Prayer of Imam Mahdi

(إيّاك نعبد وإيّاك نستعين)

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

سبحان ربي العظيم وبحمده

Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great, and praise be to Him.

سبحان ربي الأعلى وبحمده

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High, and praise be to Him.

اللَّهُمَّ إنْ أطَعْتُكَ فَالَمحْمَدَةُ لَكَ وَإنْ عَصَيْتُكَ فَالحُجَّةُ لَكَ مِنْكَ الرّوحُ وَمِنْكَ الفَرَجُ ، سُبْحانَ مَنْ أنْعَمَ وَشَكَرَ سُبْحانَ مَنْ قَدَرَ وَغَفَرَ. اللَّهُمَّ إنْ كُنْتُ عَصَيْتُكَ فَإنّي قَدْ أطَعْتُكَ في أحَبِّ الاشْياءِ إلَيكَ وَهوَ الايمانُ بِكَ ، لَمْ أتَّخِذْ لَكَ وَلَداً وَلَمْ أدْعُ لَكَ شَريكا مَنّا مِنْكَ بِهِ عَليّ لامنّا مِنّي بِهِ عَلَيْكَ ، وَقَدْ عَصَيْتُكَ يا ألهي عَلى غَيْرِ وَجْهِ المُكابَرَةِ وَلا الخُروجَ عَنْ عُبودِيَّتِكَ وَلا الجُحودِ لِرِبوبيَّتِكَ ، ولكِنْ أطَعْتُ هَوايَ وَأزَلَّني الشَّيْطانُ فَلَكَ الحُجَّةُ عَليّ وَالبَيانُ ، فَإنْ تُعَذِبْني فَبِذنوبي غَيْرَ ظالِمٍ وَإنْ تَغْفِرْ لي وَتَرْحَمْنِي فَإنَّكَ جَوادٌ كَريمٌ.

O Allah, if I have obeyed You, the praise belongs to You; and if I have disobeyed You, the proof belongs to You. From You comes relief and from You comes deliverance. Glory be to Him who bestows blessings and gives thanks; glory be to Him who decrees and forgives. O Allah, if I have disobeyed You, I have nevertheless obeyed You in the most beloved of things to You, which is faith in You. I have not attributed to You a son, nor have I called upon a partner for You — this is a favor from You upon me, not a favor from me upon You. And I have disobeyed You, O my God, not in defiance nor in rejection of Your servitude nor in denial of Your lordship, but I followed my desires and the devil led me astray. So the proof is Yours against me and the evidence is clear. If You punish me, it is for my sins and You are not unjust; and if You forgive me and have mercy on me, then You are indeed the Most Generous, the Most Noble.

يا كَريمُ يا كَريمُ.

O All-generous! O All-generous!

يا آمِنا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيٍ وَكُلُّ شَيٍ مِنْكَ خائِفٌ حَذِرٌ ، أسْأَلَكَ بِأمْنِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيٍ وَخَوفِ كُلِّ شَيٍ مِنْكَ أنْ تُصَلّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأنْ تُعْطيَني أمانا لِنَفْسي وَأهْلي وَمالي وَوَلَدي حَتّى لاأخافَ أحَداً وَلاأحْذَرَ مِنْ شَيٍ أبَداً ، إنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيٍ قَديرٌ ، وَحَسْبُنا الله وَنِعْمَ الوَكيلُ. يا كافيَ إبْراهيمَ نَمْرودَ وَياكافيَ موسى فِرْعَوْنَ. أَسْأَلُكَ [١] أنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآل مُحَمَّدٍ وَأنْ تَكْفيَني شَرَّ فُلانٍ بِنْ فُلانٍ

O You who are secure from all things while all things are fearful and cautious of You, I ask You by Your security from all things and the fear of all things from You, that You send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and that You grant safety to myself, my family, my wealth, and my children, so that I shall never fear anyone nor dread anything ever. Verily You have power over all things, and Allah is sufficient for us and how excellent a Guardian He is. O You who sufficed Ibrahim against Nimrod, and who sufficed Musa against Pharaoh, I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and to suffice me against the evil of so-and-so, son of so-and-so.
