali Muhammad

201

وَ جَعْفَرًا وَ مُوسٰى،

Jafar Musa

202

وَ عَلِيًّا وَ مُحَمَّدًا وَ عَلِيًّا،

Ali Muhammad Ali

203

وَ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُجَّةَ - صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ بَرَكَاتُكَ وَ رَحْمَتُكَ – صَوْتِيْ،

Hasan and Hujjat Qaim [your blessings and mercy be on them all],

204

فَيَشْفَعُوْا لِيْ اِلَيْكَ وَ تُشَفِّعَهُمْ فِيَّ،

so that they may be able to recommend my case in your court and You allow them to intercede for me.

205

وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِيْ خَائِبًا،

And don’t turn me away in despair,

206

بِحَقِّ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،

I adjure You by ‘there is no god, except Allah’ and

207

وَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

I adjure You by Muhammad and progeny of Muhammad,

208

صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

Bless Muhammad and his progeny

209

وَ افْعَلْ بِيْ ’’كَذَا وَ كَذَا‘‘ يَا كَرِيْمُ.

conduct with me ‘as follows’, O merciful God.
