Dhuhr & Asr Taqeebaat

Dh'ur and Asr TaqeebatRecited after the obligatory salat. — Before zuhr — Dh'ur Taqeeb — Dhu'r more. — Asr Taqeeb — Asr more — Common /Res — 1.From Misbah al-Mutahajjid:

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٱلْحَلِيمُ

la ilaha illa allahu alʿazimu alhalimu

There is no god save Allah, the All-great and Most Forbearing.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْكَرِيـمِ

la ilaha illa allahu rabbu alʿarshi alkarimu

There is no god save Allah, the Lord of the Throne of Honor.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمينَ

alhamdu lillahi rabbi alʿalamina

All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka mujibati rahmatika

O Allah, I ask You for the motives of Your mercy,

وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ

wa ʿaza'ima maghfiratika

the determining causes of Your forgiveness,

وَٱلْغَنيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ

walghanimata min kulli birrin

the advantage of each act of kindness,

وَٱلسَّلاَمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ

walssalamata min kulli ithmin

and the safeguarding against each and every sin.

اَللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْباً إِلاَّ غَفَرْتَهُ

allahumma la tadaʿ li dhanban illa ghafartahu

O Allah, (please) do not leave any of my offenses unforgiven,

وَلاَ هَمّاً إِلاَّ فَرَّجْتَهُ

wa la hamman illa farrajtahu

any of my misfortunes unrelieved,

وَلاَ سُقْماً إِلاَّ شَفَيْتَهُ

wa la suqman illa shafaytahu

any of my ailments unhealed,

وَلاَ عَيْباً إِلاَّ سَتَرْتَهُ

wa la ʿayban illa satartahu

any of my defects uncovered,

وَلاَ رِزْقاً إِلاَّ بَسَطْتَهُ

wa la rizqan illa basattahu

any (item of my) sustenance not including (me),

وَلاَ خَوْفاً إِلاَّ آمَنْتَهُ

wa la khawfan illa amantahu

any fear (that I experience) unsecured,

وَلاَ سُوءاً إِلاَّ صَرَفْتَهُ

wa la su'an illa saraftahu

any evil (that comes upon me) uncontrollable,

وَلاَ حَاجَةً هِيَ لَكَ رِضاً وَلِيَ فيهَا صَلاَحٌ إِلاَّ قَضَيْتَهَا

wa la hajatan hiya laka ridan wa liya fiha salahun illa qadaytaha

and any need that achieves Your satisfaction and my benefit unanswered.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

آمينَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمينَ

amina rabba alʿalamina

(please) Respond, O Lord of the worlds.

2.Repeat the following litany reportedfrom Imam Ja'far Sadiq (peace be upon him)ten times:

بِٱللَّهِ ٱعْتَصَمْتُ

billahi iʿtasamtu

With Allah I seek protection,

وَبِٱللَّهِ أَثِقُ

wa billahi athiqu

in Allah I trust,

وَعَلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ أَتَوَكَّلُ

wa ʿala allahi atawakkalu

and upon Allah I rely.

3. Dua from Imam Musa Al Kazim(as):

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنْ عَظُمَتْ ذُنُوبِي فَأَنْتَ أَعْظَمُ

Allahumma in ʿazumat dhunubi fa-anta aʿzamu

O Allah! if my sins are enormous, surely You are more Tremendous.

وَإِنْ كَبُرَ تَفْرِيطِي فَأَنْتَ أَكْبَرُ

wa in kabura tafriti fa-anta akbaru

If my transgression has exceeded all limits, surely You are Greater.

وَإِنْ دَامَ بُخْلي فَأَنْتَ أَجْوَدُ

wa in dama bukhli fa-anta ajwadu

If my stinginess has perpetuated, surely You are more Generous.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي عَظيمَ ذُنُوبِي بِعَظِيمِ عَفْوِكَ

allahumma ighfir li ʿazima dhunubi biʿazimi ʿafwika

O Allah, (please) forgive my enormous sins out of Your tremendous pardon,

وَكَثيرَ تَفْرِيطِي بِظَاهِرِ كَرَمِكَ

wa kathira tafriti bizahiri karamika

forgive my limitless transgression out of Your obvious generosity,

وَٱقْمَعْ بُخْلِي بِفَضْلِ جُودِكَ

waqmaʿ bukhli bifadli judika

and impede my stinginess by the virtue of Your magnanimity.

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا بِنَا مِنْ نِعْمَة فَمِنْكَ

allahumma ma bina min niʿmatin faminka

O Allah, You are certainly the source of each and every favor that covers us.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

la ilaha illa anta

There is no god save You.

أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka

I pray Your forgiveness and I repent before You.

Recite Surah Naba — 4.Syeda Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) Dua after Dhuhr Salat — Recitations :-5 |Imam Ridha(as)6 |& 7 |8 Imam Ali(as) |9. Ya Same Kulle Saut|

اَللّهُمّ صَلّ عَلٰي مُحَمّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمّدٍ وَ عَجّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ.

6.Imam Ridha (peace be upon him)is reported to have said, 'When you finish the Dhuhr Prayer, raise your hands and say:'

اَللّهُمَّ اِنّي اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِجُودِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ،

Allahuma Inni Ataqqarabu Elaika B-Jodik Wa-Karamik,

O Allah, I seek closeness towards you through your goodness and generosity,

وَاَتَقرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّد عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ،

Wa Ataqarabu Elaika B Mohammed Abdik Wa-Rasoolik,

and I closeness towards you through Muhammad; your servant and messenger,

وَاَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِمَلائِكَتِكَ الْمُقَرَّبينَ وَاَنْبِيَائِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ،

Wa Ataqarabu Elaika B Malaikatik Al Moqarabeen Wa Anbiyaik Wa Rosolik,

and I seek closeness towards you through your closest most dearest angles, prophets and apostles;

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّد عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ وَعَلى آلِ مُحَمَّد،

An Tosali Ala Mohammed Abdik Wa Rasoolik Wa Ala Aali Mohammed,

That to send your blessings onto Muhammed your servant and messenger and onto Muhammad's progeny,

وَاْنَ تُقيلَني عَثْرَتي وَتَسْتُرَ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبي وَتَغْفِرَها لي،

Wa An Tqilni Asrati Wa-Tastor Ala Znoobi Wa Tagfirha Lee

That so you let go of what I have stumbled upon and that you cover my sins and you forgive them for me

وَتَقْضِيَ لي حَوائجي وَلا تُعَذِّبْني بِقَبيحٍ كانَ مِنّي،

Wa Taqdi Lee Hawaeiji Wa La Toazbni B Qabeehin Kaan Min-ni

and grant me my needs and do not torment me due to the filth of what was done by me,

فَاِنَّ عَفْوَكَ وَجُودَكَ يَسَعُني،

Fa Inna Afwaka Wa Joodak Yasaoni

For your mercy and generosity suffices me

اِنَّكَ على كُلِّ شَيء قَديرٌ.

Innaka Ala Kol Shai-in Qadeer

As you are capable to do all things

يَا اَهْلَ التَّقْوٰى وَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ اَنْتَ مَوْلَايَ وَ سَيِّدِيْ فَارْزُقْنِيْ اَنْتَ خَيْرٌ لِيْ مِنْ اَبِيْ وَ اُمِّيْ وَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ بِيْ اِلَيْكَ فَقْرٌ وَ فَاقَةٌ وَ اَنْتَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَ اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰى اِخْوَانِهِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الْاَئـِمَّةِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ وَ تَسْتَجِيْبَ دُعَائِيْ وَ تَرْحَمَ تَضَرُّعِيْ وَ اصْرِفْ عَنِّيْ اَنْوَاعَ الْبَلَاءِ يَا رَحْمٰنُ.

Yaa Ahlat Taqwaa Wal Maghferate Yaa Arhamar Raahemeena Anta Mawlaaya Wa Sayyedee Far Zuqnee Anta Khayrun Lee Min Abee Wa Ummee Wa Menan Naase Ajma-E’ena Bee Elayka Faqrun Wa Faaqatun Wa Anta Ghaniyyun A’nnee As-Aloka Be-Wajhekal Kareeme Wa As-Aloka An Tosalleya A’laa Mohammadin Wa Aale Mohammadin Wa A’laa Ikhwaanehin Nabiyyeena Wal A-Immatit Taahereena Wa Tastajeeba Do-A’aa-Ee Wa Tarhama Tazarro-E’e Was Rif A’nnee Anwaa-A’l Balaa-E Yaa Rahmaan.

O the worthiest of being feared and the Lord of forgiveness! O most Merciful! You are my Master and my Lord, provide me sustenance as You are to me better than my father and my mother and all the people. Unto You I am poor and needy, and You are needless. I ask You by the name of Your generous face, and I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and upon his brothers, the Prophets, and the pure Imams, and to accept my prayers, and have mercy upon my acquiescence, and take away from me all sorts of tribulations, O Beneficent!

8.Imam Ali(as) prayer after noon prayer

« اللّهُمَّ ، إنِّي أَتَقَرَّبً إلَيَْكَ بِجُودِكَ ، وَكَرَمِكَ ، وَأَتَقَرَّبُ إلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ ، وَأَتَقَرَّبُ إلَيْكَ بِمَلَائِكَتِكَ المُقَرَّبِينَ ، وَأَنْبِيَائِكَ المُرْسَلِينَ ، وَبِكَ.

« O Allah, I draw near to You with Your generosity and I draw near to You through Muhammad Your servant and Messenger, and I draw near to You with Your close angels, Your messenger prophets, and with You.

اللّهُمَّ ، أَنْتَ الغَنِّى عَنِّي ، وَبي الفَاقَةُ إلَيْكَ ، وَأَنْتَ الغَنِيُ ، وَأَنَا الفقيرُ

O God, You are the One who is needless of me, and I am in need of You, and You are the Rich, and I am poor.

إلَيْكَ أقلْتني مِنْ عَثْرَتي ، وَسَتَرْتَ عَلَيَّ ذُنُوبي ، فَاقْضِ اليَوْمَ حاجتي ، ولا تُعَذّبْني بِقَبِيحِ ما تَعْلَمُ مِنِّي ، بَلْ عَفْوُكَ وَجُودُكَ يَسَعُني .. »

You have lifted me up from my stumble, and covered my sins, so fulfill my need today, and do not torture me due to what is ugly that you know of me, but your forgiveness and your presence are enough for me.. »

« يا أَهْلَ التَقْوَى ، وَيَا أَهْلَ المَغْفِرَةِ ، يا بِرُّ يا رَحِيمُ ، أَنْتَ أَبرُّ بي مِنْ أَبي ، وَأُمِّي ، وَمِنْ جَمِيعِ الخَلَائِقِ ، إقْبَلْني بِقَضَاءِ حَاجَتي ، مُجَاباً دُعَائي ، مَرْحُوماً صَوْتي ، قَدْ كَشَفْتَ أَنْوَاعَ البَلَاءِ عَنِّي .. »

"O people of piety, O people of forgiveness, O righteousness, O merciful, you are more honorable to me than my father, my mother, and all creatures. Accept me by fulfilling my needs and answering my supplications.” Have mercy on my voice, you have revealed all kinds of afflictions from me"

9.Invocation "Ya Samia Kulle Saut"

يا سامِعَ كُلِّ صَوْتٍ ،يا جامِعَ (كُلِّ فَوْتٍ) ،يا بارِئَ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ ،

O' He who hear all voice, O' He who gathered every thing, O' He who created soul after death,

يا باعِثُ ،يا وارِثُ ،يا سَيِّدَ السَّادَةِ ،يا إِلهَ الْآلِهَةِ ،

O' the causer, O' the Inheritor, O' master of the masters, O' God of gods,

يا جَبَّارَ الْجَبابِرَةِ ،يا مَلِكَ الدُّنْيا وَالْآخِرَةِ ،

O' The Mighty over the oppressors, O' The king of this world and the Hereafter,

يا رَبَّ الْأَرْبابِ ، يا مَلِكَ الْمُلُوكِ

O' the Lord of the lords, O' the King of the kings,

يا بَطَّاشُ ، يا ذَا الْبَطْشِ الشَّديدِ ، يا فَعَّالاً لِما يُريدُ ،

O' the vigorous, O' He who attain extreme vigorous, O' He who did what He wishes,

يا مُحْصِيَ عَدَدِ الْأَنْفاسِ وَنَقْلِ الْأَقْدامِ ،

O' He who knows the number of breaths and movement of feet,

يا مَنِ السِّرُّ عِنْدَهُ عَلانِيَةٌ ،يا مُبْدِئُ ، يا مُعيدُ .

O' He who to Him all secrets are visible, O' the starter, O' He who returns every thing.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ عَلى خِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ ،وَبِحَقِّهِمُ الَّذي أَوْجَبْتَ لَهُمْ عَلى نَفْسِكَ ،

I requested from You by the sake of your right over the best among Your creatures and for the sake of their right you have made incumbent on Yourself

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ ،وَأَنْ تَمُنَّ عَلَيَّ السَّاعَةَ السَّاعَةَ بِفِكاكِ رَقَبَتي مِنَ النَّارِ ،وَأَنْجِزْ لِوَلِيِّكَ وَابْنِ نَبِيِّكَ الدَّاعي إِلَيْكَ بِإِذْنِكَ ،

to send Your blessing on Muhammad and members of his house and to grant me the rescue of my neck from the Hell fire, execute for Your good friends from the descendant of Your Prophet, the callers to Your course with Your permission,

وَأَمينِكَ في خَلْقِكَ ،وَعَيْنِكَ في عِبادِكَ ،وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلى خَلْقِكَ ،عَلَيْهِ صَلَواتُكَ وَبَرَكاتُكَ وَعْدَهُ .

Your trustee among Your creatures, Your sight among Your servants, Your proof among Your creatures, may Your peace and blessing be upon him.

أَللَّهُمَّ أَيِّدْهُ بِنَصْرِكَ ،وَانْصُرْ عَبْدَكَ ،وَقَوِّ أَصْحابَهُ وَصَبِّرْهُمْ ،

O' Allah! Support him with Your assistance and assist Your servant, empowered his companions and grant them patience

وَاجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطاناً نَصيراً ،وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُ ،وَأَمْكِنْهُ مِنْ أَعْدائِكَ وَأَعْداءِ رَسُولِكَ ،يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ .

Open for them a protected authority and hasten his relief, let him prevail over Yours and Your Prophet's enemies, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful.

The Post-Afternoon ('Asr) Prayer Litanies.

2. Post Asr dua as is quoted from Misbah al-Mutahajjid:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

astaghfiru allaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa

I pray the forgiveness of Allah; there is no god save Him,

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ

alhayyu alqayyumu

the Ever-living, the Self-Subsisting,

ٱلرَّحْمٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

alrrahmani alrrahimu

the All-compassionate, the All-merciful,

ذُو ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ

dhu aljalali wal-ikrami

and the Lord of Majesty and Honor.

وَ أَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيَّ

wa as'aluhu an yatuba ʿalayya

And I ask Him to accept my repentance,

تَوْبَةَ عَبْدٍ ذَلِيلٍ خَاضِعٍ

tawbata ʿabdin dhalilin khadiʿin

like His acceptance of the repentance of a slave who is submissive, acquiescent,

فَقِيرٍ بَائِسٍ

faqirin ba'isin

poor, miserable,

مِسْكِينٍ مُسْتَكِينٍ مُسْتَجِيرٍ

miskinin mustakinin mustajirin

despondent, dejected, seeking refuge (with Him),

لاَ يَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِهِ نَفْعَاً وَلاَ ضَرّاً

la yamliku linafsihi nafʿan wa la darran

not controlling for himself any harm or profit,

وَلاَ مَوْتاً وَلاَ حَيَاةً وَلاَ نُشُوراً

wa la mawtan wa la hayatan wa la nushuran

and not controlling death nor life nor raising (the dead) to life.

3. You may then say the following supplicatory prayer:

ا َللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَشْبَعُ

allahumma inni aʿudhu bika min nafsin la tashbaʿu

O Allah, I surely seek Your protection against a self that never has enough,

وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لاَ يَخْشَعُ

wa min qalbin la yakhshaʿu

a heart that does not feel apprehension,

وَمِنْ عِلْمٍ لاَ يَنْفَعُ

wa min ʿilmin la yanfaʿu

knowledge that does not avail,

وَمِنْ صَلاَةٍ لاَ تُرْفَعُ

wa min salatin la turfaʿu

a prayer that is not accepted,

وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لاَ يُسْمَعُ

wa min duʿa'in la yusmaʿu

and a supplication that is not responded.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ ٱلْيُسْرَ بَعْدَ ٱلْعُسْرِ

allahumma inni as'aluka alyusra baʿda alʿusri

O Allah, I surely beseech You for easiness after difficulty,

وَٱلْفَرَجَ بَعْدَ ٱلْكَرْبِ

walfaraja baʿda alkarbi

relief after misfortune,

وَٱلرَّخَاءَ بَعْدَ ٱلشِّدَّةِ

walrrakha'a baʿda alshshiddati

and comfort after hardship.

اَللَّهُمَّ مَا بِنَا مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فَمِنْكَ

allahumma ma bina min niʿmatin faminka

O Allah, You are certainly the source of each and every favor that covers us.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

la ilaha illa anta

There is no god save You.

أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ

astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka

I pray Your forgiveness and repent before You.

4.ReciteSura Asr — 5. Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) is reported as saying: Anyone who implores Almighty Allah's forgiveness(i.e. astaghfirullaha) seventy timesafter the `Asr Prayer will have seven hundred of his sins forgiven. — 6.Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (al-Jawad) (peace be upon him) is also reported as saying: Anyone who recitesSurah al-Qadr (No. 97) ten timesafter the `Asr Prayer will be granted the reward of the deeds of all creatures on that day. — 7.From Sahifa Radhvia

حَمْدًا لِلهِ.

hamdan lillaahe.

Praise is for Allah.

8."After performing Asr prayerseek forgiveness from Allah seventy-seven times (77) — 9.ReciteSyeda Fatima Zehra (sa) Dua after Asr Salat From Sahifa Fatimiya — 10.Dua 'Asharaatis also recommended and the best time for this supplication is the time after the `Asr Prayers on Fridays. — 11.Another Asr Dua "Allhumma Rabis samawat was sab"

اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمٰوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَ رَبَّ الْاَرَضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَ مَا تَحْتَهُنَّ وَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

"Oh Allah! The Lord of seven heavens, and the Lord of seven earths, and whatever is in them, and whatever is between them, and whatever is beneath them, and the Lord of tremendous throne.

وَ رَبَّ جِبْرَآئِيْلَ وَ مِيْكَائِيْلَ وَ اِسْرَافِيْلَ وَ رَبَّ السَّبْعِ الْمَثَانِيْ وَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَ رَبَّ مُـحَمَّدٍ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهٖ خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

And the Lord of Gabriel, Michael and Israfeel, and the Lord of Sab-e-Masani (surah Al-Fateha), and the Lord of tremendous Quran; and the Lord of Muhammad, the l

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْاَعْظَمِ الَّذِيْ بِهِ تَقُوْمُ السَّمٰوَاتُ وَ الْاَرْضُ وَ بِهٖ تُـحْيِي الْمَوْتٰى وَ تَرْزُقُ الْاَحْيَا وَ تُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ الْمُجْتَمَعِ بَيْنَ الْمُتَفَرِّقِ وَ بِهٖ اَحْصَيْتَ عَدَدَ الْآجَالِ وَ وَزْنَ الْـجِبَالِ وَ كِيْلَ الْبِحَارِ

I ask Thee by Thy mightiest name, by Whom heavens and earth are sustained, and by Whom the dead are given life and the living are provided with sustenance, and the gathered, and the scattered are gathered, and by Whom are encompassed the number of the spans of life, and the weight of mountains, and the measure of oceans.

اَسْاَلُكَ يَا مَنْ هُوَ كَذٰلِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا.

Oh one! Who are like this, I ask Thee to Shower unbounded blessing on Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and do for me such and such (in the place of ‘such and such’ ask for you need)."

12.Additonal Asr dua

--- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ وَفَكَاكَ خِيرَتِي، أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمَنَا وَتَتُوبَ عَلَيْنَا وَتَتَوَفَّنَا غَيْرَ مَفْتُونِينَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

allaahumma innee as-alukat’t’ayyibaati wa tarkal munkaraati wa fi’-kak khayraati an taghfira lanaa wa tarh’amanaa wa tatooba a’laynaa wa tawaffanaa ghayra maftoonin birah’matika yaa arh’amar raah’imeen

O Allah, I ask you to make me do pious deeds, and that which is lawful, prevent me from ding that which is forbidden, let me do that which is good; protect us have pity on us, admit us to your mercy, and cause us to die without ever having been seduced to evil, by your mercy, O the most merciful

13. Invocation of Imam Kazim (a.s.) after Asr prayers for the Reappearance of Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.)

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،اَلْاَوَّلُ وَالْاٰخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُالْبَاطِنُ،

You are God, there is no any other deity except You, the first and the last, the apparent, the Inward,

وَاَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،اِلَيْكَ زِيَادَةُ الْاَشْيَاۤءِ وَنُقْصَانُهَا،

You are God, there is no any other deity except You, unto You the increase and decrease of all things,

وَاَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،خَلَقْتَ الْخَلْقَ بِغَيْرِ مَعُوْنَةٍ مِنْ غَيْرِكَ،وَلَاحَاجَةٍ اِلَيْهِمْ،

You are God, there is no any other deity except You, You create the creations without helping hand from other than You and You are not in need of them;

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،مِنْكَ الْمَشِيَّةُ وَاِلَيْكَ الْبَدْءُ۔

You are God, there is no any other deity except You, all wishes from You and unto You all the initiation.

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،قَبْلَ الْقَبْلِ وَخَالِقُ الْقَبْلِ،

You are God there is no any other deity except You, before the previous and the creator of the previous,

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤاِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،بَعْدَ الْبَعْدِ وَخَالِقُ الْبَعْدِ،

You are God there is no any deity except You, after afterward the creator of afterward,

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،تَمْحُوْ مَا تَشَاۤءُ وَتُثْبِتُ وَعِنْدَكَ اُمُّ الْكِتَابِ،

You are God there is no any deity except You, You erase and establish what ever You wishes and with You the essence of the Book,

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْتَ،غَايَةُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَوَارِثُهُ،

You are God there is no any other deity except You, the Goal and the Inheritor of every thing,

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،لَايَعْزُبُ عَنْكَ الدَّقِيْقُ وَلَا الْجَلِيْلُ،

You are God there is no any other deity except You, both small and mighty are not far away from You,

اَنْتَ اللهُ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،لَايَخْفٰى عَلَيْكَ اللُّغَاتُ،وَلَاتَتَشَابَهُ عَلَيْكَ الْاَصْوَاتُ۔

You are God there is no any other deity except You, there is no any language hidden to You and voices are not similar to You.

كُلَّ يَوْمٍ اَنْتَ فِيْ شَاْنٍ،لَايَشْغَلُكَ شَاْنٌ عَنْ شَاْنٍ،عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَاَخْفٰى،دَيَّانُ الدِّيْنِ،مُدَبِّرُ الْاُمُوْرِ،

Every day You are at Your duty and a duty did not disturb You from another, the Knower of all hidden and concealed things, the owner of Religion, the director of all things,

بَاعِثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُوْرِ،مُحْيِ الْعِظَامِ وَهِيَ رَمِيْمٌ،

He who raises those in the graves, He who gave life to bone after they have became decayed.

اَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُوْنِ الْمَخْزُوْنِ،اَلْحَيِّ الْقَيُّوْمِ،اَلَّذِيْ لَايَخِيْبُ مَنْ سَاَلَكَ بِهِ،اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ،

I requested from You by Your sheltered Name, the Eternal the Everlasting, who did not disappoint who ever call Him by His name, to send blessing on Muhammad and his family

وَاَنْ تُعَجِّلَ فَرَجَ الْمُنْتَقِمِ لَكَ مِنْ اَعْدَاۤئِكَ،وَاَنْجِزْلَهُ مَا وَعَدْتَهُ،يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ۔

and hasten the reappearance of Your retaliator from Your enemies and execute for him all You have promised him, O' the possessor of Magnificence and Honour.

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِسُبْحَانَ اللهِ والْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلا إلهَ إلاَّ اللهُ واللهُ أَكْبَرُوَلا حَوْلَ ولا قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ باللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ

"Glory be to Allah, all praise is due to Him! There is no god but Allah.Allah is the greatest; and there is no might and no strength but from Allah, the most superior, the All-tremendous.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإبْكَارِ فَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ

Glory be to Allah at morning and evening.Glorify His purity when you enter upon the time of evening and morning.

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّموَاتِ والأَرْضِ وَعَشِيّاً وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عمَّا يَصِفُونَ

And to Him belongs praise in the heavens and the earth, at night fall and mid-day.Glory be to Allah and all honour for He is free from the stories ascribed (about Him).

وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Peace be on His apostles. And all praise rightly belongs to Allah – Lord of the worlds.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْمُلْكِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ سُبْحَانَ ذِي العِزَّةِ والْجَبَرُوتِ سُبْحَان الحَيّ الَّذِي لا يَمُوتُ

Glory be to possessor of the dominion and the Kingdom. Glory be to possessor of might and invincibility. Glory be to the Living, the one Who will never die.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْقَائِمِ الدَّائِمِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْحَيِّ الْقَيُّومِ سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيِّ الأَعْلى سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالى سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلائِكَةِ والرُّوحِ.

Glory be to the All-Self-existent, the Everlasting, Glory be to the Living the Self-subsistent. Glory be to the All-high, the Most High. Glory be to Him and exalted be He, All-glory and All-holy, our Lord and the Lord of Angels and spirit.

اَللَّهُمَّ إنّ ذَنْبِي أَمْسى مُسْتَجِيراً بِعَفَوِكَ وَخَوْفِي أَمْسى مُسْتَجِيراً بِأَمْنِكَ وَفَقْرِي أمْسى مُسْتَجِيراً بِغِنَاكَ وذُلّي أمْسى مُسْتَجِيراً بِعِزّكَ،

Oh Allah, surely my sin seeks the refuge of Thy pardon; and my fear seeks the refuge of Thy peace; and my indigence seeks the refuge of Thy self-sufficiency; and my abasement seeks the refuge of Thy exaltation.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ واغْفِرْ لي وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

Oh Allah! Bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad, and pardon me, and have mercy on me, for surely Thou art the Praised and the Glorious.

اَللَّهُمَّ تَمَّ نُورُكَ فَهَدَيْتَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَعَظُمَ حِلْمُكَ فَعَفَوْتَفَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَجْهُكَ رَبَّنَا أَكْرَمُ الْوُجُوهِ وَجَاهُكَ أَعْظَمُ الْجَاهِ وَعَطِيَّتُكَ أَفْضَلُ الْعَطَايَا تُطَاعُ

Oh Allah! as Thy light has guided me, so all praise is due to Thee; and by the bounty of Thy clemency pardon me, so all praise is due to Thee Oh our Lord! Thou art the Most Generous of the generous and Thy Splendour is greater than all splendour, and Thy gift is greater in merit than all gifts.

ربَّنَا وَتَشْكُرُ وَتُعْصى فَتَغْفِرُ وَتُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ وَتَكْشِفُ الضُّرَّ وَتُنْجِي مِنَ الْكَرْبِ وَتُغْني الْفُقِيرَوَتَشْفي السَّقِيمَ ولا يُجَاري آلاءَكَ أَحَدٌ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Thou thank those who obey thee and forgive when disobeyed, and grants the supplication of one in distress, and removes the harm, and rescues from affliction, and enriches the indigent, and cures the ailing, and nobody can recompense for any of Thy blessings. Oh Most Merciful of the Merciful!".

يَا مَنْ خَتَمَ ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ

ya man khatama alnnubuwwata bimuhammadin

O He Who has sealed the Prophethood with Muhammad,

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ

salla allahu ʿalayhi wa alihi

Allah may bless him and his Household,

إِخْتِمْ لِي فِي يَوْمِي هٰذَا بِخَيْرٍ

ikhtim li fi yawmi hadha bikhayrin

(please) seal with goodness this day of mine,

وَشَهْرِي بِخَيْرٍ

wa shahri bikhayrin

this month of mine,

وَسَنَتِي بِخَيْرٍ

wa sanati bikhayrin

this year of mine,

وَعُمْرِي بِخَيْرٍ

wa ʿumri bikhayrin

and my entire lifetime.

15.Imam Ali Naqi(as) supplication after the Asr Prayer

يَا مَنْ عَلَوْتَ فَعَظُمَتَ،

Yaa man 'alawta fa 'azumta,

O You Who have risen high and become great.

وَقَهَرْتَ فَغَلَبْتَ،

Wa qaharta faghallabta,

And You subdued and overcame.

وَغَلَبْتَ فَقَهَرْتَ،

Wa ghalabta faqaharta,

And You overcame and subdued.

يَا مَنْ غَلَبْتَ فَعَظُمَتْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ،

Yaa man ghalabta fa 'azumta bi qudratika,

O You Who became mighty and great through Your power.

يَا مَنْ بَسَطْتَ ظِلَّكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ،

Yaa man basatta dhillaka 'ala khalqika,

O You Who have spread Your shadow over Your creation.

وَمَنَحْتَ عِبَادَكَ نِعَمَكَ،

Wa manah'ta 'ibadaka ni'amaka,

And bestowed Your blessings upon Your servants.

أَسْأَلُكَ يَا شَدِيدَ الْعِقَابِ،

As'aluka yaa shadeedal 'iqaabi,

I ask You, O Severe in punishment.

يَا مَنْ يَنْتَقِمُ بِقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِلْحَادِ،

Yaa man yantaqimu bi qudratihi min ahlil ilhaadi,

O You Who avenges with His power against the people of disbelief.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ،

As'aluka bihaqqi waliyyika 'Aliyyi bni Abi Talib,

I ask You by the right of Your guardian, Ali ibn Abi Talib.

وَأَتَوَسَّلُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ فِي قَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِي،

Wa atawassalu bihi ilayka fi qada'i hawa'iji,

And I seek his intercession with You to fulfill my needs.

وَأَنْ تَرْحَمَ مُحَمَّدًا وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ،

Wa an tarhama Muhammadan wa Aala Muhammadin,

And that You have mercy on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَتُعِينَنِي عَلَى قَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِي،

Wa tu'eenani 'ala qada'i hawa'iji,

And help me to fulfill my needs.

وَأَدَاءِ نَوَافِلِي وَفَرَائِضِي،

Wa adaa'i nawafili wa fara'idi,

And to perform my supererogatory prayers and obligations.

وَبِرِّ إِخْوَانِي، وَتَمَامِ طَاعَتِكَ،

Wa birri ikhwaani, wa tamaami taa'atika,

And to be kind to my brothers and complete in Your obedience.

يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

Yaa arhamar raahimeen,

O Most Merciful of the merciful.

16. You may then do the thanksgiving prostration.(sajda Shukr)

اللَّهُمَّ دَعَوْتَنِي فَاجَبْتُ دَعْوَتَكَ

allahumma daʿawtani fa'ajabtu daʿwataka

O Allah, when You called at me, I responded to Your call,

وَصَلَّيْتُ مَكْتُوبَتَكَ

wa sallaytu maktubataka

performed the prayer prescribed by You,

وَٱنْتَشَرْتُ فِي ارْضِكَ كَمَا امَرْتَنِي

wantashartu fi ardika kama amartani

and dispersed through the land as You have ordered me to do.

فَاسْالُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ ٱلْعَمَلَ بِطَاعَتِكَ

fa'as'aluka min fadlika alʿamala bitaʿatika

So, I beseech You to make me, out of Your favoring, work in obedience to You,

وَٱجْتِنَابَ مَعْصِيَتِكَ

wajtinaba maʿsiyatika

avoid disobedience to You,

وَٱلْكَفَافَ مِنَ ٱلرِّزْقِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ

walkafafa min alrrizqi birahmatika

and gain sufficient sustenance, in the name of Your mercy.

As soon as it is midday say the following It is reported that Imam al-Baqir (`a) instructed Muhammad ibn Muslim to keep on saying this as it keeps his eyes from haram

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ

subhana allahi

All glory be to Allah,

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

wa la ilaha illa allahu

there is no god save Allah,

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلاَ وَلَداً

walhamdu lillahi alladhi lam yattakhidh sahibatan wa la waladan

and all praise is due to Allah, Who has not taken a wife or a son

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي ٱلْمُلْكِ

wa lam yakun lahu sharikun fi almulki

and Who has not a partner in the kingdom,

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ

wa lam yakun lahu waliyyun min aldhdhulli

and Who has not a helper to save Him from disgrace;

وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

wa kabbirhu takbiran

and magnify Him with all magnificence.

- Recite 8 Units/ Rak'ats (2 X 4 )Nafilah( Supererogatory) Noon Prayer - Recommended before Zuhr  In the first two units, say the Takbir statement seven times & say,

اعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

aʿudhu billahi min alshshaytani alrrajimi

I pray for Allah's protection from Satan, the accursed.

Recite Surah al-Faatihah and S al-Tawhid in the first unit and S al-Fatihah and Surah al-Kafirun (No. 109) in the second. Upon accomplishment, you may repeat the Takbir statements three times, Tasbih al-Zahra', and then say the following prayer:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ

allahumma inni daʿifun

O Allah, I am weak;

فَقَوِّ فِي رِضَاكَ ضَعْفِي

faqawwi fi ridaka daʿfi

so, (please) strengthen my weakness in the course of Your pleasure,

وَخُذْ إِلَىٰ ٱلْخَيْرِ بِنَاصِيَتِي

wa khudh ila alkhayri binasiyati

lead my forelock to goodness,

وَٱجْعَلِ ٱلإِيـمَانَ مُنْتَهَىٰ رِضَائِي

wajʿali al-imana muntaha rida'i

cause faith to be the utmost of my pleasure,

وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

wa barik li fima qasamta li

bless for me that which You have decided for me,

وَبَلِّغْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ كُلَّ ٱلَّذِي ارْجُو مِنْكَ

wa ballighni birahmatika kulla alladhi arju minka

make me attain, by means of Your mercy, all that which I wish from You,

وَٱجْعَلْ لِي وُدّاً

wajʿal li wuddan

and appoint love for me,

وَسُرُوراً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

wa sururan lilmu'minina

delight for the believers,

وَعَهْداً عِنْدَكَ

wa ʿahdan ʿindaka

and a covenant with You.

You may then stand up to offer next couple of units as exactly as the previous couple except that you may utter one statement of Takbir instead of seven.You may then offer another couple of units as

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ ٱلدَّعْوَةِ ٱلتَّامَّةِ

allahumma rabba hadhihi alddaʿwati alttammati

O Allah, Lord of this perfect supplication

وَٱلصَّلاَةِ ٱلْقَائِمَةِ

walssalati alqa'imati

and established prayer,

بَلِّغْ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

balligh muhammadan salla allahu ʿalayhi wa alihi

(please) assign to Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household,

ٱلدَّرَجَةَ وَٱلْوَسِيلَةَ

alddarajata walwasilata

the rank, right of mediation,

وَٱلْفَضْلَ وَٱلْفَضِيلَةَ

walfadla walfadilata

excellence, and advantage.

بِٱللَّهِ اسْتَفْتِحُ

billahi astaftihu

With Allah do I commence,

وَبِٱللَّهِ اسْتَنْجِحُ

wa billahi astanjihu

from Allah do I seek success,

وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ اتَوَجَّهُ

wa bimuhammadin salla allahu ʿalayhi wa alihi atawajjahu

and in the name of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household, do I turn my face (towards Allah).

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ عِنْدَكَ وَجِيهاً فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wajʿalni bihim ʿindaka wajihan fi alddunya wal-akhirati wa min almuqarrabina

and, in their names, make me worthy of regard in this world and in the Hereafter, and of those drawn near to You.

You may recite the Surahs with low voice except for the basmalah. It is preferred to recite S al-Fatihah and S al-Qadr at the first unit and Sura al-Fatihah and Surah al-Tawhid at the second. After the tashahhud statement in the second unit, you may add the following:

وَتَقَبَّلْ شَفَاعَتَهُ وَٱرْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ

wa taqabbal shafaʿatahuwarfaʿ darajatahu

And (please) admit his intercession and raise his rank.
