Ramadan Daily Daytime Dua

يَا ذَا ٱلَّذِي كَانَ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

ya dha alladhi kana qabla kulli shay'in

O He Who has existed before all things,

ثُمَّ خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

thumma khalaqa kulla shay'in

then created all things,

ثُمَّ يَبْقَىٰ وَيَفْنَىٰ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ

thumma yabqa wa yafna kullu shay'in

and then stays while all things vanish!

يَا ذَا ٱلَّذِي لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ

ya dha alladhi laysa kamithlihi shay'un

O He Whose like is not found at all!

وَيَا ذَا ٱلَّذِي لَيْسَ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ ٱلْعُلَىٰ

wa ya dha alladhi laysa fi alssamawati al`ula

O He neither in the highest heavens

وَلاَ فِي ٱلأَرَضِينَ ٱلسُّفْلَىٰ

wa la fi al-aradina alssufla

nor in the lowest layers of the earth,

وَلاَ فَوْقَهُنَّ وَلاَ تَحْتَهُنَّ

wa la fawqahunna wa la tahtahunna

nor above them, nor beneath them,

وَلاَ بَيْنَهُنَّ إِلٰهٌ يُعْبَدُ غَيْرُهُ

wa la baynahunna ilahun yu`badu ghayruhu

nor there is between them any god that is worshipped save Him.

لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْداً لاَ يَقْوَىٰ عَلَىٰ إِحْصَائِهِ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

laka alhamdu hamdan la yaqwa `ala ihsa'ihi illa anta

To You be the praise that none can count save You.

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

fasalli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

So, please bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

صَلاةً لاَ يَقْوَىٰ عَلَىٰ إِحْصَائِهَا إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

salatan la yaqwa `ala ihsa'iha illa anta

with blessings that none can count save You.

اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

allahumma inni as'aluka an taj`ala fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru

O Allah :I beseech You that You,

مِنَ الأَمْرِ الْمَحْتُومِ فِي الأَمْرِ الْحَكِيمِ

min al-amri almahtumi fi al-amri alhakimi

while taking decisions and rendering possible things and events decisively

مِنَ الْقَضَاءِ الَّذِي لا يُرَدُّ وَلا يُبَدَّلُ

min alqada'i alladhi la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu

(decisions which can not be changed or bypassed),

أَنْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

an taktubani min hujjaji baytika alharami

write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Your Holy House

الْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ،

almabruri hajjuhum

whose pilgrimage receives Your approval,

الْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ،

almashkuri sa`yuhum

whose efforts are appreciated,

الْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ،

almaghfuri dhunubuhum

whose sins are forgiven,

الْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ،

almukaffari `an sayyi'atihim

whose wrongdoings are overlooked;

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

wa an taj`ala fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru

that You, while making decisions and rendering possible things and events;

أَنْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي فِي خَيْرٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ،

an tutila `umri fi khayrin wa `afiyatin

make possible for me long life, goodness, welfare,

وَتُوَسِّعَ في رِزْقِي،

wa tuwassi`a fi rizqi

and enough means of livelihood,

وَتَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ تَنْتَصِرُ بِهِ لِدِينِكَ

wa taj`alani mimman tantasiru bihi lidinika

and let me be like him whom You helps with Your Religion;

وَلا تَسْتَبْدِلْ بِي غَيْرِي.

wa la tastabdil bi ghayri

not substituting any other in my place.

اَللَّهُمَّ هٰذَا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ

allahumma hadha shahru ramadana

O Allah, this is the month of Ramadan

ٱلَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ القُرْآنَ

alladhi anzalta fihi alqur'ana

in which You revealed the Qur'an,

هُدَىً لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلفُرْقَانِ

hudan lilnnasi wa bayyinatin min alhuda walfurqani

a guidance for humankind and clear proofs of true guidance and distinction (between the right and the wrong).

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلصِّيَامِ

wa hadha shahru alssiyami

This is the month of observing fasting.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلْقِيَامِ

wa hadha shahru alqiyami

This is the month of acts of worship.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلإِنَابَةِ

wa hadha shahru al-inabati

This the month of turning to You (in penitence).

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلتَّوْبَةِ

wa hadha shahru alttawbati

This is the month of repentance.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ وَٱلرَّحْمَةِ

wa hadha shahru almaghfirati walrrahmati

This is the month of forgiveness and mercy.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرُ ٱلْعِتْقِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَٱلْفَوْزِ بِٱلْجَنَّةِ

wa hadha shahru al`itqi min alnnari walfawzi biljannati

This is the moth of release from Hellfire and winning Paradise.

وَهٰذَا شَهْرٌ فِيهِ لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ

wa hadha shahrun fihi laylatu alqadri

This is the month in which there is the Destiny Night,

ٱلَّتِي هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنَ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

allati hiya khayrun min alfi shahrin

which is better than one thousand months.

اَللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma fasalli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَعِنِّي عَلَىٰ صِيَامِهِ وَقِيَامِهِ

wa a`inni `ala siyamihi wa qiyamihi

help me observe fasting and do acts of worship during it,

وَسَلِّمْهُ لِي وَسَلِّمْنِي فِيهِ

wa sallimhu li wa sallimni fihi

keep it upright for me, keep me safe during it,

وَأَعِنِّي عَلَيْهِ بِأَ فْضَلِ عَوْنِكَ

wa a`inni `alayhi bi-afdali `awnika

help me observe it with the best of Your help,

وَوَفِّقْنِي فِيهِ لِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ وَأَوْلِيَائِكَ

wa waffiqni fihi lita`atika wa ta`ati rasulika wa awliya'ika

make me succeed in doing acts of obedience to You, to Your Prophet, and Your intimate servants

صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ

salla allahu `alayhim

upon whom be Your blessings.

وَفَرِّغْنِي فِيهِ لِعِبَادَتِكَ وَدُعَائِكَ وَتِلاوَةِ كِتَابِكَ

wa farrighni fihi li`ibadatika wa du`a'ika wa tilawati kitabika

Make me devote myself to acts of worship to You, to praying You, and to reciting Your Book,

وَأَعْظِمْ لِي فِيهِ ٱلبَرَكَةَ

wa a`zim li fihi albarakata

increase its blessings for me,

وَأَحْسِنْ لِي فِيهِ ٱلعَافِيَةَ

wa ahsin li fihi al`afiyata

confer upon me with good health during it,

وَأَصِحَّ فِيهِ بَدَنِي

wa asihha fihi badani

make my body healthy during it,

وَأَوْسِعْ فِيهِ رِزْقِي

wa awsi` fihi rizqi

expand my sustenance during it,

وَٱكْفِنِي فِيهِ مَا أَهَمَّنِي

wakfini fihi ma ahammani

save me from whatever aggrieves me during it,

وَٱسْتَجِبْ فِيهِ دُعَائِي

wastajib fihi du`a'i

respond to my prayers during it,

وَبَلِّغْنِي فِيهِ رَجَائِي

wa ballighni fihi raja'i

and make me attain my hope during it.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَذْهِبْ عَنِّي فِيهِ ٱلنُّعَاسَ وَٱلْكَسَلَ وَٱلسَّأْمَةَ

wa adhhib `anni fihi alnnu`asa walkasala walssa'mata

remove from me during it drowsiness, lethargy, laziness,

وَٱلْفَتْرَةَ وَٱلْقَسْوَةَ وَٱلْغَفْلَةَ وَٱلْغِرَّةَ

walfatrata walqaswata walghaflata walghirrata

weariness, hardheartedness, inattentiveness, and carelessness.

وَجَنِّبْنِي فِيهِ ٱلْعِلَلَ وَٱلأَسْقَامَ

wa jannibni fihi al`ilala wal-asqama

Put aside from me during it illnesses, sicknesses,

وَٱلْهُمُومَ وَٱلأَحْزَانَ

walhumuma wal-ahzana

grievances, sorrows,

وَٱلأَعْرَاضَ وَٱلأَمْرَاضَ

wal-a`rada wal-amrada

ailments, diseases,

وَٱلْخَطَايَا وَٱلذُّنُوبَ

walkhataya waldhdhunuba

wrongdoings, and sins.

وَٱصْرِفْ عَنِّي فِيهِ ٱلسُّوءَ وَٱلْفَحْشَاءَ

wasrif `anni fihi alssu'a walfahsha'a

Send away from me during it evil, indecency,

وَٱلْجَهْدَ وَٱلْبَلاَءَ

waljahda walbala'a

fatigue, ordeals,

وَٱلتَّعَبَ وَٱلْعَنَاءَ

waltta`aba wal`ana'a

tiredness, and suffering.

إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَاءِ

innaka sami`u alddu`a'i

Verily, You are the Hearer of prayers.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَأَعِذْنِي فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ

wa a`idhni fihi min alshshaytani alrrajimi

and protect me during it from Satan the cursed,

وَهَمْزِهِ وَلَمْزِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ

wa hamzihi wa lamzihi wa nafthihi wa nafkhihi

his sting, his slander, his devilry,

وَوَسْوَسَتِهِ وَتَثْبِيطِهِ وَبَطْشِهِ وَكَيْدِهِ

wa waswasatihi wa tathbitihi wa batshihi wa kaydihi

his evil inspirations, his frustration, his obstinacy, his trickeries,

وَمَكْرِهِ وَحَبَائِلِهِ وَخُدَعِهِ وَأَمَانِيِّهِ

wa makrihi wa haba'ilihi wa khuda`ihi wa amaniyyihi

his deceptions, his traps, his scams, his false hopes,

وَغُرُورِهِ وَفِتْنَتِهِ وَشَرَكِهِ وَأَحْزَابِهِ

wa ghururihi wa fitnatihi wa sharakihi wa ahzabihi

his vanities, his seductions, his ruses, his allies,

وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ وَأَوْلِيَائِهِ وَشُرَكَائِهِ

wa atba`ihi wa ashya`ihi wa awliya'ihi wa shuraka'ihi

his followers, his fans, his supporters, his partners,

وَجَمِيعِ مَكَائِدِهِ

wa jami`i maka'idihi

and all his snares.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱرْزُقْنَا قِيَامَهُ وَصِيَامَهُ

warzuqna qiyamahu wa siyamahu

and bestow upon us with the observance of fasting, acts of worship,

وَبُلُوغَ ٱلأَمَلِ فِيهِ وَفِي قِيَامِهِ

wa bulugha al-amali fihi wa fi qiyamihi

attainment of our hopes during it, by means of doing acts of worship in it,

وَٱسْتِكْمَالَ مَا يُرْضِيكَ عَنِّي

wastikmala ma yurdika `anni

accomplishment of that which brings about Your pleasure

صَبْراً وَاحْتِسَاباً وَإِيـمَاناً وَيَقِيناً

sabran wahtisaban wa imanan wa yaqinan

by means of steadfastness, acting for Your sake, faith and certitude.

ثُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ ذٰلِكَ مِنِّي بِٱلأَضْعَافِ ٱلْكَثِيرَةِ

thumma taqabbal dhalika minni bil-ad`afi alkathirati

Then (please) admit all that from me with manifold rewards

وَٱلأَجْرِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wal-ajri al`azimi

and great gifts.

يَا رَبَّ ٱلعَالَمِينَ

ya rabba al`alamina

O Lord of the worlds!

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱرْزُقْنِي ٱلْحَجَّ وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ

warzuqni alhajj wal`umrata

and grant me (the opportunity to go on) Hajj, `Umrah,

وَٱلْجِدَّ وَٱلاِجْتِهَادَ

waljidda walijtihada

hard work, painstakingness,

وَٱلْقُوَّةَ وَٱلنَّشَاطَ

walquwwata walnnashata

power, activity,

وَٱلإِنَابَةَ وَٱلتَّوْبَةَ

wal-inabata walttawbata

turning to You, repentance,

وَٱلتَّوْفِيقَ وَٱلْقُرْبَةَ

walttawfiqa walqurbata

success, seeking Your nearness,

وَٱلْخَيْرَ ٱلْمَقْبُولَ وَٱلرَّغْبَةَ وَٱلرَّهْبَةَ

walkhayra almaqbula walrraghbata walrrahbata

admitted good-doing, desire (for You), fear (from You),

وَٱلتَّضَرُّعَ وَٱلْخُشُوعَ

walttadarru`a walkhushu`a

submission (to You), meekness,

وَٱلرِّقَّةَ وَٱلنِّيَّةَ ٱلصَّادِقَةَ

walrriqqata walnniyyata alssadiqata

tenderness, sincere intention,

وَصِدْقَ ٱللِّسَانِ

wa sidqa allisani

truthfulness,

وَٱلْوَجَلَ مِنْكَ

walwajala minka

dread from You,

وَٱلرَّجَاءَ لَكَ

walrraja'a laka

hope for You,

وَٱلتَّوَكًُّلَ عَلَيْكَ

walttawakkula `alayka

reliance upon You,

وَٱلثَِّقَةَ بِكَ

walththiqata bika

trust in You,

وَٱلْوَرَعَ عَنْ مَحَارِمِكَ

walwara`a `an maharimika

and abstention from committing that which You have deemed unlawful,

مَعَ صَالِحِ ٱلْقَوْلِ

ma`a salihi alqawli

along with decent speaking,

وَمَقْبُولِ ٱلسَّعْيِ

wa maqbuli alssa`yi

admitted efforts,

وَمَرْفُوعِ ٱلْعَمَلِ

wa marfu`i al`amali

elevated deeds,

وَمُسْتَجَابِ ٱلدَّعْوَةِ

wa mustajabi aldda`wait

and responded prayers.

وَلاَ تَحُلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ شَيْءٍ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ

wa la tahul bayni wa bayna shay'in min dhalika

Do not let anything intervene between me and any of these matters,

بِعَرَضٍ وَلاَ مَرَضٍ

bi`aradin wa la maradin

such as an accidental event, disease,

وَلاَ هَمٍّ وَلاَ غَمٍّ

wa la hammin wa la ghammin

grief, unhappiness,

وَلاَ سُقْمٍ وَلاَ غَفْلَةٍ وَلاَ نِسْيَانٍ

wa la suqmin wa la ghaflatin wa la nisyanin

ailment, inadvertence, or oblivion;

بَلْ بِٱلتَّعَاهُدِ وَٱلتَّحَفُّظِ لَكَ وَفِيكَ

bal biltta`ahudi walttahaffuzi laka wa fika

rather, (help me do all that) with observance, carefulness to You and for Your sake,

وَٱلرِّعَايَةِ لِحَقِّكَ وَٱلْوَفَاءِ بِعَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ

walrri`aiyati lihaqqika walwafa'i bi`ahdika wa wa`dika

adherence to that which is incumbent upon me towards You, and fulfillment of my covenant and promise to You.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

(let all that be) in the name of Your mercy, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱقْسِمْ لِي فِيهِ أَفْضَلَ مَا تَقْسِمُهُ لِعِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

waqsim li fihi afdala ma taqsimuhu li`ibadika alssalihina

decide for me during this month the best of that which You decide for Your righteous servants,

وَأَعْطِنِي فِيهِ أَفْضَلَ مَا تُعْطِي أَوْلِيَاءَكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa a`tini fihi afdala ma tu`ti awlya'aka almuqarrabina

and give me during it the most favorable of that which You give to Your intimate and favorite servants;

مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ وَٱلتَّحَنُّنِ وَٱلإِجَابَةِ

min alrrahmati walmaghfirati walttahannuni wal-ijabati

such as mercy, forgiveness, kindness, responding (of prayers),

وَٱلْعَفْوِ وَٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ٱلدَّائِمَةِ وَٱلْعَافِيَةِ وَٱلْمُعَافَاةِ

wal`afwi walmaghfirati aldda'imati wal`afiyati walmu`afati

pardon, perpetual forgiveness, good health, continuous wellbeing,

وَٱلْعِتْقِ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَٱلْفَوْزِ بِٱلْجَنَّةِ

wal`itqi min alnnari walfawzi biljannati

release from Hellfire, winning Paradise,

وَخَيْرِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wa khayri alddunya wal-akhirati

and the goodness of this worldly life and the Next World.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱجْعَلْ دُعَائِي فِيهِ إِلَيْكَ وَاصِلاً

waj`al du`a'i fihi ilayka wasilan

and cause my prayers during this month to reach You,

وَرَحْمَتَكَ وَخَيْرَكَ إِلَيَّ فِيهِ نَازِلاً

wa rahmataka wa khayraka ilayya fihi nazilan

Your mercy and goodness during it to reach me,

وَعَمَلِي فِيهِ مَقْبُولاً

wa `amali fihi maqbulan

my deed to be accepted (by You),

وَسَعْيِي فِيهِ مَشْكُوراً

wa sa`yi fihi mashkuran

my efforts during it to be praiseworthy,

وَذَنْبِي فِيهِ مَغْفُوراً

wa dhanbi fihi maghfuran

and my sins during it to be forgiven

حَتَّىٰ يَكُونَ نَصِيبِي فِيهِ ٱلأَكْثَرُ

hatta yakuna nasibi fihi al-akthara

so that my share (of Your awards) shall be the most abundant,

وَحَظِّي فِيهِ ٱلأَوْفَرُ

wa hazzi fihi al-awfara

and my portion the most copious.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَوَفِّقْنِي فِيهِ لِلَيْلَةِ ٱلقَدْرِ

wa waffiqni fihi lilaylati alqadri

and guide me to observe the Destiny Night adequately,

عَلَىٰ أَفْضَلِ حَالٍ تُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَوْلِيَائِكَ وَأَرْضَاهَا لَكَ

`ala afdali halin tuhibbu an yakuna `alayha ahadun min awliya'ika wa ardaha laka

being in the most favorable and most pleased state that You would like to notice from any of Your intimate servants.

ثُمَّ ٱجْعَلْهَا لِي خَيْراً مِنَ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

thumm ij`alha li khayran min alfi shahrin

Then, decide it to be better for me that one thousand months,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا أَفْضَلَ مَا رَزَقْتَ أَحَداً مِمَّنْ بَلَّغْتَهُ إِيَّاهَا وَأَكْرَمْتَهُ بِهَا

warzuqni fiha afdala ma razaqta ahadan mimman ballaghtahu iyyaha wa akramtahu biha

confer upon me during this night the best conferrals that You ever confer upon any one whom You guide to attain it and whom You honor during it,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي فِيهَا مِنْ عُتَقَائِكَ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ

waj`alni fiha min `utaqa'ika min jahannama

include me at this night it with those whom You release from Hell

وَطُلَقَائِكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa tulaqa'ika min alnnari

whom You manumit from Hellfire

وَسُعَدَاءِ خَلْقِكَ بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

wa su`ada'i khalqika bimaghfiratika wa ridwanika

and with those of Your creatures who are happy due to Your forgiveness and satisfaction (that reach them).

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱرْزُقْنَا فِي شَهْرِنَا هٰذَا ٱلجِدَّ وَٱلإِجْتِهَادَ

warzuqna fi shahrina hadha aljidda walijtihada

and grant us during this month hard working, exactness,

وَٱلقُوَّةَ وَٱلنَّشَاطَ

walquwwata walnnashata

power, activeness,

وَمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَىٰ

wa ma tuhibbu wa tarda

and whatever You like and please.

اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ ٱلفَجْرِ وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ وَٱلشَّفْعِ وَٱلْوَتْرِ

allahumma rabba alfajri wa layalin `ashrin walshshaf`i walwatri

O Allah, the Lord of the Dawn, the Ten Nights, the Even and the Odd,

وَرَبَّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَمَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْآنِ

wa rabba shahri ramadana wa ma anzalta fihi min alqur'ani

the Lord of the month of Ramadan and the Qur'an that You have revealed during it,

وَرَبَّ جَبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ وَعِزْرَائِيلَ

wa rabba jabra'ila wa mika'ila wa israfila wa `izra'ila

the Lord of (Archangels) Gabriel, Michael, Seraph, and `Izra’il,

وَجَمِيعِ ٱلْمَلاَئِكَةِ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa jami`i almala'ikati almuqarrabina

as well as all the Favorite Angels,

وَرَبَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ

wa rabba ibrahima wa isma`ila

the Lord of (Prophets) Abraham, Ishmael,

وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ

wa ishaqa wa ya`quba

Isaac, and Jacob,

وَرَبَّ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ

wa rabba musa wa `isa

the Lord of Moses and Jesus,

وَجَمِيعِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ وَٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa jami`i alnnabiyyina walmursalina

as well as all the Prophets and Messengers,

وَرَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

wa rabba muhammadin khatami alnnabiyyina

and the Lord of Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

salawatuka `alayhi wa `alayhim ajma`ina

may Your blessings be upon him and upon them all.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَبِحَقِّهِمْ عَلَيْكَ

wa as'aluka bihaqqika `alayhim wa bihaqqihim `alayka

I beseech You in the name of their duty towards You Your duty towards them,

وَبِحَقِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ لَمَّا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

wa bihaqqika al`azimi lamma sallayta `alayhi wa alihi wa `alayhim ajma`ina

and in the name of the great duty towards You to bless him and his Household and all of them,

وَنَظَرْتَ إِلَيَّ نَظْرَةً رَحِيمَةً

wa nazarta ilayya nazratan rahimatan

to take a merciful look at me

تَرْضَىٰ بِهَا عَنِّي رِضَىً لاَ سَخَطَ عَلَيَّ بَعْدَهُ أَبَداً

tarda biha `anni ridan la sakhata `alayya ba`dahu Abadan

due to which You be pleased with me so perfectly that You never be irate with me after that,

وَأَعْطَيْتَنِي جَمِيعَ سُؤْلِي وَرَغْبَتِي وَأُمْنِيَتِي وَإِرَادَتِي

wa a`taytani jami`a su'li wa raghbati wa umniyati wa iradati

to grant me all my requests, desires, hopes, and needs,

وَصَرَفْتَ عَنِّي مَا أَكْرَهُ وَأَحْذَرُ

wa sarafta `anni ma akrahu wa ahdharu

to ward off all that which I despise and try to avoid

وَأَخَافُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي وَمَا لاَ أَخَافُ

wa akhafu `ala nafsi wa ma la akhafu

and all that which I fear for myself and all that which I do not fear,

وَعَنْ أَهْلِي وَمَالِي وَإِخْوَانِي وَذُرِّيَّتِي

wa `an ahli wa mali wa ikhwani wa dhurriyyati

and to do the same to my family members, my property, my brethren and my offspring.

اللَّهُمُّ إِلَيْكَ فَرَرْنَا مِنْ ذُنُوبِنَا فَآوِنَا تَائِبِينَ

allahumma ilayka fararna min dhunubina fa'awina ta'ibina

O Allah, to You are we running from our sins; so (please do) shelter us as we are repentant,

وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا مُسْتَغْفِرِينَ

wa tub `alayna mustaghfirina

accept our repentance as we are seeking Your forgiveness,

وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا مُتَعَوّذِينَ

waghfir lana muta`awwidhina

forgive us as we are seeking Your protection,

وَأَعِذْنَا مُسْتَجِيرِينَ

wa a`idhna mustajirina

protect us as we are seeking Your aid,

وَأَجِرْنَا مُسْتَسْلِمِينَ

wa ajirna mustaslimina

aid us as we are surrendering to You,

وَلاَ تَخْذُلْنَا رَاهِبِينَ

wa la takhdhulna rahibina

never disappoint us as we are fearful of You,

وَآمِنَّا رَاغِبِينَ

wa aminna raghibina

secure us as we are desiring for You,

وَشَفِّعْنَا سَائِلِينَ

wa shaffi`na sa'ilina

accept our intercession as we are begging You,

وَأَعْطِنَا إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَاءِ قرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ

wa a`tina innaka sami`u alddu`a'i qribun mujibun

and grant us (what we hope) as You are verily the Hearer of prayers, the Nigh, and the Responding.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ

allahumma anta rabbi wa ana `abduka

O Allah, You are my Lord and I am Your servant,

وَأَحَقُّ مَنْ سَأَلَ ٱلعَبْدُ رَبَّهُ

wa ahaqqu man sa'ala al`abdu rabbahu

and it is conventional that a servant begs from his Lord.

وَلَمْ يَسْأَلِ ٱلْعِبَادُ مِثْلَكَ كَرَماً وَجُوداً

wa lam yas'ali al`ibadu mithlaka karaman wa judan

All Your servants have never begged any one who is as generous and magnanimous as You are.

يَا مَوْضِعَ شَكْوَىٰ ٱلسَّائِلِينَ

ya mawdi`a shakwa alssa'ilina

O center of the complaints of the beseechers!

وَيَا مُنْتَهَىٰ حَاجَةِ ٱلرَّاغِبِينَ

wa ya muntaha hajati alrraghibina

O ultimate goal of the needs of the desirers!

وَيَا غِيَاثَ ٱلْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ

wa ya ghiyatha almustaghithina

O Aide of the seekers of aid!

وَيَا مُجِيبَ دَعْوَةِ ٱلْمُضْطَرّينَ

wa ya mujiba da`wati almudtarrina

O Responding to the prayers of the distressed ones!

وَيَا مَلْجَأَ ٱلْهَارِبِينَ

wa ya malja'a alharibina

O Shelter of the fugitives!

وَيَا صَرِيخَ ٱلْمُسْتَصْرِخِينَ

wa ya sarikha almustasrikhina

O Helper of the seekers of help!

وَيَا رَبّ ٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ

wa ya rabba almustad`afina

O Cherisher of the enfeebled ones!

وَيَا كَاشِفَ كَرْبِ ٱلْمَكْرُوبِينَ

wa ya kashifa karbi almakrubina

O Reliever of the grievances of the aggrieved ones!

وَيَا فَارِجَ هَمِّ ٱلْمَهْمُومِينَ

wa ya farija hammi almahmumina

O Releaser of the agonies of the distressed ones!

وَيَا كَاشِفَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa ya kashifa alkarbi al`azimi

O Reliever of the enormous calamities!

يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحِيمُ

ya allahu ya rahmanu ya rahimu

O Allah! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful!

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(Please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَعُيُوبِي

waghfir li dhunubi wa `uyubi

forgive my sins, my defects,

وَإِسَاءَتِي وَظُلْمِي وَجُرْمِي

wa isa'ati wa zulmi wa jurmi

my offenses, my wrongdoing, my felonies,

وَإِسْرَافِي عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي

wa israfi `ala nafsi

and my extravagance in my affairs,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

warzuqni min fadlika wa rahmatika

grant me out of Your favors and mercy,

فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَمْلِكُهَا غَيْرُكَ

fa'innahu la yamlikuha ghayruka

for none possesses these two save You,

وَٱعْفُ عَنِّي

wa`fu `anni

pardon me,

وَٱغْفِرْ لِي كُلَّ مَا سَلَفَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي

waghfir li kulla ma salafa min dhunubi

forgive all my past sins,

وَٱعْصِمْنِي فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمْرِي

wa`simni fima baqiya min `umri

save me from sinning in the rest of my lifetime,

وَٱسْتُرْ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ

wastur `alayya wa `ala walidayya

cover me as well as my parents,

وَوَلَدِي وَقَرَابَتِي وَأَهْلِ حُزَانَتِي

wa waladi wa qarabati wa ahli huzanati

my children, my relatives, my friends,

وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنِّي بِسَبِيلٍ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wa man kana minni bisabilin min almu'minina walmu'minati fi alddunya wal-akhirati

and all those who relate to me from the believing men and women in this worldly life and the life to come.

فَإِنَّ ذٰلِكَ كُلَّهُ بِيَدِكَ

fa'inna dhalika kullahu biyadika

Verily, all that is managed by You alone

وَأَنْتَ وَاسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ

wa anta wasi`u almaghfirati

and You are verily the Liberal in forgiving.

فَلاَ تُخَيِّبْنِي يَا سَيِّدِي

fala tukhayyibni ya sayyidi

So, my Master, do not disappoint me,

وَلاَ تَرُدَّ دُعَائِي وَلاَ يَدِي إِلَىٰ نَحْرِي

wa la tarudda du`a'i wa la yadi ila nahri

do not reject my prayer, and do not let me down;

حَتَّىٰ تَفْعَلَ ذٰلِكَ بِي وَتَسْتَجِيبَ لِي جَمِيعَ مَا سَأَلْتُكَ

hatta taf`ala dhalika bi wa tastajiba li jami`a ma sa'altuka

rather, (please) do all that to me, respond to me in all that which I have asked from You,

وَتَزِيدَنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

wa tazidani min fadlika

and increase Your favor upon me,

فَإِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

fa'innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

because You verily have power over all things

وَنَحْنُ إِلَيْكَ رَاغِبُونَ

wa nahnu ilayka raghibuna

and for You do we desire.

اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلأَسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

allahumma laka al-asma'u alhusna

O Allah, Yours are the Most Excellent Names,

وَٱلأَمْثَالُ ٱلْعُلْيَا

wal-amthalu al`ulya

the Most Elevated Examples,

وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَٱلآلاَءُ

walkibriya'u wal-ala'u

every greatness, and all bounties.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ:

as'aluka bismika:

I thus beseech You by Your Name:

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

إِنْ كُنْتَ قَضَيْتَ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ

in kunta qadayta fi hadhihi allaylati

If you have decided at this night,

تَنَزَّلَ ٱلْمَلائِكَةِ وَٱلرُّوحِ فِيهَا

tanazzala almala'ikati walrruhi fiha

during which the angels and the Holy Spirit are allowed to descend,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ ٱسْمِي فِي ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ

wa an taj`ala (i)smi fi alssu`ada'i

add my name to the (list of the) happy ones,

وَرُوحِي مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ

wa ruhi ma`a alshshuhada'i

add my soul to the martyrs,

وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ

wa ihsani fi `illiyyina

elevate my good doings exaltedly,

وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً

wa isa'ati maghfuratan

decide my ill deeds to be forgiven,

وَأَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi

grant me conviction with which You fill in my heart,

وَإِيـمَاناً لاَ يَشُوبُهُ شَكٌّ

wa imanan la yashubuhu shakkun

faith free of doubt,

وَرِضَىً بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

wa ridan bima qasamta li

satisfaction with that which You decide for me,

وَآتِنِي فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي ٱلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً

wa atini fi alddunya hasanatan wa fi al-akhirati hasanatan

grant me good in this worldly life and good in the Next World,

وَقِنِي عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa qini `adhaba alnnari

and save me from the Fire of Hell.

وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ قَضَيْتَ فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ

wa in lam takun qadayta fi hadhihi allaylati

And if You have not decided at this night,

تَنَزَّلَ ٱلْمَلائِكَةِ وَٱلرُّوْحِ فِيهَا

tanazzala almala'ikati walrruhi fiha

during which the angels and the Holy Spirit are allowed to descend,

فَأَخِّرْنِي إِلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ

fa-akhkhirni ila dhalika

then (please) postpone Your decisions about me to that night,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ

warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka

confer upon me during it with remembering You, showing gratitude to You,

وَطَاعَتَكَ وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ

wa ta`ataka wa husna `ibadatika

doing acts of obedience to You, and worshipping You in the best manner.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

And (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

بِأَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

bi-afdali salawatika ya arhama alrrahimina

with Your most favorable blessings, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

يَا أَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ

ya ahadu ya samadu

O One and Only! the Besought of all!

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ

ya rabba muhammadin

O Lord of Muhammad!

إِغْضَبِ ٱليَوْمَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَلأَبْرَارِ عِتْرَتِهِ

ighdab alyawma limuhammadin wa li'abrari `itratihi

(please) revenge on this day for Muhammad and for the pious ones from his offspring,

وَٱقْتُلْ أَعْدَاءَهُمْ بَدَداً

waqtul a`da'ahum badadan

eradicate all of their enemies,

وَأَحْصِهِمْ عَدَداً

wa ahsihim `adadan

put them all under Your reprimand,

وَلاَ تَدَعْ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِ ٱلأَرْضِ مِنْهُمْ أَحَداً

wa la tada` `ala zahri al-ardi minhum ahadan

do not leave anyone of them to live on this earth,

وَلاَ تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَبَداً

wa la taghfir lahum abadan

and never forgive them.

يَا حَسَنَ ٱلصُّحْبَةِ

ya hasana alssuhbati

O most excellent Companion!

يَا خَلِيفَةَ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ

ya khalifata alnnabiyyina

O Heir of the Prophets!

أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

anta arhamu alrrahimina

You are verily the most Merciful of all those who show mercy,

ٱلْبَدِيءُ ٱلْبَدِيعُ

albadi'u albadi`u

the Commencer, the brilliant Maker,

ٱلَّذِي لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ

alladhi laysa kamithlika shay'un

there is none like You,

وَٱلدَّائِمُ غَيْرُ ٱلْغَافِلِ

waldda'imu ghayru alghafili

You are the Eternal Who never omits anything,

وَٱلْحَيُّ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يَمُوتُ

walhayyu alladhi la yamutu

are the Ever-living Who never dies,

أَنْتَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي شَأْنٍ

anta kulla yawmin fi sha'nin

on each day, You have a certain state.

أَنْتَ خَلِيفَةُ مُحَمَّدٍ

anta khalifatu muhammadin

You are the Heir of Muhammad,

وَنَاصِرُ مُحمَّدٍ

wa nasiru muhmmdin

the Supporter of Muhammad,

وَمُفَضِّلُ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa mufaddilu muhammadin

and the Selector of Muhammad.

أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَنْصُرَ وَصِيَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَخَلِيفَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ

as'aluka an tansura wasiyi muhammadin wa khalifata muhammadin

I beseech You to give victory to the successor and representative of Muhammad,

وَٱلقَائِمَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ مِنْ أَوْصِيَاءِ مُحَمَّدٍ

walqa'ima bilqisti min awsiya'i muhammadin

the Imam who shall appear with justice among the successors of Muhammad,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ

salawatuka `alayhi wa `alayhim

may Your blessings be upon him and upon them.

إِعْطِفْ عَلَيْهِمْ نَصْرَكَ

i`tif `alayhim nasraka

(Please) turn Your victory toward them.

يَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

ya la ilaha illa anta

O He but Whom there is no god!

بِحَقِّ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

bihaqqi la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of that there is no god but You,

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱجْعَلْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

waj`alni ma`ahum fi alddunya wal-akhirati

allow me to join them in this worldly life as well as the Next World

وَٱجْعَلْ عَاقِبَةَ أَمْرِي إِلَىٰ غُفْرَانِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

waj`al `aqibata amri ila ghufranika wa rahmatika

and allow all my affairs to end up with Your forgiveness and mercy.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

وَكَذٰلِكَ نَسَبْتَ نَفْسَكَ يَا سَيِّدِي بِٱللُّطْفِ

wa kadhalika nasabta nafsaka ya sayyidi billutfi

O my Master, You have ascribed the feature of kindness to Yourself.

بَلَىٰ إِنَّكَ لَطِيفٌ

bala innaka latifun

Yes, indeed! You are truly kind.

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

fasalli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

So, (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱلطُفْ بِي لِمَا تَشَاءُ

waltuf bi lima tasha'u

and treat me kindly as You like.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي ٱلْحَجَّ وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ فِي عَامِنَا هٰذَا

warzuqni alhajja wal`umrata fi `amina hadha

grant me (the opportunity to go on) Hajj and `Umrah in this year,

وَتَطَوَّلْ عَلَيَّ بِجَمِيعِ حَوَائِجِي لِلآخِرَةِ وَٱلدُّنْيَا

wa tatawwal `alayya bijami`i hawa'iji lil-akhirati walddunya

confer upon me with the favor of settling all my needs for the Next World and this worldly life.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I implore for the forgiveness of Allah, my Lord, and I repent before Him.

إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ

inna rabbi qaribun mujibun

Surely, my Lord is Nigh and Responding.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I implore for Allah’s forgiveness, my Lord, and I repent before Him,

إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ

inna rabbi rahimun wadudun

Surely, my Lord is Merciful, Loving.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha rabbi wa atubu ilayhi

I implore for Allah’s forgiveness, my Lord, and I repent before Him.

إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّاراً

innahu kana ghaffaran

He is surely All-forgiving.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي

allahumma ighfir li

O Allah, (please do) forgive me.

إِنَّكَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

innaka arhamu alrrahimina

You are verily the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

رَبِّ إِنِّي عَمِلْتُ سُوءاً وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي

rabbi inni `amiltu su'an wa zalamtu nafsi

O my Lord, I have committed ill deeds and wronged myself.

فَٱغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

faghfir li innahu la yaghfiru aldhdhunuba illa anta

So (please) forgive me, because none can forgive sins save You.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

astaghfiru allaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa

I implore for Allah’s forgiveness save Whom there is no god,

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلقَيُّومُ ٱلْحَلِيمُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

alhayyu alqayyumu alhalimu al`azimu

the Ever-living, the Self-Subsistent, the Indulgent, the All-great,

ٱلْكَرِيمُ ٱلْغَفَّارُ لِلذَّنْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

alkarimu alghaffaru lildhdhanbi al`azimi

the Noble, the forgiver of fatal sins,

وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

wa atubu ilayhi

and I repent before Him.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ

astaghfiru allaha

I implore for Allah’s forgiveness.

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ غَفُوراً رَحِيماً

inna allaha kana ghafuran rahiman

Allah is verily Forgiver, Merciful.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma inni as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

wa an taj`ala fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru

to decide within the decisions that You make,

مِنَ ٱلأَمْرِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٱلْمَحْتُومِ فِي لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

min al-amri al`azimi almahtumi fi laylati alqadri

from the great, inevitable affair at the Destiny Night,

مِنَ ٱلْقَضَاءِ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُرَدُّ وَلاَ يُبَدَّلُ

min alqada'i alladhi la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu

within the decision that is neither rejected nor altered,

أَنْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْحَرَامِ

an taktubani min hujjaji baytika alharami

to write my name with the pilgrims of Your Holy House,

ٱلْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمْ

almabruri hajjuhum

whose Hajj is admitted,

ٱلْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمْ

almashkuri sa`yuhum

whose efforts are praiseworthy,

ٱلْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمْ

almaghfuri dhunubuhum

whose sins are forgiven,

ٱلْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُهُمْ

almukaffari `anhum sayyi'atuhum

and whose offenses are pardoned,

وَأَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ أَنْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي

wa an taj`ala fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru an tutila `umri

to decide among the decisions that You make to grant me long lifetime,

وَتُوَسِّعَ رِزْقِي

wa tuwassi`a rizqi

expand my sustenance,

وَتُؤَدِّيَ عَنِّي أَمَانَتِي وَدَيْنِي

wa tu'addiya `anni amanati wa dayni

help me fulfill my trusts and settle my debts,

آمِينَ رَبَّ ٱلعَالَمِينَ

amina rabba al`alamina

and respond to me, O Lord of the worlds.

اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِي فَرَجاً وَمَخْرَجاً

allahumma ij`al li min amri farajan wa makhrajan

O Allah, (please do) make for me relief and an outlet,

وَٱرْزُقْنِي مِنْ حَيْثُ أَحْتَسِبُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ أَحْتَسِبُ

warzuqni min haythu ahtasibu wa min haythu la ahtasibu

provide for me from whence I expect and from whence I do not expect,

وَٱحْرُسْنِي مِنْ حَيْثُ أَحْتَرِسُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ أَحْتَرِسُ

wahrusni min haythu ahtarisu wa min haythu la ahtarisu

guard me from when I take precautions and from whence I do not take precautions,

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَلِّمْ كَثِيراً

wa salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa sallim kathiran

and send plentiful blessings and benedictions to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنا فِيهِ وَفِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَشِیعَتِهِ وَرَعيّتِهِ وَعَامَّتِهِ

Allahumma arina fihi wa fi ahli baytihi wa shi‘atihi wa ra‘iyyatihi wa ‘ammatihi

O Allah, show us in him, his family, his followers, his people, and the general public

ا مَا يَأمُلُ وَفِي أعْدائِهِ مَا يَحْذَرُوْنَ

Ama ya’mulu wa fi a‘da’ihi ma yahdharun

What he hopes for, and in his enemies what they fear

مُنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِطَاعَتِهِ وَرِضاهُ

Munn ‘alayna bita‘atihi wa ridhah

Bestow upon us obedience to him and his pleasure

وَالحِقْنَا بَشيعَتِهِ المُقَرّبِيْنَ وَأوْلِيَائِهِ السابِقِيْنَ

Walhiqna bashi‘atihi al-muqarrabin wa awliya’ihi as-sabiqin

And join us with his close followers and his preceding allies

وَصَلَّ عَلَیْهِ وَعَلىَ آبَائِهِ الطاهِرِيْنَ

Wa salli ‘alayhi wa ‘ala aba’ihi at-tahirin

And send blessings upon him and his pure forefathers

بِجَميعِ صَلَوَاتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

Bijami‘ salawatika ya arham ar-rahimin

With all Your blessings, O Most Merciful of the merciful

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ بَهَائِكَ بِأَبْهَاهُ

allahumma inni as’aluka min baha’ika bi-abhahu

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your brilliance that beautifies,

وَكُلُّ بَهَائِكَ بَهِيّ

wa kullu baha’ika bahiyy

and all Your glories are radiantly brilliant,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِبَهَائِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bibaha’ika kullhi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your glories.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَلالِكَ بِأَجَلّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min jalalika bi-ajallhi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your majesty that gives grandeur,

وَكُلُّ جَلالِكَ جَلِيلٌ

wa kullu jalalika jalilun

and all Your majestic powers are strongly sublime;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلالِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bijalalika kullhi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your powers.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ جَمَالِكَ بِأَجْمَلِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min jamalika bi-ajmalihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your refined good that makes more handsome,

وَكُلُّ جَمَالِكَ جَمِيلٌ

wa kullu jamalika jamilun

and all Your refinements are gracefully beautiful;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bijamalika kullhi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your beauties.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَظَمَتِكَ بِأَعْظَمِهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min `azamatika bi-a`zamiha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your greatness that makes great,

وَكُلُّ عَظَمَتِكَ عَظِيمَةٌ

wa kullu `azamatika `azimatun

and all Your powers are extensively important;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَظَمَتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bi`azamatika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your influences.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ نُورِكَ بِأَنْوَرِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min nurika bi-anwarihi

O Allah I beseech You to give me from Your light that enlightens,

وَكُلُّ نُورِكَ نَيّرٌ

wa kullu nurika nayyrun

and all Your enlightenments are luminously bright;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِنُورِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka binurika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your lights.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ بِأَوْسَعِهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min rahmatika bi-awsa`iha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your mercy that gives much,

وَكُلُّ رَحْمَتِكَ وَاسِعَةٌ

wa kullu rahmatika wasi`atun

and all Your kind leniencies are plenteously many,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka birahmatika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your compassions.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَمَالِكَ بِأَكْمَلِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min kamalika bi-akmalihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your perfection that brings to fullness,

وَكُلُّ كَمَالِكَ كَامِلٌ

wa kullu kamalika kamilun

and all Your perfections are total and whole,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَمَالِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bikamalika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your perfections.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ كَلِمَاتِكَ بِأَتَمّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min kalimatika bi-atammha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Words that elaborate and conclude;

وَكُلُّ كَلِمَاتِكَ تَامّةٌ

wa kullu kalimatika tammatun

and all Your words are complete and perfect;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bikalimatika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Words.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ أَسْمَائِكَ بِأَكْبَرِهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min asma’ika bi-akbariha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Names that make great,

وَكُلُّ أَسْمَائِكَ كَبِيرَةٌ

wa kullu asma’ika kabiratun

and all Your Names are important;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَسْمَائِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka biasma’ika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Names:

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِزّتِكَ بِأَعَزّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min `izztika bi-a`azza

O Allah I beseech You to give me from Your authority that surpasses in honor and power,

وَكُلُّ عِزّتِكَ عَزِيزَةٌ

wa kullu `izzatika `azizatun

and all Your authorities are rare and supreme,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزّتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bi`izzatika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your authorities.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَشِيئَتِكَ بِأَمْضَاهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min mashi-atika bi-amdaha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Will that (simultaneously) takes effect,

وَكُلُّ مَشِيئَتِكَ مَاضِيَةٌ

wa kullu mashiiatika madiyatun

and all Your wills are (at once) executed;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَشِيئَتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bimashi-atika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your wills.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ بِالْقُدْرَةِ الّتِي اسْتَطَلْتَ بِهَا عَلَى كُلّ شَيْءٍ

allahumma inni as’aluka min qudratika bilqudrati allaty astatalta biha `ala kulli shay‘in

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your that omnipotence which controls everything,

وَكُلُّ قُدْرَتِكَ مُسْتَطِيلَةٌ

wa kullu qudratika mustatilatun

and at all events Your omnipotence dominates.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka biqudratika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your all-embracing omnipotence.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عِلْمِكَ بِأَنْفَذِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min `ilmika bi-anfadhihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Wisdom that pierces through and enforces,

وَكُلُّ عِلْمِكَ نَافِذٌ

wa kullu `ilmika nafidhun

and Your Wisdom is altogether effective,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bi`ilmika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your Wisdom.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ قَوْلِكَ بِأَرْضَاهُ

allahumma inni as’aluka min qawlika bi-ardahu

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your promise which always is fulfilled,

وَكُلُّ قَوْلِكَ رَضِيّ

wa kullu qawlika radiyyun

and all Your promises are kept and fulfilled,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِقَوْلِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka biqawlika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your promises.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَسَائِلِكَ بِأَحَبّهَا إلَيْكَ

allahumma inni as’aluka min masa’ilika bi-ahabbha ilayka

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your Channels which are most dear to You,

وَكُلُّ مَسَائِلِكَ إلَيْكَ حَبِيبَةٌ

wa kullu masa’ilika ilayka habibatun

and all that which is dear to You is most desirable,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَسَائِلِكَ كُلّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bimasa’ilika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your Channels.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ شَرَفِكَ بِأَشْرَفِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min sharafika bi-ashrafihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your distinctions that vie in glory,

وَكُلُّ شَرَفِكَ شَرِيفٌ

wa kullu sharafika sharifun

and all Your distinctions are noble;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَرَفِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bisharafika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your distinctions.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ سُلْطَانِكَ بِأَدْوَمِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min sultanika bi-adwamihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your sovereignty which lasts and continues forever,

وَكُلُّ سُلْطَانِكَ دَائِمٌ

wa kullu sultanika da’imun

and for all times Your sovereignty is everlasting;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bisultanika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your absolute sovereignty.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مُلْكِكَ بِأَفْخَرِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min mulkika bi-afkharihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your kingdom that surpasses in glory and nobility,

وَكُلُّ مُلْكِكَ فَاخِرٌ

wa kullu mulkika fakhirun

and in reality Your kingdom alone is the most celebrated and magnificent;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمُلْكِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bimulkika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your unlimited kingdom.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَلاءِكَ بِأَعْلاهُ

allahumma inni as’aluka min `ala’ika bi-a`lahu

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your highest height that exalts,

وَكُلُّ عَلاءِكَ عَالٍ

wa kullu `ala’ika `alin

and Your eminence is altogether sublime;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَلاءِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bi`ala’ika kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of Your highest sublimeness.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ مَنّكَ بِأَقْدَمِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min mannka bi-aqdamihi

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your bounties which always move ahead, come in advance,

وَكُلُّ مَنّكَ قَدِيمٌ

wa kullu mannka qadimun

and all Your bounties are eternal,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَنِّكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bimannka kullihi

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your bounties.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ آيَاتِكَ بِأَعْجَبِهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka min ayatika bi-a`jabiha

O Allah I ask You to give me from Your signs; the most wonderful of them,

وَكُلُّ آيَاتِكَ عَجيبَةٌ

wa kullu ayatika `ajibatun

and all Your signs are wonderful;

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بآيَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا

allahumma inni as’aluka bi-ayatika kulliha

O Allah I beseech You in the name of all Your signs,

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min fadlika bi-afdalihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors;

وَكُلُّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ

wa kullu fadlika fadilun

and all Your favors are excellent.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bifadlika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِأَعَمّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min rizqika bi-a`ammhi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance;

وَكُلُّ رِزْقِكَ عَامّ

wa kullu rizqika `ammun

and all Your sustenance is widespread.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka birizqika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِأَهْنَئِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min `ata’ika bi-ahna’ihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal;

وَكُلُّ عَطَائِكَ هَنِيءٌ

wa kullu `ata’ika hani‘

and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَطَائِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bi`ata’ika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِأَعْجَلِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min khayrika bi-a`jalihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare;

وَكُلُّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ

wa kullu khayrika `ajilun

and Your entire welfare is instant.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bikhayrika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ إحْسَانِكَ بِأَحْسَنِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka min ihsanika bi-ahsanihi

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence;

وَكُلُّ إحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ

wa kullu ihsanika hasanun

and Your entire benevolence is excellent.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِإحْسَانِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka biihsanika kullihi

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ

allahumma inni as’aluka bima tujibuny bihi hina as’aluka

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ

fajibny ya allahu

therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ

allahumma inni as’aluka bima tujibuny bihi hina as’aluka

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all that through which You may respond to me if I beseech You;

نَعَمْ دَعَوتُكَ يا اَللهُ

na`am da`awtuka ya allahu

Yes, I have besought You, O Allah.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِمَا أَنْتَ فِيهِ مِنَ الشُّؤونِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ

allahumma bima anta fihi mina alshshu’uni wal-jabaruti

O Allah: (I beseech You) in the name of all authorities and powers that You enjoy.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَأنِكَ وَجَبَروتِكَ كُلِّها

allahumma inni as’aluka bisha’nika wa jabarutika kulliha

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of all of Your authorities and powers.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِهِ

allahumma inni as’aluka bima tujibuny bihi hina as’aluka bih

O Allah: I ask You to give me whereby You gives answer to my supplication whenever I turn to You,

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللّهُ

fa-ajibny ya allahu

So, (please) respond to me, O Allah.

صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

Send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

O Allah: send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

وَابْعَثْني عَلَى الاِيمَانِ بِكَ

Wab`athni `ala al’imani bika

and resurrect me abiding by the believing in You,

وَالتّصْدِيقِ بِرَسُولِكَ

wal-ttasdiqi birasulika

giving credence to Your Messenger,

وَالوِلايَةِ لِعَلِيّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِما السَّلامُ

wal-wilayati li`aliyyi bni aby talibin `alayhima alssalamu

being faithful to `Ali ibn Abu-Talib—peace be upon both of them;

وَالإئْتِمامِ بِالأئِمَّةِ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wal-i’timami bil-a’immati min ali muhammadin

being following the (Divinely commissioned) leadership of the Imams from the Household of Muhammad

وَالبَرَاءَةِ مِنْ عَدُوّهِمْ

wal-bara‘ati min `aduwwihim

And disavowing their enemy.

فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَضِيتُ يَا رَبّي بِذلِكَ

fa’inni qad raditu ya rabby bidhlika

My Lord, I have accepted such.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli ‘ala muhammadin wa-ali muhammad(in)

O Allah: send blessings on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad

وَأَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الخَيْرِ: رِضْوانَكَ وَالجَنَّةَ

wa as’aluka khayral-khayri ridwanaka wal-jannata

And I beseech You for the best of the goodness: Your pleasure and Paradise;

وَأعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّرِّ: سَخَطِكَ وَالنّارِ

wa a`udhu bika min sharri alshsharri sakhatika wannari

And I seek Your protection against the most evil of the evil: Your wrath and Hellfire.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin ,

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

وَاحْفَظْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ مُصِيبَةٍ وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ

wahfazhniy min kulli musiibatin wakulli baliyyatin,

And safeguard me against all misfortunes and all ordeals

وَمِنْ كُلِّ عُقوبَةٍ

wamin kulli `uqubatin,

And all punishments

وَمِنْ كُلِّ فِتْنَةٍ

wamin kulli fitnatin,

And all seditious matters

وَمِنْ كُلِّ بَلاءٍ

wamin kulli bala‘in,

And all trials

وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ

wamin kulli sharrin,

And all evils

وَمِنْ كُلِّ مَكْروهٍ

wamin kulli makruhin,

And all tribulations

وَمِنْ كُلِّ مُصِيبَةٍ

wamin kulli musiibatin,

And all misfortunes

وَمِنْ كُلِّ آفَةٍ

wamin kulli afatin,

And all catastrophes

نَزَلَتْ أو تَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ إلى الأرْضِ في هذِهِ السّاعَةِ

nazalat aw tanzilu mina alssama‘i ili alardi fy hdhihi alssa`ati,

That have already or will ascend from the heavens to the earth at this very hour,

وَفي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

wafy hdhihi alllaylati,

And at this night

وَفي هذا اليَوْمِ

wafy hdha aliawmi,

And on this day

وَفي هذا الشَّهْرِ

wafy hdha alshshahri,

And in this month

وَفي هذِهِ السَّنَةِ

wafy hdhihi alssanati.

And in this year.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma sall `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin,

O Allah: (please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

وَاقْسِمْ لي مِنْ كُلِّ سُرورٍ

waqsim ly min kulli sururin,

And decide for me a portion from all pleasant things,

وَمِنْ كُلِّ بَهْجَةٍ

wamin kulli bahjatin,

And all joys

وَمِنْ كُلِّ اسْتِقامَةٍ

wamin kulli astiqamatin,

And all straightness

وَمِنْ كُلِّ فَرَجٍ

wamin kulli farajin,

And all relief

وَمِنْ كُلِّ عافِيَةٍ

wamin kulli `afiyatin,

And all well-being

وَمِنْ كُلِّ سَلامَةٍ

wamin kulli salamatin,

And all safety

وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرامَةٍ

wamin kulli karamatin,

And all honor

وَمِنْ كُلِّ رِزْقٍ واسِعٍ حَلالٍ طَيِّبٍ

wamin kulli rizqin wasi`in halalin tayyibin,

And all items of sustenance that is expansive, legally gotten, and pleasant

وَمِنْ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ

wamin kulli ni`matin,

And all graces

وَمِنْ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ

wamin kulli hasanatin,

And all advantageous things

نَزَلَتْ أو تَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ إلى الأرْضِ في هذِهِ السّاعَةِ

nazalat aw tanzilu mina alssama‘i ili alardi fy hdhihi alssa`ati

That have already or will ascend from the heavens to the earth at this very hour,

وَفي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

wafy hdhihi alllaylati,

And at this night

وَفي هذا اليَوْمِ

wafy hdha aliawmi,

And on this day

وَفي هذا الشَّهْرِ

wafy hdha alshshahri,

And in this month

وَفي هذِهِ السَّنَةِ

wafy hdhihi alssanati.

And in this year.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إنْ كانَتْ ذُنوبي قَدْ أخْلَقَتْ وَجْهِيَ عِنْدَكَ

aalllhumma in kanat dhunuby qad akhlaqat wajhiia `indaka,

O Allah: If my sins have deformed my face in Your view

وَحالَتْ بَيني وَبَيْنَكَ

wahalat bayny wabaynaka,

And have thus cut the path taking me to You

أوْ غَيَّرَتْ حالي عِنْدَكَ

aw ghayyarat haly `indaka,

And have changed my status with You,

فَإِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِنورِ وَجْهِكَ الكَريمِ الَّذي لَمْ يُطْفَأ

fainny asaluka binuri wajhika alkarimi alladhy lam yutfa’,

Then, I beseech You in the name of the Light of Your Magnanimous Face that is never extinguished,

وَبِوَجْهِ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفى

wabiuajhi habiibika muhammadin almustafi,

And in the name of the face of Your Chosen Prophet, Muhammad,

وَبِوَجْهِ وَلِيِّكَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضى

wabiuajhi waliiiika `aliiiin almurtadi,

And in the name of the face of Your well-pleased servant, `Ali,

وَبِحَقِّ أوْلِيائِكَ الَّذينَ أَنْتَجَبْتَهُمْ

wabihaqqi awliya’ika alladhina antajabtahum,

And in the name of Your intimate servants that You have selected,

أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliia `ali muhammadin wali muhammadin,

(I beseech You) that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأنْ تَغْفِرَ لي وَلِوالِدَيَّ وَما وَلَدا

Wa’an taghfira ly waliualidayya wama walada,

And forgive for me, for my parents, and for all their offspring

وَلِلمُؤْمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِناتِ

walilmuu´minina walmuu´minati,

And forgive for the believing men and women

وَما تَوالَدوا

wama tawaladua,

And for all their offspring

ذُنوبَنا كُلَّهَا

dhunubana kullaha,

All our sins,

صَغيرَها وَكَبيرَها

saghiraha wakabiraha,

Including the insignificant and the major,

وَأنْ تَخْتِمَ لَنا بِالصّالِحاتِ

wa'an takhtima lana bialssalihati,

And that You seal our lives with righteous deeds,

وَأنْ تَقْضِيَ لَنا الحَاجاتِ وَالمُهِمّاتِ

wa'an taqdiia lana alhajati walmuhimmati,

And that You settle our needs and important desires,

وَصالِحَ الدُّعاءِ وَالمَسْأَلَةِ

wasaliha alddu`a‘i walmas’alati,

And that You respond to us our well-intended prayers and requests;

فَاسْتَجِبْ لَنا

fastajib lana,

So, (please), respond to us,

بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

bihaqqi muhammadin walihi.

In the name of Muhammad and his Household.

اللّهُم صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

allahumma sall `ala muhammdin wali muhammdin ,

O Allah: (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

آمينَ آمينَ آمينَ

amina amina amina,

(please) respond; (please) respond; (please) respond;

ما شاءَ اللهُ كانَ

ma sha‘a allhu kana,

Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass.

لا حَولَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا باللهِ

la hawla wala quwwata illa ballahi,

There is no power and no might except with Allah.

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ

subhana rabbika rabbi al`izzati `amma yasifuwna,

Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.

وَسَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ

wasalamun `ala almursaliina

And peace be on the messengers.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

walhamdu lillahi rabbi al`alamiina.

And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

يَا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

ya la ilaha illa anta

O He but Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَظيمٌ

asaluka bihaqqi man haqquhu `alayka `azhimun,

I beseech You in the name of those whose names enjoy a great regard with You

بِلا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

bila ilaha illa anta,

And in the name of there is no god save You

أَسْأَلُكَ بِبَهاءِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bibaha‘i la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the luminosity of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلالِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bijalali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the majesty of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَمالِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bijamali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta.

I beseech You in the name of the splendor of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِنورِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka binuri la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the light of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَمالِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bikamali la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta,

I beseech You in the name of the excellency of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِزَّةِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bi`izzati la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the honor of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِعِظَمِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bi`izhami la ilha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the grandeur of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِقَولِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka biqawli la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the saying of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِشَرَفِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bisharafi la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the dignity of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَلاءِ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bi`ala‘i la ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of the elevation of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

أَسْأَلُكَ بِلا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

asaluka bila ilaha illa anta ya la ilaha illa anta

I beseech You in the name of there is no god save You, O He save Whom there is no god

يا رَبّاهُ يا رَبّاهُ يا رَبّاهُ

ya rabbahu ya rabbahu ya rabbahu…

O my Lord; O my Lord; O my Lord

أَسْأَلُك يَا سَيِّدي

as'aluka ya sayyidi

I beseech You; O my Master:

يَا اَللهُ يا رَبّاهُ

ya allahu ya rabbahu

O Allah; O my Lord:

يا سَيِّداهُ يا مَولاهُ يا غِياثاهُ يا مَلْجَآهُ

ya sayyidahu ya mawlahu ya ghiyathahu ya malja-ahu

O my Master; O my Lord: O my Aide; O my Shelter;

يا مُنتَهى غايَةِ رَغْبَتاهُ

ya muntaha ghayati raghbatahu

O the Ultimate goal of my all desires;

يا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy;

أَسْأَلُكَ فَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ

as'aluka falaysa kamithlika shay’un

I beseech You, for nothing is like You

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ دَعْوَةٍ مُسْتَجابَةٍ دَعاكَ بِها نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ أوْ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ

wa as’aluka bikulli da`watin mustajabatin da`aka biha nabiyyun mursalun aw malakun muqarrabun

And I beseech You with every responded prayer that has been addressed to You by a missioned Prophet or a favorite angel

أوْ عَبْدٌ مُؤمِنٌ امْتَحَنْتَ قَلْبَهُ لِلإيمانِ

aw `abdun mu’minun imtahanta qalbahu lil-imani

Or a faithful servant (of You) whose heart has been tried by You to carry faith

وَاسْتَجَبْتَ دَعْوَتَهُ مِنْهُ

wastajabta da`watahu minhu

And then You responded to his prayer.

وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ

wa atawajjahu ilayka bimuhammadin nabiyyika nabiyyi alrrahmati

I turn my face towards You asking You in the name of Your Prophet, Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy

وَأُقَدِّمُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي

wa uqaddimuhu bayna yaday haw’iji

And I seek his intercession before You for the sake of Your settlement of my need

يا مُحَمَّدُ يا رَسولَ اللهِ

ya muhammadu ya rasulal-llahi

O Muhammad: O the Messenger of Allah;

بِأَبي أَنْتَ وَاُمِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكَ إلى رَبِّكَ وَرَبّي

bi-abi anta wa-ummi atawajjahu bika ila rabbika wa rabbi

May Allah accept my father and mother as ransoms for you! In your name do I turn my and your Lord;

وَأُقَدِّمُكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي

wa uqaddimuka bayna yaday haw’iji

And I seek your intercession for the sake of the Lord’s settling my needs.

يَا رَبّاهُ يَا رَبّاهُ يَا رَبّاهُ

ya rabbahu ya rabbahu ya rabbahu

O my Lord; O my Lord; O my Lord;

أَسْأَلُكَ بِكَ

as'aluka bika

I beseech You by Your sake,

فَلَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ

falaysa kamithlika shay’un

For there is nothing like You.

وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ حَبيبِكَ

wa atawajjahu ilayka bimuhammadin habibika

And I turn my face towards You, asking You in the name of Muhammad, Your most beloved one,

وَبِعِتْرَتِهِ الهادِيَةِ

wa bi`itratihil-hadiyati

And in the name of his offspring—the guide ones,

وَأُقَدِّمُهُم بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوائِجي

wa uqaddimuhum bayna yaday hawa’iji

And I seek their intercession for the sake of Your settling my needs.

وَأَسْأَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ بِحَياتِكَ الَّتي لا تَموتُ

wa as’aluka allahumma bihayatika allaty la tamutu

And I beseech You in the name of Your everl-ivingness, since You never dies,

وَبِنورِ وَجْهِكَ الّذي لا يُطْفَأُ

wabinuri wajhika alladhy la yutfa’u

And in the name of the Light of Your Face that is never extinguished

وَبِعَيْنِكَ الّتي لا تَنامُ

wa bi`aynika allaty la tanamu

And in the name of Your Eye that never sleeps

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَظيمٌ

asaluka bihaqqi man haqquhu `alayka `azhimun

I beseech You in the name of those whose names enjoy a great regard with You

أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliia `ali muhammadin wali muhammadin,

That You may send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

qabla kulli shay’in

Before everything,

وَبَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa ba`da kulli shay’in

And after everything,

وَعَدَدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa `adada kulli shay’in

And as many as all things,

وَزِنَةَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa zinata kulli shay’in

And as weighty as all things,

وَمِلْءَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

wa mil’a kulli shay’in

And as full as all things

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ المُصْطَفى

allahumma inni as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin `abdika almustafa

O Allah: I beseech You to send blessings upon Muhammad—Your chosen servant

وَرَسولِكَ المُرْتَضى

wa rasulika almurtada

And Your well-pleased Messenger

وَأَمينِكَ المُصْطفى وَنَجيبِكَ دُونَ خَلْقِكَ

wa aminika almustafa wa najibika duna khalqika

And Your Chosen Trustee and Your selected one among all Your creatures,

وَحَبيبِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ أجْمَعينَ

wahabibika wakhiyaratika min khalqika ajma`in

And Your most beloved one, and Your elect among all Your beings.

النَّذيرِ البَشيرِ السِّراجِ المُنيرِ

alnnadhiri albashiri alssiraji almunir

The Warner, the Bearer of good tidings, and the luminous lantern.

وَعَلى أهْلِ بَيتِهِ الطَّيِّبينَ الطّاهِرينَ المُطَهَّرينَ الأخْيارِ الأبْرار

wa `ala ahli baytihi alttayyibina alttahirina al-akhyari al-abrari

And upon his Household—the pure, the immaculate, the purified, the virtuous, and the pious,

وَعَلَى مَلائِكَتِكَ الّذِينَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa `ala mala’ikatika alladhina istakhlastahum linafsika wa hajabtahum `an khalqika

And upon Your angels whom You have chosen for Yourself and screened from Your creatures,

وَعَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ الّذِينَ يُنْبِئُونَ بِالصّدْقِ عَنْكَ

wa `ala anbiya’ika alladhina yunabbi’una bilssidqi `anka

And upon Your Prophets who convey truly from You

وَعَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

wa `ala `ibadika alssalihina

And upon Your righteous servants,

اَلَّذينَ أدْخَلْتَهُمْ في رَحْمَتِكَ

alladhina adkhaltahum fi rahmatika

Whom You have included with Your mercy;

اَلأئِمَّةِ المُهْتَدينَ الرّاشِدينَ المُطَهَّرينَ

al-a’immati almuhtadina alrrashidina almutahharina

The leaders, the well-guided, the orthodox, the purified,

وَعَلى جِبْرَيئلَ وَميكائِيلَ وَإسْرافِيلَ

wa `ala jibra’ila wa mika’ila wa israfila

And upon (Archangels) Gabriel, and Michael, and Israfil,

وَمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَرِضْوانَ خازِنِ الجَنَّةِ

wa malakil-mawti wa ridwana khazinil-jinani

And the Angel of Death, and Ridwan the doorkeeper of Paradise,

وَمالِكٍ خَازِنِ النَارِ

wa malikin khazinin-nari

And Malik the doorkeeper of Hell,

وَالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ

walrruhil-qudusi

And the Holy Spirit

وَحَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ وَمُنْكَرٍ وَنَكيرٍ

wa hamalatil-`arshi wa munkarin wa nakirin

And the Bearers of the (Divine) Throne, and Munkar and Nakir

وَعَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ الحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيّ

wa `ala almalakayni alhafizayni `alayya

And the two angels whom are in charge of supervising me

بِالصّلاةِ الّتِي تُحِبّ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ بِها عَلَيْهِمْ

bilssalari allati tuhibbu an tusalliya biha `alayhim

(please bless them all) with the blessing that You like to bless them with;

صَلاةً كَثيرَةً طَيِّبَةً مُبارَكَةً زاكِيَةً نامِيَةً

salatan kathiratan tayyibatan mubarakatan zakiyatan namiyatan

(Let it be) a blessing that is abundant, pure, holy, genuine, growing,

طاهِرَةً شَريفَةً فاضِلَةً

tahiratan sharifatan fadilatan

deep, honorable, and virtuous

تُبَيّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَى الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ

tubayyinu biha fadlahum `ala al-awwalina wal-akhirina

through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِي

allahumma inni as’aluka an tasma`a sawti

O Allah: I beseech You to hear my voice,

وَتُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي

wa tujiba da`wati

And to respond to my prayer,

وَتَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبِي

wa taghfira dhunubi

And to forgive my sins,

وَتُنْجِحَ طَلِبَتِي

wa tunjiha talibati

And to give success to my prayer,

وَتَقْضِيَ حَاجَاتِي

wa taqdiya hajati

And to settle my needs,

وَتَقْبَلَ قِصَّتِي

wa taqbala qissati

And to accept my excuses

وَتُنْجِزَ لي ما وَعَدْتَنِي

wa tunjiza li ma wa`adtani

And to fulfill Your promise to me,

وَتُقيلَني عَثْرَتي

wa tuqilani `athrati

And to let off my offense,

وَتَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي

wa tatajawaza `an khati’ati

And to overlook my sins,

وَتَصْفَحَ عَنْ ظُلْمِي

wa tasfaha `an zulmi

And to excuse my wrongdoings,

وَتَعْفُوَ عَنْ جُرْمِي

wa ta`fwa `an jurmi

And to pardon my evildoings,

وَتُقْبِلَ عَلَيَّ

wa tuqbila `alayya

And to be always present for me

وَلا تُعْرِضَ عَنّي

wa la tu`rida `anni

And never reject me

وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَلا تُعَذّبَنِي

wa tarhamany wa la tu`adhdhibani

And to have mercy upon me and not to punish me,

وَتُعَافِيَنِي وَلا تَبْتَلِيَنِي

wa tu`afiyany wa la tabtaliyani

And to grant me good health and not to afflict me,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنَ الرّزْقِ أَطْيَبَهُ وَأَوْسَعَهُ

wa tarzuqany mina alrrzqi atiyabahu wa awsa`ahu

And to grant me from the nicest and most extensive sustenance

وَأهْنَأَهُ وَأَمْرَأَهُ

wa ahna’ahu wa amra’ahu

And most pleasant and most wholesome

وَأَسْبَغَهُ وَأكْثَرَهُ

wa asbaghahu wa akhtharahu

And most plentiful and most abundant

وَلا تَحْرِمَني يا رَبِّ دِيني وَأمانَتي

wa la tahrimni ya rabbi dini wa amanati

And not to deprive me, O my Lord, of my faith and belief trusted with me

وَضَعْ عَنِّي وِزْري

wa da` `anni wizri

And (please) relieve me of my burdens;

وَلا تُحَمِّلْني ما لا طاقَةَ لي به

wa la tuhammilny ma la taqata li bihi

and do not impose on me that which I have not the strength to bear.

يا مَولايَ

ya mawlaya

O my Master;

وَأدْخِلْني في كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أدْخَلْتَ فيهِ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa adkhilny fi kull khayrin adkhalta fihi muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

And (please do) include me with every good item that You have chosen from Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَأخْرِجْني مِنْ كُلِّ سوءٍ أخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنْهُ

wa akhrijny min kulli su‘in akhrajtahum minhu

and take me out of any evil from which You have saved them

وَلا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْني وَبَيْنَهُمْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ أبَداً في الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ

wa la tufarriq bayni wa baynahum tarfata `aynin abadan fiddunya wal-akhirati

And never separate me from them for even a twinkling of an eye neither in this worldly life nor in the Hereafter.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartany fastajib li kama wa`adtani

O Allah: I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ قَلِيلاً مِنْ كَثِيرٍ

allahumma inni as’aluka qalilan min kathirin

O Allah, I ask You for a little from the very much,

مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِي إلَيْهِ عَظِيمَةٍ

ma`a hajatin by ilayhi `azimatin

in the midst of my many needs for which I entirely depend on You,

وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيمٌ

wa ghinaka `anhu qadimun

and You, since eternity, are able to do without them,

وَهُوَ عِنْدِي كَثِيرٌ

wa huwa `indy kathirun

but for me it is titanic

فَامْنُنْ بِهِ عَلَيّ إنّكَ عَلَى كُلّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

famnun bihi `alayya innaka `ala kulli shay‘in qadirun

So, (please do) bestow upon me with them, for You have power over all things.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي الصَّالِحِينَ فَأَدْخِلْنَا

allahumma birahmatika fi alssalihina fa-adkhilna

O Allah: (please do) include us with the righteous ones, out of Your mercy.

وَفِي عِلّيّينَ فَارْفَعْنَا

wa fi `illiyyina farfa`na

And uplift us to the rank of `illiyyin (most elevated rank).

وَبِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ مِنْ عَيْنٍ سَلْسَبِيلٍ فَاسْقِنَا

wa bikasin min ma`inin min `aynin salsabilin fasqina

And serve us with water running out of spring of Salsabil.

وَمِنَ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فَزَوّجْنَا

wa mina alhuri al`ini birahmatika fazawwijna

And, out of Your mercy, give us as wives the women of Paradise.

وَمِنَ الْوِلْدَانِ الْمُخَلّدِينَ كَأَنّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ فَأَخْدِمْنَا

wa mina alwildani almukhalldina ka-annahum lu´lu´un maknunun fa-akhdimna

And make the Paradisiacal youths who never alter in age and who are like hidden pearls serve us.

وَمِنْ ثِمَارِ الْجَنّةِ وَلُحُومِ الطّيْرِ فَأَطْعِمْنَا

wa min thimari aljannati wa luhumi alttiri fat`imna

And give us food from the fruits of Paradise and from the meat of birds there.

وَمِنْ ثِيَابِ السّنْدُسِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَالإسْتَبْرَقِ فَأَلْبِسْنَا

wa min thiyabi alssundusi wal-hariri wal-istabraqi fa-albisna

And dress us from the clothes of fine and thick silk and rich brodace.

وَلَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ

wa laylata alqadri

And give us success to catch the Grand Night

وَحَجّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

wa hajj baytika alharami

The pilgrimage to Your Holy House,

وَقَتْلاً فِي سَبِيلِكَ مَعَ وَلِيِّكَ فَوَفّقْ لَنَا

wa qatlan fi sabilika ma`a waliyyika fawaffiq lana

And the martyrdom in Your way under the pennon of Your Representative.

وَصَالِحَ الدّعَاءِ وَالْمَسْأَلَةِ فَاسْتَجِبْ لَنَا

wa saliha aldd`a‘i wal-masalati fastajib lana

And respond to our goodly prayer and invocation.

يَا خَالِقَنَا اسْمَعْ وَاسْتَجِبْ لَنا

ya khaliqana isma` wastajib lana

O our Creator: (please) listen to (our prayer) and respond to us.

وَإذَا جَمَعْتَ الأَوّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَارْحَمْنَا

wa idha jama`ta al-awwalina wal-akhirina yawma alqiyamati farhamna

And when You shall gather the past and the coming generations on the Resurrection Day, (please) have mercy upon us.

وَبَرَاءَةً مِنَ النَّارِ وَأماناً مِنَ العَذابِ فَاكْتُبْ لَنَا

wa bara‘atan mina alnnari wa amanan minal-`dhabi faktub lana

And (please) release us from Hellfire and secure us against the chastisement.

وَفِي جَهَنّمَ فَلا تَغُلّنَا

wa fi jahannama fala taghullana

And do not fetter us in Hell.

وَمَعَ الشّيَاطِينِ فَلا تَقْرٌنّا

wa ma`a alshshayatini fala taqrunna

And do not add us to the devils.

وَفِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِنَا فَلا تَكْبُبْنَا

wa fi alnnari `ala wujuhina fala takbubna

And do not throw us down on our faces in Hellfire.

وَفي هَوانِكَ وَعَذابِكَ فَلا تَقْلُبْنا

wa fi hawanika wa `adhabika fala taqlubna

And do not make us turn over in Your humiliation and in Your chastisement.

وَمِنَ الزّقّومِ وَالضّرِيعِ فَلا تُطْعِمْنَا

wa mina alzzuqqumi wal-ddari`i fala tut`imna

And do not feed us from zaqqum and thorns.

وَفِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِنَا فَلا تَكْبُبْنَا

wa fi alnnari `ala wujuhina fala takbubna

And do not throw us down on our faces in Hellfire.

وَمِنْ ثِيَابِ النَّارِ وَسَرَابِيلِ الْقَطِرَانِ فَلا تُلْبِسْنَا

wa min thiabi alnnari wa sarabili alqatirani fala tulbisna

And do not dress us from the clothes of fire and the shirts of pitchl

وَمِنْ كُلّ سُوءٍ يَا لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ بِحَقّ لا إلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَنَجّنَا

wa min kulli su‘in ya la ilaha illa anta bihaqqi la ilaha illa anta fanajjina

And save us from all evils; O there is no god save You, I beseech You in the name of there is no god save You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إني أَسْأَلُكَ وَلَمْ يُسْألْ مِثْلُكَ

allahumma inni as’aluka wa lam yus’al mithluka

O Allah: I am beseeching You, and there is none like You to be besought.

وَأرْغَبُ إلَيْكَ وَلَمْ يُرْغَبْ إلى مِثْلِكَ

wa arghabu ilayka wa lam yurghab ila mithlika

and to You do I desire, and there is none like You to be desired.

يَا رَبِّ أَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ مَسْألَةِ السّائِلينَ

ya rabbi anta mawdi`u mas’alati alssa’ilina

O my Lord: It is You Who is the object of the requests of the beseechers,

وَمُنْتَهى رَغْبَةِ الرّاغِبِينَ

wa muntaha raghbati alrraghibina

and it is You Who is the ultimate goal of the desire of those who have desires.

أَسْأَلُكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ بِأفْضَلِ أسْمائِكَ كُلِّها وَأنْجَحِها

as’aluka allahumma bi-afdali asma’ika kulliha wa anjahiha

I beseech You, O Allah, in the name of the best and the most effective of all Your (Excellent) Names

يا اَللهُ يا رَحْمانُ

ya allahu ya rahmanu

O Allah; O the All-beneficent,

وَبِاسْمِكَ المَخْزونِ المَصُونِ الأعَزِّ الأَجَلِّ الأعْظَمِ الَّذي تُحِبُّهُ وَتَهْواهُ

wa bismika almakhzuni almasuni al-a`azzi al-ajalli al-a`zami alladhi tuhibbuhu wa tahwahu

and I beseech You by Your Name—the sealed, the reserved, the mightiest, the loftiest, the greatest,; that You love and like,

وَتَرْضى عَمَّنْ دَعاكَ بِهِ

wa tarda `amman da`aka bihi

and that You are pleased with him who prays You by it,

وَتَسْتَجيبَ لَهُ دُعاءَهُ

wa tastajibu lahu du`a’ahu

and thus You answer his prayers.

وَحَقَّ عَلَيْكَ يا رَبِّ أنْ لا تَحْرِمَ سائِلَكَ

wa haqqa `alayka ya rabbi an la tahrima sa’ilaka

It is incumbent upon You, O Lord, that You never disappoint him who beseeches You.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ

allahumma inni as’aluka bikulli ismin huwa laka

O Allah: I do beseech You by every name that belongs to You,

دَعاكَ بِهِ عَبْدٌ هُوَ لَكَ

da`aka bihi `abdun huwa laka

and by which a servant of You has prayed You

في بَرٍّ أوْ بَحْرٍ

fi barrin aw bahrin

in a land or in a sea

أوْ سَهْلٍ أوْ جَبَلٍ

aw sahlin aw jabalin

or in a plain or on a mountain

أوْ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الحَرامِ

aw `inda baytika alharami

or at Your Sacred House,

أوْ في شَيْءٍ مِنْ سُبُلِكَ

aw fi shay’in min subulika

or in any of Your ways.

فَأَدْعُوكَ يا رَبِّ دُعاءَ مَنْ قَدِ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهُ

fa ad`uka ya rabbi du`a’a man qad ishtaddat faqatuh

So, I beseech You, O my Lord, the beseeching of him whose neediness is great

وَعَظُمَ جُرْمُهُ وَضَعُفَ كَدْحُهُ

wa `azuma jurmuhu

and whose offense is grave, and whose efforts are modest,

وَأشْرَفَتْ عَلى الهَلَكَةِ نَفْسُهُ

wa ashrafat `ala alhalakati nafsuhu

and who is about to perish

وَلَمْ يَثِقْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ

wa lam yathiq bishay’in min `ilmihi

and who has no trust in any of his deeds

وَلَمْ يَجِدْ لِما هُوَ فيهِ سادّاً وَلا لِذَنْبِهِ غافِراً وَلا لِعَثْرَتِهِ مُقيلاً غَيْرُكَ

wa lam yajid lima huwa fihi saddan wa la lidhanbihi ghafiran wa la li`athratihi muqilan ghayruka

and who has not found anyone who can make up for him or can forgive his sin or can overlook his slips save You,

هارِباً إلَيْكَ

hariban ilayka

He is thus resorting to You,

مُتَعَوِّذاً بِكَ

muta`awwidhan bika

seeking Your refuge,

مُتَعَبِّداً لَكَ

muta`abbidan laka

worshipping You,

غَيْرَ مُسْتَنْكِفٍ وَلا مُسْتَكْبِرٍ

ghayra mustankifin wa la mustakbirin

showing no disdain, no pride,

وَلا مُسْتَحْسِرٍ وَلا مُتَجَبِّرٍ

wa la mustahsirin wa la mutajabbirin

no arrogance, no condescension,

وَلا مُتَعَظِّمٍ

wa la muta`azzimin

and no aloofness;

بَلْ بائِسٍ فَقيرٍ

bal ba’isin faqirin

rather, he is miserable, needy,

خَائِفٍ مُسْتَجِيرٍ

kha’ifin mustajirin

fearful, and seeking shelter.

أَسْأَلُكَ يا اَللهُ يا رَحْمانُ

as’aluka ya allahu ya rahmanu

I beseech You, O Allah, O the All-beneficent,

يَا حَنّانُ يا مَنّانُ

ya hannanu ya mannanu

O the All-tender, O the All-bestower of boons,

يا بَديعَ السَّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ

ya badi`a alssamawati wal-ardi

O the magnificent Maker of the heavens and the earth,

يَا ذا الجَلالِ وَالإكْرامِ

ya dhaljalali wal-ikrami

O the Lord of majesty and honor;

أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(I beseech You) to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

صَلاةً كَثيرَةً طَيِّبَةً

salatan kathiratan tayyibatan

blessings that are abundant, superb,

مُبارَكَةً نامِيَةً

mubarakatan namiyatan

sanctified, ever-increasing,

زاكِيَةً شَريفَةً

zakiyatan sharifatan

pure, and honorable.

أَسْأَلُكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ أنْ تَغْفِرَ لي في شَهْري هذا وَتَرْحَمَني

as’aluka allahumma an taghfira li fi shahri hadha wa tarhamani

I beseech You, O Allah, to forgive me in this month and to have mercy upon me

وَتَعْتِقَ رَقَبَتِي مِنَ النّارِ

wa ta`tiqa raqabati mina alnnari

and to release me from Hellfire

وَتُعْطِيَني فِيهِ خَيْرَ ما أَعْطَيْتَ بِهِ أحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa tu`tiyani fihi khayra ma a`tayta bihi ahadan min khalqika

and to grant me the best of that which You have ever given any of Your creatures

وَخَيْرَ ما أَنْتَ مُعْطِيهِ

wa khayra ma anta mu`tihi

and the best of that which You will ever give,

وَلا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ شَهْرِ رَمَضانَ صُمْتُهُ لَكَ مُنْذُ أسْكَنْتَنِي أرْضَكَ

wa la taj`alhu akhira shahri ramadana sumtuhu laka mundhu askantani ardaka

and (please) do not decide this month of Ramadan to be the last one in which I observe fasting for Your sake since You allowed me to live on Your lands

إلى يَوْمِي هَذا

ila yawmi hadha

up to this day;

بَلِ اجْعَلْهُ عَلَيَّ أتَمَّهُ نِعْمَةً وَأَعَمَّهُ عافِيَةً

bal ij`alhu `alayya atammahu wa a`ammahu `afiyatan

rather (please) make it the month of the most perfect bounty that You have ever conferred upon me and of the most excellent well-being that You have ever covered me with,

وَأوْسَعَهُ رِزْقاً

wa awsa`ahu rizqan

and of the most expansive sustenance that You have ever decided for me,

وَأجْزَلَهُ وَأهْنَأَهُ

wa ajzalahu wa ahna’ahu

and of the most profuse reward that You grant me and of the most pleasant times that have ever come upon me.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أعُوذُ بِكَ وَبِوَجْهِكَ الكَريمِ

allahumma inni a`udhu bika wa biwaj-hika alkarimi

O Allah: I do seek Your protection and the protection of Your Magnanimous Face,

وَمُلْكِكَ العَظِيمِ

wa mulkika al`azimi

and Your Majestic Kingdom,

أنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ يَومي هَذا

an taghruba alshshamsu min yawmi hadha

against that sun sets at the end of this day,

أوْ يَنْقَضِيَ هذا اليَوْمُ

aw yanqadiya hadha alyawmu

or this day comes to its end,

أوْ يَطْلُعَ الفَجْرُ مِنْ لَيلَتي هذِهِ

aw yatlu`a alfajru min laylati hadhihi

or this night dawns,

أوْ يَخْرُجَ هذا الشَّهْرُ

aw yakhruja hadha alshshahru

or this month elapses,

وَلَكَ قِبَلي تَبِعَةٌ أوْ ذَنْبٌ

wa laka qibali tabi`atun aw dhanbun

but there is still an offense of a sin due to which You shall punish me,

أوْ خَطيئَةٌ تُريدُ أنْ تُقايِسَني بِها

aw khati’atun turidu an tuqayisani biha

or a wrongdoing for which You may want to interrogate me,

أوْ تُؤاخِذَني بِها

aw tu’akhidhani biha

or punish me,

أوْ تُوقِفَنِي بِها مَوْقِفَ خِزْيٍ في الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ

aw tuqifani biha mawqifa khizyin fiddunya wal-akhirati

or put me in a disgraceful situation in this world or the next world,

أوْ تُعَذِّبَني يَوْمَ ألْقاكَ

aw tu`adhdhibani yawma alqaka

or chastise me on the day when I will meet You.

يا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ لِهَمّ لا يُفَرّجُهُ غَيْرُكَ

allahumma inni ad`uka lihammin la yufarrijuhu ghayruka

O Allah: I beseech You about a grief that none can relieve save You,

وَلِرَحْمَةٍ لا تُنَالُ إِلَّا بِكَ

wa lirahmatin la tunalu illa bika

And for mercy that cannot be attained except through You,

وَلِكَرْبٍ لا يَكْشِفُهُ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

wa likarbin la yakshifuhu illa anta

And about hardship from which none can rescue except You

وَلِرَغْبَةٍ لا تُبْلَغُ إِلَّا بِكَ

wa liraghbatin la tublaghu illa bika

And for desire that cannot be obtained except by You

وَلِحاجَةٍ لا تُقْضى دونَكَ

wa lihajatin la tuqda dunaka

And for a need that cannot be settled without Your intervention

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ مَا أرَدْتَنِي بِهِ مِنْ مَسْأَلَتِكَ

allahumma fakama kana min sha’nika ma aradtani bihi min mas’alatika

O Allah: As You have decided to allow me to pray You,

وَرَحِمْتَنِي بِهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ

wa rahimtany bihi min dhikrika

And as You have had mercy upon me through allowing me to refer to You,

فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ الإجَابَةُ لِي فِيمَا دَعَوْتُكَ

falyakun min shanika alijabatu li fima da`awtuka

So, please decide that my prayers are responded by You,

وَالنّجَاةُ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ إلَيْكَ فِيهِ

wal-nnajatu mimma fazi`tu ilayka fihi

And grant me redemption from that against which I have resorted to You.

أيَا مُلَيّنَ الحَدِيدِ لِدَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السّلامُ

aya mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda `alayhi alssalamu

O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David, peace be upon him;

يَا كَاشِفَ الضّرّ وَالكُرَبِ العِظَامِ عَنْ أَيّوبَ

ya kashifa alddurri wal-kurabi al`izami `an ayyuba

O He Who took off the harm and calamity that afflict (Prophet) Job;

وَمُفَرّجَ هَمّ يَعْقُوبَ

wa mufarrija hamm ya`quba

O He Who relieved the sorrow of (Prophet) Jacob;

وَمُنَفّسَ غَمّ يُوسُفَ

wa munaffisa ghammi yusufa

O He Who removed the grief of (Prophet) Joseph:

صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(Please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَافْعَلْ بِي مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ

waf`al by ma anta ahluhu

And (please) do to me that which befits You,

فَإِنّكَ أَهْلُ التّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ المَغْفِرَةِ

fa innaka ahlu alttaqwa wa ahlu almaghfirati

You are surely worthy of being feared and worthy of forgiving.

اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ ثِقَتِي فِي كُلِّ كَرْبٍ

allahumma anta thiqati fi kulli karbin

O Allah: I trust in You in hard times

وَرَجَائِي فِي كُلِّ شِدَّةٍ

wa raja’i fi kulli shiddatin

and confide in you hopefully in tribulations,

وَأَنْتَ لِي فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ نَزَلَ بِي ثِقَةٌ وَعِدَّةٌ

wa anta li fi kulli amrin nazala bi thiqatun wa `iddatun

and in You lie my faith and hope in every misfortune that inflicts me.

كَمْ مِنْ كَرْبٍ يَضْعُفُ فِيهِ الفُؤَادُ

kam min karbin yad`ufu fihi alfu’adu

Many were the griefs that crinkled my heart,

وَتَقِلُّ فِيهِ الحِيلَةُ

wa taqillu fihi alhilatu

were hardly curable,

وَيَخْذُلُ فِيهِ الصَّدِيقُ

wa yakhdhulu fihi alssadiqu

caused my friends to disappoint me,

وَيَشْمُتُ فِيهِ العَدُوُّ

wa yashmutu fihi al`aduwwu

and made my enemies rejoice (over my helplessness);

أَنْزَلْتُهُ بِكَ وَشَكَوْتُهُ إِلَيْكَ

anzaltahi bika wa shakawtahi ilayka

but when I relegated them –i.e. the griefs- to You and complained about them to You,

رَغْبَةً مِنِّي فِيهِ إِلَيْكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

raghbatan minni fihi `amman siwaka

because I heartily intended You, no one else,

فَفَرَّجْتَهُ وَكَشَفْتَهُ وَكَفَيْتَهُ

fa farrajtahu wa kashaftahu wa kafaytahu

You relieved and alleviated them and saved me from their consequences.

فَأَنْتَ وَلِيُّ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ

fa anta waliyyu kulli ni`matin

You are certainly the source of all graces,

وَصَاحِبُ كُلِّ حَسَنَةٍ

wa sahibu kulli hasanatin

the cause of all favors,

وَمُنْتَهىٰ كُلِّ رَغْبَةٍ

wa muntaha kulli raghbatin

and the only intention of aspirations.

أعوذُ بِكَلِماتِ اللهِ التّامّاتِ

a`udhu bikalimati allhi alttammati

I seek the protection of all of the Perfect Words of Allah

مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ

min sharri ma khalaqa min shay’in

against the evil of whatever thing He has created.

اَللّٰهُمَّ عافِني في يَومي هذا حَتّى أُمْسِي

allahumma `afini fi yawmi hadha hatta umsi

O Allah: (please) convey upon me with good health on this day up to the evening.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بَرَكَةَ يَوْمي هَذا

allahumma inni as’aluka barakata yawmi hadha

O Allah: I beseech You to grant me the blessing of this day

وَما نَزَلَ فِيهِ مِنْ عَافِيَةٍ وَمَغْفِرَةٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ وَرِضْوانٍ

wa ma nazala fihi min `afiyatin wa maghfiratin wa rahmatin wa ridwanin

as well as whatever has been descended on this day, including well-being, forgiveness, mercy, pleasure,

وَرِزْقٍ وَاسِعٍ حَلالٍ تَبْسُطُهُ عَلَيَّ وَعَلى وَالِدَيَّ وَوِلْدِي وَأهْلي وَعِيالِي وَأهْلِ حُزانَتِي

wa rizqin wasi`in halalin tabsutuhu `alayya wa `ala walidayya wa wildi wa ahli wa `iyali wa ahli huzanati

and sustenance that is expansive and legally gotten that You may extend it for me, for my parents, for my sons, for my wife, for my dependants, for my friends,

وَمَنْ أحْبَبْتُ وَأَحَبَّنِي

wa man ahbabtu wa ahabbani

for all those whom I love, for all thos who love me,

وَوَلَدْتُ وَوَلَدَني

wa waladtu wa waladani

for my descendants and for my ascendants.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّكِّ وَالشِّرْكِ

allahumma inni a`udhu bika min alshshakki walshshirki

O Allah: I seek Your protection against doubt and monotheism

وَالحَسَدِ وَالبَغْيِ

walhasadi walbaghyi

and envy and oppression

وَالحِمْيَةِ وَالغَضَبِ

walhimyati walghadabi

and fanaticism and rage.

اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّماواتِ السَّبْعِ

allahumma rabba alssamawati alssab`i

O Allah; the Lord of the Seven Skies

وَرَبَّ الأرَضينَ السَّبْعِ

wa rabba al-aradina alssab`i

and the Lord of the seven layers of the earth

وَما فِيهِنَّ وَما بَيْنَهُنَّ وَرَبَّ العَرْشِ العَظيمِ

wa ma fihinna wa ma baynahunna wa rabba al-`arshi al-`azimi

and whatever thing exists in and between them; and the Lord of the Great Throne:

صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ

salli `ala muhammadin wa alihi

(Please do) bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَاكْفِني المُهِمَّ مِنْ أمْري بِما شِئْتَ

wakfini almuhimma min amri bima shi’ta

and relieve me from my aggrieving matters by the means that You will

وَكَيْفَ شِئْتَ

wa kayfa shi’ta

and the method that You will.

ااَللّٰهُمَّ إنَّكَ قُلْتَ لِنَبِيِّكَ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: (وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى)

allaumma innaka qulta linabiyyika salla allahu `layhi wa alihi: wa lasawfa yu`tika rabbuka fatarda

O Allah: You have said to Your Prophet—Peace of Allah be upon him and his Household: “And soon shall your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased.”

اَللّٰهُمَّ إنَّ نَبِيَّكَ وَرَسُولَكَ وَحَبِيبَكَ وَخِيَرَتَكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

allahumma inna nabiyyaka wa rasulaka wa habibaka wa khiyarataka min khalqika

O Allah: Verily, Your Prophet, Messenger, Most Beloved, and Elite from among Your creatures

لا يَرْضى بأنْ تُعَذِّبَ أحَداً مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ

la yarda bi-an tu`adhdhiba ahadan min ummatihi

is not pleased if You torment one of his nation

دَانَكَ بِمُوالاتِهِ وَمُوالاةِ الأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ أهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

danaka bimuwalatihi wa muwalati al-a’immati min ahli baytihi

who worships You through acting loyally to the Prophet and to the Imams from his Household

وَإنْ كانَ مُذْنِباً خَاطِئاً

wa in kana mudhniban khati’an

even if that one is guilty and sinful,

في نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ

fi nari jahannama

(and to torture him) in Hellfire.

فَأَجِرْني يَا رَبِّ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ وَعَذابِها

fa ajirni ya rabbi min jahannama wa `adhabiha

So, (please) rescue me from Hell and its torture,

وَهَبْنِي لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa habni limuhammadin wa ali muhammadin

and pardon me for the sake of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad;

يَا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

يَا جَامِعاً بَيْنَ أهْلِ الجَنَّةِ عَلى تَأَلُّفٍ مِنَ القُلوبِ وَشِدَّةِ الْمَحَبَّةِ

ya jami`an bayna ahli aljannati `ala ta’allufin mina alqulubi wa shiddati almahabbati

O He Who shall gather the inhabitants of Paradise on terms of cordiality and affability;

وَنازِعَ الغِلِّ مِنْ صُدورِهِمْ

wa nazi`a alghilli min sudurihim

and He Who shall remove rancor that may be in their breasts,

وَجَاعِلَهُمْ إخْواناً عَلى سُرُرٍ مُتَقابِلينَ

wa ja`ilahum ikhwanan `la sururin mutaqabilina

and He shall thus make them brothers; face to face on couches.

يَا جَامِعاً بَيْنَ أهْلِ طَاعَتِهِ

ya jami`an bayna ahli ta`atihi

O He Who Shall gather between those who are obedient to Him

وَبَيْنَ مَنْ خَلَقَها لَهُ

wa bayna man khalaqaha lahu

and him for whom it was created.

وَيَا مُفَرِّجَ حُزْنِ كُلِّ مَحْزُونٍ

wa ya mufarrija huzni kulli mahzunin

O He Who relieves the sad of every aggried one;

وَيا مَنْهَلَ كُلِّ غَريبٍ

wa ya manhala kulli gharibin

O He Who is the resource of every stranger;

يا رَاحِمِي فِي رَغْبَتِي وَفِي كُلِّ أحْوالِي بِحُسْنِ الحِفْظِ وَالكَلاءَةِ لِي

ya rahimi fi raghbati wa fi kulli ahwali

O He Who covers me with His mercy when I desire for something as well as in all my circumstances by means of well safeguarding and protection.

يَا مُفَرِّجَ ما بِي مِنَ الضِّيقِ وَالخَوْفِ

ya mufarrija ma bi mina alddiqi walkhawfi

O He Who relieves all my depression and fears;

صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَاجْمَعْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ أَحِبَّتِي وَقادَتِي وَسادَتِي وَهُداتِي وَمَوالِيَّ

wajma` bayni wa bayna ahibbati wa qadati wa sadati wa hudati wa mawaliyya

and join me with my beloved ones: my leaders, my masters, my guides, and my lords.

يَا مُؤَلِّفاً بَيْنَ الأَحِبَّةِ

ya mu’allifan bayna al-ahibbati

O He Who joins the dear ones with each other;

صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَلا تَفْجَعْنِي بِانْقِطاعِ رُؤيَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِّي

wa la tafja`ni binqita`i ru’yati muhammadin wa ali muhammadin `anni

and never distress me by preventing me from seeing Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَلا بِانْقِطاعِ رُؤيَتِي عَنْهُمْ

wa la binqita`i ru’yati `anhum

or ceasing them from seeing me.

فَبِكُلِّ مَسائِلِكَ يَا رَبِّ أدْعُوكَ إلَهي

fabikulli masa’ilika ya rabbi ad`uka ilahi

I thus beseech You, O my God, in the name of all that by which You are prayed;

فَاسْتَجِبْ دُعائِي إيّاكَ

fastajib du`a’i iyyaka

So, please respond to my beseeching You,

يَا أرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِانْقِطاعِ حُجَّتِي وَوُجُوبِ حُجَّتِكَ أنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي

allahumma inni as’aluka binqita`i hujjati wa wujubi hujjatika an taghfira li

O Allah: I beseech You in the name of that I have no claim against You but You have all claims against me, that You may forgive me.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِ الْمَحْشَرِ

allahumma inni a`udhu bika min khizyi yawmi almahshari

O Allah: I seek Your protection against the disgrace of the Day of Resurrecting,

وَمِنْ شَرَّ ما بَقِيَ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ

wa min sharri ma baqiya mina alddahri

and against the evil of the coming days of my life,

وَمِنْ شَرِّ الأعْداءِ

wa min sharri al-a`da’i

and against the evil of the enemies,

وَصَفيرِ الفَناءِ

wa safiri al-fana’i

and against the approaching of termination

وَعِضالِ الدّاءِ

wa `idali aldda’i

and against cureless maladies,

وَخَيْبَةِ الرَّجاءِ

wa khaybati alrraja’i

and against disappointment,

وَزَوالِ النِّعْمَةِ

wa zawali alnni`mati

and against fading away of boons,

وَفُجْأَةِ النِّقْمَةِ

wa fuj’ati alnniqmati

and against unexpected chastisements.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي قَلْباً يَخْشاكَ كَأَنَّهُ يَراكَ إلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقاكَ

allahumma ij`al li qalban yakhshaka ka’annahu yaraka ila yawmi yalqaka

O Allah: (please) decide for me a heart that fears You as if it can see You directly up to the day on which it shall meet You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِأَفْضَلِهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlika bi-afdalihi

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors,

وَكُلُّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ

wa kullu fadlika fadilun

and all Your favors are excellent.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka bifadlika kullihi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِأَعَمِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka min rizqika bi-a`ammihi

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance,

وَكُلُّ رِزْقِكَ عَامٌّ

wa kullu rizqika `ammun

and all Your sustenance is widespread.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka birizqika kullihi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَائِكَ بِأَهْنَئِهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka min `ata'ika bi-ahna'ihi

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal,

وَكُلُّ عَطَائِكَ هَنِيءٌ

wa kullu `ata'ika hani'un

and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِعَطَائِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka bi`ata'ika kullihi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِأَعْجَلِهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka min khayrika bi-a`jalihi

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare,

وَكُلُّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ

wa kullu khayrika `ajilun

and Your entire welfare is instant.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka bikhayrika kullihi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ إِحْسَانِكَ بِأَحْسَنِهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka min ihsanika bi-ahsanihi

O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence,

وَكُلُّ إِحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ

wa kullu ihsanika hasanun

and Your entire benevolence is excellent.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِإِحْسَانِكَ كُلِّهِ

allahumma inni as'aluka biihsanika kullihi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيبُنِي بِهِ حِينَ أَسْأَلُكَ

allahumma inni as'aluka bima tujibuni bihi hina as'aluka

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all that through which You respond to me if I beseech You;

فَأَجِبْنِي يَا اللَّهُ

fa'ajibni ya allahu

therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ

wa salli `ala muhammadin `abdika almurtada

And (please do) send blessings to Muhammad, Your pleased servant,

وَرَسُولِكَ ٱلْمُصْطَفَىٰ

wa rasulika almustafa

chosen Messenger,

وَأَمِينِكَ وَنَجِيِّكَ دُونَ خَلْقِكَ

wa aminika wa najiyyika duna khalqika

trustee, Your confidant one among all Your beings,

وَنَجِيبِكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

wa najibika min `ibadika

selected one among all Your servants,

وَنَبِيِّكَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ وَحَبِيبِكَ

wa nabiyyika bilssidqi wa habibika

true Prophet, and Your much-loved one.

وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

wa salli `ala rasulika wa khiyaratika min al`alamina

And (please do) send blessings to (him); Your messenger, Your choicest among all people,

ٱلْبَشِيرِ ٱلنَّذِيرِ

albashiri alnnadhiri

the conveyor of good tidings (for the believers), the warner,

ٱلسِّرَاجِ ٱلْمُنِيرِ

alssiraji almuniri

and the luminous lantern;

وَعَلَىٰ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ٱلأَبْرَارِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ

wa `ala ahli baytihi al-abrari alttahirina

and (please do send blessings) to his Household, the pious and the immaculate;

وَعَلَىٰ مَلائِكَتِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ

wa `ala mala'ikatika alladhina istakhlastahum linafsika

and to Your angels whom You have attached to Yourself

وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa hajabtahum `an khalqika

and concealed against Your beings;

وَعَلَىٰ أَنْبِيَائِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنْبِئُونَ عَنْكَ بِٱلصِّدْقِ

wa `ala anbiya'ika alladhina yunbi'una `anka bilssidqi

and to Your Prophets who convey Your instructions truly;

وَعَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ

wa `ala rusulika alladhina khasastahum biwahyika

and to Your Messengers whom You have given exclusively Your Revelations

وَفَضَّلْتَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ بِرِسَالاتِكَ

wa faddaltahum `ala al`alamina birisalatika

and made excel the others by means of Your messages;

وَعَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ

wa `ala `ibadika alssalihina

and to Your righteous servants

ٱلَّذِينَ أَدْخَلْتَهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ

alladhina adkhaltahum fi rahmatika

whom You have included with Your mercy,

ٱلأَئِمَّةِ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ ٱلرَّاشِدِينَ وَأَوْلِيَائِكَ ٱلْمُطَهَّرِينَ

al-a'immati almuhtadina alrrashidina wa awliya'ika almutahharina

the guides, the well-guided, the orthodox, and Your pure saints;

وَعَلَىٰ جَبْرَائِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ وَمَلَكِ ٱلْمَوْتِ

wa `ala jabra'ila wa mika'ila wa israfila wa malaki almawti

and to (Archangels) Gabriel, Michael, Seraph, and the Angel of Death;

وَعَلَىٰ رِضْوَانَ خَازِنِ ٱلْجِنَانِ

wa `ala ridwana khazini aljinani

and to Ridwan the Keeper of Paradise;

وَعَلَىٰ مَالِكٍ خَازِنِ ٱلنَّارِ

wa `ala malikin khazini alnnari

and to Malik the Keeper of Hell,

وَرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ

wa ruhi alqudusi

and the Holy Spirit,

وَالرُّوحِ ٱلأَمِينِ

walrruhi al-amini

the Spirit of Faith,

وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

wa hamalati `arshika almuqarrabina

and the Favorite Bearers of Your Throne;

وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمَلَكَيْنِ ٱلْحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيَّ

wa `ala almalakayni alhafizayni `alayya

and to the two angels who watch over me—

بِٱلصَّلاَةِ ٱلَّتِي تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَهْلُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَأَهْلُ ٱلأَرَضِينَ

bilssalati allati tuhibbu an yusalliya biha `alayhim ahlu alssamawati wa ahlu al-aradina

[bless them all with] blessings that You desire that the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth pray You to send to them;

صَلاةً طَيِّبَةً كَثِيرَةً

salatan tayyibatan kathiratan

blessings that are pure, abundant,

مُبَارَكَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً ظَاهِرَةً

mubarakatan zakiyatan namiyatan zahiratan

holy, genuine, growing, evident,

بَاطِنَةً شَرِيفَةً فَاضِلَةً

batinatan sharifatan fadilatan

deep, honorable, and virtuous

تُبَيِّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَىٰ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ

tubayyinu biha fadlahum `ala al-awwalina wal-akhirina

through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَٱلشَّرَفَ وَٱلْفَضِيلَةَ

allahumma a`ti muhammadan alwasilata walshsharafa walfadilata

O Allah, (please do) give Muhammad subtle way, honor, and precedence,

وَٱجْزِهِ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ نَبِيّاً عَنْ أُمَّتِهِ

wajzihi khayra ma jazayta nabiyyan `an ummatihi

and reward him with the best reward that You ever give to a Prophet on behalf of his nation.

اللَّهُمَّ وَأَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ مَعَ كُلِّ زُلْفَةٍ زُلْفَةً

allahumma wa a`ti muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi ma`a kulli zulfatin zulfatan

O Allah, (please do) give Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Household—an additional proximity with each proximity that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلِّ وَسِيلَةٍ وَسِيلَةً

wa ma`a kulli wasilatin wasilatan

and an additional subtle means with each means that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلِّ فَضِيلَةٍ فَضِيلَةً

wa ma`a kulli fadilatin fadilatan

and an additional merit with each merit that You decide for him;

وَمَعَ كُلِّ شَرَفٍ شَرَفاً

wa ma`a kulli sharafin sharafan

and an additional honor with each honor that You decide for him.

تُعْطِي مُحَمَّداً وَآلَهُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ أَفْضَلَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ أَحَداً مِنَ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ

tu`ti muhammadan wa alahu yawma alqiyamati afdala ma a`tayta ahadan min al-awwalina wal-akhirina

And (please do) give Muhammad and his Household, on the Resurrection Day, the best of all that which You have given to any of Your creatures from the past and the coming generations.

اللَّهُمَّ وَٱجْعَلْ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَدْنَىٰ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ مِنْكَ مَجْلِساً

allahumma waj`al muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi adna almursalina minka majlisan

O Allah, (please do) choose for Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Household—the nearest position to You,

وَأَفْسَحَهُمْ فِي ٱلْجَنَّةِ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلاً

wa afsahahum fi aljannati `indaka manzilan

the most expansive abode in Paradise in Your vicinity,

وَأَقْرَبَهُمْ إِلَيْكَ وَسِيلَةً

wa aqrabahum ilayka wasilatan

and the most effective means to You.

وَٱجْعَلْهُ أَوَّلَ شَافِعٍ

waj`alhu awwala shafi`in

And (please do) make him the chief interceder,

وَأَوَّلَ مُشَفَّعٍ

wa awwala mushaffa`in

the chief mediator,

وَأَوَّلَ قَائِلٍ

wa awwala qa'ilin

the first speaker,

وَأَنْجَحَ سَائِلٍ

wa anjaha sa'ilin

and the most successful petitioner.

وَٱبْعَثْهُ ٱلْمَقَامَ ٱلْمَحْمُودَ ٱلَّذِي يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ ٱلأَوَّلُونَ وَٱلآخِرُونَ

wab`athhu almaqama almahmuda alladhi yaghbituhu bihi al-awwaluna wal-akhiruna

And (please do) send him the Praiseworthy Standing due to which all the past and coming generations will envy him.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِي

wa an tasma`a sawti

to hear my voice,

وَتُجِيبَ دَعْوَتِي

wa tujiba da`wati

to respond to my plea,

وَتَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيئَتِي

wa tatajawaza `an khati'ati

to overlook my sins,

وَتَصْفَحَ عَنْ ظُلْمِي

wa tasfaha `an zulmi

to excuse my wrongdoings,

وَتُنْجِحَ طَلِبَتِي

wa tunjiha talibati

to give success to my request,

وَتَقْضِيَ حَاجَتِي

wa taqdiya hajati

to grant my needs,

وَتُنْجِزَ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِي

wa tunjiza li ma wa`adtani

to fulfill Your promise to me,

وَتُقِيلَ عَثْرَتِي

wa tuqila `athrati

to let off my offense,

وَتَغْفِرَ ذُنُوبِي

wa taghfira dhunubi

to forgive my sins,

وَتَعْفُوَ عَنْ جُرْمِي

wa ta`fuwa `an jurmi

to pardon my evildoings,

وَتُقْبِلَ عَلَيَّ وَلاَ تُعْرِضَ عَنِّي

wa tuqbila `alayya wa la tu`rida `anni

to accept me and not to reject me,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَلاَ تُعَذِّبَنِي

wa tarhamani wa la tu`adhdhibani

to have mercy upon me and not to punish me,

وَتُعَافِيَنِي وَلاَ تَبْتَلِيَنِي

wa tu`afiyani wa la tabtaliyani

to grant me good health and not to afflict me,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنَ ٱلرِّزْقِ أَطْيَبَهُ وَأَوْسَعَهُ وَلاَ تَحْرِمَنِي

wa tarzuqani min alrrizqi atyabahu wa awsa`ahu wa la tahrimani

and to grant me from the nicest and most extensive sustenance and not to deprive me (of Your sustenance).

يَارَبِّ وَٱقْضِ عَنِّي دَيْنِي

ya rabbi waqdi `anni dayni

O my Lord, (please do) help me settle my debts,

وَضَعْ عَنِّي وِزْرِي

wa da` `anni wizri

relieve me of my burdens,

وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنِي مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لِي بِهِ

wa la tuhammilni ma la taqata li bihi

and do not impose on me that which I have not the strength to bear.

يَا مَوْلاَيَ وَأَدْخِلْنِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ أَدْخَلْتَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

ya mawlaya wa adkhilni fi kulli khayrin adkhalta fihi muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

O my Master, (please do) include me with every good item with which You have included Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنْ كُلِّ سُوءٍ أَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa akhrijni min kulli su'in akhrajta minhu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

and take me out of any evil from which You have taken out Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ

salawatuka `alayhi wa `alayhim

Your blessings be upon him and them.

وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

wa alssalamu `alayhi wa `alayhim wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Peace, Allah’s mercy, and blessings be upon him and them.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِي

allahumma inni ad`uka kama amartani

O Allah, I am praying You as You have ordered me to do;

فَٱسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِي

fastajib li kama wa`adtani

so, please respond to me as You have promised.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ قَلِيلاً مِنْ كَثِيرٍ

allahumma inni as'aluka qalilan min kathirin

O Allah, I ask You for a little from the very much

مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِي إِلَيْهِ عَظِيمَةٍ

ma`a hajatin bi ilayhi `azimatin

in the midst of my many needs for which I entirely depend on You,

وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيمٌ

wa ghinaka `anhu qadimun

and You, since eternity, are able to do without them,

وَهُوَ عِنْدِي كَثِيرٌ

wa huwa `indi kathirun

but for me, it is titanic,

وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيرٌ

wa huwa `alayka sahlun yasirun

and for You, it is very easy and simple.

فَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِهِ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

famnun `alayya bihi innaka `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

So, (please do) bestow upon me with them, for You have power over all things.

آمِينَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

amina rabba al`alamin

Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds!.

اللَّهُمَّ يَا رَبِّ أَصْبَحْتُ لَا أَرْجُو غَيْرَكَ وَ لَا أَدْعُو سِ وَاكَ وَ لَا أَرْغَبُ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ وَ لَا أَتَضَرَّعُ إِلَّا عِنْدَكَ

Allahumma ya rabbi asbahtu la arju ghayraka wa la ad’u siwaka wa la arghabu illa ilayka wa la atadarru’u illa indaka

“O‟ my God! O‟ Lord! I made it to the morning having hopes in none but You. I called none but You. I desire none but You. I cry to no one but You.

وَ لَا أَلُوذُ إِلَّا بِفِنَائِكَ إِذْ لَوْ دَعَوْتُ غَيْرَكَ لَمْ يُجِبْنِي

wa la aludhu illa bifenayika idh law da’awtu ghayraka lam yujibni

I take refuge in no one but You for if I plead to others,they would not answer me,

وَ لَوْ رَجَوْتُ غَيْرَكَ لَأَخْلَفَ رَجَائِي

wa law rajawtu ghayraka la’akhlafa raja’i

and if I place hope in others, they would disappoint my hopes.

وَ أَنْتَ ثِقَتِي وَ رَجَائِي وَ مَوْلَايَ وَ خَالِقِي وَ بَارِئِي وَ مُصَوِّرِي

wa anta thiqati wa raja’i wa mawlaya wa khaliki wa bari’i wa musawwiri

You are my trust, my hope, my guardian, my Creator and my designer.

نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ تَحْكُمُ فِيَّ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ

nasiyati biyadika tahkumu fiyya kayfa tasha’u

You have control over me and rule over me as You wish.

لَا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي مَا أَرْجُو وَ لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ دَفْعَ مَا أَحْذَرُ

la amluku linafsi ma arju wa la astati’u dafa’a ma ahtharu

I cannot attain what I hope for myself.I cannot fend off what I fear of.

أَصْبَحْتُ مُرْتَهِناً بِعَمَلِي وَ أَصْبَحَ الْأَمْرُ بِيَدِ غَيْرِي

asbahtu murtahinan bi’amali wa asbaha al-amru biyadi ghayri

I made it to the morning while I am enslaved by my deeds, with the affairs of the morning in the hands of others than me.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُكَ وَ كَفَى بِكَ شَهِيداً وَ أُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ وَ أَنْبِيَاءَكَ وَ رُسُلَكَ عَلَى

allahumma inni asbahtu ushhiduka wa kafa bika shahidan wa ushhidu mala’ikataka wa hamalata arshika wa anbiyaka wa rusulaka ala

O‟ my God! I made it to the morning taking You as a witness to You, and it suffuces for me to take You as a witness. I take Your angels, the bearers of Your Throne, Your Prophets (as) and Messengers (as) as a witness.

أَنِّي أَتَوَلَّى مَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَهُ وَ أَتَبَرَّأُ مِمَّنْ تَبَرَّأْتَ مِنْهُ

anni atawalla man tawallaytahu wa atabarra’u mimman tabarra’ta minhu

I follow what they followed and I disavow from what they disavowed.

وَ أُومِنُ بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ فَافْتَحْ مَسَامِعَ قَلْبِي لِذِكْرِكَ

wa uminu bima anzalta ala anbiyaka wa rusulika faftah masamia qalbi lidhikrika

And I believe in what You have sent to Your Prophets (as) and Messengers (as). Please open my inner ears for Your Remembrance

حَتَّى أَتَّبِعَ كِتَابَكَ وَ أُصَدِّقَ رُسُلَكَ وَ أُومِنَ بِوَعْدِكَ وَ أُوفِيَ بِعَهْدِكَ فَإِنَّ أَمْرَ الْقَلْبِ بِيَدِكَ

hatta attabi’a kitabaka wa usaddiqu rusulaka wa umina biwa’dika wa ufiya bi’ahdika fa’inn amra al-qalbi biyadika

so that I follow Your Book, acknowledge Your Prophet (as), believe in Your Promise, honor Your Covenants as the control of the heart lies in Your Hands!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْقُنُوطِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَ الْيَأْسِ مِنْ رَأْفَتِكَ

allahumma inni a’udhu bika mina al-qunuti min rahmatika wa al-ya’si min ra’fatika

O‟ my God! I take refuge in You from disappointment of Your Mercy and disappointment in Your Kindness.

فَأَعِذْنِي مِنَ الشَّكِّ وَ الشِّرْكِ وَ الرَّيْبِ وَ النِّفَاقِ وَ الرِّيَاءِ وَ السُّمْعَةِ

fa’a’idhni mina al-shakki wa al-shirki wa al-raybi wa al-nifaqi wa al-riya’i wa al-sum’ati

Please give me refuge from doubt, polytheism, doubt and hypocrisy, showing off and seeking fame.

وَ اجْعَلْنِي فِي جِ وَارِكَ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ

wa aj’alni fi ji warika alladhi la yuramu

O‟ my God! Please establish me in a place near Yourself that does not collapse!

وَ احْفَظْنِي مِنَ الشَّكِّ الَّذِي صَاحِبُهُ يُسْتَهَانُ

wa ahfazhni mina al-shakki alladhi sahibuhu yustahanu

And protect me from doubt that causes humiliation.

اللَّهُمَّ وَ كُلَّمَا قَصُرَ عَنْهُ اسْتِغْفَارِي مِنْ سُوءٍ لَا يَعْلَمُهُ غَيْرُكَ فَعَافِنِي مِنْهُ

allahumma wa kullama qasura anhu istighfari min su’in la ya’lamuhu ghayruka fa’afini minhu

O‟ my God! Please forgive me for my evil deeds I have failed to ask You for forgiveness for and no one but You knows about them and forgive me for them.

وَ اغْفِرْهُ لِي فَإِنَّكَ كَاشِفُ الْغَمِّ مُفَرِّجُ الْهَمَّ رَحْمَانُ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِوَ رَحِيمُهُمَا

wa aghfirhu li fa’innaka kashifu al-ghammi mufarriju al-hammi rahmanu al-dunya wa al-akhiratiwa rahimuhuma

Verily You are the Remover of sorrow, the One who dispels grief and the Merciful in this world, the Hereafter and the Compassionate.

فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِي رَحِمْتَ بِهَا مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَ رُسُلَكَ وَ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

fa’amnun alayya birrahmati allati rahimta biha mala’ikataka wa rusulaka wa awliyaka mina al-mu’minina wa al-mu’minat

Please favor me with mercy by which you had mercy on Your angels, Messengers (as), and friends from the believing men and women.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ بَلَاءٍ أَوْ مُصِيبَةٍ أَوْ غَمٍّ أَوْ هَمٍّ

allahumma rabba hadha al-yawmi wa ma anzalta fihi min bala’in aw musibatin aw ghammin aw hamm

O‟ my God! O‟ Lord of this day and all that is sent on it including disasters, calamities, sorrow or grief.

فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَ عَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي وَ وُلْدِي وَ إِخْوَانِي وَ مَعَارِفِي وَ مَنْ كَانَ مِنِّي بِسَبِيلٍ

fasrifhu anni wa an ahli bayti wa waladi wa ikhwani wa ma’arifi wa man kana minni bisabilin

Please remove them all from me, my family, my parents, my brethren and my acquaintances,being on the same path.

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

mina al-mu’minina wa al-mu’minat

and all believing men and women who are associated with me

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ عَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ

allahumma inni asbahtu ala kalimati al-ikhlas

O‟ my God! I made it to the morning on pure words,

وَ فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ مِلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ دِينِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

wa fitrati al-islami wa millati ibrahima wa dini muhammadin salawatuka alayhi wa alihi

Islam‟s nature, Abraham‟s nation, and Muhammad‟s (as) religion.

وَ تَوَفَّنِي عَلَيْهِ اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي وَ أَحْيِنِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ‌

wa tawaffani alayhi allahumma ahfazhni wa ahyini ala dhalika

O‟ my God! Please safeguard me and keep me alive on this Path, and take away my life on this Path,

وَ ابْعَثْنِي يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ الْخَلَائِقَ فِيهِ

wa ab’athni yawma tab’athu al-khala’iq fihi

and resurrect me on that Path on the Day on which You resurrect the people.

وَ اجْعَلْ أَوَّلَ يَوْمِي هَذَا صَلَاحاً وَ أَوْسَطَهُ فَلَاحاً وَ آخِرَهُ نَجَاحاً بِرَحْمَتِكَ

wa aj’al awwala yawmi hadha salah wa awsatahu falah wa akhirahu najah birahmatika

And please establish the beginning of this day for my improvement, its middle for my prosperity and its end for my success by Your Mercy.

فَإِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَ خَيْرَ أَهْلِهِ

fa’inni as’aluka khayrahu wa khayra ahlihi

I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of its people.

وَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَ شَرِّ أَهْلِهِ

wa a’udhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri ahlihi

I take refuge in You from its evil and the wickedness of its people,

وَ مِنْ سَمْعِهِ وَ بَصَرِهِ وَ يَدِهِ وَ رِجْلِهِ

wa min sam’ihi wa basarihi wa yadihi wa rijlihi

its hearing, sight,men! And withhold it from me.

وَ كُنْ لِي مِنْهُ حَاجِزاً عَزَّ جَارُكَ

wa kun li minhu hajizan azza jaruka

Anyone under Your Protection is honored and Glorious

وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

wa jalla thana’uka wa la ilaha ghayruka

and Sublime is Your praise. There is no God but You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرْزُقَنِي مَ وَاهِبَ الدُّعَاءِ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ

allahumma inni as’aluka an tarzuqani mawahiba al-du’a’i fi duburi kulli salatin

O‟ my God! I ask You to grant me the benefits of supplications after every prayer.

وَ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ يَوْمِي هَذَا وَ فَتْحَهُ

wa as’aluka khayra yawmi hadha wa fathahu

I ask You to grant me the best of today,

وَ رُشْدَهُ وَ بُشْرَاهُ وَ نَصْرَهُوَ نُورَهُ وَ هُدَاهُ

wa rushdahu wa bushrahu wa nasrahuwa nurahu wa hudaahu

plus victory, success, light, guidance, development and glad tidings.

أَصْبَحْتُ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي‌ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ مُمْتَنِعاً وَ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ الَّتِي لَا تُرَامُ وَ لَا تُضَامُ مُعْتَصِماً

asbahtu billahi alladhi laysa kamithlihi shay’un mumtani’un wa bi’izzati allahi allati la turamu wa la tudamu mu’tasiman

I made it to the morning by God Whose like is not found at all.I adhere to God‟s Honor which cannot fail or and be violated

وَ بِسُلْطَانِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يُقْهَرُ وَ لَا يُغْلَبُ عَائِذاً مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَ ذَرَأَ وَ بَرَأَ

Wa bisultanillahi alladhee la yuqharu wa la yughlabu 'a’idhan min sharri ma khalaqa wa dhara’a wa bara’a

I take refuge in God‟s Dominion that cannot be overpowered or defeated from the evils of what He has created, designed and developed;

وَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا يُكَنُّ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ يَخْرُجُ بِالنَّهَارِ وَ شَرِّ مَا يَخْرُجُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ يُكَنُّ بِالنَّهَارِ

Wa min sharri ma yukannu billayli wa yakhruju bin nahari wa sharri ma yakhruju billayli wa yukannu bin nahari

from the evils of what is hidden at nights and comes out during the days; from the evils of what comes out at night and hides in the daytime;

وَ مِنْ شَرِّ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ذِي سُلْطَانٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ هُوَ آخِذٌ بِناصِيَتِها إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلى‌ صِراطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ‌

Wa min sharri al jinni wa al insi wa min sharri kulli dhi sultanin aw ghayrihi wa min sharri kulli dabbatin huwa akhidhun binasiyatiha inna rabbi ala siratin mustaqim

from the evils of genies and mankind; from the evils of all that seek to rule and others; and from the evils of all animals.You have control over as indeed my Lord is on the Straight Path.”

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَىٰ ٱلنَّبِيِّ

inna allaha wa mala'ikatahu yusalluna `ala alnnabiyyi

Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings to the Prophet.

يَا أَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُوٱ صَلُّوٱ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوٱ تَسْلِيماً

ya ayyuha alladhina amanu sallu `alayhi wa sallmu tasliman

O you who believe, Call for Divine blessings on him and salute him with a becoming salutation.

لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَبِّ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَسُبْحَانَكَ

labbayka ya rabbi wa sa`dayka wa subhanaka

Here I am at Your service, my Lord! Doing that which pleases You, and glory be to You.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَبَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa barik `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

and send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

kama sallayta wa barakta `ala ibrahima wa ali ibrahima

just as You have blessed and conferred benedictions upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham.

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

innaka hamidun majidun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱرْحَمْ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma irham muhammadan wa ala muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) have mercy upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا رَحِمْتَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

kama rahimta ibrahima wa ala ibrahima

just as You had mercy upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham.

إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

innaka hamidun majidun

You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.

اللَّهُمَّ سَلِّمْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma sallim `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) send peace upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا سَلَّمْتَ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي ٱلْعَالَمِينَ

kama sallamta `ala nuhin fi al`alamina

just as You sent peace upon Noah among all the creatures.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱمْنُنْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma imnun `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) confer favors on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

كَمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ

kama mananta `ala musa wa haruna

just as You conferred a favor upon (Prophets) Moses and Aaron.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا شَرَّفْتَنَا بِهِ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin kama sharraftana bihi

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad just as You have honored us by him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا هَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin kama hadaytana bihi

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad just as You have guided us through him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱبْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوداً يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ ٱلأَوَّلُونَ وَٱلآخِرُونَ

wab`athhu maqaman mahmudan yaghbituhu bihi al-awwaluna wal-akhiruna

and send his a praiseworthy standing due to which all the past and the coming generations shall covet him.

عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ كُلَّمَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ أَوْ غَرَبَتْ

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullama tala`at shamsun aw gharabat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever the sun rises and sets.

عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ كُلَّمَا طَرَفَتْ عَيْنٌ أَوْ بَرَقَتْ

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullama tarafat `aynun aw baraqat

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an eye twinkles or glitters.

عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ كُلَّمَا ذُكِرَ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullama dhukira alssalamu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever peace is mentioned.

عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ كُلَّمَا سَبَّحَ ٱللَّهَ مَلَكٌ أَوْ قَدَّسَهُ

`ala muhammadin wa alihi alssalamu kullama sabbaha allaha malakun aw qaddasahu

Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an angel glorifies or exalts Allah.

السَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلأَوَّلِينَ

alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi al-awwalina

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the past generations.

وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلآخِرِينَ

wa alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi al-akhirina

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the last generations.

وَٱلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ

wa alssalamu `ala muhammadin wa alihi fi alddunya wal-akhirati

Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household in this world and in the Hereafter.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ

allahumma rabba albaladi alharami

O Allah, Lord of the Holy Town,

وَرَبَّ ٱلرُّكْنِ وَٱلْمَقَامِ

wa rabba alrrukni walmaqami

Lord of the Rukn (Corner of Ka`bah) and the Maqam (Standing-place near Ka`bah),

وَرَبَّ ٱلْحِلِّ وَٱلْحَرَامِ

wa rabba alhill walharami

and Lord of legality and sanctuary,

أَبْلِغْ مُحَمَّداً نَبِيَّكَ عَنَّا ٱلسَّلاَمَ

abligh muhammadan nabiyyaka `anna alssalama

(please do) convey our greetings to Muhammad, Your Prophet.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً مِنَ ٱلْبَهَاءِ وَٱلنَّضْرَةِ

allahumma a`ti muhammadan min albaha'i walnnadrati

O Allah, (please do) grant Muhammad brilliance, bloom,

وَٱلسُّرُورِ وَٱلْكَرَامَةِ وَٱلْغِبْطَةِ وَٱلْوَسِيلَةِ

walssururi walkaramati walghibtati walwasilati

delight, honor, happiness, right of intervention,

وَٱلْمَنْزِلَةِ وَٱلْمَقَامِ وَٱلشَّرَفِ وَٱلرِّفْعَةِ

walmanzilati walmaqami walshsharafi walrrif`ati

(exalted) rank, (exalted) position, nobility, elevation,

وَٱلشَّفَاعَةِ عِنْدَكَ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ

walshshafa`ati `indaka yawma alqiyamati

and right of intercession before You on the Resurrection Day,

أَفْضَلَ مَا تُعْطِي أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

afdala ma tu`ti ahadan min khalqika

in the best way You have ever granted to any of Your creations.

وَأَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً فَوْقَ مَا تُعْطِي ٱلْخَلاَئِقَ

wa a`ti muhammadan fawqa ma tu`ti alkhala'iqa

(Please) grant Muhammad more than what You grant Your creatures

مِنَ ٱلْخَيْرِ أَضْعَافاً كَثِيرَةً لاَ يُحْصِيهَا غَيْرُكَ

min alkhayri ad`afan kathiratan la yuhsiha ghayruka

with many folds of goodness that none can count save You.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

أَطْيَبَ وَأَطْهَرَ وَأَزْكَىٰ وَأَنْمَىٰ

atyaba wa athara wa azka wa anma

with the most excellent, purest, most increasing, most growing,

وَأَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِنَ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ

wa afdala ma sallayta `ala ahadin min al-awwalina wal-akhirina

and best blessings that You have ever conferred on anyone from the past and the coming generations

وَعَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

wa `ala ahadin min khalqika ya arhama alrrahimina

and on anyone of Your created beings. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيٍّ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyin amiri almu'minina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to `Ali, the Commander of the Believers,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who provoke his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man sharika fi damihi

inflict double chastisement on any one who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

allahumma salli `ala fatimata binti nabiyyika muhammadin `alayhi wa alihi alssalamu

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Fatimah, the daughter of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهَا

wa wali man walaha

be the supporter of those who support her,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهَا

wa `adi man `adaha

be the enemy of him who provoke her enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهَا

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamaha

inflict double chastisement on those who wronged her,

وَٱلعَنْ مَنْ آذَىٰ نَبِيَّكَ فِيهَا

wal`an man adha nabiyyaka fiha

and curse those who injured Your Prophet as they injured her.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ إِمَامَيِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala alhasani walhusayni imamay almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two leaders of the Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُمَا

wa wali man walahuma

be the supporter of any one who supports them,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُمَا

wa `adi man `adahuma

be the enemy of any one who provoke their enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دِمَائِهِمَا

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man sharika fi dima'ihima

and inflict double chastisement on any one who had a hand in the shedding of their blood.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyi ibni alhusayni imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to `Ali ibn al-Husayn, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadi bni `aliyyin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad ibn `Ali, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala ja`fari bni muhammadin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Ja`far ibn Muhammad, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala musa bni ja`farin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Musa ibn Ja`far, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man sharika fi damihi

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who had hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَىٰ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyi bni musa imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to `Ali ibn Musa, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man sharika fi damihi

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala muhammadi bni `aliyyin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad ibn `Ali, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala `aliyyi bni muhammadin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to `Ali ibn Muhammad, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala alhasani bni `aliyyin imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to al-Hasan ibn `Ali, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَضَاعِفِ ٱلْعَذَابَ عَلَىٰ مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ

wa da`if al`adhaba `ala man zalamahu

and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلَفِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ إِمَامِ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

allahumma salli `ala alkhalafi min ba`dihi imami almuslimina

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to the Successor after him, the leader of Muslims,

وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالاَهُ

wa wali man walahu

be the supporter of any one who supports him,

وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

wa `adi man `adahu

be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,

وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُ

wa `ajjil farajahu

and expedite his Relief.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْقَاسِمِ وَٱلطَّاهِرِ ٱبْنَيْ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma salli `ala alqasimi walttahiri ibnay nabiyyika

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to al-Qasim and al-Tahir, the two sons of Your Prophet.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ رُقَيَّةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma salli `ala ruqayyata binti nabiyyika

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Ruqayyah, the daughter of Your Prophet

وَٱلعَنْ مَنْ آذَىٰ نَبِيَّكَ فِيهَا

wal`an man adha nabiyyaka fiha

and curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ أُمِّ كُلْثُومَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma salli `ala ummi kulthuma binti nabiyyika

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Umm-Kulthum, the daughter of Your Prophet

وَٱلعَنْ مَنْ آذَىٰ نَبِيَّكَ فِيهَا

wal`an man adha nabiyyaka fiha

and curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ذُرِّيَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ

allahumma salli `ala dhurriyyati nabiyyika

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to the offspring of Your Prophet.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱخْلُفْ نَبِيَّكَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

allahumma ukhluf nabiyyaka fi ahli baytihi

O Allah, (please) be the representative of Your Prophet among his Household.

اللَّهُمَّ مَكِّنْ لَهُمْ فِي ٱلأَرْضِ

allahumma makkin lahum fi al-ardi

O Allah, (please do) grant them power in the land.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عَدَدِهِمْ وَمَدَدِهِمْ

allahumma ij`alna min `adadihim wa madadihim

O Allah, (please do) include us with their troop, their aides,

وَأَنْصَارِهِمْ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَقِّ فِي ٱلسِّرِّ وَٱلْعَلانِيَةِ

wa ansarihim `ala alhaqqi fi alssirri wal`alaniyati

and their supporters on confirming the truth secretly and openly.

اللَّهُمَّ ٱطْلُبْ بِذَحْلِهِمْ وَوِتْرِهِمْ وَدِمَائِهِمْ

allahumma utlub bidhahlihim wa witrihim wa dima'ihim

O Allah, (please do) retaliate upon those who wronged and slew them, and those who shed their blood.

وَكُفَّ عَنَّا وَعَنْهُمْ وَعَنْ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ

wa kuffa `anna wa `anhum wa `an kulli mu'minin wa mu'minatin

And (please) save us, them, and every believing man and women

بَأْسَ كُلِّ بَاغٍ وَطَاغٍ

ba'sa kulli baghin wa taghin

the evil of all tyrants and transgressors,

وَكُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا

wa kulli dabbatin anta akhidhun binasiyatiha

and every living creature that You hold it by its forelock.

إِنَّكَ أَشَدُّ بَأْساً وَأَشَدُّ تَنْكِيلاً

innaka ashaddu ba'san wa ashaddu tankilan

Verily, You are the strongest in prowess and the strongest to give an exemplary punishment.

يَا عُدَّتِي فِي كُرْبَتِي

ya `uddati fi kurbati

O my means in troubles!

وَيَا صَاحِبِي فِي شِدَّتِي

wa ya sahibi fi shiddati

O my Companion in hardships!

وَيَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي

wa ya waliyyi fi ni`mati

O Provider of my amenities!

وَيَا غَايَتِي فِي رَغْبَتِي

wa ya ghayati fi raghbati

O utmost of my desires!

أَنْتَ ٱلسَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِي

anta alssatiru `awrati

It is You Who conceals my defects,

وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِي

walmu'minu raw`ati

Who relieves my apprehensions,

وَٱلْمُقِيلُ عَثْرَتِي

walmuqilu `athrati

and Who overlooks my slips.

فَٱغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي

faghfir li khati'ati

So, (please do) forgive my sin.

يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

ya arhama alrrahimina

O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ لِهَمٍّ لاَ يُفَرِّجُهُ غَيْرُكَ

allahumma inni ad`uka lihammin la yufarrijuhu ghayruka

O Allah, I beseech You about a grief that none can relieve save You,

وَلِرَحْمَةٍ لاَ تُنَالُ إِلاَّ بِكَ

wa lirahmatin la tunalu illa bika

for mercy that cannot be attained except through You,

وَلِكَرْبٍ لاَ يَكْشِفُهُ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

wa likarbin la yakshifuhu illa anta

about hardship from which none can rescue except You,

وَلِرَغْبَةٍ لاَ تُبْلَغُ إِلاَّ بِكَ

wa liraghbatin la tublaghu illa bika

for desire that cannot be obtained except by You,

وَلِحَاجَةٍ لاَ يَقْضِيهَا إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

wa lihajatin la yaqdiha illa anta

and for a need that none can settle save You.

اللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ مَا أَذِنْتَ لِي بِهِ مِنْ مَسْأَلَتِكَ

allahumma fakama kana min sha'nika ma adhinta li bihi min mas'alatika

O Allah, just as You have decided to allow me to pray You

وَرَحِمْتَنِي بِهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ

wa rahimtani bihi min dhikrika

and had mercy upon me through allowing me to refer to You,

فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَأْنِكَ سَيِّدِي ٱلإِجَابَةُ لِي فِيمَا دَعَوْتُكَ

falyakun min sha'nika sayyidi al-ijabatu li fima da`awtuka

so also, please, my Master, decide to respond to me in what I have prayed You for,

وَعَوَائِدُ ٱلإِفْضَالِ فِيمَا رَجَوْتُكَ

wa `awa'idu al-ifdali fima rajawtuka

confer upon me the favors for which I have hoped You,

وَٱلنَّجَاةُ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ إِلَيْكَ فِيهِ

walnnajatu mimma fazi`tu ilayka fihi

and grant me redemption from that against which I have resorted to You.

فَإِنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ أَهْلاً أَنْ أَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ

fa'in lam akun ahlan an ablugha rahmataka

But if I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,

فَإِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَهْلٌ أَنْ تَبْلُغَنِي وَتَسَعَنِي

fa'inna rahmataka ahlun an tablughani wa tasa`ani

then, Your mercy is too wide to avoid including and covering me.

وَإِنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِلإِجَابَةِ أَهْلاً

wa in lam akun lil-ijabati ahlan

If I do not deserve Your response,

فَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ ٱلفَضْلِ

fa'anta ahlu alfadli

then, You are the worthiest of granting favors

وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

wa rahmatuka wasi`at kulla shay'in

and Your mercy has covered all things.

فَلْتَسَعْنِي رَحْمَتُكَ يَا إِلٰهِي

faltasa`ni rahmatuka ya ilahi

So, let Your mercy include me, O my God.

يَا كَرِيمُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ

ya karimu as'aluka biwajhika alkarimi

O All-generous! I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi

to bless Muhammad and his Household,

وَأَنْ تُفَرِّجَ هَمِّي

wa an tufarrija hammi

relieve my grief,

وَتَكْشِفَ كَرْبِي وَغَمِّي

wa takshifa karbi wa ghammi

release me from my hardship and agony,

وَتَرْحَمَنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ

wa tarhamani birahmatika

have mercy upon me out of Your mercy,

وَتَرْزُقَنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

wa tarzuqani min fadlika

and confer on me with Your favor.

إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَاءِ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ

innaka sami`u alddu`a'i qaribun mujibun

You are verily the Hearer of prayers, the Nigh, and the Responding.

سُبْحَانَ الضَّارِّ النَّافِعِ, - سُبْحَانَ الْقَاضِي بِالْحَقِّ ,- سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيِّ الْاَعْلَى , -سُبْحَانَهُ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ , -سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى

Subhana adh-Dharri an-Nafi, Subhana al-Qadi bil-Haqq, Subhana al-'Aliyy al-A'la Subhanahu wa bihamdihi,Subhanahu wa Ta'ala

Glory be to the One Who causes harm and benefit, Glory be to the One Who judges with truth.Glory be to the Most High, the Exalted.Glory be to Him and His is the praise.Glory be to Him, the Exalted.

(1) سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ بَارِئِ ٱلنَّسَمِ

subhana allahi bari'i alnnasami

Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُصَوِّرِ
