اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and his Household.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ

wa ʿajjil farajahum

hasten their Relief,

وَأَهْلِكْ عَدُوَّهُمْ

wa ahlik ʿaduwwahum

and destroy their enemies

مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنْسِ

mina aljinni wal-insi

from both jinn and human beings,

مِنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْآخِرِينَ

mina al-awwalina wal-akhirina

both the foremost and the later ones.

Recite after the `Asr Prayer on Thursday up to the end of Friday daytime.

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ

subhanallahi

All Glory be to Allah.

اللَّهُ اكْبَرُ

allahu-akbar

Allah is the Most Great.

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ

la ilaha illa allahu

There is no god save Allah.

Last Hour of Thursday

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

astaghfiru allaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa

I pray the forgiveness of Allah; there is no god but He,

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ

alhayyu alqayyumu

the Ever-living, the Self-Subsisting,

وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

wa atubu ilayhi

and I repent to Him

تَوْبَةَ عَبْدٍ خَاضِعٍ

tawbata ʿabdin khadiʿin

as a slave who is submissive,

مِسْكِينٍ مُسْتَكِينٍ

miskinin mustakinin

acquiescent, and poor,

لاَ يَسْتَطيعُ لِنَفْسِهِ صَرْفاً وَلاَ عَدْلاً

la yastatiʿu linafsihi sarfan wa la ʿadlan

not controlling for himself any harm or profit,

وَلاَ نَفْعاً وَلاَ ضَرّاً

wa la nafʿan wa la darran

or benefit or damage

وَلاَ حَيَاةً وَلاَ مَوْتاً وَلاَ نُشُوراً

wa la hayatan wa la mawtan wa la nushuran

and not controlling death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life.

وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ

wa salla allahu ʿala muhammadin

May Allah send peace upon Muhammad

وَعِتْرَتِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبينَ ٱلطَّاهِرينَ

wa ʿitratihi alttayyibina alttahirina

and his Household; the pure, the immaculate,

ٱلْأَخْيَارِ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ

al-akhyari al-abrari

the choicest, and the pious;

وَسَلَّمَ تَسْليماً

wa sallama tasliman

and may He spread thorough blessings over them.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَريمِ

allahumma inni as'aluka biwajhika alkarimi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face

وَٱسْمِكَ ٱلْعَظيمِ

wasmika alʿazimi

and in the name of Your Sublime Name

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to send blessings to Muhammad and his Household

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِيَ ٱلْعَظيمَ

wa an taghfira li dhanbiya alʿazima

and to forgive me my grave sin.

Short Duas for Night Preceeding Friday

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ ٱلْكَريمِ

allahumma inni as'aluka biwajhika alkarimi

O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face

وَٱسْمِكَ ٱلْعَظيمِ

wasmika alʿazimi

and in the name of Your Sublime Name

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ

an tusalliya ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

to send blessings to Muhammad and his Household

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِيَ ٱلْعَظيمَ

wa an taghfira li dhanbiya alʿazima

and to forgive me my grave sin.

يَا دَائِمَ ٱلْفَضْلِ عَلَىٰ ٱلْبَريِّةِ

ya da'ima alfadli ʿala albariyyati

O He Who is ever-Favorer on the beings!

يَا بَاسِطَ ٱلْيَدَيْنِ بِٱلْعَطِيَّةِ

ya basita aliyadayni bilʿatiyyati

O He Who is openhandedly Bestower of gifts!

يَا صَاحِبَ ٱلْمَوَاهِبِ ٱلسَّنِيَّةِ

ya sahiba almawahibi alssaniyyati

O He Who is the Giver of sublime donations!

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمِّدٍ وَآلِهِ

salli ʿala muhammadin wa alihi

Bless Muhammad and his Household,

خَيْرِ ٱلْوَرَىٰ سَجِيَّةً

khayri alwara sajiyyatan

the best of all creatures in traits,

وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا يَا ذَٱ ٱلْعُلَىٰ

waghfir lana ya dhalʿula

and forgive us, O Lord of Highness,

فِي هٰذِهِ ٱلْعَشِيَّةِ

fi hadhihi alʿashiyyati

at this evening.

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي

allahumma anta rabbi

O Allah, You are my Lord;

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

la ilaha illa anta

there is no god save You;

خَلَقْتَني وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَٱبْنُ أَمَتِكَ

khalaqtani wa ana ʿabduka wabnu amatika

You have created me, and I am Your slave and the son of Your bondmaid;

وَفي قَبْضَتِكَ وَنَاصِيَتي بِيَدِكَ

wa fi qabdatika wa nasiyati biyadika

and I am in Your grip; and my forehead is in Your Hand;

أَمْسَيْتُ عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُ

amsaytu ʿala ʿahdika wa waʿdika ma istataʿtu

I come to observe my covenant and promise to You as much as I can.

أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ

aʿudhu biridaka min sharri ma sanaʿtu

I take refuge in Your pleasure against the evil of my deeds.

أَبُوءُ بِنِعْمَتِكَ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي

abu'u biniʿmatika wa abu'u bidhanbi

I acknowledge Your favors and confess of my sins.

فَٱغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي

faghfir li dhunubi

So, (please) forgive my sins,

إِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

innahu la yaghfiru aldhdhunuba illa anta

for none can forgive sins save You.

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah the All-compassionate, the All-merciful;

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَخْشَاكَ كَأَنِّي أَرَاكَ

O Allah make me Submissive,till I surrender to Thee,

وَأَسْعِدْنِي بِتَقَواكَ وَلا تُشْقِني بِمعَاصيكَ

make me happy by putting "fear of God" in my heart,do not make me miserable on account of disobedience unto Thee.

وَخِرْ لِي فِي قَضَائِكَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي قَدَرِكَ

Write (prescribe) for me freedom from pain, trouble and anxiety,make ready for me blessings and happiness,

حَتَّى لاَ أُحِبَّ تَعْجِيلَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ وَلاَ تَأَخِيرَ مَا عَجّلْتَ

so that I do not like what You delay to come in advance,or what You make happen quickly to be delayed.

وَاجْعَلْ غِنَايَ فِي نَفْسِي

Give me contentment and an independent disposition.

وَمَتِّعْنِي بِسَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الوَارِثِينَ مِنِّي

Make me derive advantage from the power of hearing (I listen to and accept advise and obey) and seeing (discernment,intelligence, and perception of truth);and both of them to my inheritors

وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي وَأَرِنِي فِيِهِ قُدْرَتَكَ

Give me an upper hand over him who intimidates me, and treat me well through Thy might and power,

يَا رَبِّ وَأَقْرِرْ بِذَلِكَ عَيْنِيَ

o Lord,and keep me in that exact state.

اَللّهُمَّ أَعِنِّيْ عَلَى هَوْلِ يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ

o Allah! Attend to and, take care of me in the frightening hour of the Day of Judgement.

وَأَخْرِجْنِي مِنَ الدُّنْيا سَالِمَاً وَأَدْخِلْنِي الْجَنَّةَ آمِنَاً

Make me leave this world in safe and sound condition,and enter the permanent land of bliss and beauty (Paradise)in peace and tranquillity;

وَزَوِّجْنِي مِنَ الْحُوُرِ الْعِينِ

and houries as mates

وَاكفِنِي مُؤُنَتِي ومُؤنَةَ عِيالِي وَمُؤُنَةَ النَّاسِ

multiply provisions alloted to me, and to my dependents, also promote welfare of the people and make me sit,through Thy mercy, in the company of Thy upright servants.

وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

and join the delightful charming people who have refined manners, intellegent minds and beautiful faces,.

اَللّهُمَّ إِنْ تُعَذِّبْنِي فَأَهْلٌ لِذَلكَ

O Allah! If penalised (it means) I deserved punishment;

أَنَا وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لِي فَأَهْلٌ لِذَلِكَ

if forgiven (it is because) Thou art (the Most Merciful) Master. How would Thou punish?

أَنْتَ وَكَيْفَ تُعَذِّبْنِي يَا سَيِّدِي وَحُبُّكَ فِي قَلْبِي أَمَا

My Master! My heart is full of Thy love,undoubtedly,and Thy absolute authority,

وَعِزَّتِكِ لَئِنْ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ بِي

very 'kindly, take notice of that,and keep, us together with people who are given respite.

لَتَجْمَعَنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ قَوْمٍ طَالَمَا عَادَيْتَهُم فِيكَ

How much less attention they may pay to ' Thy commands!

اَللّهُمَّ بِحَقِ أَوْلِيائِكَ الطَّاهِرِينَ عَلَيْهُمُ السَّلامُ

O Allah ! For the sake of Thy pure and pious friends, peace be upon them,

وَارْزُقْنَا صِدْقَ الحَدِيثِ

make us preserve true traditions of the Holy Prophet (saws).

وَأَدَاءَ الأَمَانَةِ وَالْمُحَافَظَةَ عَلَى الصَّلَواتِ

Return the possessions,to keep safe and watch over the Salat (adoration and worship of Allaah)

اَللّهُمَّ أَنَا أَحَقُّ خَلْقِكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِنَا

O Allah! truely, we are the worthiest among Thy creation,treat us in that context.

اَللّهُمَّ افْعَلْهُ بِنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ

O Allah treat us mercifulIy.

اَللّهُمَّ ارْفَعْنِي إِلَيْكَ صَاعِدَاً

O Allah! . Make my knowledge about Thee of the highest quality.

وَلاَ تُطْمِعَنَّ فِيَّ عَدُوَّاً وَلا حَاسِداًوَاحْفَظْنِي قَائِمَاً وَقَاعِدَاً وَيَقْظَانَ وَرَاقِدَاً

Do not let me drown myself in hatred,nor feel resentfuI;keep me steadfast, within bounds, obedient,enduring.

اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَاهْدِنِي سَبِيلَكَ الأقْوَمَ

O Allah forgive me,have mercy on me,make me strive in Thy honesty,

وَقِنِي حَرَّ جَهَنَّمَ وَحَرِيِقَهَا

free me from the of burning Hell,from being consumed by the blazing fire,

الْمُضْرَمَ وَاحْطُطُ عَنِّي الْمُغْرَمَ وَالْمَأْثَمَ

make less what I have to pay back,and the punishment deserved

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ خِيارِ العَالَمِ

,make me be one of the choicest people for all times.

اَللّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي مِمَّا لا طَاقَةَ لِي بِهِ وَلا صَبْرَ لِي عَلَيْهِ بِرَحْمَتِك يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

o Allah' ' have mercy on me because I have not the strength,nor patience to withstand it (punishment) ,through Thy mercy,O the Most Merciful.

Weekly Dua for Night

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا كُنْتَ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ قَبْلَكَ شَيْءٌ

O, Allah, our Lord, You were, and nothing was there before You,

وَ أَنْتَ تَكُونُ حِينَ لَا يَكُونُ غَيْرَكَ شَيْءٌ

and You will exist when there is nothing except You.

لَا يَعْلَمُ أَحَدٌ كُنْهَ عِزَّتِكَ وَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَنْعَتَ عَظَمَتَكَ

No one knows Your mightiness essence nor describes Your greatness,

وَ لَا يَعْلَمُ أَحَدٌ أَيْنَ مُسَتَقَرُّكَ

no one knows where is Your dwelling place;

أَنْتَ فَوْقَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَ أَنْتَ وَرَاءَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

You are above everything, behind everything,

وَ أَمَامَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَ مَعَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

in front of everything, and with everything.

خَلَقْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

You created, O Possessor of majesty and munificence;

الْعِزَّةَ لِوَجْهِكَ وَ أَخْلَصْتَ الْكِبْرِيَاءَ

glorification for Your Face purified the pride

وَ الْعَظَمَةَ لِنَفْسِكَ وَ خَلَقْتَ الْقُوَّةَ

and greatness of Your being and created the power

وَ الْقُدْرَةَ لِسُلْطَانِكَ فَ

and competence of Your authority!

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى عَظَمَةِ مُلْكِكَ وَ جَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ

So, Glory be to You, our God, and to you be the Praise upon the greatness of Your kingdom and Your Honorable Face;

الَّذِي مَلَأَ نُورُهُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

whose light-filled everything,

وَ هُوَ حَيْثُ لَا يَرَاهُ شَيْءٌ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ

and He is where nothing can witness Him; glorified is Him with His Praise

فَ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ بِحَمْدِكَ

so, Glory and Praise be to You!

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

O God, our Lord to You belongs Praise;

تَسَلَّطْتَ فَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْعِبَادِ يَحُدُّ وَصْفَكَ

You ruled over the servants so no one will limit Your description.

تَسَلَّطْتَ بِعِزَّتِكَ وَ تَعَزَّزْتَ بِجَبَرُوتِكَ

You ruled with Your mightiness; You braced Yourself with Your omnipotence,

وَ تَجَبَّرْتَ بِكِبْرِيَائِكَ وَ تَكَبَّرْتَ بِمُلْكِكَ

You compelled with your pride, and You magnified with Your possessions,

وَ تَمَلَّكْتَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَ قَدَرْتَ بِقُوَّتِكَ

You possessed with Your power, You got capable with Your power.

وَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْعِبَادِ وَصْفَكَ

No one among the servants can describe You,

وَ لَا يَقْدِرُ أَحَدٌ قَدْرَكَ

and no one can evaluate Your value,

وَ لَا يَسْبِقُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ قَضَائِكَ

nor can anyone go beyond Your decree.

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

O God, our Lord to You belongs Praise;

عَلَى جَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَ عَظَمَةِ مُلْكِكَ

upon Your majestic face and the greatness of Your possessions;

الَّذِي بِهِ قَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ

through which the heavens and earth endure.

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord; to You belongs Praise.

مَلَأْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَظَمَةً

You filled everything with greatness,

وَ خَلَقْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِقُدْرَةٍ

and You created everything with power;

وَ أَحَطْتَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْماً

You encompass all things with knowledge,

وَ أَحْصَيْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عَدَداً

count everything in numbers,

وَ حَفِظْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ كِتَاباً

save everything in a record,

وَ وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَحْمَةً وَ عِلْماً

and embracest everything in mercy and knowledge;

وَ أَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

indeed, You are Most Merciful of the merciful!

فَ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى عِزَّةِ سُلْطَانِكَ

Glory be to You, our God, and to you be the Praise upon Your glorified authority;

الَّذِي خَشَعَ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

which everything humbled to, from Your creation

وَ أَشْفَقَ مِنْهُ كُلُّ عِبَادِكَ

and all Your servants got cautious of,

وَ خَضَعَتْ لَهُ كُلُّ خَلِيقَتِكَ

all Your creations are submitted to it.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammed;

وَ اجْزِهِ أَفْضَلَ الْجَزَاءِ وَ أَفْضَلَ

repay him with the best reward, and with the best reward,

مَا أَنْتَ جَازٍ أَحَداً مِنْ أَنْبِيَائِكَ عَلَى حِفْظِهِ دِينَكَ وَ إِبْلَاغِهِ وَ اتِّبَاعِهِ وَصِيَّتَكَ

You ever granted to anyone of Your Prophets as he; safeguards Your religion and informs it, following Your will and command.

وَ أَمْرَكَ حَتَّى تُشَرِّفَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِتَفْضِيلِكَ إِيَّاهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ رُسُلِكَ

Until You honor him with Your preferring upon all Your Messengers on the Day of Resurrection;

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

O Possessor of majesty and munificence!

اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا اسْتَنْقَذْتَنَا بِمَا انْتَجَبْتَ

O, Allah, just as You have rescued us through what You distinguished;

مُحَمَّداً صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

Muhammed, blessings of Allah be upon him, and his Household

وَ هَدَيْتَنَا بِمَا بَعَثْتَهُ

and have guided us through what You sent,

وَ بَصَّرْتَنَا بِمَا أَوْصَيْتَهُ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ

and have shown us through what deeds you command.

فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ

Therefore, send Your blessings upon him and his Household,

وَ اجْزِهِ عَنَّا أَفْضَلَ الْجَزَاءِ

and repay him the best reward on our behalf.

وَ أَفْضَلَ مَا جَازَيْتَ نَبِيّاً مِنْ أَنْبِيَائِكَ وَ رُسُلِكَ

Best reward; You ever granted to any of Your Prophets and Messengers,

وَ أَنْ تَجْمَعَ لِي بِهِ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ

and please grant me the best of this world and Hereafter.

إِنَّكَ ذُو فَضْلٍ كَرِيمٍ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَام

You are Possessor of generous bounty; O Possessor of majesty and munificence!

Nafila App 1- Thursday Night Duas - Allhumma Anta awalo-

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismillāh ir-Rahmān ir-Rahīm

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

اَللّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الأَوَّلُ فَلا شَيْءَ قَبْلَكَ

Allāhumma anta al-awwalu fā lā shay’ qablak

O Allah, You are the First, and nothing is before You

وَأَنْتَ الآخِرُ الَّذي لاَ يَهْلَكُ

Wa anta al-ākhiru alladhī lā yahlik

And You are the Last, and nothing will outlast You

وَأَنْتَ الحيُّ الَّذي لا يَمُوتُ

Wa anta al-ḥayyū alladhī lā yamūt

And You are the Ever-Living, who never dies

وَالخَالِقُ الَّذي لا يَعْجِزُ

Wa al-Khāliqū alladhī lā ya'jiz

And You are the Creator, who is never incapable

وَأَنْتَ البَصِيرُ الَّذي لاَ يَرْتَابُ

Wa anta al-Baṣīr alladhī lā yartāb

And You are the All-Seeing, with no doubt

وَأَنْتَ الصَادِقُ الَّذي لاَ يَكْذِبُ

Wa anta as-Ṣādiq alladhī lā yakdhib

And You are the Truthful, who never lies

القَاهِرُ الَّذي لا يُغْلَبُ

Al-Qāhiru alladhī lā yugləb

The Subduer, who is never defeated

الْبَدِيءُ لا يَنْفَدُ

Al-Badī’ū lā yanfad

The Incomparable, whose works never come to an end

الْقَرِيبُ لاَ يَبْعُدُ

Al-Qarībū lā yab'ud

The Near, who never becomes distant

القَادِرُ لاَ يُضَامُ

Al-Qādīrū lā yuḍām

The Omnipotent, who is never wronged

الْغَافِرُ لاَ يُظْلَمُ

Al-Ghāfirū lā yuzlam

The Forgiver, who never wrongs

الصَّمَدُ لاَ يُطْعَمُ

As-Ṣamadū lā yuṭ’amu

The Eternal, who is not in need of sustenance

الْقَيَّومُ لاَ يَنْامُ

Al-Qayyūmū lā yanām

The Sustainer, who never sleeps

الْمُجِيبُ لاَ يَسْأَمُ

Al-Mujībū lā yas’am

The Responder, who never tires

الْحَنَّانُ لاَ يُرَامُ

Al-Ḥannānū lā yurām

The Most Compassionate, who cannot be sought in vain

الْعالِمُ لاَ يُعَلَّمُ

Al-‘Ālimū lā yu‘allam

The All-Knowing, who is not taught

القويُّ لاَ يَضْعُفْ

Al-Qawīyū lā yaḍ‘uf

The Strong, who is never weak

الْعَظِيمُ لاَ يُوصَفُ

Al-‘Aẓīmu lā yūṣaf

The Magnificent, who cannot be described fully

الْوَفِيُّ لاَ يُخْلِفُ

Al-Wafīyū lā yukhlif

The Faithful, who never betrays

الْعَدْلُ لاَ يَحِيفُ

Al-‘Adlū lā yaḥīf

The Just, who never wrongs

الْغَنِيُّ لاَ يَفْتَقِرُ

Al-Ghanīyū lā yaftaqir

The Self-Sufficient, who is never poor

الْكَبِيرُ لاَ يَصْغُرُ

Al-Kabīrū lā yaṣghur

The Great, who never diminishes

الْمَنِيعُ لاَ يُقْهَرُ

Al-Manī‘ū lā yuqhār

The Protector, who cannot be defeated

الْمَعْرُوفُ لاَ يُنْكَرُ

Al-Ma‘rūfū lā yunkar

The Benefactor, whose goodness is never denied

الْغَالِبُ لاَ يُغْلَبُ

Al-Ghālibū lā yugləb

The Victor, who is never defeated

الْوِتْرُ لاَ يَسْتَأَنِسُ

Al-Witrū lā yasta’nis

The Unique One, who is never dependent

الْفَرْدُ لاَ يَسْتَشِيرُ

Al-Fardū lā yastašīr

The One, who seeks no counsel

الْوَهَّابُ لاَ يَمَلُّ

Al-Wahhābū lā yamal

The Bestower, who never tires

الْجَوَادُ لاَ يَبْخَلُ

Al-Jawādū lā yabkhal

The Generous, who is never stingy

الْعَزِيزُ لاَ يَذِلُّ

Al-‘Azīzū lā yadhil

The Almighty, who is never humbled

الْحَافِظُ لاَ يَغْفَلُ

Al-Ḥāfiẓū lā yaghfal

The Preserver, who never forgets

الْقَائِمُ لاَ يَنْامُ

Al-Qā’imū lā yanām

The Ever-Sustaining, who never sleeps

الْمُحْتَجِبُ لاَ يُرى

Al-Muḥtajibū lā yurā

The Hidden One, who cannot be seen

الدَّائِمُ لاَ يَفْنَى

Ad-Dā’imū lā yafnā

The Everlasting, who never perishes

الْبَاقِي لاَ يَبْلَى

Al-Bāqīyū lā yablā

The Remaining, who never decays

الْمُقْتَدِرُ لاَ يُنَازَعُ

Al-Muqtadirū lā yunāza‘

The Omnipotent, who is never contested

الْوَاحِدُ لاَ يُشَبَّهُ

Al-Wāḥidū lā yushabbah

The One, who is not compared

لاَ إلهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ

Lā ilāha illā Anta

There is no god but You

الْحَقُّ الَّذي لا تُغَيِّرُكَ الأَزْمِنَةُ

Al-Ḥaqqū alladhī lā tughayyiruk al-azminah

The Truth, who is not altered by time

وَلاَ تُحِيطُ بِكَ الأَمْكِنَةُ

Wa lā tuḥīṭu bika al-amkīnatu

And whose presence is not contained by places

وَلاَ يأخُذُكَ نَوْمٌ وَلاَ سِنَةٌ

Wa lā ya’khudhuka nawmun wa lā sinah

And no sleep or drowsiness overtakes You

وَلاَ يَشْبَهُكَ شَيءٌ

Wa lā yashbihuka shay’

And nothing is comparable to You

وَكَيْفَ لاَ تَكُونُ كَذلِكَ

Wa kayfa lā takūnū kathālika

And how can it be otherwise

وَأَنْتَ خَالِقُ كُلَِّ شَيءٍ

Wa anta Khāliq kulli shay’

When You are the Creator of everything

لاَ إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ

Lā ilāha illā Anta

There is no god but You

كُلُّ شَيءٍ هَالِكٌ إلاّ وَجْهَكَ الْكَرِيمَ

Kullu shay’in hālikun illā wajhaka al-karīm

Everything perishes except Your Noble Face

أَكْرَمَ الْوُجُوهِ

Akram al-wujūh

The most honorable of faces

أمَانُ الْخَائِفِينَ وَجَارُ الْمُسْتَجِيرِينَ

Amān al-khā’ifīn wa jār al-mustajīrīn

The refuge for the fearful and the protector of those seeking shelter

أَسْأَلُكَ وَلاَ أَسْألُ غَيْرَكَ

As’alu-ka wa lā as’alu ghayrak

I ask You and not anyone else

وَأَرْغَبُ إليكَ وَلاَ أَرْغَبُ إلى غَيْرِكَ

Wa arghabu ilayka wa lā arghabu ilā ghayrik

And I turn to You with hope, not to anyone else

أَسْأَلُكَ بَأَفْضَلِ الْمَسَائِلِ كُلِّهِا

As’alu-ka bi-afḍal al-masā’il kullihā

I ask You with the best of all requests

وَأَنْجَحِها الَّتِي لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِلِعِبَادِ

Wa anjahihā allati lā yanbaghī lil-‘ibād

And I ask You for the most successful of them, which Your servants cannot ask except through You

أَنْ يَسْأَلُوكَ إلاَّ بِهَا

An yas’ālūka illā bihā

That they should not ask You except with it

أَنْتَ الْفَتَّاحُ الْنَّفَاحُ

Anta al-Fattāḥu an-Nafāḥu

You are the Opener, the Bestower

ذُو الْخَيْرَاتِ مُقِيلُ الْعَثَرَاتِ

Dhū al-Khayrāt muqīl al-‘atharāt

The Source of all goodness, the Remover of faults

كَاتِبُ الْحَسَنَاتِ مَاحِي الْسَيئاتِ

Kātib al-Ḥasanāt māḥī as-sayyī’āt

The Recorder of good deeds, the Eraser of sins

رَافِعُ الْدَرَجَاتِ

Rāfi‘u ad-Darajāt

The Exalter of ranks

أَسْأَلُكَ يَا أَللهُ يَا رَحْمَانُ

As’alu-ka yā Allāhū yā Raḥmān

I ask You, O Allah, O Most Merciful

بِأَسْمَائِكَ الحُسْنى كُلِّهِا

Bi-Asmā’ika al-Ḥusnā kullihā

By Your most beautiful names

وَكَلِمَاتِكَ الْعُليا وَنِعَمِكَ الَّتي لا تُحْصَى

Wa kalimātika al-‘uliyā wa ni‘amik allati lā tuḥṣā

And by Your highest words and Your blessings that cannot be counted

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بَأَكْرَمَ أَسْمَائِكَ عَلَيْكَ

Wa as’alu-ka bi-akram as-mā’ika ‘alayka

And I ask You with the most honored of Your names to You

وَأَحَبِّهَا إليكَ وَأَشْرَفِها عِنْدَكَ

Wa aḥabbihā ilayka wa ashrufihā ‘indaka

And with the most beloved and the most honored of them to You

مَنْزِلَةً وَأَقْرَبِهَا مِنْكَ وَسِيِلَةً

Manzilah wa aqrabihā minka wa wasīlah

In rank and the closest of them to You and the means to You

وَأَسْرَعِهَا مِنْكَ إِجَابَةً

Wa asra‘ihā minka ijābah

And the quickest of them to be answered by You

وَبِاسْمِكَ الْمَكْنِونِ الْمَخْزُونِ

Wa bismika al-maknūn al-makhzūn

And by Your hidden and guarded name

الْجَلِيلِ الأجلِ الْعَظِيمِ

Al-Jalīl al-Ajal al-‘Azīm

The Majestic, the Glorious, the Great

الَّذي تُحِبُّهُ وَتَرضَى عَمَّنْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ

Alladhī tuḥibbuhu wa tarḍā ‘amman da‘āka bihī

Whom You love and are pleased with those who call You by it

وَتَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ دُعَاءَهُ

Wa tastaʿību lahū du‘ā’ahu

And You answer their supplication

وَحَقٌّ عَلَيْكَ ألاّ تَحْرِمَ سَائِلَكَ

Wa ḥaqqun ‘alayka allā taḥrima sā’ilaka

And it is Your right that You never reject the one who asks

وَبُكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ فِي التَوْرَاةِ وَالإِنْجيلِ

Wa bi-kulli ismin huwa laka fi at-Tawrāt wa al-Injīl

And by every name that is Yours in the Torah and the Gospel

وَالزَّبُورِ وَالفُرْقَانِ الْعَظِيمِ

Wa az-Zabūr wa al-Furqān al-‘Aẓīm

And in the Psalms and the Qur'an, the great scripture

وَبِكُلِّ اسمٍ هُوَ لَكَ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَداً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

Wa bi-kulli ismin huwa laka ‘allamtahū aḥadan min khalqik

And by every name You have taught to anyone among Your creation

أَوْ لَمْ تُعَلِّمْهُ أَحَداً

Aw lam tu‘allim-hū aḥadān

Or kept it hidden from all creation

أَوْ اسْتَأثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيِبِ عِنْدَكَ

Aw ista’tharta bihī fi ‘ilm al-ghayb ‘indak

Or You have kept it for Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen

وَبِكُلِّ اسْمٍ دَعَاكَ بِهِ حَمَلَةُ عَرْشِكَ

Wa bi-kulli ismin da‘āk bihī ḥamalat ‘arshik

And by every name You are called by the bearers of Your Throne

وَمَلائِكَتُكَ وَأَصْفِياؤُكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

Wa malā’ikatuka wa aṣfiyā’uka min khalqik

And by Your angels and Your chosen ones among Your creation

وَبِحَقِّ الْسَائِلِينَ لَكَ وَالْرَاغِبِينَ إلَيْكَ

Wa bi-ḥaqq as-sā’ilīn laka wa ar-rāghibīn ilayk

And by the right of those who ask of You and those who yearn towards You

وَالْمُتَعَوِّذِينَ بِكَ وَالْمُتَضَرِّعِينَ إِلَيْكَ

Wa al-muta‘awidhīn bika wa al-mutaḍarri‘īn ilayk

And by those who seek refuge in You and those who humble themselves before You

أَدْعُوكَ يَا أَللهُ دُعَاءَ مَنْ قَدْ اشْتَدَّتْ فَاقَتُهُ

Ad’ūka yā Allāhū du‘ā’ man qad ishtaddat fāqatuhu

I call upon You, O Allah, as the one whose need has grown severe

وَعَظُمَ جُرْمُهُ وَأَشْرَفَ عَلى الهَلَكَةِ نَفْسُهُ

Wa ‘aẓuma jurmuhu wa ashrāfa ‘alā al-halakāti nafsuh

And whose sin has grown immense, and his soul is close to destruction

وَضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتُهُ وَمَنْ لاَ يَثِقُ بِشَيءٍ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ

Wa ḍa‘ufat quwwatuhu wa man lā yaṯiqu bishay’in min ‘amalih

And whose strength has weakened, and who trusts nothing of his deeds

وَلاَ يَجِدُ لِفَاقَتَهِ سَادَّاً غَيْرَكَ.

Wa laa yajidu lifaaqatihi saaddan ghayrak.

And he finds no reliever for his need but You.

فَقَدْ هَرَبتُ مِنْها إِلَيْكَ.

Faqad harabtu minhaa ilayk.

I have fled from it to You.

غيرَ مُستنكِفٍ وَلاَ مُسْتَكبِرٍ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ.

Ghayra mustankifin wa laa mustakbirin 'an 'ibaadatika.

Without reluctance or arrogance in worshiping You.

يَا أَنَسَ كُلِّ مُسْتَجِيرٍ.

Ya anasa kulli mustajeerin.

O comfort of every seeker of refuge.

يَا سَنَدَ كُلِّ فَقِيرٍ.

Ya sanada kulli faqeerin.

O support of every needy one.

أَسْأَلُكَ بَأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللهُ.

As'aluka bi'annaka anta Allah.

I ask You, as You are Allah.

الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ.

Al-Hannaan Al-Mannaan.

The Most Compassionate, the Most Generous.

لاَ إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ.

Laa ilaaha illa Ant.

There is no god but You.

بَديِعُ الْسَمَاواتِ وَالأَرْضِ.

Badee' as-Samawati wal-Ardh.

The Creator of the heavens and the earth.

ذُو الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرامِ.

Dhul-Jalaali wal-Ikraam.

The Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

عالِمُ الغيبِ وَالْشَهَادَةِ.

Aalimul-ghaybi wash-shahaadah.

The Knower of the unseen and the seen.

الْرَحْمنُ الْرَّحِيمُ.

Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem.

The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

أَنْتَ الْرَّبُّ وَأَنَا الْعَبْدُ.

Anta Ar-Rabb wa ana al-'abd.

You are the Lord, and I am the servant.

أَنْتَ الْمَالِكُ وَأَنَا الْمَمْلُوكُ.

Anta al-Malik wa ana al-mamlook.

You are the Master, and I am the owned.

أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ وَأَنَا الْذَلِيلُ.

Anta al-'Azeez wa ana al-dhaleel.

You are the Mighty, and I am the humble.

أَنْتَ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنَا الْفَقِيرُ.

Anta al-Ghaniyy wa ana al-faqeer.

You are the Rich, and I am the poor.

أَنْتَ الْحَيُّ وَأَنَا الْمَيِّتُ.

Anta al-Hayy wa ana al-mayyit.

You are the Ever-Living, and I am the dead.

أَنْتَ الْبَاقِي وَأَنَا الْفَانِي.

Anta al-Baqi wa ana al-faani.

You are the Eternal, and I am the perishing.

أَنْتَ الْمُحْسِنُ وَأَنَا الْمُسيءُ.

Anta al-Muhsin wa ana al-musee’.

You are the Benefactor, and I am the wrongdoer.

أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ وَأَنَا الْمُذْنِبُ.

Anta al-Ghafoor wa ana al-mudhnib.

You are the Forgiving, and I am the sinner.

أَنْتَ الرَّحِيْمُ وَأَنَا الْخَاطِئُ.

Anta ar-Raheem wa ana al-khaati’.

You are the Merciful, and I am the erring.

أَنْتَ الْخَالِقُ وَأَنَا الْمَخْلُوقُ.

Anta al-Khaliq wa ana al-makhlooq.

You are the Creator, and I am the created.

أَنْتَ الْقَوِيُّ وَأَنَا الضَّعِيْفُ.

Anta al-Qawiyy wa ana ad-dha’eef.

You are the Strong, and I am the weak.

أَنْتَ المُعْطِي وَأَنَا الْسَائِلُ.

Anta al-Mu’ti wa ana as-saa’il.

You are the Giver, and I am the beggar.

أَنْتَ الْرَازِقُ وَأَنَا الْمَرْزُوقُ.

Anta ar-Razzaq wa ana al-marzooq.

You are the Sustainer, and I am the sustained.

أَنْتَ أَحقُّ مَنْ شَكَوْتُ إلَيهِ.

Anta ahaqqu man shakawtu ilayh.

You are the most deserving of my complaints.

وَاسْتَعَنْتُ بِهِ وَرَجَوْتُهُ.

Wasta’antu bihi wa rajawtuhu.

I sought His help and placed my hope in Him.

إِلهي كَمْ مِنْ مُذْنِبٍ قَدْ غَفَرْتَ لَهُ.

Ilahi kam min mudhnib qad ghafarta lahu.

O my God, how many sinners You have forgiven.

وَكَمْ مِنْ مُسيءٍ قَدْ تَجَاوَزْتَ عَنْهُ.

Wa kam min musee’in qad tajawazta ‘anhu.

And how many wrongdoers You have overlooked.

فَصَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ.

Fasalli ‘ala Muhammad wa Aalihi.

So bless Muhammad and his family.

واغفِرْ لِي وَارحَمْنِي وَاعْفُ عَنِّي.

Waghfir li warhamni wa’fu ‘anni.

Forgive me, have mercy on me, and pardon me.

وَعَافِنِي وَافْتَحْ لِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ.

Wa ‘aafini waftah li min fadhlik.

Grant me well-being and open for me from Your bounty.

سُبُّوحٌ ذِكْرُكَ قُدُّوسُ أَمْرُكَ.

Subboohun dhikruk, Quddoosun amruk.

Holy is Your mention, Sacred is Your command.

نَافِذٌ قَضَاؤُكَ.

Naafidhun qadhaa’uk.

Your decree is final.

يَسِّرْ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا أَخَافُ عُسْرَهُ.

Yassir li min amri ma akhaafu ‘usrahu.

Ease for me the matters I fear difficulty in.

وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّي وَعَنْ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ.

Wa farraj ‘anni wa ‘an kulli mu’minin wa mu’minah.

And relieve me and every believing man and woman.

وَاكِفِنِي مَا أَخَافُ ضَرُورَتُهُ.

Wakifini ma akhaafu dharuratuh.

And suffice me from what I fear of necessity.

وَادْرَأْ عَنِّي مَا أَخَافُ حُزُونَتَهُ.

Wadra’ ‘anni ma akhaafu huzoonatahu.

And avert from me what I fear of sorrow.

وَسَهِّلْ لِي وَلِكُلِّ مُؤمِنٍ مَا أَرْجُوهُ.

Wa sahhil li wa likulli mu’minin ma arjooh.

And make easy for me and every believer what I hope for.

لاَ إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ.

Laa ilaaha illa Ant.

There is no god but YOU

سُبْحَانَكَ إنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَالمِين

subḥānaka innī kuntu mina ẓ-ẓālmīn.

Glory be to You I have been an opressor to myself

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

BismillāhirRaḥmānirRaḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

اَللّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدكَ.

Allāhumma innī as’aluka raḥmatan min ‘indik.

O Allah, I ask You for mercy from You.

تَهْدِي بِهَا قَلْبِي، وَتَجْمَعُ بِهَا أَمْرِي.

Tahdī bihā qalbī, wa tajma‘u bihā amrī.

That guides my heart and unites my affairs.

وَتَلُّمُ بِهَا شَعَثِي، وَتَحْفَظُ بِهَا غَائِبِي.

Wa tallummu bihā sha‘athī, wa taḥfaẓu bihā ghā’ibī.

That mends my brokenness and protects what is absent of mine.

وَتُصْلِحُ بِهَا شَاهِدِي، وَتَزَكِّي بِهَا عَمَلِي.

Wa tuṣliḥu bihā shāhidī, wa tuzakkī bihā ‘amalī.

That rectifies my present state and purifies my deeds.

وَتُلْهِمُنِي بِهَا رُشْدِي، وَتَعْصِمُنِي بِهَا مِنْ كُلِّ سُوْءٍ.

Wa tulhimunī bihā rushdī, wa ta‘ṣimunī bihā min kulli sū’.

That inspires my guidance and protects me from all evil.

اَللّهُمَّ أَعْطِنِي إيمَانَاً صَادِقَاً، وَيَقِيناً خَالِصَاً.

Allāhumma a‘ṭinī īmānan ṣādiqan, wa yaqīnan khāliṣan.

O Allah, grant me true faith and pure certainty.

وَرَحْمَةً أَنَالُ بِهَا شَرَفَ كَرَامَتِكَ.

Wa raḥmatan anālu bihā sharafa karāmatika.

And mercy through which I attain the honor of Your grace.

فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.

Fi ddunyā wa lākhirah.

In this world and the Hereafter.

اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْفَوْزَ فِي الْقَضَاءِ.

Allāhumma innī as’aluka lfawza fi lqaḍā’.

O Allah, I ask You for success in judgment.

وَمَنَازِلَ الْعُلَمَاءِ، وَعَيْشَ الْسُّعَدَاءِ.

Wa manāzila l‘ulamā’, wa ‘aysha ssa‘adā’.

And the ranks of the scholars, and the life of the joyful.

وَالْنَّصْرَ عَلَى الأَعْدَاءِ.

Wa nnaṣra ‘alā la‘dā’.

And victory over the enemies.

اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَنْزَلْتُ بِكَ حَاجَتِي.

Allāhumma innī anzaltu bika ḥājātī.

O Allah, I have placed my need before You.

وَإِنْ ضَعُفَ عَمَلِي فَقَدْ افْتَقَرْتُ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ.

Wa in ḍa‘ufa ‘amalī faqad iftaqartu ilā raḥmatika.

And though my deeds are weak, I am in need of Your mercy.

فَأَسْأَلُكَ يَا قَاضِي الأُمُورِ، وَيَا شَافِي الصُّدُورِ.

Fa as’aluka yā Qāḍī lUmūr, wa yā Shāfī ṣṢudūr.

So I ask You, O Arbiter of matters, and Healer of hearts.

كَمَا تُجيرُ بَيْنَ الْبُحُورِ، أَنْ تُجِيرَنِي.

Kamā tujīru bayna lbuḥūr, an tujīranī.

As You reconcile between the seas, to grant me safety.

مِنْ عَذَابِ الْسَعِيرِ، وَمِنْ دَعْوَةِ الْثُّبُورِ.

Min ‘adhābi sSa‘īr, wa min da‘wati tThubūr.

From the torment of Hellfire and the call of despair.

وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقُبُورِ.

Wa min fitnati lqubūr.

And from the trial of the graves.

اَللّهُمَّ وَمَا قَصُرَتْ عَنْهُ مَسْأَلَتِي.

Allāhumma wa mā qaṣurat ‘anhu mas’alatī.

O Allah, whatever is beyond my asking,

وَلَمْ تَبْلَغْهُ نِيَّتِي، وَلَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ مَسْأَلَتِي.

Wa lam tablughhu niyyatī, wa lam tuḥiṭ bihī mas’alatī.

And my intention could not encompass, nor my request comprehend,

مِنْ خَيْرٍ وَعَدْتَهُ أَحَدَاً مِنْ خَلْقِكَ.

Min khayrin wa‘adtahu aḥadan min khalqika.

Of the good You promised to any of Your creation,

فَإِنِّي أَرْغَبُ إِلَيْكَ فِيهِ.

Fa innī arghabu ilayka fīhi.

Indeed, I turn to You in earnest for it.

اَللّهُمَّ يَا ذَا الْحَبْلِ الَّشدِيدِ، وَالأَمْرِ الرَّشِيدِ.

Allāhumma yā Dhā lḥabli shshadīd, wa lamri rrashīd.

O Allah, O Possessor of firm resolve and wise command!

أَسْأَلُكَ الأَمْنَ يَوْمَ الْوَعِيدِ.

As’aluka lamna yawma lwa‘īd.

I ask You for safety on the Day of Judgment,

وَالْجَنَّةَ يَوْمَ الْخُلُودِ.

Wa ljannata yawma lkhulūd.

And Paradise on the Day of Eternity,

مَعَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ الشُّهُودِ.

Ma‘a lmuqarrabīna shshuhūd.

With the near ones who are witnesses.

وَالْرُّكَّعِ وَالسُّجُودِ، الْمُوفِينَ بِالْعُهُودِ.

Wa rrukka‘ wa ssujūd, almūfīna bi l‘uhūd.

And those who bow and prostrate, fulfilling their pledges.

إِنَّكَ رَحِيمٌ وَدُوُدٌ.

Innaka Raḥīmun Wadūd.

Indeed, You are Merciful and Loving.

وَإِنَّكَ تَفْعَلُ مَا تُريدُ.

Wa innaka taf‘alu mā turīd.

And You do whatever You will.

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا هَادّينَ مَهْدِيّينَ.

Allāhumma aj‘alnā hāddīna mahdiyyīn.

O Allah, make us guides who are rightly guided,

غَيْرَ ضَالِّينَ، وَلاَ مُضِلِّينَ.

Ghayra ḍāllīn, wa lā muḍillīn.

Neither astray nor leading others astray.

سِلْمَاً لأَوْلِيائِكَ، وَحَرْبَاً لأَعْدَائِكَ.

Silman liawliyā’ika, wa ḥarban lia‘dā’ika.

At peace with Your allies and at war with Your enemies.

نُحِبُّ بِحُبِّكَ الْتَائِبِينَ.

Nuḥibbu biḥubbika ttā’ibīn.

We love those who repent, out of love for You,

وَنُعَادِي بِعَدَاوَتِكَ مَنْ خَالَفَكَ.

Wa nu‘ādī bi‘adāwatika man khālafaka.

And oppose those who oppose You.

اَللّهُمَّ هذَا الدُّعَاءُ، وَعَلَيكَ الاسْتِجَابَةُ.

Allāhumma hādhā ddu‘ā’u, wa ‘alayka listijābah.

O Allah, this is the supplication, and it is upon You to respond.

وَهذَا الجُهْدُ، وَعَلَيْكَ التُّكْلاَنُ.

Wa hādhā ljuhdu, wa ‘alayka ttuklān.

And this is the effort, and upon You is the reliance.

اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي نُورَاً فِي قَلْبِي.

Allāhumma aj‘al lī nūran fī qalbī.

O Allah, make for me light in my heart,

وَنُورَاً فِي قَبْرِي، وَنُورَاً بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ.

Wa nūran fī qabri, wa nūran bayna yadayya.

And light in my grave, and light before me,

وَنُورَاً تَحْتِي، وَنُورَاً فَوْقِي.

Wa nūran taḥtī, wa nūran fawqī.

And light beneath me, and light above me,

وَنُورَاً فِي سَمْعِي، وَنُورَاً فِي بَصَرِي.

Wa nūran fī sam‘ī, wa nūran fī baṣarī.

And light in my hearing, and light in my sight,

وَنُورَاً فِي شَعْرِي، وَنُورَاً فِي بَشَرِي.

Wa nūran fī sha‘rī, wa nūran fī basharī.

And light in my hair, and light in my skin,

وَنُورَاً فِي لَحْمِي، وَنُورَاً فِي عِظَامِي.

Wa nūran fī laḥmī, wa nūran fī ‘iẓāmī.

And light in my flesh, and light in my bones.

اَللّهُمَّ أَعْظِمْ لِي النُّورَ.

Allāhumma a‘ẓim lī nnūr.

O Allah, magnify the light for me.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذي اِرْتَدى بِالعِزِّ وَبَانَ بِهِ.

Subḥāna lladhī irtadā bil‘izz wa bāna bih.

Glory be to Him who is cloaked in might and manifests through it.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذي لَبِسَ الْمَجْدَ وَتَكَرَّمَ بِهِ.

Subḥāna lladhī labisa lmajd wa takarrama bih.

Glory be to Him who adorns majesty and ennobles through it.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لا يَنْبَغِي التَّسْبيحُ إلاّ لَهُ.

Subḥāna man lā yanbaghī ttasbīḥ illā lah.

Glory be to Him to whom no glorification is due but His.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْفَضْلِ وَالنِّعَمِ.

Subḥāna Dhī lfaḍli wa nni‘am.

Glory be to the Possessor of bounty and blessings.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْمَجْدِ وَالْكَرَمِ.

Subḥāna Dhī lmajdi wa lkaram.

Glory be to the Possessor of glory and generosity.

سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ.

Subḥāna Dhī ljalāli wa likrām.

Glory be to the Possessor of majesty and honor.

Before Fajr

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وآلِهِ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa alihi

O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and his Household,

وَهَبْ لِيَ ٱلْغَدَاةَ رِضَاكَ

wa hab liya alghadata ridaka

grant me Your satisfaction this very early morning,

وَأَسْكِنْ قَلْبِي خَوْفَكَ

wa askin qalbi khawfaka

place fear of You in my heart,

وَٱقْطَعْهُ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

waqtaʿhu ʿamman siwaka

and separate it from (leaning to) anyone other than You,

حَتَّىٰ لاَ أَرْجُوَ وَلاَ أَخَافَ إِلاَّ إِيَّاكَ

hatta la arjwa wa la akhafa illa iyyaka

so that I will hope for and fear none save You.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وآلِهِ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa alihi

O Allah, send blessings to Muhammad and his Household

وَهَبْ لِي ثَبَاتَ ٱلْيَقينِ

wa hab li thabata alyaqini

and grant me resolute faith,

وَمَحْضَ ٱلإِخْلاَصِ

wa mahda al-ikhlasi

pure sincerity (to You),

وَشَرَفَ ٱلتَّوْحيدِ

wa sharafa alttawhidi

honorable belief in (Your) oneness,

وَدَوَامَ ٱلاِسْتِقَامَةِ

wa dawama al-istiqamati

persistent straightness,

وَمَعْدِنَ ٱلصِّبْرِ

wa maʿdina alssabri

essential tolerance,

وَٱلرِّضَا بِٱلْقَضَاءِ وَٱلْقَدَرِ

walrrida bilqada'i walqadari

and satisfaction with (Your) predetermination and decrees.

يَا قَاضِيَ حَوَائِجِ ٱلسَّائِلينَ

ya qadiya hawa'iji alssa'ilina

O He Who settles the needs of His beseechers;

يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي ضَمِيرِ ٱلصَّامِتِينَ

ya man yaʿlamu ma fi damiri alssamitina

O He Who knows what is in the innermost of the silent;

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وآلِهِ

salli ʿala muhammadin wa alihi

send blessings to Muhammad and his Household,

وَٱسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِي

wastajib duʿa'i

respond to my prayers,

وَٱغْفِرْ ذَنْبِي

waghfir dhanbi

forgive my sins,

وَأَوْسِعْ رِزْقِي

wa awsiʿ rizqi

expand my means of livelihood,

وَٱقْضِ حَوَائِجِي فِي نَفْسِي

waqdi hawa'iji fi nafsi

and settle the needs of myself

وَإِخْوَانِي فِي دِينِي وَأَهْلِي

wa ikhwani fi dini wa ahli

and my brethren-in-faith and my family members.

إِلٰهِي طُمُوحُ ٱلآمَالِ قَدْ خَابَتْ إِلاَّ لَدَيْكَ

ilahi tumuhu al-amali qad khabat illa ladayka

O Allah, all ambitions of expectations are disappointed except those addressed to You,

وَمَعَاكِفُ ٱلْهِمَمِ قَدْ تَعَطَّلَتْ إِلاَّ عَلَيْكَ

wa maʿakifu alhimami qad taʿattalat illa ʿalayka

all resolute determinations are paralyzed except those relied upon You,

وَمَذَاهِبُ ٱلْعُقُولِ قَدْ سَمَتْ إِلاَّ إِلَيْكَ

wa madhahibu alʿuquli qad samat illa ilayka

and all reason-based tendencies are wasted except those directed to You.

فَأَنْتَ الَّرجَاءُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمُلْتَجَأُ

fa-anta alrraja'u wa ilayka almultaja'u

So, You are the ultimate hope and to You is the resort.

يَا أَكْرَمَ مَقْصُودٍ وَأَجْوَدَ مَسْؤُولٍ

ya akrama maqsudin wa ajwada mas'ulin

O He Who is the noblest objective and the most magnanimous desired,

هَرَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَفْسِي

harabtu ilayka binafsi

I am fleeing to You from myself.

يَا مَلْجَأَ ٱلْهَارِبِينَ بِأَثْقَالِ ٱلذُّنُوبِ

ya malja'a alharibina bi-athqali aldhdhunubi

O shelter of those who flee overburdened with the heavy loads of sins,

أَحْمِلُهَا عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِي

ahmiluha ʿala zahri

carrying my sins on my back,

لاَ أَجِدُ لِي إِلَيْكَ شَافِعاً

la ajidu li ilayka shafiʿan

I cannot find any interceder for me

سِوَىٰ مَعْرِفَتِي بِأَنَّكَ أَقْرَبُ مَنْ رَجَاهُ ٱلطَّالِبُونَ

siwa maʿrifati bi'annaka aqrabu man rajahu alttalibuna

except that I know for sure that You are the nearest of all those who are hoped by beseechers

وَأَمَّلَ مَا لَدَيْهِ ٱلرَّاغِبُونَ

wa ammala ma ladayhi alrraghibuna

and of all those whose donations are expected by the desirous.

يَا مَنْ فَتَقَ ٱلْعُقُولَ بِمَعْرِفَتِهِ

ya man fataqa alʿuqula bimaʿrifatihi

O He Who has split the intellects on the recognition of Him,

وَأَطْلَقَ ٱلأَلْسُنَ بِحَمْدِهِ

wa atlaqa al-alsuna bihamdihi

made tongues articulate with the praising of Him

وَجَعَلَ مَا ٱمْتَنَّ بِهِ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ فِي كِفَاءٍ لِتَاْدِيَةِ حَقِّهِ

wa jaʿala ma imtanna bihi ʿala ʿibadihi fi kifa'in lita'diyati haqqhi

and made that which He has conferred upon His servants enough means for the fulfillment of their duties towards Him;

صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وآلِهِ

salli ʿala muhammadin wa alihi

(please) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household,

وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ لِلشَّيْطَانِ عَلَىٰ عَقْلِي سَبيلاًَ

wa la tajʿal lilshshaytani ʿala ʿaqli sabilan

do not give Satan any way (of success) over my reason,

وَلاَ لِلْبَاطِلِ عَلَىٰ عَمَلِي دَلِيلاً

wa la lilbatili ʿala ʿamali dalilan

and do not give wrongness a way to reach my deeds.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ

astaghfiru allaha alladhi la ilaha illa huwa

I pray the forgiveness of Allah save Whom there is no god;

ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

alhayyu alqayyumu wa atubu ilayhi

the Ever-living and Ever-subsisting,and I turn in repentance to Him

أَصْبَحْتُ فِي ذِمَّةِ ٱللَّهِ

asbahtu fi dhimmati allahi

I begin this morning seeking the protection of Allah,

وَذِمَّةِ مَلاَئِكَتِهِ

wa dhimmati mala'ikatihi

the protection of His angels,

وَذِمَمِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ عَلَيهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa dhimami anbiya'ihi wa rusulihi ʿalayhimu alssalamu

the protections of His prophets and messengers, peace be upon them,

وَذِمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

wa dhimmati muhammadin salla allahu ʿalayhi wa alihi

the protection of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,

وَذِمَمِ ٱلأَوْصِيَاءِ مِنَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wa dhimami al-awsiya'i min ali muhammadin ʿalayhimu alssalamu

and the protections of the Successors from Muhammad's progeny, peace be upon them.

آمَنْتُ بِسِرِّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ وَعَلاَنِيَتِهِمْ

amantu bisirri ali muhammadin ʿalayhimu alssalamu wa ʿalaniyatihim

I believe in the secrets of Muhammad's progeny, peace be upon them, and in their open affairs

وَظَاهِرِهِمْ وَبَاطِنِهِمْ

wa zahirihim wa batinihim

and in their exoteric and their esoteric affairs.

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُمْ فِي عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَطَاعَتِهِ

wa ash-hadu annahum fi ʿilmi allahi wa taʿatihi

I bear witness that they, as regarding their knowledge of Allah and their obedience to Him,

كَمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ

ka-muhammadin salla allahu ʿalayhi wa alihi

are just like Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household.

Surah's (Chapters) to be Recited on the Night Preceeding Friday — Salaats for the Night Preceeding Friday — It is worth mentioning that it is highly recommended to offer many (supererogatory) prayers at Friday nights such as; — Imam `Ali's Prayer, known as(Salat Amir al-Mu'minin) — Atwo-unit prayerin each of which after Sura Hamd, recite Sura Tawheed 70 times. Upon completion of the prayer say 'Astaghfirullah' 70 times. — It has been reported from the Holy Prophet, 'If one recites ( — Asix-unit prayerin each of which after Surah Hamd recite Ayatul Kursi and Surah Kafiroon once each and Surah Tawheed thrice. After the prayers, recite Ayatul Kursi three times. For one who recites this prayer the Almighty Allah appoints an angel to purify his sins who purifies his sins and in their place writes good fortune and bestows him whatever he desires. — Prayer of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) on Night of Friday

إيّاك نعبد وإيّاك نستعين

سبحان ربّى العظيم و بحمده

سبحان ربّى الاعلى و بحمده

اللَّهُمَّ إنْ أطَعْتُكَ فَالَمحْمَدَةُ لَكَ وَإنْ عَصَيْتُكَ فَالحُجَّةُ لَكَ مِنْكَ الرّوحُ وَمِنْكَ الفَرَجُسُبْحانَ مَنْ أنْعَمَ وَشَكَرَ سُبْحانَ مَنْ قَدَرَ وَغَفَرَ. اللَّهُمَّ إنْ كُنْتُ عَصَيْتُكَ فَإنّي قَدْ أطَعْتُكَ في أحَبِّ الاشْياءِإلَيكَ وَهوَ الايمانُ بِكَ، لَمْ أتَّخِذْ لَكَ وَلَداً وَلَمْ أدْعُ لَكَ شَريكا مَنّا مِنْكَ بِهِ عَليّ لامنّا مِنّي بِهِ عَلَيْكَ، وَقَدْ عَصَيْتُكَ ياإلهي عَلى غَيْرِ وَجْهِ المُكابَرَةِ وَلا الخُروجَ عَنْ عُبودِيَّتِكَ وَلا الجُحودِ لِرِبوبيَّتِكَ،ولكِنْ أطَعْتُ هَوايَ وَأزَلَّني الشَّيْطانُ فَلَكَ الحُجَّةُ عَليّ وَالبَيانُ، فَإنْ تُعَذِبْني فَبِذنوبي غَيْرَ ظالِمٍ وَإنْ تَغْفِرْ لي وَتَرْحَمْنِي فَإنَّكَ جَوادٌ كَريمٌ.

ياكَريمُ ياكَريمُ

ياآمِنا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيٍ وَكُلُّ شَيٍ مِنْكَ خائِفٌ حَذِرٌ أسْأَلَكَ بِأمْنِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيٍ وَخَوفِ كُلِّ شَيٍ مِنْكَ أنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَأنْ تُعْطيَني أمانا لِنَفْسي وَأهْلي وَمالي وَوَلَدي حَتّى لاأخافَ أحَداً وَلاأحْذَرَ مِنْ شَيٍ أبَداً إنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيٍ قَديرٌ وَحَسْبُنا اللَّه وَنِعْمَ الوَكيلُ ياكافيَ إبْراهيمَ نَمْرودَ وَياكافيَ موسى فِرْعَوْنَ أَسْأَلُكَ أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآل مُحَمَّدٍ وَأنْ تَكْفيَني شَرَّ

Recite last 10 Verses of Sura Kahaf (18) on Thursday Nights before sleeping for salvation from the Dajjal

وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْكَافِرِينَ عَرْضًا ﴿١٠٠﴾الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءٍ عَن ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا ﴿١٠١﴾أَفَحَسِبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَن يَتَّخِذُوا عِبَادِي مِن دُونِي أَوْلِيَاءَ ۚ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نُزُلًا ﴿١٠٢﴾قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالًا﴿١٠٣﴾الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا ﴿١٠٤﴾ أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَائِهِ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنًا ﴿١٠٥﴾ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوًا ﴿١٠٦﴾إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا﴿١٠٧﴾خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًا ﴿١٠٨﴾ قُل لَّوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا ﴿١٠٩﴾قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا ﴿١١٠﴾

Recommended Salaats on Thursday Nights (Shab e Juma)s

أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّهَ

astaghfiru allaha

I implore for Allah's forgiveness.

(2)Repeats the following litany one hundred times:

سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

subhana allahiwalhamdu lillahi

All glory be to Allah all praise be to Allah;;

وَلاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ

wa la ilaha illa allahu wallahu akbaru

there is no god save Allah;Allah is the Greatest;

وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَلِيِّ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahi alʿaliyyi alʿazimi

and there is no power and no might save with Allah, the All-high, the All-Great.

(3)repeats the salwaat one hundred times:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

allahumma salli ʿala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
