اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 2
وَبَلِّغْ بِإِيمَانِي أَكْمَلَ الْإِيمَانِ
cause my faith to reach the most perfect faith,
- 3
وَاجْعَلْ يَقِينِي أَفْضَلَ الْيَقِينِ
make my certainty the most excellent certainty,
- 4
وَانْتَهِ بِنِيَّتِي إِلَىٰ أَحْسَنِ النِّيَّاتِ
take my intention to the best of intentions,
- 5
وَبِعَمَلِي إِلَىٰ أَحْسَنِ الْأَعْمَالِ
and my works to the best of works.
- 6
اَللَّهُمَّ وَفِّرْ بِلُطْفِكَ نِيَّتِي
O God, complete my intention through Thy gentleness,
- 7
وَصَحِّحْ بِمَا عِنْدَكَ يَقِينِي
rectify my certainty through what is with Thee,
- 8
وَاسْتَصْلِحْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ مَا فَسَدَ مِنِّي
set right what is corrupt in me through Thy power.
- 9
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 10
وَاكْفِنِي مَا يَشْغَلُنِي الْاهْتِمَامُ بِهِ
spare me the concerns which distract me,
- 11
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِمَا تَسْأَلُنِي غَدًا عَنْهُ
employ me in that about which Thou wilt ask me tomorrow,
- 12
وَاسْتَفْرِغْ أَيَّامِي فِيمَا خَلَقْتَنِي لَهُ
let me pass my days in that for which Thou hast created me.
- 13
وَأَغْنِنِي وَأَوْسِعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِكَ
Free me from need, expand Thy provision toward me,
- 14
وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالْبَطَرِ وَأَعِزَّنِي وَلَا تَبْتَلِيَنِّي بِالْكِبْرِ
tempt me not with ingratitude; exalt me, afflict me not with pride.
- 15
وَعَبِّدْنِي لَكَ وَلَا تُفْسِدْ عِبَادَتِي بِالْعُجْبِ
Make me worship Thee, corrupt not my worship with self-admiration.
- 16
وَأَجْرِ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ يَدَيَّ الْخَيْرَ وَلَا تَمْحَقْهُ بِالْمَنِّ
Let good flow from my hands upon the people, efface it not by obligation.
- 17
وَهَبْ لِي مَعَالِيَ الْأَخْلَاقِ وَاعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الْفَخْرِ
Give me the highest moral traits, preserve me from vainglory.
- 18
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 19
وَلَا تَرْفَعْنِي فِي النَّاسِ دَرَجَةً
raise me not a single degree before the people
- 20
إِلَّا حَطَطْتَنِي عِنْدَ نَفْسِي مِثْلَهَا
without lowering me its like in myself,
- 21
وَلَا تُحْدِثْ لِي عِزًّا ظَاهِرًا
bring about no outward exaltation for me
- 22
إِلَّا أَحْدَثْتَ لِي ذِلَّةً بَاطِنَةً عِنْدَ نَفْسِي بِقَدَرِهَا
without an inward abasement in myself to the same measure.
- 23
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O God, bless Muhammad and Muhammad's Household,
- 24
وَمَتِّعْنِي بِهُدًى صَالِحٍ لَا أَسْتَبْدِلُ بِهِ
give me to enjoy a sound guidance which I seek not to replace,
- 25
وَطَرِيقَةِ حَقٍّ لَا أَزِيغُ عَنْهَا
a path of truth from which I swerve not,
- 26
وَنِيَّةِ رُشْدٍ لَا أَشُكُّ فِيهَا
an intention of right conduct in which I have no doubts.
- 27
وَعَمِّرْنِي مَا كَانَ عُمْرِي بِذْلَةً فِي طَاعَتِكَ
Let me live as long as my life is a free gift in obeying Thee,
- 28
فَإِذَا كَانَ عُمْرِي مَرْتَعًا لِلشَّيْطَانِ
but if my life should become a pasture for Satan,
- 29
فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْبِقَ مَقْتُكَ إِلَيَّ
seize me to Thyself before Thy hatred overtakes me
- 30
أَوْ يَسْتَحْكِمَ غَضَبُكَ عَلَيَّ
or Thy wrath against me becomes firm.
- 31
اَللَّهُمَّ لَا تَدَعْ خَصْلَةً تُعَابُ مِنِّي إِلَّا أَصْلَحْتَهَا
O God, deposit in me no quality for which I will be faulted, unless Thou settest it right,
- 32
وَلَا عَائِبَةً أُؤَنَّبُ بِهَا إِلَّا حَسَّنْتَهَا
no flaw for which I will be blamed, unless Thou makest it beautiful,
- 33
وَلَا أُكْرُومَةً فِيَّ نَاقِصَةً إِلَّا أَتْمَمْتَهَا
no deficient noble trait, unless Thou completest it.
- 34
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O God, bless Muhammad and Muhammad's Household,
- 35
وَأَبْدِلْنِي مِنْ بِغْضَةِ أَهْلِ الشَّنَآنِ الْمَحَبَّةَ
replace for me the animosity of the people of hatred with love,
- 36
وَمِنْ حَسَدِ أَهْلِ الْبَغْيِ الْمَوَدَّةَ
the envy of the people of insolence with affection,
- 37
وَمِنْ ظِنَّةِ أَهْلِ الصَّلَاحِ الثِّقَةَ
the suspicion of the people of righteousness with trust,
- 38
وَمِنْ عَدَاوَةِ الْأَدْنَيْنَ الْوَلَايَةَ
the enmity of those close with friendship,
- 39
وَمِنْ عُقُوقِ ذَوِي الْأَرْحَامِ الْمَبَرَّةَ
the disrespect of womb relatives with devotion,
- 40
وَمِنْ خِذْلَانِ الْأَقْرَبِينَ النُّصْرَةَ
the abandonment of relatives with help,
- 41
وَمِنْ حُبِّ الْمُدَارِينَ تَصْحِيحَ الْمِقَةِ
the attachment of flatterers with love set right,
- 42
وَمِنْ رَدِّ الْمُلَابِسِينَ كَرَمَ الْعِشْرَةِ
the rejection of fellows with generous friendliness,
- 43
وَمِنْ مَرَارَةِ خَوْفِ الظَّالِمِينَ حَلَاوَةَ الْأَمَنَةِ
the bitterness of the fear of wrongdoers with the sweetness of security.
- 44
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 45
وَاجْعَلْ لِي يَدًا عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي
appoint for me a hand against him who wrongs me,
- 46
وَلِسَانًا عَلَىٰ مَنْ خَاصَمَنِي
a tongue against him who disputes with me,
- 47
وَظَفَرًا بِمَنْ عَانَدَنِي
and a victory over him who stubbornly resists me.
- 48
وَهَبْ لِي مَكْرًا عَلَىٰ مَنْ كَايَدَنِي
Give me guile against him who schemes against me,
- 49
وَقُدْرَةً عَلَىٰ مَنِ اضْطَهَدَنِي
power over him who oppresses me,
- 50
وَتَكْذِيبًا لِمَنْ قَصَبَنِي
refutation of him who reviles me,
- 51
وَسَلَامَةً مِمَّنْ تَوَعَّدَنِي
and safety from him who threatens me.
- 52
وَوَفِّقْنِي لِطَاعَةِ مَنْ سَدَّدَنِي
Grant me success to obey him who points me straight,
- 53
وَمُتَابَعَةِ مَنْ أَرْشَدَنِي
and follow him who guides me right.
- 54
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 55
وَسَدِّدْنِي لِأَنْ أُعَارِضَ مَنْ غَشَّنِي بِالنُّصْحِ
point me straight to resist him who is dishonest toward me with good counsel,
- 56
وَأَجْزِيَ مَنْ هَجَرَنِي بِالْبِرِّ وَأُثِيبَ مَنْ حَرَمَنِي بِالْبَذْلِ
repay him who separates from me with gentle devotion, reward him who deprives me with free giving,
- 57
وَأُكَافِيَ مَنْ قَطَعَنِي بِالصِّلَةِ
recompense him who cuts me off with joining,
- 58
وَأُخَالِفَ مَنِ اغْتَابَنِي إِلَىٰ حُسْنِ الذِّكْرِ
oppose him who slanders me with excellent mention,
- 59
وَأَنْ أَشْكُرَ الْحَسَنَةَ وَأُغْضِيَ عَنِ السَّيِّئَةِ
give thanks for good, and shut my eyes to evil.
- 60
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 61
وَحَلِّنِي بِحِلْيَةِ الصَّالِحِينَ
adorn me with the adornment of the righteous,
- 62
وَأَلْبِسْنِي زِينَةَ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي بَسْطِ الْعَدْلِ
clothe me in the ornaments of the godfearing, through spreading justice,
- 63
وَكَظْمِ الْغَيْظِ وَإِطْفَاءِ النَّائِرَةِ وَضَمِّ أَهْلِ الْفُرْقَةِ
restraining rage, quenching the flame of hate, bringing together the people of separation,
- 64
وَإِصْلَاحِ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ وَإِفْشَاءِ الْعَارِفَةِ
correcting discord, spreading about good behaviour,
- 65
وَسَتْرِ الْعَائِبَةِ وَلِينِ الْعَرِيكَةِ
covering faults, mildness of temper,
- 66
وَخَفْضِ الْجَنَاحِ وَحُسْنِ السِّيرَةِ
lowering the wing, beauty of conduct,
- 67
وَسُكُونِ الرِّيحِ وَطِيبِ الْمُخَالَقَةِ
gravity of bearing, agreeableness in comportment,
- 68
وَالسَّبْقِ إِلَى الْفَضِيلَةِ وَإِيثَارِ التَّفَضُّلِ وَتَرْكِ التَّعْيِيرِ
precedence in reaching excellence, preferring bounteousness, refraining from condemnation,
- 69
وَالْإِفْضَالِ عَلَىٰ غَيْرِ الْمُسْتَحِقِّ وَالْقَوْلِ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنْ عَزَّ
bestowing bounty on the undeserving, speaking the truth, though it be painful,
- 70
وَاسْتِقْلَالِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِنْ كَثُرَ مِنْ قَوْلِي وَفِعْلِي
making little of the good in my words and deeds, though it be much,
- 71
وَاسْتِكْثَارِ الشَّرِّ وَإِنْ قَلَّ مِنْ قَوْلِي وَفِعْلِي
making much of the evil in my words and deeds, though it be little.
- 72
وَأَكْمِلْ ذٰلِكَ لِي بِدَوَامِ الطَّاعَةِ وَلُزُومِ الْجَمَاعَةِ
Perfect this for me through lasting obedience, holding fast to the community,
- 73
وَرَفْضِ أَهْلِ الْبِدَعِ وَمُسْتَعْمِلِ الرَّأْيِ الْمُخْتَرَعِ
rejecting the people of innovation and those who act on invented opinions.
- 74
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 75
وَاجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ رِزْقِكَ عَلَيَّ إِذَا كَبِرْتُ
appoint for me Thy widest provision in my old age,
- 76
وَأَقْوَىٰ قُوَّتِكَ فِيَّ إِذَا نَصِبْتُ
Thy strongest strength when I am exhausted.
- 77
وَلَا تَبْتَلِيَنِّي بِالْكَسَلِ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ
Try me not with laziness in worship of Thee,
- 78
وَلَا الْعَمَىٰ عَنْ سَبِيلِكَ وَلَا بِالتَّعَرُّضِ لِخِلَافِ مَحَبَّتِكَ
blindness toward Thy path, or undertaking what opposes love for Thee,
- 79
وَلَا مُجَامَعَةِ مَنْ تَفَرَّقَ عَنْكَ
joining with him who has separated himself from Thee,
- 80
وَلَا مُفَارَقَةِ مَنِ اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْكَ
or separating from him who has joined himself to Thee.
- 81
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَصُولُ بِكَ عِنْدَ الضَّرُورَةِ وَأَسْأَلُكَ عِنْدَ الْحَاجَةِ
O God, make me leap to Thee in times of distress, ask from Thee in needs,
- 82
وَأَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَيْكَ عِنْدَ الْمَسْكَنَةِ
and plead to Thee in misery.
- 83
وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالْاسْتِعَانَةِ بِغَيْرِكَ إِذَا اضْطُرِرْتُ
Tempt me not to seek help from other than Thee when I am distressed,
- 84
وَلَا بِالْخُضُوعِ لِسُؤَالِ غَيْرِكَ إِذَا افْتَقَرْتُ
to humble myself in asking from someone else when I am poor,
- 85
وَلَا بِالتَّضَرُّعِ إِلَىٰ مَنْ دُونَكَ إِذَا رَهِبْتُ
or to plead with someone less than Thee when I fear,
- 86
فَأَسْتَحِقَّ بِذٰلِكَ خِذْلَانَكَ
for then I would deserve Thy abandonment,
- 87
وَمَنْعَكَ وَإِعْرَاضَكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Thy withholding, and Thy turning away, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
- 88
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِي رَوْعِي مِنَ التَّمَنِّي وَالتَّظَنِّي وَالْحَسَدِ
O God, make the wishing, the doubt, and the envy which Satan throws into my heart
- 89
ذِكْرًا لِعَظَمَتِكَ
a remembrance of Thy mightiness,
- 90
وَتَفَكُّرًا فِي قُدْرَتِكَ
a reflection upon Thy power,
- 91
وَتَدْبِيرًا عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّكَ
and a devising against Thy enemy.
- 92
وَمَا أَجْرَىٰ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِي مِنْ لَفْظَةِ فُحْشٍ أَوْ هُجْرٍ
Make everything he causes to pass over my tongue — the indecent or ugly words,
- 93
أَوْ شَتْمِ عِرْضٍ أَوْ شَهَادَةِ بَاطِلٍ
the maligning of good repute, the false witness,
- 94
أَوِ اغْتِيَابِ مُؤْمِنٍ غَائِبٍ أَوْ سَبِّ حَاضِرٍ
the speaking ill of an absent man of faith or the reviling of one present,
- 95
وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذٰلِكَ نُطْقًا بِالْحَمْدِ لَكَ
and all things similar — a speech in praise of Thee,
- 96
وَإِغْرَاقًا فِي الثَّنَاءِ عَلَيْكَ
a pursual of eulogizing Thee,
- 97
وَذَهَابًا فِي تَمْجِيدِكَ
an excursion in magnifying Thee,
- 98
وَشُكْرًا لِنِعْمَتِكَ
a thanksgiving for Thy favour,
- 99
وَاعْتِرَافًا بِإِحْسَانِكَ
an acknowledgement of Thy beneficence,
- 100
وَإِحْصَاءً لِمِنَنِكَ
and an enumeration of Thy kindnesses.
- 101
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 102
وَلَا أُظْلَمَنَّ وَأَنْتَ مُطِيقٌ لِلدَّفْعِ عَنِّي
let me not be wronged while Thou canst repel from me,
- 103
وَلَا أَظْلِمَنَّ وَأَنْتَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى الْقَبْضِ مِنِّي
let me not do wrong while Thou art powerful over holding me back,
- 104
وَلَا أَضِلَّنَّ وَقَدْ أَمْكَنَتْكَ هِدَايَتِي
let me not be misguided while Thou art able to guide me,
- 105
وَلَا أَفْتَقِرَنَّ وَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ وُسْعِي
let me not be poor while with Thee is my plenty,
- 106
وَلَا أَطْغَيَنَّ وَمِنْ عِنْدِكَ وُجْدِي
let me not be insolent while from Thee comes my wealth.
- 107
اَللَّهُمَّ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَتِكَ وَفَدْتُ وَإِلَىٰ عَفْوِكَ قَصَدْتُ
O God, I come to Thy forgiveness, I go straight to Thy pardon,
- 108
وَإِلَىٰ تَجَاوُزِكَ اشْتَقْتُ وَبِفَضْلِكَ وَثِقْتُ
I yearn for Thy forbearance, and I trust in Thy bounty.
- 109
وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي مَا يُوجِبُ لِي مَغْفِرَتَكَ
But there is nothing with me to make me warrant Thy forgiveness,
- 110
وَلَا فِي عَمَلِي مَا أَسْتَحِقُّ بِهِ عَفْوَكَ
nothing in my works to make me merit Thy pardon,
- 111
وَمَا لِي بَعْدَ أَنْ حَكَمْتُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي إِلَّا فَضْلُكَ
nothing on my behalf after I judge my soul but Thy bounty,
- 112
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
so bless Muhammad and his Household
- 113
وَتَفَضَّلْ عَلَيَّ
and bestow Thy bounty upon me.
- 114
اَللَّهُمَّ وَأَنْطِقْنِي بِالْهُدَىٰ
O God, make my speech be guidance,
- 115
وَأَلْهِمْنِي التَّقْوَىٰ وَوَفِّقْنِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَزْكَىٰ
inspire me with reverential fear, give me success in that which is most pure,
- 116
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِمَا هُوَ أَرْضَىٰ
and employ me in what is most pleasing to Thee.
- 117
اَللَّهُمَّ اسْلُكْ بِيَ الطَّرِيقَةَ الْمُثْلَىٰ
O God, let me tread the most exemplary path
- 118
وَاجْعَلْنِي عَلَىٰ مِلَّتِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
and make me live and die in Thy creed.
- 119
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 120
وَمَتِّعْنِي بِالْاقْتِصَادِ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّدَادِ
give me to enjoy moderation, make me into one of the people of right behaviour,
- 121
وَمِنْ أَدِلَّةِ الرَّشَادِ وَمِنْ صَالِحِي الْعِبَادِ
the proofs of right conduct, and the servants of righteousness.
- 122
وَارْزُقْنِي فَوْزَ الْمَعَادِ وَسَلَامَةَ الْمِرْصَادِ
Provide me with triumph at the place of Return and safety from the Ambush.
- 123
اَللَّهُمَّ خُذْ لِنَفْسِكَ مِنْ نَفْسِي مَا يُخَلِّصُهَا
O God, take to Thyself from my soul what will purify it
- 124
وَأَبْقِ لِنَفْسِي مِنْ نَفْسِي مَا يُصْلِحُهَا
and leave for my soul that of my soul that will set it right,
- 125
فَإِنَّ نَفْسِي هَالِكَةٌ أَوْ تَعْصِمَهَا
for my soul will perish unless Thou preservest it.
- 126
اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عُدَّتِي إِنْ حَزِنْتُ
O God, Thou art my stores when I sorrow,
- 127
وَأَنْتَ مُنْتَجَعِي إِنْ حُرِمْتُ
Thou art my recourse when I am deprived,
- 128
وَبِكَ اسْتِغَاثَتِي إِنْ كَرِثْتُ
from Thee I seek aid when troubled.
- 129
وَعِنْدَكَ مِمَّا فَاتَ خَلَفٌ وَلِمَا فَسَدَ صَلَاحٌ
With Thee is a substitute for everything gone by, a correction for everything corrupted,
- 130
وَفِيمَا أَنْكَرْتَ تَغْيِيرٌ
and a change from everything Thou disapprovest.
- 131
فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ الْبَلَاءِ بِالْعَافِيَةِ وَقَبْلَ الطَّلَبِ بِالْجِدَةِ
Show kindness to me with well-being before affliction, wealth before asking,
- 132
وَقَبْلَ الضَّلَالِ بِالرَّشَادِ وَاكْفِنِي مَؤُونَةَ مَعَرَّةِ الْعِبَادِ
right conduct before misguidance; suffice me against the burden of shame toward the servants.
- 133
وَهَبْ لِي أَمْنَ يَوْمِ الْمَعَادِ وَامْنَحْنِي حُسْنَ الْإِرْشَادِ
Give me security on the Day of Return, and grant me excellent right guidance.
- 134
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 135
وَادْرَأْ عَنِّي بِلُطْفِكَ وَاغْذُنِي بِنِعْمَتِكَ
repel from me through Thy gentleness, feed me through Thy favour,
- 136
وَأَصْلِحْنِي بِكَرَمِكَ وَدَاوِنِي بِصُنْعِكَ
set me right through Thy generosity, heal me through Thy benefaction,
- 137
وَأَظِلَّنِي فِي ذَرَاكَ وَجَلِّلْنِي رِضَاكَ
shade me in Thy shelter, wrap me in Thy good pleasure,
- 138
وَوَفِّقْنِي إِذَا اشْتَكَلَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمُورُ لِأَهْدَاهَا
give me success to reach the most guided of affairs when affairs confuse me,
- 139
وَإِذَا تَشَابَهَتِ الْأَعْمَالُ لِأَزْكَاهَا
the purest of works when works seem similar,
- 140
وَإِذَا تَنَاقَضَتِ الْمِلَلُ لِأَرْضَاهَا
most pleasing to Thee of creeds when creeds conflict.
- 141
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 142
وَتَوِّجْنِي بِالْكِفَايَةِ وَسُمْنِي حُسْنَ الْوِلَايَةِ
crown me with sufficiency, place in me excellent guardianship,
- 143
وَهَبْ لِي صِدْقَ الْهِدَايَةِ وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي بِالسَّعَةِ
give me to guide correctly, tempt me not with plenty,
- 144
وَامْنَحْنِي حُسْنَ الدَّعَةِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ عَيْشِي كَدًّا كَدًّا
grant me excellent ease, make not my life toil and trouble,
- 145
وَلَا تَرُدَّ دُعَائِي عَلَيَّ رَدًّا
refuse not my supplication in rejection,
- 146
فَإِنِّي لَا أَجْعَلُ لَكَ ضِدًّا وَلَا أَدْعُو مَعَكَ نِدًّا
for I make none rival to Thee and I supplicate none with Thee as equal.
- 147
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 148
وَامْنَعْنِي مِنَ السَّرَفِ وَحَصِّنْ رِزْقِي مِنَ التَّلَفِ
hold me back from prodigality, fortify my provision against ruin,
- 149
وَوَفِّرْ مَلَكَتِي بِالْبَرَكَةِ فِيهِ
increase my possessions through blessing them,
- 150
وَأَصِبْ بِي سَبِيلَ الْهِدَايَةِ لِلْبِرِّ فِيمَا أُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ
set me upon the path of guidance through piety in what I spend.
- 151
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 152
وَاكْفِنِي مَؤُونَةَ الْاكْتِسَابِ
spare me the burden of earning,
- 153
وَارْزُقْنِي مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِسَابٍ
provide for me without reckoning,
- 154
فَلَا أَشْتَغِلَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ بِالطَّلَبِ
lest I be distracted from Thy worship through seeking,
- 155
وَلَا أَحْتَمِلَ إِصْرَ تَبِعَاتِ الْمَكْسَبِ
or carry the load of earning's ill results.
- 156
اَللَّهُمَّ فَأَطْلِبْنِي بِقُدْرَتِكَ مَا أَطْلُبُ
O God, bestow upon me what I seek through Thy power,
- 157
وَأَجِرْنِي بِعِزَّتِكَ مِمَّا أَرْهَبُ
grant me sanctuary from what I fear through Thy might.
- 158
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَصُنْ وَجْهِي بِالْيَسَارِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, save my face through ease,
- 159
وَلَا تَبْتَذِلْ جَاهِي بِالْإِقْتَارِ فَأَسْتَرْزِقَ أَهْلَ رِزْقِكَ
demean not my dignity through neediness, lest I seek provision from those whom Thou hast provided,
- 160
وَأَسْتَعْطِيَ شِرَارَ خَلْقِكَ فَأَفْتَتِنَ بِحَمْدِ مَنْ أَعْطَانِي وَأُبْتَلَىٰ بِذَمِّ مَنْ مَنَعَنِي وَأَنْتَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ وَلِيُّ الْإِعْطَاءِ وَالْمَنْعِ
or ask for bestowal from the worst of Thy creatures; then I would be tried by praising him who gave to me and afflicted with blaming him who held back from me, while Thou — not they — art patron of giving and holding back.
- 161
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 162
وَارْزُقْنِي صِحَّةً فِي عِبَادَةٍ
provide me with soundness in worship,
- 163
وَفَرَاغًا فِي زَهَادَةٍ
detachment in renunciation,
- 164
وَعِلْمًا فِي اسْتِعْمَالٍ وَوَرَعًا فِي إِجْمَالٍ
knowledge put into action, and abstinence in measure.
- 165
اَللَّهُمَّ اخْتِمْ بِعَفْوِكَ أَجَلِي
O God, seal my term with Thy pardon,
- 166
وَحَقِّقْ فِي رَجَاءِ رَحْمَتِكَ أَمَلِي
verify my expectation in hoping for Thy mercy,
- 167
وَسَهِّلْ إِلَىٰ بُلُوغِ رِضَاكَ سُبُلِي
smooth my paths to reach Thy good pleasure,
- 168
وَحَسِّنْ فِي جَمِيعِ أَحْوَالِي عَمَلِي
make my works good in all my states.
- 169
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 170
وَنَبِّهْنِي لِذِكْرِكَ فِي أَوْقَاتِ الْغَفْلَةِ
incite me to remember Thee in times of heedlessness,
- 171
وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِطَاعَتِكَ فِي أَيَّامِ الْمُهْلَةِ
employ me in Thy obedience in days of disregard,
- 172
وَانْهَجْ لِي إِلَىٰ مَحَبَّتِكَ سَبِيلًا سَهْلَةً
open a smooth road for me to Thy love,
- 173
أَكْمِلْ لِي بِهَا خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ
complete for me thereby the good of this world and the next.
- 174
اَللَّهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ
O God, and bless Muhammad and his Household,
- 175
كَأَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ قَبْلَهُ
the best Thou hast blessed any of Thy creatures before him
- 176
وَأَنْتَ مُصَلٍّ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَهُ
and wilt bless any of them after him.
- 177
وَآتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
And give to us in this world good, and in the next world good,
- 178
وَقِنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ
and protect me through Thy mercy from the chastisement of the Fire.
