لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul Halimul Karim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Forbearing and Generous

لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Most High and Great

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ

Subhaanallaahi Rabbis Samaawaatis Sab'

Glory be to Allah, Who is the Sustainer of the seven heavens and of the seven earth

وَ رَبِّ الاَرْضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ

wa Rabbil ‘Arzinas Sab'

And Who is the Sustainer of all the things

وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَ

wa maa fihinna wa maa baynahunna

in them, and between them,

رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

wa Rabbul 'Arshil ‘Azim

And Who is the Lord of the great 'Arsh (Divine Center of Authority & Power)

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Wal Hamdul lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalamin

And all praise for Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds.

...اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ل

Allaahummagh Firli… (Name)

O Allah, forgive (Name)…

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ رَبِّي وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa Atuubu Ilayh

I seek forgiveness of Allah my Lord and I turn to Him

هذَا مَقَامُ الْعَآئِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

Haadhaa Maqaamul 'Aaidhi Bika Minannaar

This is the position of one who seeks refuge in You from the fire [of Hell]

اَلْعَفْوَ

Al-'Afwa

(I ask for) forgiveness

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ تُبْ عَلَيَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ

rabbighfirli warhamni wa tub alayya ,innaka antat-tawwabur-rahim

Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me, and turn to me, Surely You are the Oft-returning, the Merciful

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

Subbohon, Qoddoson, Rabbul Mala’ekati Wal-Rooh

All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit.

اَللّهُمَّ لَا تُؤْمِنِّي مَكْرَكَ وَلَا تُنْسِنِي ذِكْرَكَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ

Allāhumma lā tu'minnī makraka wa lā tunsinī dhikraka wa lā taj'alnī min al-ghāfilīn

O Allah, do not let me feel secure from Your plan, and do not make me forget Your remembrance, and do not make me among the heedless.

أَقُومُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ سَاعَةَ كذا وكذا

ʾaqūmu in shāʾa allāhu sāʿata kadhā wa kadhā

I will get up, God willing, at such and such an hour...

الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحي لِأَحْمَدَهُ وَأَعْبُدَهُ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi al-ladhī radda ʿalayya rūḥī li-ʾaḥmadahu wa-ʾaʿbudahu

Praise be to Allah who has returned my soul to me so that I may praise Him and worship Him.

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

Subbūḥun Quddūsun Rabbu al-malāʾikati wa-al-Rūḥ

All-Glorious, All-Holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit.

سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَتُكَ غَضَبَكَ

Sabaqat raḥmatuka ghaḍabaka

Your mercy has preceded Your wrath.

لاَ إِلَه إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ عَمِلْتُ سُوءاً

Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka wa bi-ḥamdika ʿamiltu sūʾan

There is no god but You, glory and praise be to You, I have done evil.

وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

Wa ẓalamtu nafsī faghfir lī innahu lā yaghfiru al-dhunūba illā anta

And I have wronged myself, so forgive me, for indeed none forgives sins except You.

اَللّهُمَّ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُوَارِي مِنْكَ لَيْلٌ دَاجٍ وَلاَ سَمَاءٌ ذَاتُ أَبْرَاجٍ

Allāhumma innahu lā yuwārī minka laylun dājin wa lā samā'un dhātu abrājin

O Allah, indeed no dark night is hidden from You, nor a sky with constellations,

وَلاَ أَرْضٌ ذَاتُ مِهَادٍ وَلاَ ظَلَمَاتٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ

Wa lā arḍun dhātu mihādin wa lā ẓulumātun ba'ḍuhā fawqa ba'ḍin

Nor an earth with a foundation, nor darknesses, some above others,

وَلاَ بَحْرٌ لُجّيٌّ تُدْلِجُ بِيْنَ يَدَيْ الْمُدْلِجِ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

wa lā baḥrun lujjiyyun tudliju bayna yaday al-mudliji min khalqika

Nor a deep sea that travels between the hands of the traveler of Your creation.

تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الأَعْيُنِ وَمَا تُخْفِي الصُّدُورُ

Ta'lamu khā'inata al-a'yuni wa mā tukhfī al-ṣudūr

You know the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّي اَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ آلِهِ

O Allah I turn to You through Your Prophet the Prophet of mercy and (through) his family and I place them in front of my needs

وَ اُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَوَ ائِجِي

so make me through them,

فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيْهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الآخِرَةِ

respected, in the world and in the hereafter and from the near ones

وَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ

O Allah have mercy on me through them

اَللّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تُعَذِّبْنِي بِهِمْ

and do not punish me through them

وَ اهْدِنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تُضِلَّنِي بِهِمْ

and guide me through them

وَ ارْزُقْنِي بِهِمْ وَ لاَ تَحْرِمْنِي بِهِمْ

and do not lead me astray through them

وَ اقْضِ لِي حَوَائِجَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الآَخِرَةِ

and grant me sustenance through them

اِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

and do not deny me through them

وَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ

and fulfill my needs of the world & the hereafter

اِﻟﻬِﻲ ﻏَﺎرَتْ نُجُومُ ﺳَﻤَﺎءِكَ وَ ﻧَﺎمَتْ ﻋُﻴُﻮْنُ اَﻧَﺎﻣِﻚَ وَ هَدَاَتْ اَصْوَاتُ ﻋِﺒَﺎدِكَ وَ اَﻧْﻌَﺎﻣِﻚَ

ilaahi ghaarat nujoomu samaaika wa naamat ‘uyoonu anaamika wa hada-at aswaatuibaaduka wa an’aamika

My God, the stars of Your sky have sunk and the eyes of Your people are sleeping and the voices of Your servants and Your animals have become silent

وَ غَلَّقَتِ اﻟْﻤُﻠُﻮْكُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬَﺎ اَﺑْﻮَاﺑَﻬَﺎ وَ ﻃَﺎفَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻬَﺎ حُرَّاسُهَا

wa ghallaqatil mulooku ‘alayha abwaabaha wa taafa ‘alayha hurraa-suhaa

and the kings have locked their doors and its guards are moving around it

وَ اﺣْﺘَﺠَﺒُﻮا عَمَّنْ ﻳَﺴْﺌَﻠُﻬُﻢْ ﺣَﺎﺟَﺔً اَوْ ﻳَﻨْﺘَﺠِﻊُ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ ﻓَﺎﺋِﺪَةً

wah-tajaboo ‘amman yasaluhum haajatan aw yantaji’u minhum faa-ida

and they are covered from he who wishes to ask them for a need or to get a benefit from them

وَ اَﻧْﺖَ اِﻟﻬِﻲ حَيٌّ قَيُّوْمٌ ﻻَ ﺗَﺎْﺧُﺬُكَ ﺳِﻨَﺔٌ وَ ﻻ ﻧَﻮْمٌ وَ ﻻَ ﻳَﺸْﻐَﻠُﻚَ ﺷَﻴْﺊٌ ﻋَﻦْ ﺷَﻴْﺊٍ

wa anta ilaahi hayyun qayyoomun laa ta-khudhuka sinatun wa laa nawmun wa la yashghaluka shayun ‘an shayin

but You my God, are Ever Living, Subsistent, slumber or sleep does not overtake you (2: 255) and one thing does not occupy You from another

اَﺑْﻮَابُ ﺳَﻤَﺎﺋِﻚَ ﻟِﻤَﻦْ دَﻋَﺎكَ مُفَتَّحَاتٌ وَ ﺧَﺰَاﺋِﻨُﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ مُغَلَّقَاتٍ

abwaabu samaaika liman da’aaka mufattahaatun wa khazaainuka ghairu mughallaqaatin

the doors of Your sky are open for he who asks You and Your treasures are never locked

وَ اَﺑْﻮَابُ رَﺣْﻤَﺘِﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ ﻣَﺤْﺠُﻮْﺑَﺎتٍ وَ ﻓَﻮَاﺋِﺪُكَ ﻟِﻤَﻦْ ﺳَﺄَﻟَﻚَ ﻏَﻴْﺮُ ﻣَﺤْﻈُﻮْرَاتٍ ﺑَﻞْ هِيَ ﻣَﺒْﺬُوْﻻَتٌ

wa abwaabu rahmatika ghairu mahjoobaatin wa fawaaiduka liman sa-a-laka ghairu mahdhooraatin, bal he-ya mabdhoolatun

and the doors of Your mercy are never covered and Your benefits are never forbidden for he who asks You rather they are given generously.

اَﻧْﺖَ اِﻟﻬِﻲ اَﻟْﻜَﺮِﻳْﻢُ الَّذِي ﻻَ تَرُدُّ ﺳَﺎﺋِﻼً ﻣِﻦَ اﻟْﻤُﺆْﻣِﻨِﻴْﻦَ ﺳَﺄَﻟَﻚَ

anta ilaahee al-karremul-ladhee laa taruddu saailan min-al momineena sa-a-lak

You are my God, the Generous who does not turn away a beseecher who asks from You

وَ ﻻَ ﺗَﺤْﺘَﺠِﺐُ ﻋَﻦْ اَﺣَﺪٍ ﻣِﻨْﻬُﻢْ اَرَادَكَ. ﻻَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ وَ ﺟَﻼَﻟِﻚَ

wa laa tahtajibu ‘an ahadin minhum araadak, laa wa ‘izzatika wa jalaalika

and You do not conceal Yourself from anyone of the believers who intends You. No, by Your Honor and Your Majesty

وَ ﻻَ ﺗُﺨْﺘَﺰَلُ ﺣَﻮَاﺋِﺠَﻬُﻢْ دُوْﻧَﻚَ وَ ﻻَ ﻳَﻘْﻀِﻴْﻬَﺎ اَﺣَﺪٌ ﻏَﻴْﺮُكَ

wa laa tukhtazaloo hawaaijahum doonaka wa laa yaqdheeha ahadun ghairuk

no one removes their needs other than You and no one fulfills their needs apart from You.

اللَّهُمَّ وَ ﻗَﺪْ ﺗَﺮَاﻧِﻲ وَ وُﻗُﻮْﻓِﻲ وَ ذُلَّ ﻣَﻘَﺎﻣِﻲ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ ﻳَﺪَﻳْﻚَ

allahumma wa qad taraane wa wuqoofu wa dhulla maqaamee bayna yadayka

O Allah You see me, and my standing (before You) and my humble position in front of You

وَ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻢُ ﺳَﺮِﻳْﺮَﺗِﻲ وَ تَطَّلِعُ ﻋَﻠﻰ ﻣَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ﻗَﻠْﺒِﻲ وَ ﻣَﺎ ﻳَﺼْﻠِﺢُ ﺑِﻪِ اَﻣْﺮُ آﺧِﺮَﺗِﻲ وَ دُﻧْﻴَﺎيَ

wa ta’lamu sareeratee wa tat=tali’u ‘alaa maa fee qalbee wa maa yaslihu bihi amru aakhiratee wa dunyaaya

and You know my secrets and are aware of what is in my heart and of what will improve my affairs of the Hereafter and the world.

اللَّهُمَّ اِنَّ ذِكْرَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ وَ اَهْوَالِ الْمُطَّلِعِ وَاﻟْﻮُﻗُﻮْفَ ﺑَﻴْﻦَ يَدَيْكَ

allahumma inna dhikral mawti wa ahwaalil muttali’i wal wuqoofa bayna yadayka

O Allah, the remembrance of death and the frightening conditions of the observer and standing before You

نَغَّصَنِي ﻣَﻄْﻌَﻤِﻲ وَﻣَﺸْﺮَﺑِﻲ وَ اَغَصَّنِي ﺑِﺮِﻳْﻘِﻲ اَﻗْﻠَﻘَﻨِﻲ ﻋَﻦْ وِﺳَﺎدِي وَ ﻣَﻨَﻌَﻨِﻲ رُﻗَﺎدِي

nagh-ghasanee mat’amee wa mashrabee wa aghassanee bee-reeqee aqlaqanee ‘an wisaadee wa mana’anee ruqaadee

makes me stay away from my food and drink and makes me choke, keeps me away from my pillow and prevents me from sleeping.

كَيْفَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ ﻣَﻦْ ﻳَﺨَﺎفُ ﻣَﻠَﻚَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ ﻓِﻲ ﻃَﻮَارِقِ اللَّيْلِ وَ ﻃَﻮَارِقِ النَّهَارِ

kayfa yanaamu man yakhaafu malakal mawtu fee tawaariqil-layli wa tawaariqin-nahaari

How can one sleep who fears the angel of death? in the calamities of the night and the calamities of the day

ﺑَﻞْ كَيْفَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ اﻟْﻌَﺎﻗِﻞُ وَ ﻣَﻠَﻚُ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ ﻻَ ﻳَﻨَﺎمُ ﻻَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَ ﻻَ بِالنَّهَارِ

bal kayfa yanaamul ‘aaqilu wa malakul mawti laa yanamu laa bil-layli wa laa binnahaari

rather how can an intelligent person sleep while the angel of death does not sleep neither at night nor in the day

وَ ﻳَﻄْﻠُﺐُ رُوْﺣَﻪُ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺒَﻴَﺎتِ وَ ﻓِﻲ آﻧَﺎءِ السَّاعَاتِ

wa yatlubu ruhahu bil bayaati wa fee aaanaais-sa’aati

and seeks his soul in the state of sleep and in the middle of the hours

اَﺳْﺄَﻟُﻚَ الرَّوحَ وَ الرَّاحةَ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ اﻟْﻤَﻮْتِ وَ اﻟْﻌَﻔْﻮَ عَنِّي ﺣِﻴْﻦَ اَﻟْﻘَﺎك

asalukar-rawha war-raahata ‘indal mawti wal ‘afwa ‘annee heena alqaak

I beseech You to give me ease and comfort at the time of death and forgiveness when I meet You

اِلٰهِيْ کَمْ مِنْ مُوْبِقَۃٍ حَلُمْتَ عَنْ مُقَابِلَتِهَا بِنِقْمَتِکَ

Ilāhī kam min mūbiqatin ḥalumta ʿan muqābalatihā biniqmatik

My God, how many destructive deeds have You forborne from meeting with Your vengeance,

وَکَمْ مِنْ جَرِيْرَۃٍ تَکَرَّمْتَ عَنْ کَشْفِهَا بِکَرَمِکَ

wa kam min jarīratin takarramta ʿan kashfihā bikaramik

And how many offenses have You graciously overlooked by Your generosity!

اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ طَالَ فِيْ عِصْيَانِکَ عُمْرِيْ، وَ عَظُمَ فيِ الصُّحُفِ ذَنْبِيْ

Ilāhī in ṭāla fī ʿiṣyānika ʿumrī, wa ʿaẓuma fī al-ṣuḥufi dhanbī

My God, if my life is prolonged in disobedience to You, and my sin is great in the records,

فَمَا اَنَا مُؤَمِّلٌ غَيْرَ غُفْرَانِکَ، وَ لَا اَنَا بِرَاجٍ غَيْرَ رِضْوَانِکَ

famā anā muʾammilun ghayra ghufrānika, wa lā anā birājin ghayra riḍwānik

Then I have no hope except in Your forgiveness, and I have no expectation except in Your pleasure.

اِلٰهِيْ اُفَکِّرُ فِيْ عَفْوِکَ فَتَهُوْنُ عَلَيَّ خَطِيْئَتِيْ

Ilāhī uffakiru fī ʿafwika fatahūnu ʿalayya khaṭīʾatī

My God, I think of Your pardon, and my sin becomes easy for me,

ثُمَّ اَذْکُرُ الْعَظِيْمَ مِنْ اَخْذِکَ فَتَعْظُمُ عَلَيَّ بَلِيَّتِيْ

thumma adhkuru al-ʿaẓīma min akhdhika fataʿẓumu ʿalayya baliyyatī

Then I remember the severity of Your seizure, and my affliction becomes great for me.

اٰهٍ اِنْ اَنَا قَرَاْتُ فِيْ الصُّحُفِ سَيِّئَۃً اَنَا نَاسِيْهَا وَ اَنْتَ مُحْصِيْهَا

āhin in anā qaraʾtu fī al-ṣuḥufi sayyiʾatan anā nāsīhā wa anta muḥṣīhā

Ah, if I read in the records an evil deed that I have forgotten, and You have recorded,

فَتَقُوْلُ: خُذُوْهُ، فَيَا لَهٗ مِنْ مَاْخُوْذٍ لَا تُنْجِيْهِ عَشِيْرَتُهٗ

fataqūlu khudhūhu fayā lahu min mākhūdh lā tunjīhi ʿashīratuhu

Then You say, "Seize him!" So woe to him who is seized, whom his clan will not save,

وَ لَا تَنْفَعُهٗ قَبِيْلَتُهٗ يَرْحَمُهُ الْمَلَأُ اِذَا اُذِنَ فِيْهِ بِالنِّدَاءِ

wa lā tanfaʿuhu qabīlatuhu yarḥamuhu al-malaʾu idhā udhina fīhi bil-nidāʾ

And his tribe will not benefit him. The angels will have mercy on him when the call is authorized for him.

اٰهٍ مِنْ نَارٍ تُنْضِجُ الْاَکْبَادَ وَ الْکُلٰي،

āhin min nārin tunḍiju al-ʾakbāda wa al-kulá

Ah, from a fire that ripens the livers and the kidneys,

اٰهٍ مِنْ نَارٍ نَزَّاعَۃٍ لِلشَّوٰي،

āhin min nārin nazzāʿatin lil-shawá

Ah, from a fire that snatches away the extremities,

اٰهٍ مِنْ غَمْرَۃٍ مِنْ لَهَبَاتٍ لَظٰي

āhin min ghamratin min lahabātin laẓá

Ah, from an immersion in the flames of Hellfire!

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّد

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

اَللّهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ اَلْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

O Allah You are the Ever Living, the Eternal the Elevated, the Mighty

اَلْخَالِقُ الرَّازِقُ اَلْمُحْيِي الْمُمِيْتُ

the Creator, the Sustainer the One who gives life and the One who causes to die

اَلْبَدِيئُ الْبَدِيْعُ

the Beginner, the Unique

لَكَ الْكَرَمُ وَ لَكَ الْجُوْدُ

For You is nobility and for You is generosity

وَ لَكَ الْمَنُّ وَ لَكَ الاَمْرُ

and for You is grace and for You is the command

وَحْدَكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ

You are One there is no partner for You

يَا خَالِقُ يَا رَازِقُ

O Creator, O Sustainer

يَا مُحْيِي يَا مُمِيْتُ

O the One who gives life and the One who causes to die

يَا بَدِيْعُ يَا رَفِيْعُ

O the Unique, the Sublime

اَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

I ask you to bless Muhammad and his family

وَ اَنْ تَرْحَمَ ذُلِّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ تَضَرُّعِي اِلَيْكَ

and to have mercy on my lowliness before You and my beseeching You

وَحْشَتِي مِنَ النَّاسِ وَ اُنْسِي بِك

and my loneliness from people and my intimacy with You

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُکَ بِحُرْمَۃِ مَنْ عَاذَ بِکَ مِنْکَ

Allāhumma innī ʾasʾaluka biḥurmati man ʿādha bika minka

O Allah, I ask You by the sanctity of whoever seeks refuge in You from You,

وَ لَجَأَ اِلٰي عِزِّکَ وَ اسْتَظَلَّ بِفَيْئِکَ وَ اعْتَصَمَ بِحَبْلِکَ

wa lajaʾa ʾilá ʿizzika wastaẓalla bifayʾika waʾʿtaṣama biḥablik

And seeks shelter in Your might, and shade in Your shadow, and holds fast to Your rope,

وَ لَمْ يَثِقْ اِلاَّ بِکَ يَا مُطْلِقَ الْاُسَارٰي

wa lam yathiq illā bika yā muṭliqa al-ʾusārā

And trusts none but You, O Reliever of captives.

يَامَنْ سَمّٰي نَفْسَهٗ مِنْ جُوْدِهٖ وَهَّابًا وَ هَا اَنَا اَدْعُوْکَ

Yā man sammā nafsahū min jūdihī wahhāban wa hā anā ʾadʿūka

O You who named Yourself, out of Your generosity, "The Giver," and here I am calling upon You,

رَغَبًا وَ رَهَبًا وَخَوْفًا وَ طَمَعًا وَ اِنْجَاحًا وَ اِلْحَاحًا

raghaban wa rahban wa khawfan wa ṭamaʿan wa ʾinjāḥan wa ʾilhāḥan

With desire and awe, and fear and hope, and earnestly and insistently,

وَ تَضَرُّعًا وَ تَمَلُّقًا وَ قَائِمًا وَ قَاعِدًا وَّرَاکِعًا

wa taḍarruʿan wa tamalluqan wa qāʾiman wa qāʿidan wa rākiʿan

And beseechingly and entreatingly, and standing and sitting and bowing

وَ سَاجِدًا وَ رَاکِبًا وَمَا شِيًا وَ ذَاهِبًا وَ جَآئِيًا

wa sājidan wa rākiban wa māshiyan wa dhāhiban wa jāʾiyan

And prostrating, and riding and walking and going and coming,

وَ فِيْ کُلِّ حَالاَتِيْ اَسْئَلُکَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰي مُحَمَّدٍ

wa fī kulli ḥālātī ʾasʾaluka ʾan tuṣalliya ʿalā Muḥammadin

And in all my states, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad

وَّ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ (’’وَاَنْ تَفْعَلْ بِيْ کَذَا وَکَذَا وَ تَذْکُرُ حَاجَتَکَ‘‘)

wa āli Muḥammadin (wa ʾan tafʿal bī kadhā wa kadhā wa tadhkuru ḥājataka)

And the family of Muhammad (and that You do for me such and such, and mention your need).

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

اِلهِي تَعَرَّضَ لَكَ فِي هذَا اللَّيْلِ الْمُتَعَرِّضُوْنَ

O Allah, on this night the seekers have sought You

وَ قَصَدَكَ فِيْهِ الْقَاصِدُوْنَ

and the aspirers have aspired for You

وَ اَمَّلَ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ الطَّالِبُوْنَ

and the searchers have hoped for Your blessings and grace

وَ لَكَ فِي هذَا اللَّيْلِ نَفَحَاتٌ

For You have in this night, hidden bounties

وَ جَوَائِزُ وَ عَطَايَا وَ مَوَاهِبُ

and rewards and presents and gifts

تَمُنُّ بِهَا عَلى مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

which You bestow upon whom you please from Your servants

وَ تَمْنَعُهَا مَنْ لَمْ تَسْبِقُ لَهُ الْعِنَايَةُ مِنْكَ

and You deny them to one who has not reached Your regard

وَ هَا اَنَا ذَا عُبَيْدُكَ الْفَقِيْرُ اِلَيْكَ

Here I am,Your abject servant in need of You

اَلْمُؤَمِّلُ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ

hopeful of Your blessings and grace

فَاِنْ كُنْتَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ تَفَضَّلْتَ فِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

So, O my Master if You have bestowed blessings on this night

عَلى اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

on anyone of Your creatures

وَ عُدْتَ عَلَيْهِ بِعَائِدَةٍ مِنْ عَطْفِكَ

and turned to him with affection

فَصَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

then bless Muhammad and his family the pure, the purified,

اَلطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ اَلْخَيِّرِيْنَ اَلْفَاضِلِيْنَ

the virtuous onesthe excellent ones

وَ جُدْ عَلَيَّ بِطَوْلِكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفِكَ

and favor me with Your grace and bounty

يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ

O Lord of the worlds And send blessings on Muhammad

خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا

the seal of the Prophets and his family, the Purified and salute them witha perfect salutation

اِنَّ اللّهَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

Surely Allah is praiseworthy, Glorious

اَللّهُمَّ اِنِّي اَدْعُوْكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَ فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَ

O Allah I have supplicated to You'as You have commanded.then answer me as You have promised.

اِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ

Surely You do not break Your promises.

لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul Halimul Karim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Forbearing and Generous

لآ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

Laa ilaaha illallaahul ‘Aliyyul ‘Azim

There is none worth worshipping but Allah Who is Most High and Great

سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ

Subhaanallaahi Rabbis Samaawaatis Sab'

Glory be to Allah, Who is the Sustainer of the seven heavens and of the seven earth

وَ رَبِّ الاَرْضِيْنَ السَّبْعِ

wa Rabbil ‘Arzinas Sab'

And Who is the Sustainer of all the things

وَ مَا فِيْهِنَّ وَ مَا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَ

wa maa fihinna wa maa baynahunna

in them, and between them,

رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

wa Rabbul 'Arshil ‘Azim

And Who is the Lord of the great 'Arsh (Divine Center of Authority & Power)

وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Wal Hamdul lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalamin

And all praise for Allah, the Sustainer of the worlds.

وَمَا فَوْقَهُنَّ وَمَا تَحْتَهُنَّ وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

and what is above them and what is under them Rabb of the Mighty throne

اَلَّلهُمَّ اَنْتَ اللهُ نُوْرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

O Allah , You are Allah,the Light of the heavens and the earth

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ زَيْنُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

You are Allah, the Ornament of the heavens and the earth

وَ انت اللهُ جَمَالُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

You are Allah, the Beauty of the heavens and the earth

وَاَنْتَ اللهُ عِمَادُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

You are Allah, the Pillar of the heavens and the earth

اَنْتَ اللهُ قِوَامُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ

You are Allah, the Support of the heavens and the earth

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ صَرِيْخُ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ

You are Allah, the Object of those who call out for help

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ غِيَاثُ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ

You are Allah, the Helper of those who seek help

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ المُفَرَّجُ عَنِ الْمَكْرُوْبِيْنَ

You are Allah, the Reliever of those in distress

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ الْمُرَوِّحُ عَنِ الْمُغْمُومِيْنَ

You are Allah , the one who gives happiness to the grieved

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ مُجِيْبُ دَعْوَةُ الْمُضْطَرِيْنَ

You are Allah, the one who answers the call of the distressed

وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ اِلهُ العَالَمِيْنَ وَ اَنْتَ اللهُ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيْمْ

You are Allah, God of the worlds You are Allah, the most merciful

...اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ل

Allaahummagh Firli… (Name)

O Allah, forgive (Name)…

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ رَبِّي وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa Atuubu Ilayh

I seek forgiveness of Allah my Lord and I turn to Him

هذَا مَقَامُ الْعَآئِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

Haadhaa Maqaamul 'Aaidhi Bika Minannaar

This is the position of one who seeks refuge in You from the fire [of Hell]

اَلْعَفْوَ

Al-'Afwa

(I ask for) forgiveness

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ تُبْ عَلَيَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ

rabbighfirli warhamni wa tub alayya ,innaka antat-tawwabur-rahim

Lord, forgive me and have mercy on me, and turn to me, Surely You are the Oft-returning, the Merciful

هٰذَا مَقَامُ الْعَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ.

haazaa maqaamul a’a-eze beka menan naar.

This is the position of the seeker of protection with You from the hell fire

اَللّٰهُمَّ اهْدِنِيْ فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَ عَافِنِيْ فِيْمَنْ عَافَيْتَ

Allāhumma ihdinī fīman hadayt, wa ‘āfinī fīman ‘āfayt

O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, and grant me health among those You have granted health,

وَ تَوَلَّنِيْ فِيْمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَ بَارِكْ لِيْ فِيْمَا اَعْطَيْتَ

wa tawallanī fīman tawallayt, wa bārik lī fīmā a‘ṭayt

And take me as a protector among those You have taken as protectors, and bless me in what You have given,

وَ قِنِيْ شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ اِنَّكَ تَقْضِيْ وَ لَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْكَ

wa qinī sharra mā qaḍayt, innaka taqḍī wa lā yuqḍā ‘alayk

And protect me from the evil of what You have decreed, for indeed You decree and none can decree over You.

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّ الْبَيْتِ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ

Subḥānaka rabba al-bayti, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk

Glory be to You, Lord of the House, I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You,

وَ اُوْمِنُ بِكَ وَ اَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ

wa ūminu bika wa atawakkalu ‘alayk, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bik

And I believe in You and I place my trust in You, and there is no might nor power except with You,

يَا رَحِيْمُ.

yā Raḥīm

O Most Merciful.

رَبِّ اَسَاْتُ وَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَ بِئْسَ مَا صَنَعْتُ

O Allah! I am a sinner, I have done oppression on my self, and whatever I have done is wrong,

فَهَذِهِ يَدَايَ يَا رَبِّ جَزَآءَ بِمَا کَسَبْتُ وَ هَاذِهِ

now both these hands are presented for punishment,

رَقَبَتِى خَاضِعَةً لِّمَا اَتَيْتُ وَهَا اَنَا ذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

and the neck is bowed down due to my sins and now I have presented myself in Your presence.

فَخُذْ لِنَنفْسِي مِنْ نَفْسِى الرِّضَا حَتَّى تَرْضَى لَكَ

So take for me my satisfaction from myself until it is satisfied with you.

الْعُتْبَى لاَ اَعُوْدُ

so that You love my actions and then I never repeat such deeds again.

إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ اصْدُرُ عَنْ بَابِكَ بِخَيْبَةٍ مِنْكَ

ilahi kayfa asduru ʿan babika bikhaybatin minka

O my God, how can it be that I return from Your door carrying disappointment of You

وَقَدْ قَصَدْتُهُ عَلَىٰ ثِقَةٍ بِكَ

wa qad qasadtuhu ʿala thiqatin bika

after I have come to it putting my trust in You?

إِلٰهِي كَيْفَ تُؤْيِسُنِي مِنْ عَطَائِكَ

ilahi kayfa tu'yisuni min ʿata'ika

O my God, how can it be that You make me despair of Your gifts

وَقَدْ امَرْتَنِي بِدُعَائِكَ

wa qad amartani biduʿa'ika

after You have ordered me to pray You?

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

(Please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَٱرْحَمْنِي إِذَا ٱشْتَدَّ ٱلانِينُ

warhamni idha ishtadda al-aninu

and have mercy upon me when moaning will intensify,

وَحُظِرَ عَلَيَّ ٱلْعَمَلُ

wa huzira ʿalayya alʿamalu

when action will be banned,

وَٱنْقَطَعَ مِنِّي ٱلامَلُ

wanqataʿa minni al-amalu

when hope will be cut off,

وَافْضَيْتُ إِلَىٰ ٱلْمَنُونِ

wa afdaytu ila almanuni

when I will be led to death,

وَبَكَتْ عَلَيَّ ٱلْعُيُونُ

wa bakat ʿalayya alʿuyunu

when eyes will weep for me,

وَوَدَّعَنِي ٱلاهْلُ وَٱلاحْبَابُ

wa waddaʿani al-ahlu wal-ahbabu

when my family members and dear ones will bid farewell to me,

وَحُثِيَ عَلَيَّ ٱلتُّرَابُ

wa huthiya ʿalayya altturabu

when dust will be poured upon me,

وَنُسِيَ ٱسْمِي

wa nusiya ismi

when my name will be forgotten,

وَبَلِيَ جِسْمِي

wa baliya jismi

when my body will be rotten,

وَٱنْطَمَسَ ذِكْرِي

wantamasa dhikri

when my remembrance will be wiped out,

وَهُجِرَ قَبْرِي

wa hujira qabri

when my grave will be deserted;

فَلَمْ يَزُرْنِي زَائِرٌ

falam yazurni za'irun

so, no one will ever visit me

وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْنِي ذَاكِرٌ

wa lam yadhkurni dhakirun

and no one will ever remember me,

وَظَهَرَتْ مِنِّي ٱلْمَآثِمُ

wa zaharat minni alma'athimu

when the responsibilities of my sins will appear,

وَٱسْتَوْلَتْ عَلَيَّ ٱلْمَظَالِمُ

wastawlat ʿalayya almazalimu

when my violations of the others' rights will overtake me,

وَطَالَتْ شِكَايَةُ ٱلْخُصُومِ

wa talat shikayatu alkhusumi

when the complaints of my rivals will be admitted,

وَٱتَّصَلَتْ دَعْوَةُ ٱلْمَظْلُومِ

wa ittasalat daʿwatu almazlumi

and when the prayer of the oppressed ones against me will be responded.

صَلِّ ٱللَّهُمَّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

salli allahumma ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَارْضِ خُصُومِي عَنِّي

wa ardi khusumi ʿanni

make my rivals be pleased with me

بِفَضْلِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ

bifadlika wa ihsanika

out of Your favoring and Your good turns,

وَجُدْ عَلَيَّ بِعَفْوِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

wa jud ʿalayya biʿafwika wa ridwanika

and treat me magnanimously out of Your pardon and pleasure.

إِلٰهِي ذَهَبَتْ ايَّامُ لَذَّاتِي

ilahi dhahabat ayyamu ladhdhati

O Allah, the days of my pleasures have gone away

وَبَقِيَتْ مَآثِمِي وَتَبِعَاتِي

wa baqiyat ma'athimi wa tabiʿati

and nothing remained but my sins and the liabilities of my wrongdoings.

وَقَدْ اتَيْتُكَ مُنِيباً تَائِباً

wa qad ataytuka muniban ta'iban

I have thus come to You repentant and penitent.

فَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي مَحْرُوماً وَلاَ خَائِباً

fala taruddani mahruman wa la kha'iban

So, (please) do not reject me deprived and disappointed.

اَللَّهُمَّ آمِنْ رَوْعَتِي

allahumma amin rawʿati

O Allah, (please) secure my fear,

وَٱغْفِرْ زَلَّتِي

waghfir zallati

forgive my slips,

وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ

wa tub ʿalayya

and accept my repentance.

إِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

innaka anta alttawwabu alrrahimu

Verily, You are the Oft-Returning, the All-merciful.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful

اَلَّلهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

سَيِّدِي سَيِّدِي هذِهِ يَدَايَ قَدْ مَدَدْن.تُهُمَا اِلَيْكَ بِاذُنُوْبِ مَمْلُوْءَةً

My Master, My Master, I have stretched out these hands to You full of sins

وَ عَيْنَايَ بِالرَّجَاءِ مَمْدُوْدَةً وَحَقٌّ يِمَنْ دَعَاكَ بِالْكَرَمِ تَفَضُّلاَ

and my eyes stretched out with hope and it is the right of the one who calls You with regret and humility that You answer him with Generosity and Grace

سَيِّدِي آمِنْ اَهْلِ الشَّقَاءِ خَلُقْتَنِي قَاَطِيْلُ بُكَائِي

My master,have You created me from the unfortunate ones so I should lengthen my weeping?

اَمْ مِنْ اَهْلِ السَّعَادَةِ خَلُفْتَنٍي

or have You created me from the fortunate ones

فَاُبَشِّرُ رَجَائِي

so I should give glad tidings to my hopes?

سَيِّدِي لَوْ اَنَّ عَبْدًا اِسْتَطَاعَ الْهَرَبَ مِنْ مَوْلاَهُ

My master, if a servant was able to escape from his Master

لَكُنْتُ اَوَّلَ الْهَارِبِيْنَ مِنْكَ لكِنِّي اَعْلَمُ اَنِّي لاَ اَفُوْتُكَ

then I would be the first of those who escape from You but I know that I cannot escape You

اِلَهِي وَ سَيِّدِي اِرْحَمْنِي مَصْرُوْعًا عَلى الْفِرَاشِ

My God and my master, have mercy on me when I am lying on my bed[dead]

تُقَلِّبُنِي اَيْدِي اَحِبَّتِي وَارْحَمْنِي مَصطْرُوحًا عَلى الْمُغْتَسَلِ يُغَسِّلَنِي صَالِحُ جِيْرَتِي

Have mercy on me when the hands of my loved ones turn me when I am placed on the place of ghusl and the virtuous near ones wash me

وَاَرْحَمْنِي مَحْمُولاَ قَدْ تَنَاوَلَ اَلاَقْرِبَاءُ اَطْرَافَ جَنَازَتِي

Have mercy on me when I am being carried, and my relatives have surrounded my coffin

وَ ارْحَمْ فِي ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ الْمُظْلِمِ وَحْشَتِي وَ غُرْبَتِي وَ وَحْدَتِي

Have mercy on me in that dark house on my fear, my separation, and my loneliness have mercy on me

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

Subbohon, Qoddoson, Rabbul Mala’ekati Wal-Rooh

All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

bismillahir rahmanir raheem

In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, the Merciful

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli ‘alaa muhammadin wa ali muhammad

O Allah bless Muhammad and his family

اُنَاجِيْکَ يَا مَوْجُوْدًا فِيْ کُلِّ مَکَانٍ

unaajika ya mawjoodan fi kulli makaan

I whisper unto You O One Who is present in every place

لَعَلَّکَ تَسْمَعُ نِدَآئِيْ فَقَدْ عَظُمَ جُرْمِيْ وَ قَلَّ حَيَآئِيْ

la’allaka tasma’oo nidaaee faqad ‘adhuma jurmi wa qalla hayaaee

So that you may hear my call for surely my sin is excessive and my shame is less

مَوْلَايَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اَيَّ الْاَهْوَالِ اَتَذَکَّرُ

mawlaya ya mawlaya ayyal ahwali atadhakkar

My Master, O my Master which of the terrifying states shall I remember

وَ اَيَّهَا اَنْسٰي وَ لَوْ لَمْ يَکُنْ اِلاَّ الْمَوْتُ لَکَفٰي

wa ayyahaa ansaa wa law lam yakun illal maawtu lakafaa

and which of them shall I forget for if there was nothing except death it would be enough

کَيْفَ وَمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ اَعْظَمُ وَ اَدْهَي

kayfaa wa maa b’adal mawti a‘adhamoo wa ad-haa

then what about after death greater and much worse?

مَولاَيَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ حَتّٰي مَتٰي وَ اِلٰي مَتٰي اَقُوْلُ

mawlaya ya mawlaya hatta mata wa ilaa mata aqulu

My master O my Master up to when and till when will I say,

لَکَ الْعُتْبٰي مَرَّةً بَعْدَ اُخْرٰي ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُ عِنْدِيْ صِدْقًا وَ لاَ وَفَآءً

lakal ‘utbaa marratan b’ada ukhraa thumma laa tajidu ‘indee sidqan wa laa wafaa-an

I am to blame, again and again, but then You do not find any truth or loyalty in me?

فَيَاغَوْثَاهُ ثُمَّ وَاغَوْثَاهُ بِکَ

fa yaa ghawthaa-hu thumma wa ghaw'thaahu bika

I call for help and I call for help,

يَا اَللّٰهُ مِنْ هَوًي قَدْ غَلَبَنِيْ وَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ قَدِ اسْتَکْلَبَ عَلَيَّ

ya allahu min hawaa qad ghalabanee wa min ‘aduwwin qad-istaklaba ‘alayya

O Allah from desires which have overpowered me and from the enemy which has pounced on me

وَ مِنْ دُنْيَا قَدْ تَزَيَّنَتْ لِيْ وَ مِنْ نَفْسٍ اَمَّارَةٍ بِالسُّوٓءِ اِلاَّ مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّيْ

wa min dunyaa qad-tazayyanat lee wa min nafsin ammaaratin bis-suui illa ma rahima rabbee

and from the world which attracts me and from the soul that leads towards evil except that on which my Lord has mercy (12: 53)

مَوْلاَيَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ اِنْ کُنْتَ رَحِمْتَ مِثْلِي فَارْحَمْنِيْ

mawlaya ya mawlaya in kunta rahimta mithlee farhamnee

My master O my master if You have had mercy on the likes of me then have mercy on me

وَ اِنْ کُنْتَ قَبِلْتَ مِثْلِيْ فَاقْبَلْنِيْ

wa inkuntaa qabilta mithlee faqbalnee

and if You have accepted from the likes of me then accept from me

يَا قَبِلَ السَّحَرَةِ اِقْبَلْنِيْ يَا مَنْ لَمْ اَزَلْ اَتَعَرَّفُ مِنْهُ الْحُسْنٰي

ya qabilas-saharati iqbalnee ya man lam azal at’arrafu min hul husna

O One Who accepts the early morning prayer accept me, O One who, I still know only good from Him

يَا مَنْ يُغَذِّيْنِيْ بِالنِّعَمِ صَبَاحًا وَ مَسَآءً اِرْحَمْنِيْ يَوْمَ اٰتِيْکَ فَرْدًا شَاخِصًا اِلَيْکَ

ya man yughadh-dhinee bin-n’eami sabaahan wa masaa-an irhamnee yawma aateeka fardan shakhisan ilayka

O One who nourishes me with blessings morning and evening have mercy on me when I come to You alone,

بَصَرِيْ مُقَلَّدًا عَمَلِيْ قَدْ تَبَرَّءَ جَمِيْعُ الْخَلْقِ مِنِّيْ

basari muqaliddan ‘amali qad ta barra-a jamee'ul khalqi minni

my glance fixed on You my actions carried on my neck When all of creation will withdraw away from me

نَعَمْ وَ اَبِيْ وَ اُمِّيْ وَ مَنْ کَانَ لَهُ کَدِّيْ وَ سَعْيِيْ

na'am wa abi wa ummi wa man kana lahoo kaddee wa sa’ayi

yes, even my father and mother and those for whom I worked and struggled

فَاِنْ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِيْ فَمَنْ يَرْحَمُنِيْ

fa in -am tarhamni fa man yarhamuni

then if You will not have mercy on me who will have mercy on me

وَ مَنْ يُوْنِسُ فِيْ الْقَبْرِ وَحْشَتِيْ وَ مَنْ يُنْطِقُ لِسَانِيْ اِذَا خَلَوْتُ بِعَمَلِيْ

wa man yunisu fil qabri wahshati wa man yuntiqoo lisanee idha khalawtu bi ‘amali

who will give me solace from the loneliness of the grave and who will make me speak when I am alone with my deeds

وَ سَاءَلْتَنِيْ عَمَّا اَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّيْ

wa saa-altanee ‘amma anta a’alamu bihi minni

and when You will ask me about what You know better than me?

فَاِنْ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَاَيْنَ الْمَحْرَبُ مِنْ عَدْلِکَ

fa-in qultu na’am fa aynal mahraboo min ‘adlik

Then if I say yes (to my sins) where will be the escape from Your Justice?

وَ اِنْ قُلْتُ لَمْ اَفْعَلْ قُلْتَ اَلَمْ اَکُنِ الشَّاهِدَ عَلَيْکَ

wa in qulta lam af’al qulta alam akunish-shahida ‘alayka

And if I say I did not commit it You will say was I not a witness over you?

فَعَفْوُکَ عَفْوُکَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ قَبْلَ سَرَابِيْلِ الْقَطِرَانِ

fa ‘awfuka ‘awfuka ya mawlaaya qabla saraabeelil qatiraan

So (I beseech) Your Forgiveness Your Pardon O my master before the wearing of the clothes of Hell

عَفْوُکَ عَفْوُکَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ قَبْلَ جَهَنَّمَ وَ النِّيْرَانِ

fa ‘awfuka ‘awfuka ya mawlaaya qabla jahannama wan-neeraan

Your Forgiveness Your Pardon O my Master before the Hell and the Fire

عَفْوُکَ عَفْوُکَ يَا مَوْلاَيَ قَبْلَ اَنْ تُغَلَّ الْاَيْدِيْ اِلٰي الْاَعْنَاقِ

fa ‘awfuka ‘awfuka ya mawlaaya qabla an tughallal aydee ilal a’anaaq

Your Forgiveness Your Forgiveness O my Master before the hands are tied to the necks

يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ وَ خَيْرَ الْغَافِرِيْنَ.

ya arhamar-rahimeen, wa khayral ghaafireen

O the most Merciful and the best of Forgivers

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَ بِحَمْدِهِ اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَاَسْألَهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ

Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him. I seek protection of Allah and I beseech Him to give me His bounties generously.

مَا شَاءَ الُ

فَ صَلّ عَل يٰ مُحَمّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمّدٍ،

fa ṣalli ʿalā muḥammadin wa āli muḥammad,

So send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَ اجْعَلْ لِىْ فِيْ مَا تَشَاءُ اَنْ تُعَجّلَ فَرَجَ آلِ

wajʿal lī fī mā tashāʾu an tuʿajjila faraja āli

And grant me, in what You will, that You hasten the relief of the family

مُحَمّدٍ صَلّي الُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلّمَ،

muḥammadin ṣallá allāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi wa sallam,

Of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace,

وَ عَجّلْ فَرَجِىْ وَ فَرَجَ اِخْوَ انِىْ مَقْرُوْناً بِفَرَجِهِمْ،

wa ʿajjil farajī wa faraja ʾikhwānī maqrūnan bifarajihim,

And hasten my relief and the relief of my brothers, joined with their relief,

وَ تَفْعَلَ بِىْ مَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ.

wa tafʿala bī mā anta ʾahluh.

And do with me what You are worthy of.

أَللَّهُمَّ إِنّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَلَمْ يُسْأَلْ مِثْلُكَ ، أَنْتَ مَوْضِعُ مَسْأَلَةِ السَّائِلينَ

Allāhumma innī as'aluka wa lam yus'al mithluka, anta mawḍi'u mas'alati al-ssā'ilīn,

O Allah, I ask You, and none like You has been asked. You are the place where those who ask direct their questions,

وَمُنْتَهى رَغْبَةِ الرَّاغِبينَ ، أَدْعُوكَ وَلَمْ يُدْعَ مِثْلُكَ

wa muntahā raghbati al-rrāghibīn, ad'ūka wa lam yud'a mithluka

And the ultimate desire of those who yearn. I call upon You, and none like You has been called upon.

وَأَرْغَبُ إِلَيْكَ وَلَمْ يُرْغَبْ إِلى مِثْلِكَ ، أَنْتَ مُجيبُ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضْطَرّينَ

wa arghabu ilayka wa lam yurghab ilā mithlika, anta mujību da'wati al-muḍṭarrīn

And I yearn to You, and none like You is yearned to. You are the responder to the prayer of those in distress,

وَأَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمينَ .

wa arḥamu al-rrāḥimīn.

And the Most Merciful of the merciful.

أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ الْمَسائِلِ وَأَنْجَحِها وَأَعْظَمِها ، يا اَللَّهُ يا رَحْمانُ يا رَحيمُ

As'aluka bi-afḍali al-masā'ili wa anjaḥihā wa a'ẓamihā, yā Allāhu yā Raḥmānu yā Raḥīm

I ask You by the best of requests, and the most successful, and the greatest, O Allah, O Most Gracious, O Most Merciful,

وَبِأَسْمائِكَ الْحُسْنى ، وَأَمْثالِكَ الْعُلْيا ، وَنِعَمِكَ الَّتي لاتُحْصى

wa bi-asmā'ika al-ḥusná, wa amthālika al-'ulyā, wa ni'amika allatī lā tuḥṣā

And by Your most beautiful names, and Your highest attributes, and Your blessings that cannot be counted,

وَبِأَكْرَمِ أَسْمائِكَ عَلَيْكَ ، وَأَحَبِّها إِلَيْكَ ، وَأَقْرَبِها مِنْكَ وَسيلَةً

wa bi-akrami asmā'ika 'alayka, wa aḥabbiha ilayka, wa aqrabiha minka wasīlatan

And by the most honorable of Your names to You, and the most beloved of them to You, and the closest of them to You as a means,

وَأَشْرَفِها عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلَةً ، وأَجْزَلِها لَدَيْكَ ثَواباً ، وَأَسْرَعِها فِي الْاُمُورِ إِجابَةً

wa ashrafiha 'indaka manzila, wa ajzaliha ladayka thawāba, wa asra'iha fī al-umūri ʾijābatan

And the most noble of them in status with You, and the most abundant of them in reward with You, and the swiftest of them in answering matters,

وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنُونِ الْأَكْبَرِ الْأَعَزِّ الْأَجَلِّ الْأَعْظَمِ الْأَكْرَمِ

wa bi-ismika al-maknūni al-akbari al-a'azzi al-ajalli al-a'ẓami al-akrami

And by Your hidden name, the Greatest, the Mightiest, the Most Sublime, the Most Magnificent, the Most Honorable,

اَلَّذي تُحِبُّهُ وَتَهْواهُ ، وَتَرْضى بِهِ عَمَّنْ دَعاكَ ،

alladhī tuḥibbuhu wa tahwāhu, wa tarḍá bihi 'amman da'āka

Which You love and desire, and You are pleased with it from whoever calls upon You,

فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ دُعاءَهُ ، وَحَقٌّ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ لاتَحْرِمَ سائِلَكَ وَلاتَرُدَّهُ .

fasta jabta lahu du'ā'ahu, wa ḥaqqun 'alayka an lā taḥrima sā'ilaka wa lā taruddah.

So You answer his prayer, and it is incumbent upon You not to deprive Your asker and not to turn him away.

وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ فِي التَّوْراةِ وَالْإِنْجيلِ وَالزَّبُورِ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْعَظيمِ

Wa bi-kulli ismin huwa laka fī al-Tawrāt wa al-Injīl wa al-Zabūr wa al-Qur'ān al-'aẓīm

And by every name that is Yours in the Torah and the Gospel and the Psalms and the Great Quran,

وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ دَعاكَ بِهِ حَمَلَةُ عَرْشِكَ وَمَلائِكَتُكَ ، وَأَنْبِياؤُكَ وَرُسُلُكَ

Wa bi-kulli ismin da'āka bihi ḥamalat 'arshika wa malā'ikatuka, wa anbiyā'uka wa rusuluka

And by every name that the bearers of Your Throne and Your angels called You by, and Your prophets and Your messengers,

وَأَهْلُ طاعَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ ، أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa ahlu ṭā'atika min khalqika, an tuṣalliya 'alá Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

And those who obey You from Your creation, that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تُعَجِّلَ فَرَجَ وَلِيِّكَ وَابْنِ وَلِيِّكَ ، وَتُعَجِّلَ خِزْيَ أَعْدائِهِ

Wa an tu'ajjila faraja waliyyika wabni waliyyika, wa tu'ajjila khizya a'dā'ih

And that You hasten the relief of Your Wali and the son of Your Wali, and hasten the disgrace of his enemies.
