Aamal Of Masjid Al Kufah

بِسْمِ الله وَبالله

In the Name of Allah and in Allah

وَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ

on the way of Allah

وَ عَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ

and the course of Allah’s Messenger

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

peace be upon him and his Household

اللّٰهُمَّ اَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلا مُبَارَكا

O Allah, (please do) enable me to reside blessedly

وَ اَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ.

and You are the best of those who enable to reside.

اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ

Allah is the Most Great.

وَ لا اِلَهَ اِلا اللّٰهُ

There is no god but Allah.

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

All praise be to Allah.

وَ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ

All glory be to Allah.

السَّلامُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ

Peace be upon our master the Messenger of Allah

مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ

Mu¦ammad son of `Abdullah

وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

and upon his immaculate progeny.

السَّلامُ عَلَى اَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Peace be upon the Commander of the Faithful

عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبِي طَالِبٍ

Ali the son of Abu Talib

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon him

وَ عَلَى مَجَالِسِهِ وَ مَشَاهِدِهِ

upon his sessions, upon his meeting-places

وَ مَقَامِ حِكْمَتِهِ وَ آثَارِ آبَائِهِ

upon the places that witnessed his wisdom, upon the traces of his forefathers

آدَمَ وَ نُوحٍ وَ اِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ اِسْمَاعِيلَ

Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Ishmael

وَ تِبْيَانِ [بُنْيَانِ‏] بَيِّنَاتِهِ

and upon the places that witnessed the presentations of his evidences

السَّلامُ عَلَى الْاِمَامِ الْحَكِيمِ الْعَدْلِ

Peace be upon the Imam: the wise, the just

الصِّدِّيقِ الْاَكْبَرِ الْفَارُوقِ بِالْقِسْطِ

the grandest veracious, and the fair distinguisher

الَّذِي فَرَّقَ اللّٰهُ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْحَقِّ وَ الْبَاطِلِ

by whom Allah distinguished the right from the wrong

وَ الْكُفْرِ وَ الْاِيمَانِ

atheism from (true) belief

وَ الشِّرْكِ وَ التَّوْحِيدِ

and polytheism from monotheism

لِيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ

so that he who would perish might perish by clear proof

وَ يَحْيَا مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ

and he who would live might live by clear proof.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ اَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

I bear witness that you are verily the commander of the faithful,

وَ خَاصَّةُ نَفْسِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ

the elite of the selves of the select ones

وَ زَيْنُ الصِّدِّيقِينَ

the adornment of the veracious ones

وَ صَابِرُ الْمُمْتَحَنِينَ

and the most steadfast among the tried ones

وَ اَنَّكَ حَكَمُ اللّٰهِ فِي اَرْضِهِ

and that you are verily the judge of Allah on His lands

وَ قَاضِي اَمْرِهِ

the decider according to His orders

وَ بَابُ حِكْمَتِهِ

the door to His wisdom

وَ عَاقِدُ عَهْدِهِ

the maker of His pledge

وَ النَّاطِقُ بِوَعْدِهِ

the spokesman of His promise

وَ الْحَبْلُ الْمَوْصُولُ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ عِبَادِهِ

the rope that is connected between His servants and Him

وَ كَهْفُ النَّجَاةِ

the haven of redemption

وَ مِنْهَاجُ التُّقَى

the course of piety

وَ الدَّرَجَةُ الْعُلْيَا

the most elevated rank

وَ مُهَيْمِنُ الْقَاضِي الْاَعْلَى

and the executor of the laws of the Most Exalted Judge

يَا اَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

O Commander of the Faithful

بِكَ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ زُلْفَى

through you do I seek close nearness to Allah

اَنْتَ وَلِيِّي وَ سَيِّدِي

for you are my chief, master

وَ وَسِيلَتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

and means (to Allah) in this world as well as the Hereafter

اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ

Allah is the Most Great

هَذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِذِ بِاللّٰهِ

This is the situation of him who seeks refuge with Allah

وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيبِ اللّٰهِ

with Mu¦ammad the most beloved by Allah

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

may Allah’s peace be upon him and his Household

وَ بِوِلايَةِ اَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

with the (Divinely commissioned) leadership of the Commander of the Faithful

وَ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ الصَّادِقِينَ

and with the Imams; the well- guided, the veracious,

النَّاطِقِينَ الرَّاشِدِينَ

the spokesmen (of Allah), the orthodox,

الَّذِينَ اَذْهَبَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ

from whom Allah removed filth

وَ طَهَّرَهُمْ تَطْهِيرا

and He purified them with thorough purification

رَضِيتُ بِهِمْ اَئِمَّةً

I accept them as leaders

وَ هُدَاةً وَ مَوَالِيَّ

guides, and masters

سَلَّمْتُ لِاَمْرِ اللّٰهِ

I succumb to the acts of Allah

لا اُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئا

I associate none with Him

وَ لا اَتَّخِذُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ وَلِيّا

and I do not betake any master other than Allah.

كَذَبَ الْعَادِلُونَ بِاللّٰهِ

Truly liars are those who set up equals with Allah

وَ ضَلُّوا ضَلالا بَعِيدا

as they have certainly strayed off in remote error

حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ وَ اَوْلِيَاءُ اللّٰهِ

Sufficient for me are Allah and the saints of Allah.

اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلَهَ اِلا اللّٰهُ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah

وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ

alone without having any partner

وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ

And I bear witness that Mu¦ammad is His servant and Messenger

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Household

وَ اَنَّ عَلِيّا وَ الْاَئِمَّةَ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ

and that `Ali and the well- guided Imams from his progeny, peace be upon them all

اَوْلِيَائِي وَ حُجَّةُ اللّٰهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ.

are my masters and the arguments of Allah against His created beings.

السَّلامُ عَلَى عِبَادِ اللّٰهِ الصَّالِحِينَ الرَّاشِدِينَ

Peace be upon the righteous, orthodox servants of Allah

الَّذِينَ اَذْهَبَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ

from whom Allah has removed filth and purified them a

وَ طَهَّرَهُمْ تَطْهِيرا

thorough purification

وَ جَعَلَهُمْ اَنْبِيَاءَ مُرْسَلِينَ

He also made them Prophets and Messengers

وَ حُجَّةً عَلَى الْخَلْقِ اَجْمَعِينَ

and set them as arguments against all the created beings.

وَ سَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ

Peace be upon the Messengers

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

and all praise be to Allah the Lord of the worlds.

ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

This is the arrangement of the Mighty, Knowing Lord

سَلامٌ عَلَى نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ.

Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations.

نَحْنُ عَلَى وَصِيَّتِكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

O master of the believers, we are abiding by your precept

الَّتِي اَوْصَيْتَ بِهَا ذُرِّيَّتَكَ

that you provided to your offspring

مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ [وَ الصَّادِقِينَ‏]

the Messengers and the veracious ones

وَ نَحْنُ مِنْ شِيعَتِكَ

And we are among your adherents

وَ شِيعَةِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

and among the adherents of our Prophet Muhammad

صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

peace of Allah be upon him and his Household

وَ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

and upon you as well as all the Messengers,

وَ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ وَ الصَّادِقِينَ [الصِّدِّيقِينَ‏]

Prophets, and veracious ones

وَ نَحْنُ عَلَى مِلَّةِ اِبْرَاهِيمَ

And we are also following the doctrine of Abraham

وَ دِينِ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ الْاُمِّيِّ

the religion of Muhammad the Meccan Prophet

وَ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ

and the religion of the well- guided Imams

وَ وِلايَةِ مَوْلانَا عَلِيٍّ اَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

and we are loyal to the leadership of `Ali, the Commander of the Faithful

السَّلامُ عَلَى الْبَشِيرِ النَّذِيرِ

Peace be upon the bearer of glad tidings (for the believers) and the warner

صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ

May Allah’s peace

وَ رَحْمَتُهُ وَ رِضْوَانُهُ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

mercy, pleasure, and blessings be upon him

وَ عَلَى وَصِيِّهِ وَ خَلِيفَتِهِ

and upon his successor and vicegerent

الشَّاهِدِ لِلَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

the witness on Allah’s creatures after him (the Prophet)

عَلِيٍّ اَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

`Ali, the Commander of the Faithful

الصِّدِّيقِ الْاَكْبَرِ

the grandest veracious

وَ الْفَارُوقِ الْمُبِينِ

and the clear distinguisher (between the right and the wrong)

الَّذِي اَخَذْتَ بَيْعَتَهُ [اُخِذَتْ بَيْعَتُهُ‏] عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ

whom You have ordered the peoples to swear allegiance to

رَضِيتُ بِهِمْ اَوْلِيَاءَ وَ مَوَالِيَّ وَ حُكَّاما

I thus accept them as masters, leaders, and rulers

فِي نَفْسِي وَ وُلْدِي [وَلَدِي‏]

over myself, my progeny

وَ اَهْلِي وَ مَالِي وَ قِسْمِي

my family members, my property, whatever sustenance You decide for me,

وَ حِلِّي وَ اِحْرَامِي

whatever is legal or illegal for me to do

وَ اِسْلامِي وَ دِينِي

my being Muslim, my religion,

وَ دُنْيَايَ وَ آخِرَتِي

my worldly life, my Next Life

وَ مَحْيَايَ وَ مَمَاتِي

my being kept alive, and my death

أَنْتُمْ الأَئِمَّةِ فِي الكِتابِ

You (the Infallible Imams) are indeed the Imams whom are mentioned in the (Holy) Book

وَفَصْلُ المَقامِ

and you are the clear leaders in all situations

وَفَصْلُ الخِطابِ

the clear judges

وَأَعْيُنُ الحَيِّ الَّذِي لا يَنامُ

the eyes of the Ever-living Lord Who never sleeps

وَأَنْتُمْ حُكَماءُ الله

and the judging representatives of Allah

وَبِكُمْ حَكَمَ الله

Through you has Allah judged

وَبِكُمْ عُرِفَ حَقُّ الله

and though you was the right of Allah recognized.

لا إِلهَ إِلاّ الله

There is no god but Allah.

مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ

Mu¦ammad is the messenger of Allah

أَنْتُمْ نُورُ الله مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِينا وَمِنْ خَلْفِنا

You are the Light of Allah that lies before and behind us

أَنْتُمْ سُنَّةُ الله الَّتِي بِها سَبَقَ القَضاء

You are the instructions of Allah that He has decided before all things.

يا أمِيرَ المُؤْمِنِينَ

O Commander of the Faithful,

أَنا لَكُمْ مُسَلِّمٌ تَسْلِيماً

I submit to you with thorough submission

لا أُشْرِكُ بِالله شَيْئاً

I never associate with Allah anything [or anyone],

وَلا أَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِهِ وَلِيَّاً

and I never betake a master other than Him

الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي هَدانِي بِكُمْ

All praise be to Allah Who has guided me to this

وَما كُنْتُ لاِ هْتَدِيَ لَوْلا أَنْ هَدانِي الله

and I should never have been guided if Allah had not guided me

الله أَكْبَرُ الله أَكْبَرُ

Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great

الحَمْدُ للهِ عَلى ماهَدانا

All praise be to Allah for that to which He has guided us
