Dua Alavi Misri

رَبِّ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ دَعَاكَ فَلَمْ تُجِبْهُ

Rabbi man dhā alladhī da‘āka fa-lam tujibhu

My Lord, who is there that called upon You and You did not answer him?

وَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ سَأَلَكَ فَلَمْ تُعْطِهِ

Wa man dhā alladhī sa’alaka fa-lam tu‘ṭihi

And who is there that asked You and You did not give to him?

وَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ نَاجَاكَ فَخَيَّبْتَهُ

Wa man dhā alladhī nājāka fa-khayyabtahu

And who is there that whispered to You and You disappointed him?

أَوْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْكَ فَأَبْعَدْتَهُ

Aw taqarraba ilayka fa-ab‘adtahu

Or drew near to You and You cast him away?

وَرَبِّ هٰذَا فِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الْأَوْتَادِ

Wa rabbi hādhā Fir‘awnu dhū al-awtād

And my Lord, this is Pharaoh, the lord of mighty stakes,

مَعَ عِنَادِهِ وَكُفْرِهِ وَعُتُوِّهِ

Ma‘a ‘inādihi wa kufrihi wa ‘utūwwihi

Despite his obstinacy, disbelief, and tyranny,

وَإِذْعَانِهِ الرُّبُوبِيَّةَ لِنَفْسِهِ

Wa idh‘ānihi ar-rubūbiyyata linafsihi

And his claiming lordship for himself,

وَعِلْمِكَ بِأَنَّهُ لَا يَتُوبُ

Wa ‘ilmika bi-annahu lā yatūb

Though You knew that he would not repent,

وَلَا يَرْجِعُ وَلَا يَئُوبُ

Wa lā yarji‘u wa lā ya’ūb

Nor return, nor turn back,

وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ وَلَا يَخْشَعُ

Wa lā yu’minu wa lā yakhsha‘

Nor believe, nor humble himself,

اِسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ دُعَاءَهُ

Istajabta lahu du‘ā’ahu

Yet You answered his supplication,

وَأَعْطَيْتَهُ سُؤْلَهُ كَرَمًا مِنْكَ

Wa a‘ṭaytahu su’lahu karaman minka

And You granted him his request out of Your generosity,

وَجُودًا وَقِلَّةَ مِقْدَارٍ لِمَا سَأَلَ

Wa jūdan wa qillata miqdārin limā sa’al

And bounty, though what he asked was insignificant,

عِنْدَكَ مَعَ عِظَمِهِ عِنْدَهُ

‘Indaka ma‘a ‘iẓamihi ‘indahu

With You, though it was great in his sight,

أَخْذًا بِحُجَّتِكَ عَلَيْهِ

Akhḏan bi-ḥujjatika ‘alayhi

So that Your proof might stand against him,

وَتَأْكِيدًا لَهَا حِينَ فَجَرَ وَكَفَرَ

Wa ta’kīdan lahā ḥīna fajara wa kafar

And to confirm it when he transgressed and disbelieved,

وَاسْتَطَالَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ وَتَجَبَّرَ

Wa istaṭāla ‘alā qawmihi wa tajabbara

And exalted himself over his people and became arrogant,

وَبِكُفْرِهِ عَلَيْهِمُ افْتَخَرَ

Wa bi-kufrihi ‘alayhim iftakhar

And boasted over them in his disbelief,

وَبِظُلْمِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ تَكَبَّرَ

Wa bi-ẓulmihi linafsihi takabbara

And grew proud through his injustice to himself,

وَبِحِلْمِكَ عَنْهُ اسْتَكْبَرَ

Wa bi-ḥilmika ‘anhu istakbara

And was arrogant because of Your forbearance toward him,

فَكَتَبَ وَحَكَمَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ

Fa-kataba wa ḥakama ‘alā nafsihi

So he decreed and judged against himself,

جُرْأَةً مِنْهُ أَنَّ جَزَاءَ مِثْلِهِ

Jur’atan minhu anna jazā’a mithlihi

Out of his own audacity, that the recompense of one like him

أَنْ يُغْرَقَ فِي الْبَحْرِ

An yughraqa fī al-baḥr

Should be to be drowned in the sea,

فَجَزَيْتَهُ بِمَا حَكَمَ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ

Fa-jazaytahu bimā ḥakama ‘alā nafsihi

So You repaid him according to what he judged for himself.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

اِلٰهِيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ، اِبْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ اَمَتِكَ

Ilāhī wa-anā ‘abduka, ibnu ‘abdika wa ibnu amatika

My God, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant and Your maidservant.

مُعْتَرِفٌ لَكَ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ، مُقِرٌّ بِاَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ

Mu‘tarifun laka bil-‘ubūdiyyah, muqirrun bi-annaka anta Allāh

Acknowledging servitude to You, confessing that You alone are God.

خَالِقِيْ، لَا إِلٰهَ لِيْ غَيْرُكَ

Khāliqī, lā ilāha lī ghayruka

My Creator, I have no god besides You.

وَلَا رَبَّ لِيْ سِوَاكَ

Wa lā rabba lī siwāka

And I have no Lord other than You.

مُوْقِنٌ بِاَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اللهُ رَبِّيْ

Mūqinan bi-annaka anta Allāhu rabbī

Certain that You are Allah, my Lord,

وَاِلَيْكَ مَرَدِّيْ وَاِيَابِيْ

Wa ilayka maraddī wa iyābī

And to You is my return and my coming back.

عَالِمٌ بِاَنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

‘Ālimun bi-annaka ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr

Knowing that You have power over all things.

تَفْعَلُ مَا تَشَاءُ وَتَحْكُمُ مَا تُرِيْدُ

Taf‘alu mā tashā’u wa taḥkumu mā turīd

You do whatever You will and decree whatever You wish.

لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِكَ

Lā mu‘aqqiba li-ḥukmika

None can reverse Your command.

وَلَا رَادَّ لِقَضَائِكَ

Wa lā rādda li-qaḍā’ika

And none can repel Your decree.

وَاَنَّكَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ

Wa annaka al-awwalu wal-ākhir

And You are the First and the Last,

وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ

Wa aẓ-ẓāhiru wal-bāṭin

The Manifest and the Hidden.

لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ

Lam takun min shay’

You did not come from anything,

وَلَمْ تَبِنْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ

Wa lam tabin ‘an shay’

Nor did You separate from anything.

كُنْتَ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

Kunta qabla kulli shay’

You were before everything,

وَاَنْتَ الْكَائِنُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

Wa anta al-kā’inu ba‘da kulli shay’

And You remain after everything.

وَالْمُكَوِّنُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ

Wal-mukawwinu li-kulli shay’

And the One who brings all things into being.

خَلَقْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِتَقْدِيرٍ

Khalaqta kulla shay’in bi-taqdīr

You created everything with precise measure.

وَاَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

Wa anta as-samī‘u al-baṣīr

And You are the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ كَذٰلِكَ كُنْتَ وَتَكُونُ

Wa ashhadu annaka kadhālika kunta wa takūn

And I bear witness that You were so and will always be so.

وَأَنْتَ حَيٌّ قَيُّومٌ

Wa anta ḥayyٌ qayyūm

And You are the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting.

لَا تَأْخُذُكَ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ

Lā ta’khudhuka sinatun wa lā nawm

Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes You.

وَلَا تُوصَفُ بِالْأَوْهَامِ

Wa lā tūṣafu bil-awhām

You cannot be described by imaginations.

وَلَا تُدْرَكُ بِالْحَوَاسِّ

Wa lā tudraku bil-ḥawāss

Nor perceived by the senses.

وَلَا تُقَاسُ بِالْمِقْيَاسِ

Wa lā tuqāsu bil-miqyās

Nor measured by any measure.

وَلَا تُشَبَّهُ بِالنَّاسِ

Wa lā tushabbahu bin-nās

Nor likened to mankind.

وَأَنَّ الْخَلْقَ كُلَّهُمْ عَبِيدُكَ وَإِمَاؤُكَ

Wa anna al-khalqa kullahum ‘abīduka wa imā’uka

And all creation are Your servants and bondmaids.

أَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَنَحْنُ الْمَرْبُوبُونَ

Anta ar-rabbu wa naḥnu al-marbūbūn

You are the Lord, and we are the ones nurtured.

وَأَنْتَ الْخَالِقُ وَنَحْنُ الْمَخْلُوقُونَ

Wa anta al-khāliqu wa naḥnu al-makhlūqūn

You are the Creator, and we are the created.

وَأَنْتَ الرَّازِقُ وَنَحْنُ الْمَرْزُوقُونَ

Wa anta ar-rāziqu wa naḥnu al-marzūqūn

You are the Provider, and we are the provided-for.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا إِلٰهِيْ إِذْ خَلَقْتَنِي بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا

Fa laka al-ḥamdu yā ilāhī idh khalaqtanī basharan sawiyyan

So all praise is Yours, my God, for You created me a sound human being.

وَجَعَلْتَنِي غَنِيًّا مَكْفِيًّا

Wa ja‘altanī ghaniyyan makfiyyan

And You made me free of need and well provided.

بَعْدَ مَا كُنْتُ طِفْلًا صَبِيًّا

Ba‘da mā kuntu ṭiflan ṣabiyyan

After I was a small infant child.

تَقُوتُنِي مِنَ الثَّدْيِ لَبَنًا مَرِيئًا

Taqūtunī mina ath-thadyi labanan marī’an

You nourished me from the breast with wholesome milk.

وَغَذَّيْتَنِي غِذَاءً طَيِّبًا هَنِيئًا

Wa ghadhdhaytanī ghidhā’an ṭayyiban hanī’an

And You fed me with good and pleasant nourishment.

وَجَعَلْتَنِي ذَكَرًا مِثَالًا سَوِيًّا

Wa ja‘altanī dhakaran mithālan sawiyyan

And You made me a male, well-formed and sound.

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا إِنْ عُدَّ لَمْ يُحْصَ

Fa laka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan in ‘udda lam yuḥṣā

So Yours is praise, a praise that cannot be counted.

وَإِنْ وُضِعَ لَمْ يَتَّسِعْ لَهُ شَيْءٌ

Wa in wuḍi‘a lam yattasi‘ lahu shay’

And if placed, nothing could contain it.

حَمْدًا يَفُوقُ عَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ حَمْدِ الْحَامِدِينَ

Ḥamdan yafūqu ‘alā jamī‘i ḥamdi al-ḥāmidīn

A praise surpassing all praise of those who praise.

وَيَعْلُو عَلَىٰ حَمْدِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ

Wa ya‘lū ‘alā ḥamdi kulli shay’

And rising above the praise of everything.

وَيَفْخُمُ وَيَعْظُمُ عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ كُلِّهِ

Wa yafkhumu wa ya‘ẓumu ‘alā dhālika kullihi

And it is greater and more majestic than all of that.

وَكُلَّمَا حَمِدَ اللهَ شَيْءٌ

Wa kullamā ḥamida Allāha shay’

And whenever anything praises Allah,

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُحْمَدَ

Wal-ḥamdu lillāhi kamā yuḥibbu an yuḥmad

All praise belongs to Allah as He loves to be praised.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ

Wal-ḥamdu lillāhi ‘adada mā khalaq

All praise is to Allah, equal to the number of what He created.

وَوِزْنَةَ مَا خَلَقَ

Wa wiznata mā khalaq

And equal to the weight of what He created.

وَوِزْنَةَ أَجَلِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Wa wiznata ajalli mā khalaq

And equal to the weight of the greatest of what He created.

وَبِوَزْنِ أَخَفِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Wa bi-wazni akhaffi mā khalaq

And by the weight of the lightest of what He created.

وَبِعَدَدِ أَصْغَرِ مَا خَلَقَ

Wa bi-‘adadi aṣghari mā khalaq

And by the number of the smallest of what He created.

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرْضَىٰ رَبُّنَا

Wal-ḥamdu lillāhi ḥattā yarḍā rabbunā

All praise is to Allah until our Lord is pleased.

وَبَعْدَ الرِّضَا

Wa ba‘da ar-riḍā

And after His pleasure.

وَأَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Wa as’aluhu an yuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

And I ask Him to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

وَأَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an yaghfira lī dhanbī

And to forgive my sin.

وَأَنْ يَحْمَدَ لِي أَمْرِي

Wa an yaḥmada lī amrī

And to set my affairs aright with praise.

وَيَتُوبَ عَلَيَّ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Wa yatūba ‘alayya innahu huwa at-tawwābu ar-raḥīm

And to turn to me in mercy; surely He is the Oft-Returning, the Merciful.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

اِلٰهِيْ وَاِنِّيْ اَنَا اَدْعُوكَ وَاَسْاَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ

Ilāhī wa innī anā ad‘ūka wa as’aluka bismika

My God, I call upon You and ask You by Your Name,

الَّذِيْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ صَفْوَتُكَ اَبُونَا اٰدَمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

Alladhī da‘āka bihi ṣafwatuka abūnā Ādam ‘alayhi as-salām

By which Your chosen one, our father Adam, called upon You,

وَهُوَ مُسِيْءٌ ظَالِمٌ حِيْنَ اَصَابَ الْخَطِيْئَةَ

Wa huwa musī’un ẓālimun ḥīna aṣāba al-khaṭī’ah

When he erred and wronged himself by committing the sin,

فَغَفَرْتَ لَهُ خَطِيْئَتَهُ

Fa-ghafarta lahu khaṭī’atahu

So You forgave him his sin,

وَتُبْتَ عَلَيْهِ

Wa tubta ‘alayhi

And You turned toward him in mercy,

وَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ دَعْوَتَهُ

Wa istajabta lahu da‘watahu

And You answered his supplication,

وَكُنْتَ مِنْهُ قَرِيْبًا يَا قَرِيْبُ

Wa kunta minhu qarīban yā qarīb

And You were near to him, O Near One.

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَاَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ خَطِيْئَتِيْ

Wa an taghfira lī khaṭī’atī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَرْضَىٰ عَنِّيْ

Wa tarḍā ‘annī

And be pleased with me.

فَاِنْ لَمْ تَرْضَ عَنِّيْ فَاعْفُ عَنِّيْ

Fa-in lam tarḍa ‘annī fa‘fu ‘annī

And if You are not pleased with me, then pardon me,

فَاِنِّيْ مُسِيْءٌ ظَالِمٌ خَاطِئٌ عَاصٍ

Fa-innī musī’un ẓālimun khāṭi’un ‘āṣ

For I am an offender, a wrongdoer, sinful and disobedient.

وَقَدْ يَعْفُو السَّيِّدُ عَنْ عَبْدِهِ

Wa qad ya‘fū as-sayyidu ‘an ‘abdihi

And a master may pardon his servant,

وَلَيْسَ بِرَاضٍ عَنْهُ

Wa laysa bi-rāḍin ‘anhu

Even if he is not pleased with him.

وَاَنْ تُرْضِيَ عَنِّيْ خَلْقَكَ

Wa an turḍiya ‘annī khalqaka

And that You make Your creation pleased with me,

وَتُمِيْطَ عَنِّيْ حَقَّكَ

Wa tumīṭa ‘annī ḥaqqaka

And remove from me what is due of Your right.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

وَاَسْاَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِيْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ إِدْرِيْسُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Idrīs

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Idrīs called upon You,

حِيْنَ رَفَعْتَهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا

Ḥīna rafa‘tahu makānan ‘aliyyā

When You raised him to a lofty station,

وَاَنْتَ عَلِمْتَ مَا كَانَ مِنْهُ

Wa anta ‘alimta mā kāna minhu

While You knew all that was from him,

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَاَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ ذَنْبِيْ

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَسْتُرَ عَلَيَّ عَيْبِيْ

Wa tastura ‘alayya ‘aybī

And that You conceal my faults from me.

وَاَسْاَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِيْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ نُوْحٌ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Nūḥ

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Nūḥ called upon You,

حِيْنَ دَعَاكَ فِي قَوْمِهِ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍ اِلَّا خَمْسِيْنَ

Ḥīna da‘āka fī qawmihi alfa sanatin illā khamsīn

When he called upon You among his people for a thousand years minus fifty,

فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَاؤُهُ اِلَّا فِرَارًا

Fa-lam yazid’hum du‘ā’uhu illā firārā

Yet his supplication only increased them in flight,

فَفَتَحْتَ اَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ

Fa-fataḥta abwāba as-samā’i bimā’in munhamir

So You opened the gates of the sky with pouring water,

وَفَجَّرْتَ الْاَرْضَ عُيُونًا

Wa fajjarta al-arḍa ‘uyūnā

And caused the earth to burst forth with springs,

فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلٰى اَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ

Fa-ltaqā al-mā’u ‘alā amrin qad qudir

And the waters met upon a matter already decreed,

فَنَجَّيْتَهُ وَاَهْلَهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ

Fa-najjaytahu wa ahlahu wa man ma‘ahu

So You saved him, his family, and those with him,

وَجَعَلْتَ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِيْنَ

Wa ja‘alta dhurriyyatahu hum al-bāqīn

And You made his descendants the ones who remained,

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَاَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ ذَنْبِيْ

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

Wa tarḥamanī innaka anta arḥamu ar-rāḥimīn

And have mercy on me; surely You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Ibrāhīm

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Abraham called upon You,

حِينَ أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ فَجَعَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا

Ḥīna ulqiya fī an-nāri fa-ja‘altahā ‘alayhi bardan wa salāmā

When he was cast into the fire and You made it cool and safe for him,

وَجَعَلْتَهُ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا

Wa ja‘altahu li-n-nāsi imāmā

And You made him an imam for mankind,

وَوَهَبْتَ لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ

Wa wahabta lahu Isḥāqa wa Ya‘qūb

And You granted him Isaac and Jacob,

وَجَعَلْتَ فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ

Wa ja‘alta fī dhurriyyatihi an-nubuwwata wal-kitāb

And You placed prophethood and the Book in his descendants,

وَرَزَقْتَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً

Wa razaqtahu fī ad-dunyā ḥasanah

And You provided for him goodness in this world,

وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Wa innahu fī al-ākhirati lamina aṣ-ṣāliḥīn

And surely in the Hereafter he is among the righteous,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Wa taj‘alanī min dhurriyyatihi al-mu’minīn

And make me among his believing descendants,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ مُوسَى

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Mūsā

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Moses called upon You,

حِينَ كَلَّمْتَهُ تَكْلِيمًا

Ḥīna kallamtahu taklīmā

When You spoke to him directly,

وَفَلَقْتَ لَهُ الْبَحْرَ فَأَنْجَيْتَهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ

Wa falaqta lahu al-baḥra fa-anjaytahu wa man ma‘ahu

And You split the sea for him and saved him and those with him,

وَأَغْرَقْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجُنُودَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ

Wa aghraqta Fir‘awna wa junūdahu ajma‘īn

And You drowned Pharaoh and all his troops,

وَآتَيْتَهُ التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ

Wa ātaytahu at-Tawrāta fīhā hudan wa nūr

And You gave him the Torah, containing guidance and light,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتُخَلِّصَنِي مِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ وَشِدَّةٍ

Wa tukhalliṣanī min kulli karbin wa shiddah

And deliver me from every distress and hardship.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ عِيسَى

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka ‘Īsā

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Jesus called upon You,

حِينَ خَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَبٍ

Ḥīna khalaqtahu min ghayri ab

When You created him without a father,

وَجَعَلْتَ أُمَّهُ آيَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

Wa ja‘alta ummahu āyatan lil-‘ālamīn

And You made his mother a sign for all worlds,

وَأَيَّدْتَهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ

Wa ayyadtahu bi-rūḥi al-qudus

And You strengthened him with the Holy Spirit,

وَكَلَّمَ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا

Wa kallama an-nāsa fī al-mahdi wa kahlā

And he spoke to people in the cradle and in maturity,

وَأَحْيَا الْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِكَ

Wa aḥyā al-mawtā bi-idhnik

And he gave life to the dead by Your permission,

وَأَبْرَأَ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ

Wa abra’a al-akmaha wal-abraṣ

And he cured the blind and the leper,

وَعَلَّمْتَهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ

Wa ‘allamtahu al-kitāba wal-ḥikmah

And You taught him the Book and wisdom,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتُبَرِّئَنِي مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ كُلِّهَا

Wa tubarri’anī mina adh-dhunūbi kullihā

And absolve me of all sins,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ دَاوُدُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Dāwūd

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet David called upon You,

حِينَ أَلَنْتَ لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ

Ḥīna alanta lahu al-ḥadīd

When You softened iron for him,

وَعَلَّمْتَهُ صَنْعَةَ اللُّبُوسِ

Wa ‘allamtahu ṣan‘ata al-lubūs

And taught him the making of armor,

وَآتَيْتَهُ الْمُلْكَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ

Wa ātaytahu al-mulka wal-ḥikmah

And You gave him sovereignty and wisdom,

وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ

Wa faṣla al-khiṭāb

And decisive speech,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتُقَوِّيَنِي عَلَىٰ طَاعَتِكَ

Wa tuqawwiyanī ‘alā ṭā‘atika

And strengthen me in obedience to You.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ سُلَيْمَانُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Sulaymān

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Solomon called upon You,

حِينَ وَهَبْتَ لَهُ مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

Ḥīna wahabta lahu mulkan lā yanbaghī li-aḥadin min ba‘dihi

When You granted him a kingdom not befitting anyone after him,

وَسَخَّرْتَ لَهُ الرِّيحَ وَالْجِنَّ

Wa sakhkharta lahu ar-rīḥa wal-jinn

And You subjected the wind and the jinn to him,

وَالطَّيْرَ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ

Wa ṭ-ṭayra wa ash-shayāṭīn

And the birds and the devils,

وَعَلَّمْتَهُ مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ

Wa ‘allamtahu manṭiqa aṭ-ṭayr

And You taught him the language of birds,

وَآتَيْتَهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ

Wa ātaytahu al-ḥikmata wa faṣla al-khiṭāb

And You gave him wisdom and decisive judgment,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتُسَخِّرَ لِي مَا فِي الدُّنْيَا بِطَاعَتِكَ

Wa tusakhkhira lī mā fī ad-dunyā bi-ṭā‘atika

And subject for me what is in the world through obedience to You,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ أَيُّوبُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Ayyūb

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Job called upon You,

حِينَ أَصَابَهُ الضُّرُّ فَصَبَرَ

Ḥīna aṣābahu aḍ-ḍurru fa-ṣabara

When harm afflicted him and he remained patient,

وَلَمْ يَجْزَعْ وَلَمْ يَشْكُ

Wa lam yajza‘ wa lam yashku

And he did not despair nor complain,

فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ فَكَشَفْتَ مَا بِهِ مِنْ ضُرٍّ

Fa-stajabta lahu fa-kashafta mā bihi min ḍurr

So You answered him and removed the harm from him,

وَآتَيْتَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ

Wa ātaytahu ahlahu wa mithlahum ma‘ahum

And You restored his family and the like of them with them,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَكْشِفَ عَنِّي كُلَّ ضُرٍّ وَبَلَاءٍ

Wa takshifa ‘annī kulla ḍurrin wa balā’

And remove from me every harm and affliction.

اِلٰهِيْ **

Ilāhī

My God

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ يُوسُفُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Yūsuf

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Joseph called upon You,

حِينَ أَخْرَجْتَهُ مِنَ الْجُبِّ

Ḥīna akhraj­tahu mina al-jubb

When You brought him out of the well,

وَجَعَلْتَ كَيْدَ إِخْوَتِهِ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ

Wa ja‘alta kayda ikhwati­hi fī nuḥūrihim

And You turned the plot of his brothers against themselves,

وَآتَيْتَهُ الْمُلْكَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالْعِلْمَ

Wa ātaytahu al-mulka wal-ḥukma wal-‘ilm

And You granted him sovereignty, judgment, and knowledge,

وَعَلَّمْتَهُ تَأْوِيلَ الْأَحَادِيثِ

Wa ‘allamtahu ta’wīla al-aḥādīth

And You taught him the interpretation of dreams,

وَجَمَعْتَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَبَوَيْهِ

Wa jama‘ta baynahu wa bayna abawayhi

And You reunited him with his parents,

وَرَفَعْتَ أَبَوَيْهِ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ

Wa rafa‘ta abawayhi ‘alā al-‘arsh

And You raised his parents upon the throne,

وَخَرُّوا لَهُ سُجَّدًا

Wa kharrū lahu sujjadā

And they fell down prostrating before him,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتَجْمَعَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ أَحِبَّتِي عَلَى خَيْرٍ

Wa tajma‘a baynī wa bayna aḥibbati ‘alā khayr

And reunite me with my loved ones upon goodness,

وَأَسْأَلُكَ بِالِاسْمِ الَّذِي دَعَاكَ بِهِ نَبِيُّكَ يُونُسُ

Wa as’aluka bil-ismi alladhī da‘āka bihi nabiyyuka Yūnus

And I ask You by the Name with which Your prophet Jonah called upon You,

حِينَ نَادَاكَ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ

Ḥīna nādāka fī aẓ-ẓulumāt

When he called upon You in the depths of darkness,

أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ

An lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka

That there is no god except You, glory be to You,

إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

Innī kuntu mina aẓ-ẓālimīn

Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers,

فَاسْتَجَبْتَ لَهُ وَنَجَّيْتَهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ

Fa-stajabta lahu wa najjaytahu mina al-ghamm

So You answered him and saved him from distress,

أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

An tuṣalliya ‘alā Muḥammad wa āli Muḥammad

That You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذَنْبِي

Wa an taghfira lī dhanbī

And that You forgive my sin,

وَتُنَجِّيَنِي مِنْ كُلِّ هَمٍّ وَغَمٍّ

Wa tunajjiyanī min kulli hammin wa ghamm

And save me from every worry and distress.

وَاَسْاَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَاُنَادِيْكَ بِمَا نَادَاكَ بِهِ سَيِّدِيْ

O' Allah

وَسَئَلَكَ بِهِ نُوْحٌ

I requested and call upon You as my master called You

اِذْ قُلْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ «وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوْحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيْبُوْنَ» اَجَلِ اللّٰهُمَّ يَا رَبِّ اَنْتَ نِعْمَ الْمُجِيْبُ

Prophet Nuh peace be on him as he requested from You

وَنِعْمَ الْمَدْعُوُّ

when You The Bless and The Exalted one said: {Noah called to Us

وَنِعْمَ الْمَسْئُوْلُ

and how excellent were the answerers!} [14] Yes

وَنِعْمَ الْمُعْطٰي

O' Allah

اَنْتَ الَّذِيْ لَاتُخَيِّبُ سَاۤئِلَكَ

my God

وَلَاتَرُدُّ رَاجِيَكَ

how excellent You answered call! How excellent You are called! How excellent You are being asked! How excellent You give! You did not disappoint those that call upon You

وَلَاتَطْرُدُ الْمُلِحَّ عَنْ بَابِكَ

and You did not ejected those that insisted on Your door

وَلَاتَرُدُّ دُعَاۤءَ سَاۤئِلِكَ

You did not weary for the bountifulness of their requests and also You are not weary in solving it for them

وَلَاتَمُلُّ دُعَاءَ مَنْ اَمَّلَكَ

because solving the problems of Your creations is as quick as twinkling of eyes and very light for You and easier than the wing of a mosquito.

وَلَاتَتَبَرَّمُ بِكَثْرَةِ حَوَاۤئِجِهِمْ اِلَيْكَ

And You are not wearied by the multitude of their needs before You,

وَلَابِقَضَاۤئِهَا لَهُمْ

Nor by fulfilling them for them.

فَاِنَّ قَضَاۤءَ حَوَاۤئِجِ جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ اِلَيْكَ فِيْ اَسْرَعِ لَحْظٍ مِنْ لَمْحِ الطَّرْفِ

For indeed, the fulfillment of the needs of all Your creation before You is swifter than the twinkling of an eye,

وَاَخَفُّ عَلَيْكَ

And lighter upon You,

وَاَهْوَنُ عِنْدَكَ مِنْ جَنَاحِ بَعُوْضَةٍ

And easier for You than the wing of a mosquito.

وَحَاجَتِيْ يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَمَوْلَايَ

My request

وَمُعْتَمَدِيْ وَرَجَاۤئِيْ

O' my chief

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

my master

وَاَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ ذَنْبِيْ

my trustworthy

فَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ ثَقِيْلَ الظَّهْرِ بِعَظِيْمِ مَا بَارَزْتُكَ بِهِ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِيْ

my hope

وَرَكِبَنِيْ مِنْ مَظَالِمِ عِبَادِكَ مَا لَايَكْفِيْنِيْ

is to bless Muhammad and the holy family of Muhammad and forgive my sins; I have come to You with heavy and tremendous load for the sin I have committed against You and Your servant's oppressions has mounted on me and no one will set me free from it except You

وَلَايُخَلِّصُنِيْ مِنْهَا غَيْرُكَ

no one has power over it and no one possess it beside You

وَلَايَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ

O' my master

وَلَايَمْلِكُهُ سِوَاكَ فَامْحُ يَا سَيِّدِيْ كَثْرَةَ سَيِّئَاتِيْ بِيَسِيْرِ عَبَرَاتِيْ

erase my abundant sin due to my less warning

بَلْ بِقَسَاوَةِ قَلْبِيْ

rather due to the hardness of my heart and solidity of my eye

وَجُمُوْدِ عَيْنِيْ

No! Rather with Your blessing that dominated all things

لَا بَلْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ

and I am among those things

وَاَنَا شَيْءٌ

then let Your blessing dominates me

فَلْتَسَعْنِيْ رَحْمَتُكَ

O' the Beneficent

يَا رَحْمَانُ يَا رَحِيْمُ

O' the Merciful

يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

O' the Most Merciful of the merciful.

لَاتَمْتَحِنِّيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْمِحَنِ

O' God

وَلَاتُسَلِّطْ عَلَيَّ مَنْ لَايَرْحَمُنِيْ

don't examine me in this world with tribulations and don't empowered on me he who will not have mercy on me

وَلَاتُهْلِكْنِيْ بِذُنُوْبِيْ

and don't destroy me due to my sins and quickly free me from all adversity and protect me from all oppressions and don't humiliates my veil

وَعَجِّلْ خَلَاصِيْ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوْهٍ

don't expose my evil deeds the day You shall gather Your creatures for accountability

وَادْفَعْ عَنِّيْ كُلَّ ظُلْمٍ

O' He whose gift and reward is in abundant.

وَلَاتَهْتِكْ سَتْرِيْ

And do not tear away my veil of concealment,

وَلَاتَفْضَحْنِيْ يَوْمَ جَمْعِكَ الْخَلَاۤئِقَ لِلْحِسَابِ

And do not disgrace me on the Day You gather all creation for reckoning,

يَا جَزِيْلَ الْعَطَاۤءِ وَالثَّوَابِ

O He of abundant bestowal and reward!

اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

I requested from You to bless Muhammad and the holy family of Muhammad and to let me live like the life of the fortunate ones and let me die like the death of the Martyrs

وَاَنْ تُحْيِيَنِيْ حَيٰوةَ السُّعَدَاۤءِ

and accept me with anaffectionate acceptance

وَتُمِيْتَنِيْ مِيْتَةَ الشُّهَدَاۤءِ

and protect me in this abject world from the evils of its despotic rulers and aggressors

وَتَقْبَلَنِيْ قَبُوْلَ الْاَوِدَّاۤءِ

its evils

وَتَحْفَظَنِيْ فِيْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا الدَّنِيَّةِ

its lovers and those that serve it and its content and save me from the evil of its tyrant its envious ones and those that aspire for polytheism among them.

مِنْ شَرِّ سَلَاطِيْنِهَا وَفُجَّارِهَا

From the evil of its tyrants and its transgressors,

وَشِرَارِهَا وَمُحِبِّيْهَا

And its wicked ones and its lovers,

وَالْعَامِلِيْنَ لَهَا وَمَا فِيْهَا

And those who toil for it and whatever is in it.

وَقِنِيْ شَرَّ طُغَاتِهَا وَحُسَّادِهَا

And protect me from the evil of its oppressors and its enviers,

وَبَاغِىْ الشِّرْكِ فِيْهَا

And those who seek to associate partners therein.

حَتَّى تَكْفِيَنِيْ مَكْرَ الْمَكَرَةِ

Till You suffice me from the deceits and tricks and scoop out from me the eyes of the unbeliever and dumbstruck from me the tongues of the sinful ones, and detain the hands of the oppressions from me and weaken their plots on me and kill them with their wrath

وَتَفْقَاَ عَنِّيْ اَعْيُنَ الْكَفَرَةِ

occupy their hearing, sight and mind

وَتُفْحِمَ عَنِّيْ اَلْسُنَ الْفَجَرَةِ

in all that You let me be in Your sincerity, protection

وَتَقْبِضَ لِيْ عَلٰى اَيْدِي الظَّلَمَةِ

sanctuary, sovereignty

وَتُوْهِنَ عَنِّيْ كَيْدَهُمْ

cover, guard

وَتُمِيْتَهُمْ بِغَيْظِهِمْ

refuge and Your nearby, protect me from my evil neighbours and associates

وَتَشْغَلَهُمْ بِاَسْمَاعِهِمْ وَاَبْصَارِهِمْ وَاَفْئِدَتِهِمْ

indeed You possess power over all things, {My protector is God who sent the Book

وَتَجْعَلَنِيْ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ كُلِّهِ فِيْ اَمْنِكَ وَاَمَانِكَ

and He takes into His protection the righteous}[15]

وَحِرْزِكَ وَسُلْطَانِكَ

And Your fortress and Your dominion,

وَحِجَابِكَ وَكَنَفِكَ

And Your veil and Your shelter,

وَعِيَاذِكَ وَجَارِكَ

And Your refuge and Your protection.

وَمِنْ جَارِ السُّوْءِ وَجَلِيْسِ السُّوْءِ

And from the evil neighbor and the evil companion.

اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

Indeed, You have power over all things.

«اِنَّ وَلِيِّيَ اللهُ الَّذِيْ نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى الصَّالِحِيْنَ»

"Indeed, my Protector is Allah, Who revealed the Book, and He takes into His protection the righteous."

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ اَعُوْذُ

O' Allah, with You I seek refuge

وَبِكَ اَلُوْذُ

with You I delighted, it is You I worship

وَلَكَ اَعْبُدُ

unto You I put my hope and from You I seek for help, with You I suffice

وَاِيَّاكَ اَرْجُوْ

from You I seek for assistance, with You I seek for rescue and from You I requested for every thing

وَبِكَ اَسْتَعِيْنُ

so send Your blessing on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad and don't reject me except all my sins are forgiving and all my effort being appreciated and un wasted transaction, bestowed on me what is worthy of You and don't bestowed on me what is worthy of me

وَبِكَ اَسْتَكْفِيْ

indeed You possess piety, forgiveness and You are the possessor of favour and mercy

وَبِكَ اَسْتَغِيْثُ

O' my God! I have prolong my supplications, and my speech are in abundant

وَبِكَ اَسْتَنْقِذُ

my mind is tightened, induce all that in me and constrain me on it

وَمِنْكَ اَسْئَلُ

knowing from me that it suffice You my little call to grant all my need, just as little salt suffice the flour when making pasta or dough

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

rather Your servant's strong determination is enough, just for Your servant to say O' my Lord! In order to grant his requests

وَلَاتَرُدَّنِيْ اِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ مَغْفُوْرٍ

and with sincere intention and good speech, even in Your servant's assumption on You as his Lord is enough to grant his supplications

وَسَعْيٍ مَشْكُوْرٍ

so I have right from my deep heart with strong determination invoke upon You, and I requested from You to send Your blessing upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad and coupling my supplication with Your acceptance and let me attain my hope in You

وَتِجَارَةٍ لَنْ تَبُوْرَ

because favour, might

وَاَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ مَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ

strength and ability are from You, O' Allah don't erect me from this my position except You grant all my request because it is very easy for You and recalling it is might and much before me and You possess the power over it

وَلَاتَفْعَلَ بِي مَا اَنَا اَهْلُهُ

O' The All-Hearing, O' The All-Seeing.

فَاِنَّكَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَاَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ

For indeed, You are worthy of being revered and You are worthy of granting forgiveness,

وَاَهْلُ الْفَضْلِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ

And worthy of grace and mercy.

اِلٰهِيْ وَقَدْ اَطَلْتُ دُعَائِيْ

O' my God! From this my position

وَاَكْثَرْتُ خِطَابِيْ

I seek Your refuge from Hell fire

وَضِيْقُ صَدْرِيْ حَدَانِيْ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ كُلِّهِ

who ran away from You and come back to You

وَحَمَلَنِيْ عَلَيْهِ

from the sins You attacked

عِلْمًا مِنِّيْ بِاَنَّهُ يُجْزِيْكَ مِنْهُ قَدْرُ الْمِلْحِ فِي الْعَجِيْنِ

and deficiency You exposed

بَلْ يَكْفِيْكَ عَزْمُ اِرَادَةٍ وَاَنْ يَقُوْلَ الْعَبْدُ بِنِيَّةٍ صَادِقَةٍ وَلِسَانٍ صَادِقٍ يَا رَبِّ

then bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and glance at me with blessing sight that will make me succeed by entering into Your Paradise

فَتَكُوْنَ عِنْدَ ظَنَّ عَبْدِكَ بِكَ

sympathize with me such sympathy that will rescued me from Your punishment

وَقَدْ نَاجَاكَ بِعَزْمِ الْاِرَادَةِ قَلْبِيْ

indeed the Paradise and Hell fire are Your own and they are at Your possession

فَاَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

the keys and the padlocks are Yours and You possess that strength

وَاَنْ تُقْرِنَ دُعَاۤئِيْ بِالْاِجَابَةِ مِنْكَ

and unto You every thing is easy and simple

وَتُبَلِّغَنِيْ مَا اَمَّلْتُهُ فِيْكَ

So do for me what I have requested from You

مِنَّةً مِنْكَ وَطَوْلًا

O' The Mighty and there is no strength nor power except with Allah

وَقُوَّةً وَحَوْلًا

the Exalted

لَاتُقِيْمُنِيْ مِنْ مَقَامِيْ هٰذَا اِلَّا بِقَضَاۤءِ جَمِيْعِ مَا سَاَلْتُكَ

The Greatest

فَاِنَّهُ عَلَيْكَ يَسِيْرٌ

Allah suffice us the excellent trustee; How excellent master You are! How excellent Helper You are! All praise are being to God

وَخَطَرَهُ عِنْدِيْ جَلِيْلٌ كَثِيْرٌ

the Lord of the worlds and may Your Blessing be upon our master

وَاَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَدِيْرٌ

Muhammad and his purified family

يَا سَمِيْعُ يَابَصِيْرُ اِلٰهِيْ وَهٰذَا مَقَامُ الْعَاۤئِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

O All-Hearing! O All-Seeing! My God, this is the station of one who seeks refuge in You from the Fire,

وَالْهَارِبِ مِنْكَ اِلَيْكَ

And one who flees from You unto You,

مِنْ ذُنُوْبٍ تَهَجَّمَتْهُ

From sins that have overwhelmed him,

وَعُيُوْبٍ فَضَحَتْهُ

And faults that have disgraced him.

فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

So send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

وَانْظُرْ اِلَيَّ نَظْرَةً رَحِيْمَةً اَفُوْزُ بِهَا اِلٰى جَنَّتِكَ

And look upon me with a merciful glance through which I attain Your Paradise,

وَاعْطِفْ عَلَيَّ عَطْفَةً اَنْجُوْ بِهَا مِنْ عِقَابِكَ

And show compassion toward me with a kindness through which I am saved from Your punishment.

فَاِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ لَكَ وَبِيَدِكَ

For indeed, Paradise and Hellfire are Yours and in Your hand,

وَمَفَاتِيْحَهُمَا وَمَغَالِيْقَهُمَا اِلَيْكَ

And the keys and locks of both are with You.

وَاَنْتَ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ قَادِرٌ

And You are able to do that,

وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ هَيِّنٌ يَسِيْرٌ فَافْعَلْ بِيْ مَا سَاَلْتُكَ يَا قَدِيْرُ

And it is easy and simple for You; so do for me what I have asked You, O All-Powerful!

وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

And there is no power nor strength save with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.

وَحَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ

And sufficient for us is Allah, and how excellent a Guardian He is!

نِعْمَ الْمَوْلٰى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ

How excellent a Master and how excellent a Helper!

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

And all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.

وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

And may Allah send blessings upon our Master Muhammad and his Purified Household.

وَصَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلى سَيِّدِ الْأَنْبِياءِ

O’ Allah, send mercy upon the Leader of Prophets

وَخَيْرِ الْأَوْلِياءِ

the best of Guardians, the superior one among all the chosen ones

وَأَفْضَلِ الْأَصْفِياءِ

the mightiest among all the purified ones, and the most complete of all the pious ones whom You have sent as a bringer of good tidings and a warner

وَأَعْلَى الْأَزْكِياءِ

and the inviter towards Allah, and an illuminating lamp

وَأَكْمَلِ الْأَتْقِياءِ

Mohammad the chosen one (peace be upon him), and his Holy Progeny

أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْحَقِّ بَشيراً وَنَذيراً

who are the keys of mighty secrets and the glowing lamps of piousness, And peace be upon one who follows the guidance

وَداعِياً إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ

and send mercy upon all the prophets and messengers, and all Your obedient ones from the heaven and the earth

وَسِراجاً مُنيراً

and send the best mercy and salutations exclusively on Mohammad (peace be upon him), O’ Allah

مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُصْطَفى وَآلِهِ مَفاتيحِ أَسْرارِ الْعُلى

have mercy upon us amongst them, and forgive us with them

وَمَصابيحِ أَنْوارِ التُّقى . وَالسَّلامُ عَلى مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدى

with Your mercy, O’ the most merciful one.

وَصَلِّ عَلى جَميعِ الْأَنْبِياءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ وَعَلى أَهْلِ طاعَتِكَ أَجْمَعينَ

And send blessings upon all the Prophets and Messengers, and upon all the people of Your obedience,

مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّماواتِ وَالْأَرَضينَ

From among the inhabitants of the heavens and the earths.

وَاخْصُصْ مُحَمَّداً بِأَفْضَلِ الصَّلاةِ وَالتَّسْليمِ . أَللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنا فيهِمْ

And single out Muhammad with the finest blessings and salutations. O Allah, have mercy upon us among them,

وَاغْفِرْ لَنا مَعَهُمْ

And forgive us along with them,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ .

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

أَللَّهُمَّ بِكَ يَصُولُ الصَّائِلُ

O’ Allah, the bearer bears with Your support

وَبِقُدْرَتِكَ يَطُولُ الطَّائِلُ

and the dominator dominates with the help of Your power, and there is not movement or power for any living being without Your help

وَلا حَوْلَ لِكُلِّ ذي حَوْلٍ إِلّا بِكَ

and there is no ability which makes an able excel but it comes from You, I recall You by the right of Your chosen one between the creations

وَلا قُوَّةَ يَمْتازُها ذُوالْقُوَّةِ إِلّا مِنْكَ

the selected one amongst all your inventions, Mohammad

بِصَفْوَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

Your Prophet, and his Holy Progeny (peace be upon them)

وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِكَ

Send mercy upon them and suffice me from the evil of this day and its harms, and make the good and desirable of this day as my share

مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ وَعِتْرَتِهِ وَسُلالَتِهِ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ

and bless me with the best safety in all the works and deeds that I perform, and bless me with love and attainment of my wishes and suffice me from the deceiving rebels

صَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاكْفِني شَرَّ هذَا الْيَوْمِ وَضُرَّهُ

and from all the powerful men who intend to harm me, so that I shall remain in Your shelter and refuge

وَارْزُقْني خَيْرَهُ وَيُمْنَهُ. وَاقْضِ لي في مُتَصَرَّفاتي بِحُسْنِ الْعافِيَةِ

from all calamities and punishments; and change all the frightening things from my deeds into peaceful and safe ones, and make all the obstacles easy for me so that no preventer prevents me from what I have decided

وَبُلُوغِ الْمَحَبَّةِ

and no undesirable incidents like the sorrows and difficulties of cities descend on me; indeed You are able for all things; and all the cases return towards You, O’ He who has nothing like unto Him

وَالظَّفَرِ بِالْاُمْنِيَّةِ

and He is the Hearing, the Seeing

وَكِفايَةِ الطَّاغِيَةِ الْمُغْوِيَةِ

and All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.[18]

وَكُلِّ ذي قُدْرَةٍ لي عَلى أَذِيَّةٍ

And from every possessor of power who may cause me harm,

حَتَّى أَكُونَ في جُنَّةٍ وَعِصْمَةٍ مِنْ كُلِّ بَلاءٍ وَنِقْمَةٍ. وَأَبْدِلْني فيهِ مِنَ الْمَخاوِفِ أَمْناً

So that I may be in a shield and protection from every affliction and wrath. And replace for me therein the fears with security,

وَمِنَ الْعَوائِقِ فيهِ يُسْراً

And from the obstacles therein, ease,

حَتَّى لايَصُدَّني صادٌّ عَنِ الْمُرادِ

So that no hindrance may turn me away from my purpose,

وَلايَحِلَّ بي طارِقٌ مِنْ أَذَى الْبِلادِ

And no calamity may befall me from the harms of the land.

إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ قَديرٌ

Indeed, You have power over all things,

وَالْاُمُورُ إِلَيْكَ تَصيرُ

And all affairs return to You.

يا مَنْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ

O He Whose like there is nothing,

وَهُوَ السَّميعُ الْبَصيرُ

And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

وَالْحَمْدُ للَّهِِ رَبِّ الْعالَمينَ .

And all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
