23rd Night of ramadan

يَا رَبَّ لَيْلَةِ ٱلقَدْرِ

ya rabba laylati alqadri

O Lord of the Grand Night

وَجَاعِلَهَا خَيْراً مِنَ الْفِ شَهْرٍ

wa ja`ilaha khayran min alfi shahrin

Who decided it to be better than one thousand months!

وَرَبَّ ٱللَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ

wa rabba allayli walnnahari

O Lord of night, day,

وَٱلْجِبَالِ وَٱلبِحَارِ

waljibali walbihari

mountains, oceans,

وَٱلظُّلَمِ وَٱلانْوَارِ

wal¨¨ulami wal-anwari

darkness, light,

اللّهُمّ كُنْ لِوَلِيّكَ الحُجّةِ ابْنِ الحَسَنِ

Allahumma Kum le-waliyyekal Hujjatibnil Hassan

O Allah, be, for Your representative, the Hujjat (proof), son of Al­Hassan,

وَٱلارْضِ وَٱلسَّمَاءِ

wal-ardi walssama'i

the earth, and the heavens!

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى آبَائِهِ

Salwaatoka A'layhe wa a'laa Aaabaa-Ehi

Your blessings be on him and his forefathers,

يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ

ya bari'u ya musawwiru

O Maker! O Fashioner!

فِي هذِهِ السَّاعَةِ وَفي كُلّ سَاعَةٍ

fee haazehis saa-a'te wa fee kulle saa-a'tin

in this hour and in every hour,

يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ

ya hannanu ya mannanu

O All-tender! O All-favorer!

وَلِيّاً وَحَافِظاً

waliyyawn wa haafezawn

a guardian, a protector,

يَا اللَّهُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ

ya allahu ya rahmanu

O Allah! O All-beneficent!

وَقَائِداً وَنَاصِراً

wa qaa-edawn wa naaserawn

a leader, a helper,

يَا اللَّهُ يَا قَيُّومُ

ya allahu ya qayyumu

O Allah! O Self-Subsisting!

وَدَلِيلاً وَعَيْناً

wa daleelawn wa a'ynan

a proof, and an eye.

يَا اللَّهُ يَا بَدِيعُ

ya allahu ya badi`u

O Allah! O wonderful Originator!

حَتَّى تُسْكِنَهُ أَرْضَكَ طَوْعاً

hattaa tuskenahu arzaka taw-a'n

until You make him live on the earth, in obedience (to You),

يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ

ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu

O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!

وَتُمَتّعَهُ فِيهَا طَوِيلاً.

wa tomatte-a'hu feehaa taweelaa.

& Cause him to live in it for a long time

لَكَ ٱلاسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

laka al-asma'u alhusna

To You are the Most Excellent Names,

وَٱلامْثَالُ ٱلْعُلْيَا

wal-amthalu al`ulya

the most elevated examples,

اللَّهُمَّ ٱمْدُدْ لِي فِي عُمْرِي

allahumma imdud li fi `umri

O Allah, (please do) prolong my lifetime,

وَٱلْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَٱلآلاَءُ

walkibriya’u wal-ala'u

greatness, and bounties.

وَاوْسِعْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي

wa awsi` li fi rizqi

expand my sustenance,

اسْالُكَ انْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

as'aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَاصِحَّ لِي جِسْمِي

wa asihha li jismi

make my body healthy,

وَانْ تَجْعَلَ ٱسْمِي فِي هٰذِهِ ٱللَّيْلَةِ فِي ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ

wa an taj`ala ismi fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada'i

include my name with the list of the happiest ones,

وَبَلِّغْنِي امَلِي

wa ballighni amali

make me attain my hopes,

وَرُوحِي مَعَ ٱلشُّهَدَاءِ

wa ruhi ma`a alshshuhada'i

add my soul to the martyrs,

وَإِنْ كُنْتُ مِنَ ٱلاشْقِيَاءِ فَٱمْحُنِي مِنَ ٱلاشْقِيَاءِ

wa in kuntu min al-ashqya'i famhuni min al-ashqya'i

and if I am written with the unhappy ones, (please) erase my name from this list

وَإِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ

wa ihsani fi `illiyyina

record my good deeds in the most exalted rank,

وَٱكْتُبْنِي مِنَ ٱلسُّعَدَاءِ

waktubni min alssu`ada'i

write it with the happy ones,

وَإِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً

wa isa'ati maghfuratan

decide my offense to be forgiven,

فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ فِي كِتَابِكَ ٱلْمُنْزَلِ

fa'innaka qulta fi kitabika almunzali

for You have said in Your Book that You revealed

وَانْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيناً تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي

wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi

grant me certitude that fills in my heart

عَلَىٰ نَبِيِّكَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ:

`ala nabiyyika almursali salawatuka `alayhi wa alihi

to Your missioned Prophet, Your peace be upon him and his Household:

وَإِيـمَاناً يُذْهِبُ ٱلشَّكَّ عَنِّي

wa imanan yudhhibu alshshakka `anni

and faith that removes doubt from me,

”يَمْحُو ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ وَعِنْدَهُ امُّ ٱلْكِتَابِ“

yamhu allahu ma yasha'u wa yuthbitu wa `indahu ummu alkitabi

“Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the basis of the Book.”

وَتُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي

wa turdiyani bima qasamta li

make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me,

وَآتِنَا فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً

wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan

grant us reward in this world

اللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْ فِي مَا تَقْضِي وَفِي مَا تُقَدِّرُ

allahumma ij`al fima taqdi wa fima tuqaddiru

O Allah, among the matters that You decide and make

وَفِي ٱلآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً

wa fi al-akhirati hasanatan

and reward in the Hereafter,

مِنَ ٱلامْرِ ٱلْمَحْتُومِ

min al-amri almahtumi

from among the inevitable affairs

وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi

save us from the torment of the burning Fire,

وَفِي مَا تَفْرُقُ مِنَ ٱلامْرِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ

wa fima tafruqu min al-amri alhakimi

and from among the wise matters that You make distinct

وَٱرْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَٱلرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ

warzuqni fiha dhikraka wa shukraka walrraghbata ilayka

and confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, desiring for You,

فِي لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

fi laylati alqadri

at the Destiny Night

وَٱلإِنَابَةَ وَٱلتَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّداً وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّلاَمُ

wal-inabata walttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu

turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.

مِنَ ٱلْقَضَاءِ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُرَدُّ وَلاَ يُبَدَّلُ

min alqada'i alladhi la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu

from among the act that is neither rejected nor altered,

انْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْحَرَامِ

an taktubani min hujjaji baytika alharami

(please) decide me to be with the pilgrims to Your Holy House

فِي عَامِي هٰذَا

fi `ami hadha

at this year;

ٱلْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمُ

almabruri hajjuhum

those whose pilgrimage is admitted,

ٱلْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ

almashkuri sa`yuhum

whose efforts are praised,

ٱلْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ

almaghfuri dhunubuhum

whose sins are forgiven,

ٱلْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُهُمْ

almukaffari `anhum sayyi'atuhum

and whose offenses and pardoned.

وَٱجْعَلْ فِي مَا تِقْضِي وَتُقَدِّرُ

waj`al fima tiqdi wa tuqaddiru

Among the matters that You decide and make,

انْ تُطِيلَ عُمْرِي

an tutila `umri

(please) prolong my lifetime

وَتُوَسِّعَ لِي فِي رِزْقِي

wa tuwassi`a li fi rizqi

and expand my sustenance.

يَا بَاطِناً فِي ظُهُورِهِ

ya batinan fi zuhurihi

O He Who is intrinsic though He is evident!

ويَا ظَاهِراً فِي بُطُونِهِ

wa ya zahiran fi butunihi

O He Who is evident though He is intrinsic!

وَيَا بَاطِناً لَيْسَ يَخْفَىٰ

wa ya batinan laysa yakhfa

O He Who is intrinsic that is not missed!

وَيَا ظَاهِراً لَيْسَ يُرَىٰ

wa ya zahiran laysa yura

O He Who is evident but He cannot be seen!

يَا مَوْصُوفاً لاَ يَبْلُغُ بِكَيْنُونَتِهِ مَوْصُوفٌ

ya mawsufan la yablughu bikaynunatihi mawsufun

O He Who is described, but neither any other described thing

وَلاَ حَدٌّ مَحْدُودٌ

wa la haddun mahdudun

nor can any boundary attain His Being!

وَيَا غَائِباً غَيْرَ مَفْقُودٍ

wa ya gha'iban ghayra mafqudin

O He Who is absent but not lost!

وَيَا شَاهِداً غَيْرَ مَشْهُودٍ

wa ya shahidan ghayra mashhudin

O He Who is present but not witnessed!

يُطْلَبُ فَيُصَابُ

yutlabu fayusabu

When He is sought, He shall be obtained,

وَلَمْ يَخْلُ مِنْهُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ وَٱلارْضُ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ

wa lam yakhlu minhu alssamawatu wal-ardu wa ma baynahuma tarfata `aynin

and neither the heavens, nor the earth, nor can anything that is between them be empty of Him.

لاَ يُدْرَكُ بِكَيْفٍ

la yudraku bikayfin

He cannot be realized by asking ‘How is He?’

وَلاَ يُؤَيَّنُ بِايْنٍ وَلاَ بِحَيْثٍ

wa la yu'ayyanu bi-aynin wa la bihaythin

His place cannot be identified by asking, ‘Where is He?’ or ‘What is His place?’

انْتَ نُورُ ٱلنُّورِ

anta nuru alnnuri

You are verily the light of all lights

وَرَبُّ ٱلارْبَابِ

wa rabbu al-arbabi

and the Lord of all lords.

احَطْتَ بِجَمِيعِ ٱلامورِ

ahatta bijami`i al-umuri

You have comprehended all things.

سُبحَانَ مَنْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ

subhana man laysa kamithlihi shay'un

Glory be to Him Whose like is nonexistent,

وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلبَصِيرُ

wa huwa alssami`u albasiru

and He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.

سبحَانَ مَنْ هُوَ هٰكَذَا وَلاَ هٰكَذَا غَيْرُهُ

subhana man huwa hakadha wa la hakadha ghayruhu

Glory be to Him Who is in this state and nothing else can be ever in his state.

يَا مُدَبّرَ الأُمُورِ،

ya mudabbira ala’umuri

O the Director of all affairs;

يَا بَاعِثَ مَنْ فِي القُبُورِ،

ya ba`itha man fi alquburi

O the Resurrector of all those in graves;

يَا مُجْرِيَ البُحُورِ،

ya mujriya albuhuri

O He Who causes oceans to flow;

يَا مُلَيّنَ الحَدِيدِ لِدَاوُدَ

ya mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda

O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David;

صَلّ عَلَى مُحَمّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمّدٍ…

salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin…

(Please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad…

اللّيْلَة اللّيْلَةَ.

al-laylata al-laylata

This very night; this very night.

اَللّٰهُمَّ کُنْ لِوَلِیِّکَ الْقَائِمِ بِأَمْرِکَ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْمَهْدِیِّ، عَلَیْهِ وَ عَلٰی آبَائِهِ اَفْضَلُ الصَّلاَةِ وَالسَّلاَمِ

allahumma kun li-walliyikal-qaimi bi amrika, Muhammad-ibn-il-Hasan-il-Madhi ‘alayhi wa ‘alaa aabaihis-salaati was-salam

O’ Allah! Offer blessing and peace to be Your guard who will establish Your affair, Muhammad bin Al-Hassan Al-Mahdi, may the best blessing and peace be on him and his forefathers

فِیْ هٰذِهِ السَّاعَةِ وَ فِيْ کُلِّ سَاعَةٍ، وَلِیًّا وَ حَافِظًا وَ قَائِدًا وَ نَاصِراً وَ دَلِیْلاً وَ مُؤَیِّدًا

fi hadhi-his-sa’ati wa fi kullis-sa’atin waliyaan wa ‘hafidhan wa qaidan wa naasiran wa daleelan wa mu-ayyidan

at this particular time and other time, as a guard, protector, leader, helper, evidence and supporter

حَتّٰی تُسْکِنَهُ اَرْضَکَ طَوْعًا، وَ تُمَتِّعَهُ فِیْهَا طُوْلاً وَ عَرْضًا

‘hatta tuskinahu ardhaka taw’an wa tumatti’ahu feeha tu-lan wa ‘ardhan

till You make Your Earth in subservient to him, and make him have long and extensive pleasure in it

وَ تَجْعَلَهُ وَ ذُرِّیَّتَهُ مِنَ الْأَئِمَّةِ الْوَارِثِیْنَ ۔

wa taj’alahu wa dhuriyyatahu min-al-aimmati-il waritheena

and including his offspring among the inherited Imams.

اَللّٰهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ وَانْتَصِرْ بِهِ، وَاجْعَلِ النَّصْرَ مِنْکَ عَلٰی یَدِهِ

allahumman-surhu wan-tasir bihi waj’alin-nasra minka ‘ala yadihi

O’ Allah, help him and to become victorious through him, let the victory come from You through his hand

وَاجْعَلِ النَّصْرَ لَهُ وَالْفَتْحَ عَلٰی وَجْهِهِ، وَلاَ تُوَجِّهِ الْاَمْرَ اِلٰی غَیْرِهِ

waj’alin-nasra lahu wal-fat’ha ‘alaa wajhihi wa la tuwajjihil amra ilaa ghayrihi

let the help and victory come in his presence, and don’t give this responsibility to other than him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَظْهرْ بِهِ دِیْنَکَ وَ سُنَّةَ نَبِیِّکَ، حَتّٰی لاَ یَسْتَخْفِیَ بِشَیْئٍ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مَخَافَةَ اَحَدٍ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ

allahumma adh-hir bihi deenaka wa sunnata nabiyyika, ‘hatta la yastakhfiya bi-shayin min-al ‘haqqi makhafata ahadin min-al khalqi

O’ Allah manifest Your religion and the custom of Your Prophet through him, till none of the fact is hidden due to the fear of some Your creatures.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّیْ اَرْغَبُ اِلَیْکَ فِيْ دَوْلَةٍ کَرِیْمَةٍ تُعِزُّبِها الْاِسْلاَمَ وَ اَهلَهُ،

allahumma inni arghabu ilayka fi daulatin kareematin tu’izzu bih-al islama wa ahlahu

O Allah, we ardently desire that You confer upon us a respectful government through which You may give might to Islam and its followers

وَ تُذِلُّ بِهَا النِّفَاقَ وَ اَهْلَهُ، وَ تَجْعَلُنَا فِیْهَا مِنَ الدُّعَاةِ اِلٰی طَاعَتِکَ

wa tudhillu bih-an-nifaaqa wa ahlahu wa taj’aluna feeha min-addu’aati ila ta’atika

and humiliate hypocrisy and its people and include us among those who invite people to the obedience to You

وَالْقَادَةِ اِلٰی سَبِیْلَکَ، وَ آتِنَا فِيْ الدُّنْیَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِيْ الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ،

wal qaadati ila sabeelika wa aatina fid-duniya ‘hasanatan wa fil akhirati ‘hasanatan wa qina ‘adhab-an-naari

and lead them to Your approved path. Give us the good of this world and the world to come and save us from the Hell fire

وَاجْمَعْ لَنَا خَیْرَ الدَّارَیْنِ، وَاقْضِ عَنَّا جَمِیْعَ مَا تُحِبُّ فِیْهِمَا

wajm’a lana khair-ad-daareeni waqdhi ‘anna jamee’a ma tu’hibbu feehima

Gather for us all the good turns in the two worlds, grant us all that You love in the two worlds.

وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا فِي ذَالِکَ الْخِیَرَةَ بِرَحْمَتِکَ وَ مَنِّکَ في عَافِیَةٍ، آمِیْنَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ

waj’al lana fi dhalik-al-khayrata bi-rahmatika wa mannika fi ‘aafiyatin, aameena rabb-il-‘aalameena

And make them good for us with Your blessing, Amen the Lord of the worlds.

وَ زِدْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِکَ وَ یَدُکَ الْمَلأُ، فَاِنَّ کُلَّ مُعْطٍ یَنْقُصُ مِنْ مُلْکِهِ

wa zidna min fadhlika wa yaduk-al-malau finna kulla m’utin yanqusu min mulkihi

Increase Your favour from Your full hand on us. Every donor’s kingdom reduces

وَعَطَاؤُکَ یَزِیْدُ فِيْ مُلْکِکَ

wa ‘ataauka yazeedu fi mulkik

but Your donation increases Your Kingdom

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَ الرُّوحِ

subuwhu quduwsu rabu almalayikati wa alruwhi

"Sacred Holy Lord of the angels and the Spirit!

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الرُّوحِ وَ الْعَرْشِ

subuwhu quduwsu rabu alruwhi wa alarshi

Sacred Holy Lord of the Spirit and the Throne!

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرَضِينَ

subuwhu quduwsu rabu alsamawati wa alaaradina

Sacred Holy Lord of the heavens and the earths!

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْبِحَارِ وَ الْجِبَالِ

subuwhu quduwsu rabu albihari wa aljibali

Sacred Holy Lord of the seas and the mountains!

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ الْحِيتَانُ وَ الْهَوَامُّ وَ السِّبَاعُ فِي الْآكَامِ

subuwhu quduwsu yusabihu lahu alhitanu wa alhawamu wa alsibau fi alakami

Sacred Holy whom the fish, the pests and the beasts in the jungles glorify.

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ سَبَّحَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ

subuwhu quduwsu sabahat lahu almalayikatu almuqarabuna

Sacred Holy whom the nearby-stationed angels glorify.

سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ عَلَا فَقَهَرَ وَ خَلَقَ فَقَدَرَ

subuwhu quduwsu ala faqahara wa khalaqa faqadara

Sacred Holy He is Sublime thus subdues. Creates thus He is Powerful!

سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ قُدُّوسٌ

subuwhu subuwhu subuwhu subuwhu subuwhu subuwhu subuwhu quduwsu quduwsu quduwsu quduwsu quduwsu quduwsu quduwsu

Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy!

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

ainaka aanta alghafuru alrahimu

Surely you are the best forgiver

صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى آلِهِ وَ

sali alay muhamadi wa alay alihi wa

I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (MGB),

اغفر لي وارحمني. حقا أنت! الأبدي ، المطلق! "

aghfr ly warhmny. hqa ant! alabdy , almtlq! "

forgive me and have Mercy on me. Indeed You are the One! The Eternal, Absolute!”.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ الشَّكَّ فِي أَنَّ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِيهَا أَوْ فِيمَا تَقَدَّمَهَا وَاقِعٌ فَإِنَّهُ فِيكَ وَ فِي وَحْدَانِيَّتِكَ وَ تَزْكِيَتِكَ الْأَعْمَالَ

allahuma ain kana alshaka fi aana laylata alqadri fiha aaw fima taqadamaha waqiu fainahu fika wa fi wahdaniatika wa tazkiatika alaamala

“O‟ my God! Even though there is some doubt about whether this night or the previous one is the Night of Destiny, there is no doubt about Your being one and only and that You purify the deeds.

زَائِلٌ وَ فِي أَيِّ اللَّيَالِي تَقَرَّبَ مِنْكَ الْعَبْدُ

zayilu wa fi aayi allayali taqaraba minka alabdu

You would not push away Your servant on any night that he seeks closeness to You, and You accept him.

لَمْ تُبْعِدْهُ وَ قَبِلْتَهُ وَ أَخْلَصَ فِي سُؤَالِكَ لَمْ تَرُدَّهُ وَ أَجَبْتَهُ وَ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ شَكَرْتَهُ وَ رَفَعَ إِلَيْكَ مَا يُرْضِيكَ ذَخَرْتَهُ

lam tubidhu wa qabiltahu wa aakhlasa fi suaalika lam tarudahu wa aajabtahu wa amila alsaalihati shakartahu wa rafaa ailayka ma yurdika dhakhartahu

You do not reject him if he is sincere in what he asks and You would fulfill his request. You thank him if he does good deeds. And You would save any deeds he sends up that please You.

اللَّهُمَّ فَأَمِدَّنِي فِيهَا بِالْعَوْنِ عَلَى مَا يُزْلِفُ لَدَيْكَ

allahuma faamidani fiha bialawni alay ma yuzlifu ladayka

O‟ my God! Please give me assistance regarding what would bring me closer to You.

فِيهِ الْقُرْبَى إِلَيْكَ وَ أَسْبِغْ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ فِي الدَّارَيْنِ سَعْيِي

fihi alqurbay ailayka wa aasbigh mina alamali fi aldaarayni sayi

Please grab me and lead me towards what would bring me closer to You. And increase my efforts for both worlds.

وَ رَقِّ لِي مِنْ جُودِكَ بِخَيْرَاتِهَا عَطِيَّتِي وَ أَبْتِرْ عَيْلَتِي مِنْ ذُنُوبِي بِالتَّوْبَةِ

wa raqi li min judika bikhayratiha atiati wa aabtir aylati min dhunubi bialtawbati

And make the goods You grant me in this month better for me. And cut me off from my sins by means of repentance.

وَ مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِسَعَةِ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ اغْفِرْ لِي فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَ لِوَالِدَيَّ وَ لِجَمِيعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ غُفْرَانَ مُتَنَزِّهٍ عَنْ عُقُوبَةِ الضُّعَفَاءِ رَحِيمٍ بِذَوِي الْفَاقَةِ وَ الْفُقَرَاءِ جَادٍ عَلَى عَبِيدِهِ شَفِيقٍ بِخُضُوعِهِمْ وَ ذِلَّتِهِمْ

wa min khatayaya bisaati alrahmati wa aghfir li fi hadhihi allaylati wa liwalidaya wa lijamii almuminina wa almuminati ghufrana mutanazihi an uqubati alduafai rahimi bidhawi alfaqati wa alfuqarai jadi alay abidihi shafiqi bikhuduihim wa dhilatihim

And cut me off from my mistakes by Your Extensive Mercy. And please forgive me, my parents, all the believing men and women on this night. Forgiveness of one who is free from the punishment of the weak, Merciful to the ones in privation and poverty- Forgiving to his servants- Most kind to their humbleness and debasement.

رَفِيقٍ لَا تَنْقُصُهُ الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لَا يُفْقِرُهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِمْ مِنْ صَنِيعِهِ

rafiqi la tanqusuhu alsadaqatu alayhim wa la yufqiruhu ma yughnihim min saniihi

Friend whose bounties do not diminish by bestowing on them, and whose wealthiness is not affected by His making them wealthy.

اللَّهُمَّ اقْضِ دَيْنِي وَ دَيْنَ كُلِّ مَدْيُونٍ

allahuma aqdi dayni wa dayna kuli madyuni

O‟ my God! Please pay back all my debts and that of all who are in debt.

وَ فَرِّجْ عَنِّي وَ عَنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوبٍ وَ أَصْلِحْنِي وَ أَهْلِي وَ وُلْدِي

wa farij aniy wa an kuli makrubi wa aaslihni wa aahli wa wuldi

Please relieve my grief and that of all who are grief-stricken, improve my affairs as well as the affairs of my wife and children.

وَ أَصْلِحْ كُلَّ فَاسِدٍ وَ انْفَعْ مِنِّي وَ اجْعَلْ فِي الْحَلَالِ الطِّيبِ الْهَنِي‌ءِ الْكَثِيرِ السَّابِغِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ عَيْشِي وَ مِنْهُ لِبَاسِي وَ فِيهِ مُنْقَلَبِي

wa aaslih kula fasidi wa anfa miniy wa ajal fi alhalali altiybi alhanii alkathiri alsaabighi min rizqika ayshi wa minhu libasi wa fihi munqalabi

And improve all mixed up affairs to benefit me. Also grant me legitimate, pure and delicious sustenance, clothes, and provisions for my afterlife.

وَ اقْبِضْ عَنِ الْمَحَارِمِ يَدِي مِنْ غَيْرِ قَطْعٍ وَ لَا شَلٍّ وَ لِسَانِي مِنْ غَيْرِ خَرَسٍ وَ أُذُنِي مِنْ غَيْرِ صَمَمٍ وَ عَيْنِي مِنْ غَيْرِ عَمًى وَ رِجْلِي مِنْ غَيْرِ زَمَانَةٍ وَ فَرْجِي مِنْ غَيْرِ إِحْمَالٍ وَ بَطْنِي مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجَعٍ وَ سَائِرِ أَعْضَائِي مِنْ غَيْرِ خَلَلٍ

wa aqbid ani almaharimi yadi min ghayri qati wa la shali wa lisani min ghayri kharasi wa audhuni min ghayri samami wa ayni min ghayri amay wa rijli min ghayri zamanati wa farji min ghayri aihmali wa batni min ghayri wajai wa sayiri aadayiy min ghayri khalali

Cut my hands off of forbidden things without cutting them or making them crippled, or making me dumb, or making me deaf, or making me blind, or making me crippled, or making me impotent, or given me a stomach-ache, or making my other organs defective.

وَ أردني [أَوْرِدْنِي‌] عَلَيْكَ يَوْمَ وُقُوفِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ خَالِصاً مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ نَقِيّاً مِنَ الْعُيُوبِ لَا أَسْتَحْيِي مِنْكَ بِكُفْرَانِ نِعْمَةٍ وَ لَا إِقْرَارٍ بِشَرِيكٍ لَكَ فِي الْقُدْرَةِ وَ لَا بِإِرْهَاجٍ فِي فِتْنَةٍ وَ لَا تَوَرُّطٍ فِي دِمَاءٍ مُحْرِمَةٍ وَ لَا بَيْعَةٍ أُطَوِّقُهَا عُنُقِي لِأَحَدٍ مِمَّنْ فَضَّلْتَهُ بِفَضِيلَةٍ وَ لَا وُقُوفٍ تَحْتَ رَايَةِ غُدَرَةٍ وَ لَا اسْوِدَادِ [أَسْوَدِ] الْوَجْهِ بِالْأَيْمَانِ الْفَاجِرَةِ وَ الْعُهُودِ الْخَائِنَةِ

wa ardny [aawridni] alayka yawma wuqufi bayna yadayka khalisaa mina aldhunubi naqiaa mina aluyubi la aastahyi minka bikufrani nimati wa la aiqrari bishariki laka fi alqudrati wa la biairhaji fi fitnati wa la tawaruti fi dimai muhrimati wa la bayati autawiquha unuqi liaahadi miman fadaltahu bifadilati wa la wuqufi tahta rayati ghudarati wa la aswidadi [aaswadi] alwajhi bialaaymani alfajirati wa aluhudi alkhayinati

Please let me enter to see You on the Day I shall stand in front of You while I am free of sins, free of faults, not ashamed of You, for having denied Your Blessings, having never confessed to anyone being a partner with You in Your Power, not having started any sedition, having never fallen into any ditch of unduly shed blood, not having placed anyone‟s yoke on my neck whom You have honored somehow, not having stood under any deceitful flags, and not having turned colors due to false oaths and betrayal of pledges.

وَ أَنِلْنِي مِنْ تَوْفِيقِكَ وَ هُدَاكَ مَا نَسْلُكُ بِهِ سُبُلَ طَاعَتِكَ وَ رِضَاكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.

wa aanilni min tawfiqika wa hudaka ma nasluku bihi subula taatika wa ridaka ya aarhama alraahimina.

Please give me enough of Your success and guidance to be able to follow the path of Your Obedience and pleasure, O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”
